Israel's thread needed to be updated.

The long medical saga of brain dead toddler Israel Stinson ended on August 25, 2016.
When Israel returned to the Children's Hospital from Guatemala, Snyder (Stinson's attorney) filed a temporary restraining order preventing the hospital from removing the ventilator, which had kept Stinson artificially breathing since he suffered brain injury following an asthma-related cardiac arrest at UC Davis Medical Center last April.

[...]

The judge ruled that, since the case had already been adjudicated in state and federal court, the lower court in Lo s Angeles was dissolving the temporary order and allowing Children’s Hospital to immediately remove the ventilator.

[...]

“They killed him … he’s stopped breathing,” Kevin Snider, chief attorney with the institute (representing the family), said in a statement.

They killed him? That's a fucked up thing to say. He was artificially breathing because he was on a ventilator, it's not like Israel was alive and was going to pop up out of bed and ask for McDonald's.

RIP Israel.

Exactly, @Satanica! Bringing this quote forward:

According to court papers, CPS was already involved with the family because of their continued failure to comply with medical recommendations needed to keep Israel alive. His mom claims he suffered a "minor" asthma attack and can't understand how this happened, but it happened because his parents failed to get Israel the medical care he needed. They were aware he may not recover from his next attack because of their failure to comply with medical recommendations.

They were negligent parents. It seems they have rewritten history in their minds, but facts are facts. He would no doubt be alive if they were compliant with his necessary medical treatments.
