I felt bad for the mom at first, I know sometimes we have to make tough decisions while we manage things as a single parent, but the more i hear about this story, the more my urge to kill rises...poor baby! You don't leave your kid with anyone who may have something against you!
Hello Echasez, I think you accidently diskliked a bunch of posts.

Hubby finally got around to fully reading the article, he taught middle school in Bakersfield 6 years ago (the middle school he taught at was in that neighborhood where the crime happened) and he remembers a student named Asiah, she would have been in middle school then. Hes saved a bunch of papers of students he taught and he thinks he might have a year book.

Oddly - the apartments where that happened at first from the pic in the story looked like the ones hubs lived at (been to visit there twice he showed me where he lived at in the hood, its pretty bad) but they are actually right across the street from the juvie facility.

A woman pleaded no contest to second-degree murder Thursday in the 2013 death of a toddler.

Asiah Hines, 17 at the time, admitted to striking 1-year-old Kai'dan Timothy Webb several times. Hines was prosecuted as an adult.

Hines is scheduled for sentencing in March. The Kern County District Attorney's Office said she faces a stipulated sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
