Poplar Bluff police are looking for the mother of a baby found alone inside a home.

Officers were called to the 300 block of West Midland Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Inside the home, officers found a child lying in a bed crying, with a heavily soiled diaper.

Police do not know how long she had been there, but she had a fan blowing over her and an empty bottle next to her.

The child was given to an investigator with the Missouri Children's Division.

Police are looking for 19-year-old Jasmine Baldazo of Poplar Bluff who is believed to be the child's mother.

Police say it seemed as if someone tried to make her comfortable for an extended period.

This gives a little more information but she is still missing as is a 2 y/o child.
police chief Donnie Trout said. "Everything indicates she (19-year-old Jasmine Baldazo) had made arrangements with her parents in Arkansas to watch the child, but no one knows who they are or where they live.

"There is no indications of foul play or anything at her residence."

About 9:35 a.m., police Patrolman Jerry Cates was sent to a home in the 300 block of West Midland Street about a report of a unattended child.

Upon arriving, Cates contacted a woman who told him she was in her backyard when she saw a black male in his 20s exit the back door of Baldazo's home, according to Cates' report,

"(The male) asked if she knew the resident and further stated there was an unattended infant inside," Cates said. "(The man) told her he was going to check places where the mother might be."

It appears mom intentionally set the baby up with a bottle and fan to keep her comfortable...seeming like she'd be back shortly. I hope mom didn't meet with foul play when she left the house. She never should have left the baby alone...ever...for any reason but I've been on the DD too long...so I know it happens.

Thank ya', ma'am. :hattip:
[doublepost=1461713988,1461713776][/doublepost]So she's missing, along with her older child? This man went to the house, saw the infant alone, then left without doing anything, saying he was going to look for her, so the neighbor investigated and called police?

Ugh. @BostonBurns is right. But why take one child and leave the other?

According to neighbors, the older child was with relatives and there wasn'tany food in the house for the older kid, so I assume the oldest is probably someplace else.

Maybe different baby daddy with the baby and she couldn't find someone to watch her

Hopefully mom is okay and didn't intentionally leave the baby alone. This story has a lot of unanswered questions and many speculations. Hope everything turns out well for this family.

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -
Poplar Bluff police say the mother of a child left alone in a home was found Wednesday morning.

[...]

Wednesday morning around 9:00 a.m., the child's mother, 19-year-old Jasmine Baldazo of Poplar Bluff, checked herself in at a local hospital.

Baldazo told officers she left the child unattended Sunday night.

A probable cause affidavit was submitted to the Butler County prosecuting attorney seeking charges of endangering the welfare of a child.

Where is the toddler?

The toddler was located in Arkansas with the mom's parents.. The authorities took custody of the Lil girl and placed the 2 together in foster care .. I'm assuming the grand parents did not want either child.:pout:poor kiddos .

I read she checked herself into a regular hospital. Despite having nothing medically wrong?

And she left the baby at home in the crib to do so?

Lemme look for a link.
