Five people, four of them children, have been stabbed to death at a house in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
The five victims range in age from 18-months to 20-years old and were all discovered by emergency responders just before 11pm Saturday night. Three were pronounced dead at the scene,

A 25-year-old male suspect covered in blood was seen being led from the scene of the grisly rampage after the heartbroken father of the child victims arrived too late to save them.

Two others were taken to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced, the FDNY spokesperson added. They were the mother and oldest son....

The victims are a 20-year-old woman, two girls aged nine and six, and two boys aged eight and eighteen-months-old

The 25-year-old covered in blood seen led from the scene is said to be the older cousin of the child victims

Witnesses told the Post he was 'bizarrely calm,' even as body bags went past him as cops led him away.


'He was completely composed and answering their questions even as they brought out two black bags with the kids in them,' said a horrified neighbor

'He was still calmly answering their questions as the stretcher with the bloody child was rolled right past the car,' the neighbor added. 'Again, he seemed unfazed.'

The mother's sister, present during the attacks, sources told the Post, called both 911 and the father.

He arrived as his family was being butchered to death, but was unable to stop them from dying, according to cop

'The father walked in and grabbed [the stabber] and tried to stop him but it was too late

A source told the Daily News the stabbing is looking like a domestic case, since the victims were related to a suspect taken into custody.

An Asian man was taken barefoot, his feet caked in blood, from the home in handcuffs by police, he has not yet been identified.

'A person has been taken into custody from the scene for questioning,' an NYPD spokesperson confirmed. No charges were filed as of early Sunday morning

No, not the 25 year old suspect, the 20 year old woman who was one of the victims. I'm reading it like the 20 year old is the wife and the children range in age from 9 to 18 months, so I'm wondering if she is the stepmom or what.

A distraught cousin of the dead mom said she had met the suspect in the past, describing him as a “crazy” man who works as a cook who can’t hold down a job and had lived on and off with the victims in the past.

“He’s lazy. He doesn’t work too hard,” Gao Yun, 29, said after stumbling on the crime scene Sunday morning and breaking down in sobs after learning about the Saturday night bloodbath.

Witnesses said he had no shoes on, and his feet were bloody, Lehpamer reported. Police said he implicated himself in the slayings.

“Horrific, horrific crime,” said NYPD Chief of Department Phillip Banks III. “Perpetrator’s in custody. We believe he acted alone. Investigation is ongoing. A mother is deceased, along with her four children — two of her sons, and two of her daughters. Bad situation there, but hopefully just the fact that the perpetrator’s in custody may bring some type of relief to the family members if possible.”

Ming is an immigrant from China, who was staying with the family for about a week, WCBS 880′s Ginny Kosola reported.

If he butchered them where is all the blood on him? You'd think he would be covered in it and not just bloody bare feet.

This just makes me sick. WTF? Kill the people who have helped you (I imagine since he can't keep a job and he's lived with them on and off) because they had too much?

Because they had ENOUGH, they helped you!!

He claims he did it because they were more succesful in America than he was and lived a better lifestyle. He also appears to be a small fellow. Those are the ones that get ass raped in prison daily. His prior jobs was all kitchen work. Now his salad will really get tossed.
 
In the stories I've read, it stated he was not related to them, but just living with them, and basically hopping from house to house, and living with whom ever would take him in for short periods of time. It was on msn....

Chinese immigrant who authorities said butchered five relatives with a meat cleaver in a fit of jealousy, including four small children, will serve at least 125 years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to murder and manslaughter charges.

Mingdong Chen admitted that he killed his cousin's wife, 37-year-old Qiao Zhen Li, and her children, Linda, 9; Amy, 7; Kevin, 5; and William Zhou, 18 months; in October 2013.

The 27-year-old showed no visible reaction as he entered his plea. Under a deal with prosecutors, Chen must serve at least 125 years in prison before becoming eligible for parole.

Prosecutors said Li called her mother-in-law in China on the evening of Oct. 27, 2013, saying Chen was in the house with a knife and threatening the family. When the mother-in-law heard children crying in the background, she called other relatives in New York who rushed to the home in Brooklyn's Sunset Park neighborhood. By the time they arrived, the five relatives were dead and Chen was dripping in blood.

Police said the family had been slaughtered, each of the five repeatedly stabbed and slashed in the throat and neck. Their bodies were found strewn about the house. Chen had been staying in their home for about a week before the killings, authorities said.

When detectives questioned him, Chen told them he was jealous of the success of his fellow Chinese immigrants, police said. Relatives said he had been fired from different restaurant jobs.

But exactly what set off Chen's rampage remains a mystery, one that left family members, prosecutors and the judge with a burning question.

"The question is why he'd do these things," state Supreme Court Judge Vincent Del Giudice said. "It really doesn't much matter."

Assistant District Attorney Mark Hale said prosecutors offered Chen the deal because it would spare Li's husband and other relatives from having "to relive the worst day of their lives." Hale said they also wanted to ensure that Chen would publicly admit to the killings. Li's husband was in court Wednesday but declined to comment.

She called her mother-in-law in China to tell her that there was a guy threatening them with a knife. MIL calls other relatives who live much closer, who arrive too late. Had Ms Li called 911 instead of a woman in China, there might have been a different outcome.

I'm glad their murderer will never be free again, though. Heinous.
 
So much for their family's shot at the American Dream. At only 27 yrs. old he's so jealous of not 'making it' like others, he obliterates an entire limb off the family tree - a mother and her children at that. Not enough guts to confront dad, too... Imagining the scene, the sounds, and the smell...it's just too much to take. :(
