Two Slidell teenagers have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Mount Hermon drugstore after their getaway car broke down near the crime scene. One suspect, Kody Allen Singletary, 17, of South Wood Drive, who was booked with possession of a gun with an obliterated serial number, was released from the Washington Parish jail Monday (March 20) after posting a $5,000 bond, the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office reported.
The other suspect, 16, was identified by a designer-name cap that he dropped in the pharmacy during the robbery, authorities said. His name is being withheld because of his age.

a witness reported seeing someone climb out of a window. Inside the store, officers found a cap presumably belonging to the burglar, the Sheriff's Office said.
Nearby on Louisiana 38, police came across teenagers in a vehicle that was experiencing mechanical problems. Eyewitness accounts and evidence from the crime scene, including the cap, led to the identification of a 16-year-old boy in the vehicle as the person who had entered the pharmacy. He was arrested and taken to the Florida Parishes Detention Center.
While officers were still at the scene, a witness reported that another teen in the hobbled car was concealing what appeared to be a pistol. Deputies found the gun on Singletary and discovered that the serial number had been filed off.
