police have found a body amid the search for Bradley Stone, the suspect in the Montgomery County murder spree that left six people dead and one seriously wounded, and the body has been preliminarily ID'd as Stone.

The body was found in a wooded area about 200 yards from Stone's home in Pennsburg, Pa. on Tuesday afternoon.

Sources say Stone is believed to have killed himself. He was found dead on his knees hunched over wearing sand color camouflage.

Those sources also say it does not appear that Stone shot himself, but his cause of death is not yet known.

Bradley Stone, the suspect behind a murder spree in Montgomery County that left six people dead and one person wounded has been found dead, the district attorney's office has confirmed.

Sources say Stone killed himself with a sword in his stomach, and that sword was used in the murders.

Action News earlier learned that his body was found dressed in sand-colored camouflage. That clothing had Bradley Stone's name on it.

Coroner: Montco killer Brad Stone didn't stab himself

Figures. I was almost impressed when I thought he had disemboweled himself......

From that same link:

County records show that when Stone was sentenced last year for drunken driving, he agreed not to own any "lookalike firearm, lethal weapon, explosives, and/or ammunition," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. But it was unclear Wednesday if anyone sought to enforce that clause or even ask if Stone had a weapon.

That evening, Sanderlin called cops. He said he was walking his dog when a man who looked like Stone approached him with a knife and demanded his car keys.

Sanderlin said his dog attacked the claimed carjacker. Then, he fired three rounds at the suspect as he ran into nearby woods.

Cops thought the claim might be credible because one of Stone’s friends lives in the same apartment complex

Police dispatched a swarm of officers, search helicopters and K-9 units to the area. They ordered residents to stay locked in their homes.

But cops soon realized the carjacker didn’t exist. Sanderlin did, however, shoot his gun, presumably at nothing
