Texas police busted nearly 30 men for allegedly trying to meet kids for sex — and those netted include a firefighter, school band director and state prison guard, authorities said.

The two-month undercover sting in Montgomery County, Tex., led to the arrests of 26 alleged sexual predators who prosecutors say targeted boys and girls online to exploit them for sex between April and May.

The suspects, whose ages range between 20 and 70, face felony offenses, including charges for online solicitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.

They all did more than just communicate online with people who they thought were minors — but who were actually undercover investigators, Montgomery County District Attorney Brett Ligon said at a news conference.

"They've gotten in their vehicle, they've bought the duct tape, they've bought the condoms, they've tried to arrange a meeting place, and they've shown up at that meeting place only to be disappointed," he said.
[....]
"I think everybody kind of has in their mind what a pedophile looks like, and it's some dirty guy with long shaggy hair and fingernails," Ligon said, while pointing to photos of the perps.

"And if this board is not more of a representative cross section of what a true pedophile looks like, then you're deceiving yourself."

The takedown, called "Operation Safe Summer," was a collaboration between several local law enforcement agencies and Homeland Security to take child predators off the streets.

The others who were arrested are Ricardo Yanez-Centeno, Marcus Johnson, John Mahler, Timothy Miller, Emery Gondamovo, Adnan Shroff, Mark Ximenez, Donald Ganung, Uriel Soriano-Morales, Jerry Baty, Raymundo DeLeon Jr., Michael Daily, Lonnie White, Richard Rees, Jessie Scarborough, Mark Tipton, Juan Badillo, Alejandro Martinez, Christopher Neef, Klaus Riel, Juan Silva-Esparza, Mendell Williams and Brian Utter.

YES!!! This list of all the perverts needs to be passed on to everyone. They are disgusting and a danger to our society.

"They've gotten in their vehicle, they've bought the duct tape, they've bought the condoms, they've tried to arrange a meeting place

There is no defense to all that, none, they shouldn't even try. I can hope they go away forever, but they probably won't. Let the tard-defense commence.

.... and those netted included a firefighter, a school band director and a state prison guard. I don't think anyone thinks pedophiles step out of the dark shadows as some sort of unknown beast anymore. The beast is known and with the assistance of the great web way they can shop around to see what is on the take out menu. Notice the ones whose profession is listed all hold positions of trust. As Cubby said, there is no defense for predators that prey on children for sexual gratification, absolutely none. Unfortunately they just rotate these sexual predators in a revolving door of the system. One comes in the front door while one is released out the back. All you have to do is pull up the map of the sexual predators in your city to see how close one lives to you to clue you to that. Oh, but it's o.k. as they aren't supposed to have any contact with children as a condition of their parole. I feel so much better knowing that, don't you?

30 perverts in a 2-month sting? Goddamn, that's a lot of sick fucks.

But this part:

They've gotten in their vehicle, they've bought the duct tape, they've bought the condoms
What the fuck is the duct tape for? Wait, nevermind, don't tell me, I don't want to know.

~DIAFplease~ Oh for the day that we would not have to Preach about a child's right to make it into adulthood without being the victim of a sexual predator from within the home or without. Some scars you wear forever as there is no plastic surgery remedy for their removal.

Death Penalty for Child Molesters?
I won't lie, in theory it's an idea that I love. Without a doubt I can make the impassioned argument that a child rapist is like a murderer as in they have murdered a part of every child they have raped, a part that the child will never get back, the innocence, the sense of safety and security, the trust, even the emotions.

BUT...

If we give them death for raping children then what is to stop them from murdering the child, completely, once the act of rape is over? The punishment is the same so why the Hell not, right.

As staunch, pro-death penalty as I am, that is one risk I can't get behind. If sentencing molesters to death actually causes the death of just 1 child then we have failed. It's simply not worth the risk.

Yes, I say to kill them, it's raw emotion and rage when I read these stories and that is what I want in that part of my brain, but the rational and logical part of my brain knows that the risk far outweighs the benefit in this case. While raped children have lost a part of themselves, a big part of themselves, the fact is they are still alive and with tremendous help, love and support they can not only survive but also thrive and go on to move mountains, if the punishment is the same for child rape as it is for murder then how many will murder simply because it's easier to get away with something if there are no living witnesses? It's just not worth that risk in my eyes.

Look at the collection of mugshots...no Asians. They may be taking up all the Freshman spots in the UC system but at least they're not diddling kids...

Both sets of my grandparents are from the deep south and even as a very young person I can remember hearing them speak about how when they were growing up the law was never called when a child had been sexually brutalized. The person that was held responsible somehow met with a mysterious accident or had left town very suddenly for some unknown reason. This very possibly was not the best solution but it certainly guaranteed no repeat offences if what they said in fact was true and they weren't much into fabrications unless it was some spooky ghost story that used to raise the hair on all their grandchildren's heads. God bless 'em!! Miss them!

I want to exile them survive or dont but the only problem is their families! Some I'm sure are pukes and I wouldn't care but I always have that mother thing saying, what if it was your kid and you were a good mom and got a bad seed! I hate hurting those that dont deserve it but damn! All the money saved could be used for victims, vets, homeless and mental health programs!
