And that is what is so freaking terrifying about Genene Jones, she seems just so normal and nice.

I remember this bitch, In May of 84 I had a 4 year old and was pregnant, hearing about her was horrifying, I could not imagine someone who could do these things fully knowing that you were more than likely killing a baby on purpose to make you look like supernurse. I really hope they never let her out.

Yeah, she shouldnt get out of prison ever. I think she was the first serial murder who I read about. She was scary. And all the babies were from poor moms.

No, she needs the death penalty. Try her for another murder and go for death this time.

Nurse who 'murdered 40 infants with poisonous injection' in the 1980s is up for parole... and looks set to be released in less than four years
    • Genene Jones was only convicted of killing one infant, though is believed to have murdered dozens
    • She was sentenced to 99 years in prison - but under 1980s statutes will serve only one third of that
    • She will be released in February 2018
    • Prosecutors are looking for new evidence from the cases - which date back 40 years - in an effort to convict her of a new crime

Good call. I personally feel confident someone will do something to prevent her from being released or violating the terms of her release.
Not everyone has forgotten her . I read the book and to this day I remember thinking she was the most evil thing I'd ever heard about.
So if I were you genene jones I wouldn't get too excited about the idea of getting out. I can't begin to imagine anyone would want to
help make things easier for you. If you do get out you'd be smart to look over your shoulder constantly, and don't trust ANYONE who
says they want to be your friend. That person doesn't exist. You put so many parents and innocent babies through hell. They trusted you and that was misplaced totally. I suspect that if you do actually get out, you'll want to be back inside with your own kind real
    quick.

Now that was an act of a completely depraved mind. To inject a lethal dose of succinylcholine into a baby while it lay in the mothers arms. An act so morally broken that it could only have been perpetrated by an individual with a dark, diseased and atrophying organ that can only be pumping putrefying sludge. The consequences are a brain that shows up looking like this.

Confused why no other prosecutions are taking place. THe article in the first post mentions hospital documents were shredded, but surely the state would have compiled their own evidence.

Is there or is there not actual evidence, not mere heavy suspicion, that she had killed other children?

And who is this dipshit prosecutor back then who somehow didn't know of this 1977 good conduct bullshit????

I recently read "Death Shift" and it was unbelievable how she got away with so much for so long. When I googled her I couldn't believe that she had been up for parole in 2014 and is scheduled for mandatory release in 2018, unless she is prosecuted for another death.

The same thing happened with serial killer "Evil Eyes" Carl Watts in Texas. He killed between 13-15 women. He was about to be released because of the automatic mandatory release and accrued "good time" law, but was successfully prosecuted for another murder and will remain in jail for the rest of his life. (*Parole boards in Texas now have the right to intervene on automatic release dates.)

In the book "Death Shift", when Babykiller quit working for the hospital and went to work for the private practice doctor, right before she was arrested, she injected TWO kids with the succinylcholine and actually accompanied them on the life flight helicopter and kept trying to kill them on the flight! The helicopter had to land in a pasture to attempt to bring one of them back to life. One boy died, one lived.

She was injecting at least one child a week at the private practice and untold numbers at the hospital. The number of children she injected with deadly drugs is believed to be in the hundreds, with 40-50 children dying. If she could bring the child back to life she was a hero, if the child died she would sometimes parade throughout the hospital hallways cradling the dead child in her arms, sobbing.

The book is well worth the read. It's free if you're a Scribd member.

Chelsea McClellan, the infant she now sits in jail for murdering.

My computer is running so slow it won't let me C&P any of it but what the article basically says is that they are indicting her on the death of another baby and will try her again to keep her in jail, she is scheduled to be released in less than a year for good behavior and because of overcrowding. She so does not need to be free to kill again, because she will if given the opportunity.

Former nurse Genene Jones, 66, may be responsible for the deaths of up to 60 young children, prosecutors said. She was indicted on a murder charge for the second time in recent weeks.
    (AP)

    06/21/2017

A former Texas nurse serving time for killing a toddler and sickening another boy was indicted Wednesday on her second murder charge in recent weeks.

Genene Jones, 66, whom prosecutors suspect of killing up to 60 young children, was charged in the September 1981 death of 2-year-old Rosemary Vega.

She was charged with a separate count of murder in May for killing an 11-month-old boy.

Jones is already serving concurrent 99-year and 60-year sentences in state prison for the 1982 killing of a toddler and the sickening of a 4-week-old boy who survived a blood thinner injection.

She was scheduled to be released in March under a Texas law that shortens prison terms for well-behaved inmates. Think the fuck again.

Someone like her doesn't ever need to be near young vulnerable children ever again, for that matter old vulnerable people either.

She's a nurse, and I can see her first job after getting out would be companion/sitter to the elderly. It's hard to get folks who can and will do that and she will kill again to make herself look good while trying to "save" them.

But she wouldn't need one to sit with old people. It's happened before, a dangerous person like her ends up sitting with vulnerable old people.

    Patricia Allanson is one example.

At one point she was operating about 20 miles from the town I live in. Ann Rule wrote a book on her, "Everything She Ever Wanted".

SAN ANTONIO -- A former Texas nurse who prosecutors say may be responsible for the deaths of up to 60 young children was indicted Wednesday on a murder charge for the second time in recent weeks.

The Bexar County district attorney's office said in a statement that Genene Jones was charged in the September 1981 death of 2-year-old Rosemary Vega.

She was charged with a separate count of murder last month in the death of an 11-month-old boy.

I hope they try her one dead baby at a time until she dies in prison. People like her, who disguise themselves as nurses and pretend to be so caring, scare the shit out of me, you never see them coming until they've killed and killed again, she needs to never get out of prison. Never, ever, ever.

Suspected "killer nurse" indicted in another infant's death

SAN ANTONIO -- A former nurse who prosecutors believe could be responsible for the deaths of up to 60 Texas children was indicted Tuesday on a murder charge for the fifth time this year.

Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood said a grand jury handed down the new murder indictment against Genene Jones in the 1981 death of 3-month-old Paul Villarreal.

WOOHOO!!! Keep that bitch locked up. I just saw the Forensic Files episode on her recently. Scary how she could get away with it for so long. A forensic numbers guy took all the nurses working at the hospital at the same time as her and assigned numbers to them. Then he graphed the infant deaths according to time of day and who was on duty. Nurse 34 had the highest graph bar...far beyond all the others. Can you guess who Nurse 34 was? Yup, Jones. When she was arrested, she was working for a private doctor in another town. The hospital gave her good references (probably because they couldn't prove she was responsible but wanted to get her the hell out of their ICU). More deaths occurred at her new employment before they caught her. Almost ruined that poor doctor's practice. Did some serious damage to her reputation and took her many years to regain the townspeople's trust.

I saw that same one not long ago, too and seems there's a book that I read also. She is one demented child killer and I am absolutely convinced she'd do it again if she were ever released. I'm glad they are continuing to charge her to keep her in prison, she really needed the death penalty.

She'll never work in healthcare again even if she is released. I'd be willing to bet there's at least one relative of the 40-60+ infants (even this many years later) that would seek her out for retribution. I don't think she'd last longer than a couple months before her death was being reported in the papers. If she did kill that many, she has one of the highest body counts in serial killer history.
