@lithiumgirl I think you might be on the wrong site, you seem to victim shame an awful lot. While selfies were not a thing when I was in high school showing your ass was. I was naked ALL the time, my body looked great and I knew it so I showed it off, did I deserve to be murdered?
I was molested from the time I was five till around 8 by my best friends mother, for the sole purpose of making child porn which according to police my photos are not only still out there they are still traded regularly.was I at fault?
How about when I was fifteen an got raped at a party? My fault or the football playing rapest (what a cliché)?
If neither of those things were my fault than it was totally my fault when I was raped again on my 18th birthday because that time I opened the door to get my pizza and I was dressed all sexy in my ratty sweatpants and oversized t shirt.

You should be ashamed of yourself not just as a victim but as a woman. I am so amazed that you could even bring yourself to type such swill.

Hi @llaishawne . Obviously, you have a different POV on this one (and I bet I know what it is, too, *S*). I'm not joking when I ask if you'd please share it? I posted my response as informational, not necessarily my personal POV. I'm always interested in being introduced to other perspectives. :)

Who? Did I miss something? I'm ignoring JackAss, so did he reference someone?

Nah, was just curious about his/her ( @llaishawne 's ) dislike re: the post I made earlier referencing the movie "The Accused", and how the "she deserved it" crowd helped get some State Rape laws changed for the better. There is a case to be made for dressing & acting provactively, so was just asking him/her to expound. Busy in here today, lol.

This pretty 15 yr old girl who took selfies and posted them had her beautiful face burned to HIDE EVIDENCE of sexual assault/murder. That is pretty obvious. It wasn't jealousy...someone was trying to get away with killing her. Common sense to me after yrs of bein a Demonite!!

I dunno. I'm not ruling anything out yet. Beautiful teenagers gain the hatred of other jealous teenagers who would also not mind setting a body on fire to hide their crime. Or worse, we still don't know cause of death. What if the fire was what killed her? Burn her good looks?.....

I need more info. It hinges on if there was sexual assault involved.

Agreed so much! Pagers were the IN thing, I had no social media to post selfies, but I would have. And I was sent home (hahaha like I went home), countless times for my inappropriate outfits.

Poor girl didn't deserve it at ALL. That's so fucked up.

Just saying that neither one deserved it. If one deserved it by dressing in a "sexualized" way, then the other did also correct?

I'm curious about boyfriends, ex-boyfriends, their new girlfriends, sex, teen pregnancy, and jealousy. Any or all of those could be at play here.
The burning corpse says it's either very personal or the killer knew enough to try and destroy the evidence. This could be an interesting one.
I will also add ex-girlfriends as in both partners or platonic; I may be wrong but it seemed she liked both sexes.
Just by looking at her FB it looks like she was well-known in her community, but she was a 15 yr. old with no mother, no mention of a father and it seems to me she was just very open to being in shady places or in the company of shady people. Very sad, undoubtedly, and a truly horrendous crime! I truly hope they find the killer(s)!

@MRClayton69 that's a very interesting take, at first I didn't get what your point was but once you explained it I found you to be spot on.

Hahaha @CbabyRKO I kept thinking that you were wildly inappropriate, I was like damn, this bitch is stoned again, posting about covering people in delicious pastries. That's all I could think of until someone brought up thee facial covering that is spelled similarly. I wouldn't mind some pastery that's for damn sure, but I would like to apologize for thinking that you're terrible and food obsessed, clearly I'm projecting my need for baked goods onto you.

New to this website here. I've been reading through this thread and I feel compelled to point out that the girl was last seen on her sister's porch at about 4:30AM in the morning! I don't know what 15 year old stays out at that time of night on a porch, but it's apparently what made her a target for crime, not what she was wearing.

Who cares what time it was? It was a place she knew and was comfortable. No one expects to be kidnapped from a porch.

Umm at 15 during the summer I don't think its strange at all to be out at 4:30 am, hell I wouldn't be surprised if she was drinking I know that's what I was doing the last days of summer when I was 15.

HER FRIEND IS MISSING NOW
Family and friends search for missing girl

Hours after Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department released the name of a 15-year-old Ben Davis High School student found badly burned and murdered, 24-Hour News 8 is learning police are investigating the disappearance of the girl’s friend who’s missing.
The mother of 16-year-old Karensha Phelps release a picture of her. The girl’s mother said that her daughter and Dominique were best friends and were always together. Both of them were last seen together Friday. Now, Phelps is no where to be found.

“This is a life. This is somebody’s child,” said Tawanda Sharp,
[...]
Sharp held a flyer with the picture of her God Daughter. Sharp and the girl’s mother went door to door handing out the flyers. Crystal Collins said she’s very concerned about her daughter’s safety.

“I haven’t heard from her, nobody has heard from her. She knows everybody’s number to call. We just don’t have any information,
[...]
Collins fear comes after IMPD identified the girl’s body found behind this west side home Sunday as Dominique Allen.
[..]
Allen’s family talked to the media.

“She did not deserve this. She did not deserve this. She was 15-years-old,”
[...]
Allen’s sister, Shenika Poindexter.

Collins said Allen and her daughter were close friends.

“Dominique and her always switched clothes; she had on Dominique’s clothes the last time anybody saw her,”
[...]
Helen Yeakey doesn’t know Phelps, but wanted to help in the search.

“If I have to walk the streets everyday to find out some information about this that’s what I will do,”
[...]
Yeakey also bought flowers to give to Allen’s family.

“This is devastating. Killing our kids and burning them too, that is so devastating. We are not going to have it out here,”
[...]
Sharp said they are doing everything they can, including talking to police. All they want is for Phelps to come home.

“We just really trying to get the word out that we need everyone to keep an eye out and if they see Karensha to at least call someone,”
[...]
24-Hour News 8 talked with IMPD about this case. They said they are investigating it and after talking with Phelps’ family, they don’t believe she’s in danger.

As for Allen’s case, they are checking every lead, including searching the sex-offender registry . They are asking anyone with information to call crime stoppers at 262-tips.

Friends and family were searching for a missing friend of slain teen Dominique Allen
[...]
Karensha Phelps, 16, was reported as a runaway over the weekend
[...]
Detectives said they do not believe the two cases are related, but the missing girl’s family was worried there could be a connection.

Phelps’ mom, Crystal Collins, said Allen was her daughter’s childhood friend and they were together just days ago.

"I just know that the bond that they have will not keep my daughter away like this unless something has happened and nobody is saying. Or she knows something we just don't know,"
[...]
"I am just scared that somebody took her, maybe she knows what happened and she's scared to say anything."
[...]
her daughter is a repeat runaway, but she said this time felt different. She said her daughter has not made contact with anyone, even as police investigate the killing of her friend who she affectionately called her little sister.

"I want justice for Dominique. I loved her like she was my own. I just want my daughter to come home no matter what the circumstances, I want her to come home and know that I love you Karensha and that's it,"
[...]
Police said they do not believe Phelps was with Allen when she was abducted. Detectives said they were focused on finding whoever is responsible for Allen’s death.

Maybe she is extremely distraught and needed to "get away" from everything, all the saddness?

I quoted that part of the article to point out not that she is a problem child or anything but to show that maybe she "escapes" when things get tough as opposed to being some trouble-making runaway. Sometimes teens do that, leave because dealing with things is just too hard.

Wow. You've never been a teenager? When acceptance was important? Attention from someone, ANYONE?

That's sad....Attention from anyone. The very reason segregation works as punishment in the prison system....you're nothing...now sit there with your self and stand it.

Ever write a paper at a college or university level? Every paper I have written required that I make my point and then give an opposing point of view, its called critical thinking. An argument is never valid with out an examination of both sides. Its not victim shaming, its simply examining the paradox.

lol.

Yeah, self admitting troll in one breath, then trying to state she is trying to look at all the evidence other than there being a psycho killer out there.

Yes.....there is a psycho killer out there.....but WHY??????

I'm not a troll....I like this site because i am fascinated by human nature and I like to read stories about bad guys/bad girls...specifically bad guys/bad girls that are caught. I am very much looking forward to an arrest being made in this case and I will be celebrating that when its posted right here and right along with you.

Because his or her parents failed at parenting, not because the victim took some pictures. Or more accurately, because he or she lacks a moral compass from either nature or nuture, pick your poison on that argument, again, not because the victim took a selfie or many.

I couldn't even wear makeup at 15...Ardenes and Clairs didn't exist thirty years ago...I think my generation got Lucky

How do you know it had not a thing to do with selfies...You don't at this point. More if her parents failed...how did they fail. was it the lack of a curfew, lack of expectation, too permissive...How how how ?

Her mother is dead. It sounds like her sister had custody of her since her mother's death.
