Officers responded to the report of a vehicle off the road on Monday afternoon. Officers found the Chevy Blazer tipping precariously toward the hill.

The Tribune-Review reports the driver and passenger were slumped over in the front seat and a young child was crying for help in the back seat.

Officers had to remove the driver and passenger from the two-door SUV to get to the child.

The driver, identified as 32-year-old Mark Cuda, faces charges including reckless endangerment, driving under the influence and child endangerment.

Passenger Brandon Wible faces several drug charges. No attorney information is available online.

What the fuck is with the horrible neck tattoos lately!

Thank goodness for those cops. Poor kid crying for help in the back seat, scared to death.
  • Police reportedly found bags of heroin and a dozen needles scattered outside the SUV
Cuda was already turning blue and his daughter was crying for help in the backseat, according to a criminal complaint cited by the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review

In order to remove Cuda, who was unconscious, from the driver's seat, an officer clapped a handcuff on his left wrist and gave him a tug.

As the officer was trying to pull him out of the precariously positioned SUV, Cuda regained consciousness and began actively resisting by gripping the steering wheel to get back into the driver's seat, according to the court documents.

Officers wrote in the complaint that they had to resort to force, namely, kneeing Cuda in the head and striking his forearm, in order to remove him from the Chevy.

One of the officers then climbed into the backseat and pulled Cuda's 7-year-old daughter to safety.
