Roneisha Neeley, 31, is charged with aggravated assault and theft up to $500 in connection with the incident that occurred at the Hartsville Pike store on April 29.

The store manager followed Neeley out of the store around 4:30 p.m. after noticing her purse was full of what appeared to be stolen merchandise, according to an arrest affidavit.

“While she was behind the vehicle, the female suspect put the vehicle in reverse and struck (the manager) on the left hip as she was fleeing the parking lot,” according to the affidavit. “Neeley did not acknowledge or provide any treatment to (the victim) after this incident, but fled from the scene prior to police arrival.”

Police later located Neeley, who was positively identified in a photo lineup by the manager.

Neeley was still being held in the Sumner County Jail on $5,000 bond Tuesday. She is scheduled to appear in Sumner County General Sessions court June 1.

Whereas shoplifting would have basically been nothing, now she's charged with aggravated assault and theft.

I sat here for ten minutes, and wrote several different one-liners, none of which sufficiently conveys the idiocy of this moran.

For that, I am a failure. Sorta like her.

Of all the places to shoplift...:bag: It had to be Dollar General. She couldn't go high-end, perhaps making it worthwhile. No, no, no it had to be DG. SMH :hilarious:

I'm not even going to post one thing about, Roneisha. She's a dumb cunt and I'm not wasting my time on her. At 31 she should have set her sights a little higher than Dollar general.

I want to talk about this store manager.
Man/woman? Dollar store manager person, What were you thinking. Nothing in dollar general is worth risking you life or health over.
You already knew Roneisha was a dumb desperate cunt by the fact that she was stealing crap from dollar general. Then you went and stood behind her car and got yourself hit.
Think, Think Think. You have a whole life to live and dollar general isn't worth it.

Edit to fix spelling error and say another thing.
Dollar general store manager, If you got killed, What would dollar general do without you?
They would hire the next person. Thats what they would do.

In my time as Assistant Manager & Manager, I've seen them get fired because they were robbed, No matter what happened it wouldn't be long before they were just gone.

Tho the manager, in a high crime area of Macon, GA, carried a gun, and tried to shoot the guy who tried to take a deposit bag off of him, he was gone even quicker. But what do they expect when you have several thousand dollars in a leather bag under your arm and it's policy that money is deposited every night and you have no escort, police ain't got time for that shit.

And it's easy at a DG because there is hardly ever more than 2 people on duty there at one time and most of the time, one of them is one break. Or the manager is holed up in the office.

It's just that under that much is most probably only a slap on the wrist and above that means they'll get in more trouble, quite likely she had less than $50.00. Tho it really depends on what she was shoplifting.

DG loses lots of merchandise to shoplifting rings, so they keep a lot of the more expensive things behind the counter now, Tide laundry detergent, the high end candles and warm scents plug-in thingies and the more expensive most abused medicines, like sudafed, for meth addicts. And of course the Cigarettes.

Once when I worked at DG in Macon, I was the only one in the store, I could see almost the entire parking lot, it was empty and a man comes walking up, comes in, has nothing in his hands, about 10 minutes later he strolls right past me with a handful of clothes on hangers slung over his shoulder and three yellow DG bags stuffed full. Hold up where you going? I'm gonna take this out for my mama to look at. Do you think I'm as stupid as I look? so he meekly hands it back over to me and walks away, then I realize I could have been shot! He had about $3-400 work of stuff, clothes, make-up, toothpaste, vitamins, and a lot of other stuff.

You have make sure you look thru anything that can be opened like totes, once someone emptied a bag of dog food into a tote and then filled the dog food bag with merchandise and walk right thru check out with it, we only found it out later when we found the loose dog food. I can't really lay it all of the cashiers, even tho they are our first and last line of defense because they have to wear so many hats while they work there and I've also been there done that. I'm so glad I don't have to do that any more.

@cubby When I visit my family in the south, the closest store is dollar general. Once I saw a woman shoplifting and the cashier tried to stop her from leaving the store. The shoplifter started beating the cashier with a two liter bottle of generic soda. And it escalated into a full on brawl. Did I mention the shoplifter was heavily pregnant?

I'm glad you don't have to deal with that kind of craziness anymore.

Me, too, tho I was never physically attacked, there was always that possibility, since stuff was walking out of the store every minute of every day.

At one store, it was so isolated that if I had been attacked, no one would have known it, the closest business was a grocery store across the hiway and then across their huge parking lot, I couldn't have screamed and got their attention, there wasn't any civilization for 10-15 miles in any direction, very small town, if fact, it's Woodbury of Walking Dead fame, it's even smaller than it seemed on the show.

You know, they're building a DG just a couple of blocks from where my d-i-l's parents live outside of Waco. They're absolutely despondent about it, because they inherited the house and land from d-i-l's grandparents and thought they'd be retiring there and have something to leave to my d-i-l. I was even thinking about selling my house and moving there if I can ever stop working. Everyone's plans are now on hold. Her parents are considering selling and moving farther out. :(

I need a manager. You're it, until you're dead or I find someone better.
