Racine police say a 35-year-old man broke into a liquor store and a gas station two days apart, leaving a shirt with his name on it at one location and plenty of fingerprints at the other.

Dustin Brannon, of Trevor, was charged Monday in Racine CountyCircuit Court with two counts of felony burglary of a building. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison and/or up to $50,000 in fines. Because he is considered a repeat offender, a judge could tack on more time to any sentence Brannon might receive.

According to the criminal complaints against him, officers were called at 3:26 a.m. July 28 for a report of a burglar alarm to Port of Call Liquors, 918 West Blvd. When police arrived, they found broken glass entrance doors, and a grey t-shirt that was later determined to list Brannon’s name. The cash register containing $300 was mission, and the register itself was valued at $1,000.

Police say they looked Brannon up in the Phoenix file system and were able to match his photo to the individual seen on store surveillance video.

A second incident was recorded July 30 at the Citgo station at 2240 Northwestern Avenue, the complaint reads. Brannon is seen on store surveillance video without gloves smashing a window to gain entrance to the store and trying to gain access to the cash registers by pulling on the secured plexiglass that protects the area. He also tried to break down the steel door separating the back room from the store before stealing a four-pack of beer from the cooler and exiting through the broken window.

Officers say they collected a number of fingerprints from the scene and matched them to Brannon. He was questioned on August 18 at the Racine County Jail where he was being held on a probation hold.

Brannon remains in the Racine County Jail on a $2,500 cash bond for each charge.

This guy is such a loser. He'll have years to plan how to get around or through those bars and metal doors surrounding him for the next twenty years or so. I don't think his fist will work this time.

How bad does this guy wanna be in jail? What a fucking joke. This is why we need to bring back labor camps for jamokes like this guy.
