A D.C. man arrested for allegedly raping a nun in Prince George's County was ordered held without bond by a judge on Friday.

Authorities said 27-year-old Juan Alex Randolph broke into the victim's house in Chillum Wednesday night and where he threatened to shoot her and demanded money before raping her twice. Randolph then stole a black Samsung Galaxy and left, court documents alleged.

Police arrested Randolph at his apartment in southeast D.C. on Thursday, where officers said they found him hiding in a kitchen cabinet.

Randolph has been charged with rape, assault, burglary, robbery, theft and home invasion among other charges.

Court records show Randolph was previously charged as a peeping Tom in Baltimore in 2006 and was convicted of a misdemeanor voyeurism charge in D.C. in 2014.

A D.C. man arrested for videotaping a woman in the bathroom of a public library last fall is accused of raping a nun in Prince George’s County.

Juan Randolph, 27, is facing rape and assault charges in the case. He is accused of breaking into the home of a nun in her 50s and raping her. D.C. police sources say Randolph went right back to his home on 51st Street NE after committing the crime. Police found him hiding underneath a sink there Thursday morning.

Police say Randolph admitted he was responsible for sexually assaulting the nun. He is now facing first- and second-degree rape, first- and second-degree assault, theft and home invasion charges.

A court order shows Randolph was just released from the custody of D.C. authorities—which included time at a psychiatric facility and a halfway house—15 days ago.

In an exclusive story last November, ABC7 was the first to report when Randolph was arrested for secretly videotaping a woman on his cellphone inside a bathroom at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library downtown.

Sources said during a search of Randolph’s apartment in the fall, he repeatedly said to officers he “had a problem,” and confessed.

ABC7 found at least seven court cases against Randolph for alleged domestic abuse. In February, a D.C. court ruled that, for the safety of the community, he needed to be held at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for a psychiatric assessment.

Good to see the system is working. :sour:

I'm not religious but to rape a nun is so wrong. She devotes her life to her beliefs only to have her life turned upside down. I only hope that her faith helps her to heal.
