That's a fucking shame. I bet she was on Ambien or something on top of drunk. I honestly cannot feel hate towards her. She was out partying with her of age kid and lost her damn mind. Once she sobers up I know nothing on earth will make her feel worse than the realization of what she's done.

I know that Ambien can really mess a person up but I know nothing about the effects with alcohol, bear with me, please.
Are you saying she took the Ambien after a night of drinking and that's what caused it or can Ambien last in the system long enough that if she took it ht enight before that drinking the night of th eshootig would cause significant adverse effects?

People take Ambien to get high. Mostly dumbasses, but yes, I think maybe she took an Ambien in a drunken state of mind thinking she would pass out in the back seat but instead she stayed awake and went nuts. Or she could have taken Xanax or who knows what, I just don't think she was plain old drunk.

Hey, I resemble that remark...
I think she just tied one on, maybe drank a type of liquor that didn't agree with her, personally vodka turns me into a monster, so something like that. I hadn't factored any pills into the equation.
Honestly, if she took something on top of the alcohol then I still lack sympathy because she put herself in that state, she wasn't slipped anything unknowingly, at least as far as we know.

Another possibility is she was so fucked up that the son actually gave her an Ambien thinking it would knock her out on the way home. I have made that mistake a time or two with people who were so fucked up they needed to go to bed. I learned though, it's not a great plan and does not work.

Well she's apparently a pretty good shot when she's drunk. Which makes me wonder how drunk she really was - or how high on whatever. Sure, her targets weren't far away, but still...and why didn't they take the gun away from her if they knew she was under some sort of intoxicant? I have a few questions about this incident.

From what I've witnessed, alcohol increases the effect of ambien. My wife uses ambien to sleep. And unfortunately she's taken to drinking alot nowadays (go ahead and blame me if you want). Anyway, after the ambien kicks in, she doesn't remember anything in the morning. And if you don't go to bed and try to sleep when it kicks in, you can do fucked up shit. One night, she went on a long dissertation about how we need a "platter to serve on" for an event supposedly taking place the next day. I filmed her on video so I could show it to her, and she didn't remember any of it (or so she claimed).
Another night, she got out of tub and splashed so much fucking water everywhere there was 1/2 inch water standing in the entire master bathroom. She just walked to the bed and went to sleep while I cleaned it all up. She didn't remember any of it (or so she claimed).
I've always worried she'd do something dangerous or get hurt, so have encouraged her to take it after she gets in bed, but for some reason she won't do it. Probably because her doctor told her to take it 30 minutes before bedtime. What do I know, right?

When my mom first started taking ambien she would get up in the night and start cooking and she almost caused a fire... And she had no memory of it..thankfully she changed her prescription..
I'm kinda in the middle of blaming or not blaming her... If she took other meds/alcohol before and knew she would do crazy things but still continue to take them ..than she needs to take responsibility.. But if someone gave it to her or it was the first time she went wacko after using than my heart would go out to her.. I would like to hear what she has to say.
