An inmate in Warren County is accused of conspiring with his wife to convey into the prison 12 balloons filled with methamphetamine.

..Casey McCary, 49, swallowed four balloons filled with meth after his wife, Candey McCary, 49, gave the hidden balloons to him during a day visit.

Prison officials interrupted their activities before he could swallow the seven remaining balloons filled with meth, the prosecutor said. After the discovery, Casey McCary was placed in a "dry cell" to await the digestion and passage of the drug-filled balloons.

Five days later McCary passed the balloons and immediately began eating "all evidence of the passing" - poop, balloons and drugs included - the prosecutor said.

"After four more days, McCary passed the four balloons a second time, at which point they were recovered by prison officials," Fornshell said.

Fornshell said McCary was charged with illegal conveyance of drugs into a prison, aggravated possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools and tampering with evidence.
