An Alabama mother allegedly sent images of her own young children engaged in sex acts to a man in Florida via text message, authorities say.
Jennifer Lynne Weekley, 37, of Minette, remains jailed on $300,000 bail at the Baldwin County Jail following a bond hearing on Wednesday when prosecutors described the allegations against her, later characterized by a judge as “pretty horrific,” according to Gulf Coast News Today.
“What we have in this case is Ms. Weekley has communicated with an individual in Florida via text message conversations, Assistant District Attorney Matt Simpson told Baldwin County District Judge William Scully. “We have those text message conversations. In those conversations, she discusses with this person in Florida as to the acts that she would perform with her children who were a girl at the age of 6 or 7 at the time and a boy the age of 3 or 4 at the time.”
The sex acts allegedly depicted in the messages included activities performed on the children and on Weekley herself, as well as other acts she would encourage her children to perform amongst themselves, Simpson said.
“She would photograph these at the request of this individual in Florida and send these images to this individual in Florida,” Simpson said.
Weekley’s daughter was interviewed by authorities and revealed some of the disturbing sex games she was allegedly subjected to by her mother.
“They had a game that they would call ‘Huckle Buckle,’ where she would disclose photographs and engage in activities like penetration that Ms. Weekley would perform on the child that were consistent with the images described on the text conservation and sent to the individual in Florida,” Simpson said.
Weekley, who is charged with sexual abuse of a child under 12, permitting or allowing a child to engage in production of obscene matter and production of obscene matter, was ordered held on $300,000 bond, or $100,000 for each charge. Scully also granted Simpson’s request that Weekley have no contact with her children or other minors under age 18 if she is released on bond. If convicted, she faces up to 20 years to life in prison.
“The allegations they’ve made against you are pretty horrific,” Scully said. “At this time, I will go along with the proposed bond that Mr. Simpson suggested.”
