It was early the morning of April 9 when 20-year-old Blake Leland Zengo reportedly sprayed a can of Liquid ASS in the face of a young woman at the Whiskey Bent bar on East Clayton Street. The noxious fumes drove some patrons out of the bar and were heard talking about how badly it smelled inside, according to an Athens-Clarke County police report.
When police officers arrived on the scene, patrons who remained at the bar pointed out Zengo as the culprit, and when officers spoke to him on the bar’s patio Zengo denied responsibility.
Zengo was described in the police report as being “very inebriated, and was slurring his words,” and when they searched him they found in his pants pocket a spray bottle of Liquid ASS. The product is described on its website as being “super-concentrated” and able to “fill the air with a genuine, foul butt-crack smell with hints of dead animal and fresh poo.”
Police arrested the Bogart resident on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and underage consumption of alcohol.
A plea agreement was reached last week in Athens-Clarke County State Court in which Zengo pleaded guilty to all charges and was sentenced to 18 months of supervised probation.
State Court Chief Judge Ethelyn Simpson additionally ordered Zengo to perform 100 hours of community service, pay $655 in fines and court fees and obtain substance abuse treatment.
