A pet cat was found with horrific injuries after being impaled with a 20cm bamboo stick and left to die in a front yard in Sydney's east in a disgusting animal cruelty attack.
The RPSCA is urgently seeking the community’s help after discovering that the sickening injuries had been cruelly and purposely inflicted on three-year-old Pussy Baker.
The fatally injured pet was found by his owner just after 8am on Thursday 19 October in the front yard of a property on Mason Place in Clovelly.
The cat was rushed to Sydney University Teaching Hospital where he received pain treatment, and full diagnostics.
Initial post mortem results indicated the stick was forcefully inserted into the cat’s rectum causing irreparable internal injuries.
Options were discussed with Pussy Baker's owner, but in the end there was little choice but to allow the vet to humanely euthanise the animal.
RSPCA NSW is pleading with any members of the public that may have information about this malicious attack to come forward and make a confidential report.
