Not sure if any of you are watching Better Call Saul, but I am really, really digging it. A lot more than I thought I would. If you have never seen Breaking Bad (which you should) you can still watch this with no issues. The only thing you would miss are some of the inside Easter eggs and characters that play roles in Breaking Bad, which all takes place before the events of Better Call Saul.

Anyway, I thought I would make a thread for the show for any of you watching who may want to talk about it. As always, please use the spoiler tag when applicable.

Watched the third episode last night and can't wait for the next one. Might be my new favourite show lol. He was definitely one of my favourite characters in Breaking Bad. I'm also a big fan of Spinal Tap :D.

So far they are doing a great job at fleshing out his character in such a short amount of time. I mean it is already apparent why he went through the shit he did with Walt, as he was just seeing a lot of himself in Walt. It's also real good seeing Mike again.

I watched the first episode but wasn't paying too much attention, I think I was reading on the DD at the time, so I might have to go back and watch it again and pay attention this time. Just on y'all say so.

I like it, but i'm a little dissapointed. I was expecting this to be more lightheared and even more comedic in tone than Breaking Bad. What i've been getting thus far is actually a bit less funny than Breaking Bad(the first couple seasons anyway). I suppose it makes sense that Saul wasn't always the hilarious, shameless baffoon he is on BB, however seeing him in his duller early stages simply isn't nearly as entertaining.

Still quality, solid stuff and there's some laughs to be had, and i'm def interested in how Jimmy became Saul, but it's a damn slow and hate to say it, but on occasion dull ride.

I hope we get an episode at some point or an arc that focuses entirely on his casework. Imagine some coutroom drama/law and order type of show but fueled by Gilligan and Co. quirky brilliance, and a character as amazing as Saul. Be hilarious.

LOVE the Mike aspect. Prob my fav thing about it right now is his inclusion. LOVE Mike. More interested in his backstory at this point than Sauls.

I meant to comment on this thread earlier, but got sidetracked. I love this show and highly recommend it it.

I tend to DVR everything, and let a few weeks build up and then binge watch. Last night I watched episodes 6-7-8. All were excellent. I especially liked Five-O. Getting Mike's back story was awesome and he deserves an award for his acting in this episode. Only thing I can nitpick is the age of his granddaughter. Isn't she virtually the same age she was in BB? Or is my memory off?

I've been loving the show, and really enjoying seeing the transformation of Jimmy into Saul. Liked finding out how Saul came by his name - 's all good, man." :D Love seeing McKean as Chuck, and also the backstory with Mike. Now re-watching all of Breaking Bad as a result. The writing, acting, and production on both shows is masterful—something all too rare in this day and age. (Showing my age more and more very day, lol.)

Agree on all counts. Tremendous stuff.

This show is fantastic. Slow start but it's proved to be yet more Vince Gillian tv gold.

And yes, dimwitted continuity error with the daughters age, no doubt about it.

Must be getting popular! Wednesday's L & O SVU used the line, "Uh oh, better call Saul" in a scene where a female Probation Officer was dirty dealing with guys on her caseload for sex, threatening them w/going back to prison and using each of these guys against each other to set up any of them who didn't want to have sex with her, even at gunpoint (Male Rape episode). Might have to check it out.

Ugh, a show as dimwitted and shittily written as LO SVU doesn't deserve to reference brilliance like Better Call Saul.

Don't get me wrong, i still watch SVU, but that's cuz it's one of the funniest(albeit unintentionally) shows on tv.
I missed the probation officer one, sounds like it was pretty damn hot.

I've been watching Breaking Bad (boyfriend has been downloading episodes for me, I was slow to catch on to BB) and we've also been watching Better Call Saul. Love it, Bob Odenkirk is a fantastic actor.

The other day I was rewatching some Curb Your Enthusiasm, and saw this episode again http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0551394/ which features Bob Odenkirk as a porno star. Has some brilliant terrible porn moments, and Curb is always awesome.
