Jeez, I might need to take a little break from DD. The rage is just pouring off me today, one of the guys I work for noticed.

He needs "treatment"? He could have got that in jail. Probably not the kind of treatment this lily livered judge was thinking of though.

Mr. B. reckons the judge et al were paid off.

I wasn't completely happy with my current, so I decided to go with Bert the Turtle. You're right, I guess it does suit my messages. :D

Sorry to resurrect this but I made a connection!
Steve Carrell is going to be in a movie about the millionaire murderer John E. du Pont & I was reminded of this story.

They're related. I tried to figure it out on wiki but my brain combusted, I think they're cousins. Point is, the du Pont family may have more skeletons than the average family.

The du Pont family heir who raped his 3-year-old daughter has reached a tentative settlement with his former wife in a sexual abuse lawsuit she filed on behalf of their two children

Attorneys for Tracy Richards filed a motion Friday seeking approval of the proposed settlement with Robert H. Richards IV in Sussex County Superior Court. A hearing before Judge Richard F. Stokes, which will be closed to the public, is set for Tuesday.

The motion was filed under seal, said Thomas Neuberger, one of Tracy Richards' attorneys,

John D. Balaguer, attorney for Robert Richards, could not be reached late Friday.

If Stokes approves the terms, the settlement would mark a swift end to a case that shocked many inside and out of Delaware's legal system.

Richards, 48, who avoided prison after pleading guilty to the rape of his daughter, is a scion not only of the family that built a worldwide chemical empire in Delaware but also one that founded the prominent Wilmington law firm Richards Layton & Finger.

Depositions had been scheduled this month for Richards and his parents, former Richards Layton & Finger partner Robert H. Richards III and his wife Wendy. But the court docket shows that both depositions were canceled.

I really don't get it. Who will EVER do business with this fucker? Who will ever have this prick over for dinner? The bastard ADMITTED it! Why is he considered a valuable member of society? Why?? Because we need more baby rapers?

I guess his children now know how much they are worth to society. Motherfucker.

I can't fathom not putting his ass in prison just because he is a "scion" of two different families. Big deal. I would be ashamed of having come from the Du Pont family now. I hope he is never allowed around any children again.

(I wasn't sure to post this here or in the Past Crimes forum, so please move if necessary.)

After admitting to raping his own 3-year-old daughter, Robert H. Richards IV, heir to the DuPont fortune, was sentenced to a whopping eight years in prison. If that sounds excessive, please kill yourself, you dirty sick pedophile. Superior Court Judge Jan Jurden, surprisingly, didn't blow her brains out when she decided that eight years was too much of a hardship for a wealthy man like Richards. She worried that he "wouldn't fare well" in prison, though it doesn't seem she cared how his daughter was faring after being molested by her own father. She did sentence him to in-patient treatment at a Massachusetts psychiatric clinic. He never went to it though. What would in-patient treatment do for a man that molests his children? Maybe get him to admit that he has a problem and that the problem rests with himself. During his trial, he blamed his wife and pornography for causing him to molest his daughter. Throughout the trial he showed no remorse for his actions.

But Richards probably had good reason for not wanting to seek treatment. While in another treatment program, he admitted to also molesting his son. He has never been charged with this act, and it only came to light in 2010 when his ex-wife filed a lawsuit seeking damages to cover the expense of his son and daughter to go through psychological counseling. She also states in her suit that Richards was once a counselor at a children's camp and that there might be other victims out there. So... why wasn't he sentenced to prison again?
