First I would like to apologize if this has a thread somewhere else as it dates back to July 2014 and maybe this just needs to be posted as an update but as a search on his name did not reveal anything...

Eric Devin Masters
A little history
GRAND RAPIDS, MI – A man is facing seven charges of sexual exploitation of a child for allegedly videotaping a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Eric Devin Masters, 27, emailed the images over the Internet, according to an indictment unsealed Wednesday, July 2, in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids. The government said the alleged crimes began in 2011 and occurred in Ionia, Kent, Muskegon, Grand Traverse and Mackinac counties.
The indictments do not reveal the relationship between Masters and the alleged victim or victims. He allegedly coerced a minor to engage in sexually explicit conduct that he videotaped or photographed. The government listed 21 titles, most of them videos.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI - A Lowell Township man took an 18-month-old girl to a motel room where he tied her to a bed and video recorded himself having sex with the child and engaging in unimaginable, depraved degradation of the toddler, according to police.
Eric Devin Masters, 28, is charged with four counts of criminal sexual conduct stemming from the alleged assault of the baby in June of 2012 at the former Motel 6 on 76th Street SW in Byron Township.

Judge compares him to Manson...
...U.S. District Judge Robert Holmes Bell said Masters, who served in the U.S. Coast Guard, appeared to have very little insight into his actions. He didn't buy Masters' contention that his addiction to child pornography forced him to commit unspeakable crimes.
...Masters pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation of a child. He said that many, including the victims, their families, his family and himself, have a "long road" because of his addiction to child pornography.
"No, it's because of what you did," Bell interrupted. "It's because of what you did. Understand?"
Masters said: "I do not know how to convey I'm sorry. I'm disgusted with myself. ... The things I did were God awful horrible. I had an addiction that I was feeding for a while. It came to the point to feed it (by creating his own child pornography to share)."
"These were voluntary acts taken by you for your pleasure without any thought of the victims," Bell said.
"What's the difference between you and Charles Manson in California?"
Masters said: "Nobody died in this case."
Manson was convicted of conspiracy to murder in 1971 after his followers killed actress Sharon Tate and four others at her home and a married couple the next day, all at his instruction.
Masters said he wanted to stop but was afraid to get help because he would have to admit to crimes. Bell said the only way Masters could be stopped was by locking him up.
"I am stunned at how little you (are able) to articulate the understanding of yourself other than to stay you're the victim of some kind of problem. You appear to be intelligent, you appear to be likeable.
"But it is stunning for the court to see you have two prior criminal convictions for criminal sexual conduct. You took elaborate steps to get in place a setting, that in fact you would not only record it, but have a plan you would ... send it out to the entire world on the Internet. You wanted the whole world to see what you were doing."
Masters, who was sentenced to three consecutive 200-month prison terms, awaits trial in Kent County Circuit Court for the sexual assaults.
Oops, Forgot the source...Masters awaits trial in Kent County Circuit Court in the toddler's assault. He is facing three first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges that carry the potential for life in prison upon conviction. He pleaded no contest to third-degree criminal-sexual conduct with a 13-year-old in Muskegon County Circuit Court.
Last year, Masters was sentenced to 36 days in jail and five years on probation after he pleaded no contest in Ionia County Circuit Court to second-degree criminal-sexual conduct, state police records showed.
