ONE of the eight men accused of being part of a shocking pedophile ring has had his bail revoked after it was revealed he was not living at the required address.

Alfred John Impicciatore’s lawyer Stephen Butcher said his client was not regularly residing at the address listed in his bail conditions, arguing that media camping outside his house was creating problems for him and his neighbours.

The court was told that Mr Impicciatore’s housemate had informed police that he had not seen him for six weeks.

The police prosecutor rejected Mr Impicciatore’s claims, saying the media was not an excuse because the allegations were not made public until two days ago.

Mr Butcher said his client, a 45-year-old master builder who had a business with seven employees, was not a flight risk and had strong ties to the community.

But Magistrate Michelle Pontifex said Mr Impicciatore’s failure to comply with bail conditions, coupled with his belated court appearance on Friday meant she could not be satisfied that he would obey his bail requirements in the future.

Ms Pontifex said the seriousness of the charges spoke for themselves.

She remanded Mr Impicciatore in custody to appear in court again next month.

Earlier on Friday the magistrate had issued a warrant for Mr Impicciatore’s arrest when he failed to appear at Joondalup Magistrates Court at 9.30am to face four counts of sexual penetration of a child.

He then arrived at Joondalup Court more than an hour after the magistrate issued the arrest warrant, appearing with a new lawyer.

Mr Impicciatore is one of eight men charged with a total of 503 sexual abuse offences against a 13-year-old girl.

Police alleged this week that the girl was “rescued” after she was sexually abused by at least eight men, including her father, when she was aged between 11 and 13.

The girl’s father allegedly used his daughter as a sex slave and organised her to meet the seven other men at various locations where the offences were committed.

A tip off from a member of the public exposed the alleged pedophile ring.

Mr Impicciatore had been on bail and has yet to enter pleas to the charges.

One of the eight accused men was allegedly in possession of 200,000 videos and four million child pornography images.

One of those charged is Christian preacher David Volmer, 41, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to 12 charges.

The other accused men are 35-year-old Nicholas Adam Beer, 41-year-old Troy Phillip Milbourne, 42-year-old Ryan Trevor Clegg, 47-year-old Mark Wesley Liggins and 47-year-old Benjamin Simon Clarke.

West Australian police commissioner Karl O’Callaghan said this week that he could not remember a case like this in WA, describing it as “really bizarre and really disturbing.”

Child sex accused Mark Wesley Liggins faces Mandurah Court

A Coodanup accused of being part of a West Australian paedophile ring faced Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.

Mark Wesley Liggins is one of eight men facing charges relating to child sex offences involving a 13-year-old girl.

These charges include two counts of intending to expose a child under 13 to indecent matter, two counts of procuring a child under 13 for sexual activity, one count of possessing child exploitation material, two counts of using electronic communication to expose a child under 16 to indecent matter and three counts of using electronic communication with intent to procure a person under the age of 16 to engage in sexual activity.

Mr Liggins, 47, has also been charged with possessing cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

He is among eight charged over child sex offences which police claim spanned over two years.

He was not required to plead and refused to comment on the charges.

The matter was adjourned for four weeks to allow Mr Liggins to make a legal aid application.

His bail was extended and he was ordered to appear again on September 1.

Man accused of taking part in WA paedophile ring pleads guilty
Troy Phillip Milbourne, 41, of South Bunbury appeared in the Bunbury Magistrates Court today via video link from Hakea Prison.

Milbourne pleaded guilty to four counts of indecently dealing with a child under the age of 13.

He also pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual penetration of a child under the age of 13 in Butler between January and November last year.

TWO men accused of sexually abusing a 13-year girl — including the child’s father who allegedly organised a pedophile ring to share her — have appeared in separate Perth courts.

The men face nearly 400 charges of sexual abuse relating to the alleged sordid treatment of the girl.

The Perth father who allegedly organised a pedophile ring to sexually abuse his 13-year-old daughter appeared briefly in Perth Magistrates and remains behind bars in Hakea Prison.

The man, who cannot be named in order to protect the identity of his daughter, appeared via video link from Hakea Prison.

The father was not required to enter pleas to any of his 230 charges and did not speak during his appearance.

The charges include 170 counts of indecent recording of a child, 21 counts of sexual penetration of a child, six counts of sexual servitude of a child, 24 counts of indecently dealing with a child, three counts of stupefying in order to commit an indictable offence, two counts of distributing child exploitation material and one count each of showing indecent material to a child and procuring, encouraging or inciting a child to do an indecent act.

He was remanded in custody to appear again in October.

Another man, Nicholas Adam Beer, 35, of Wanneroo, appeared in Joondalup Magistrates Court facing 163 charges, including including 152 counts of indecent recording of a child and four counts of sexual penetration of a child.

Mr Beer’s lawyer made an application to vary his residential address, one of the conditions of his bail.

An Attadale man, Ryan Trevor Clegg, 42, faces 61 offences relating to the alleged abuse of a 13-year-old girl.

ONE of eight men accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl who was allegedly exploited by her father has faced court and had his bail conditions changed.

Ryan Trevor Clegg, 42, is charged with 61 offences including five counts of indecent dealing with a child, four counts of sexual penetration of a child and 48 counts of indecently recording a child.

Clegg appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday and changed his bail address from Attadale to another suburb in the city’s south.

Benjamin Simon Clarke appeared briefly in Joondalup Magistrates Court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on September 25.

He now faces 21 counts of indecent recording of a child, three counts of indecent dealing with a child under 13, and one count of distributing child exploitation material.

The girl's father, who cannot be named, is also among the accused and allegedly organised for the other men to meet with her when she was aged 11 to 13.

The eight men face a total of 503 charges.

Possible negotiations for child sex case

Cos it's Australia. This one's from my town actually, which makes me want to vomit. I work with youth with mental health problems... we are the only unit for 17yo's in the state at the moment, and our clients are all 16-19yo's.... what's the bet this poor baby ends up there in the future? So many of our clients have been damaged by sexual abuse and assault or just crappy parenting.

He said a bit more than the quoted statement... he said it was fun while it lasted but it went a bit too far.... A BIT TOO FAR????.... THINKING about raping a child is "a bit too far".... raping your OWN child and allowing others to while you watch or join in? I have no words.

Well my gag reflexes work all too well. This poor child has gone through hell. I can't even process this without wanting to throw up. These people don't change. They have proven to be broken and when something like that is broken it's time to take the trash out.
