http://dearly.com/2017/07/13420-ca-...oddlers-2-year-old-bound-gagged-beaten-death/When 2-year-old Bryce George was admitted to Tulare Regional Medical Center in California, he wasn't breathing — and he didn't have a heartbeat.
The young boy was stabilized at the hospital and transferred to the nearby Valley Children's Hospital. Sadly, he died of his injuries shortly afterward.
After George was admitted to the hospital, the Tulare Police Department received a call from the medical personnel reporting that an unresponsive boy had suffered from injuries consistent with abuse.
Investigators arrested his mother, Shania Alamillo, 23; her sister, Adriana Alamillo, 27; and their unrelated roommate Edward Dias, 36.
Further investigation revealed that Adriana had a 3-year-old daughter also living in the home. The young girl showed signs consistent with abuse and was taken under custody of Child Protective Services.
The Visalia Times-Delta reported that the official complaint, which has been filed by the district attorney's office, vividly describes the abuse that had been endured by the young children:
The defendants allegedly bound George with a rope, placed a gag in his mouth, forced him to kneel with his hands behind his head, and beat him with a piece of wood. He was likely kept without sleep.
The unnamed young girl had also allegedly been bound, gagged, beaten, and starved in the home.
District Attorney Tim Ward wrote in a press release that this kind of “heinous” abuse is not tolerated in the California community:
“Heinous crimes like these are why we created the Crimes against Children Unit in 2013. A crime against a child is a crime against our community.”
The three defendants have all been officially charged with homicide, assault resulting in death, conspiracy to commit the crime of torture, torture, and child abuse.
