"A 32-year-old man died in an apparent accidental drowning, according to the King County Medical Examiner's Office, at Wild Waves Theme Park over the weekend.
...

"At approximately 5:30 p.m. Saturday evening, our lifeguards pulled a 33-year-old male from the Activity Pool," Wild Waves representatives said in a statement released Saturday night. "Lifeguards and first responder teams immediately administered CPR and 911 was called. At 5:33 p.m., South King Fire and Rescue crews arrived on scene and continued rescue efforts. Unfortunately, the man did not regain consciousness."

According to the police report on the incident, investigators found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing. The report said lifeguards discovered the man's body by accident, explaining that the lifeguard on duty originally jumped into the water to retrieve prescription glasses and "discovered an Indian male laying face up on the bottom of the pool."

The report detailed additional incidents where a female lifeguard thought "she saw a blob, but when she jumped in, she could not locate it." After that, the report notes that a group of children approached a lifeguard to report they'd seen "a body at the bottom of the pool," but the lifeguard thought the kids were "pranking him" and dismissed the accounts."

I know they'd have their far share of dealing with unruly kids but you'd think it would be mandatory to check out that kind of report. I think someone is getting fired.

So these were all separate incidents?

In fairness? The blob that she couldn't locate obviously wasn't a body.
And again. Fairness? The body these kids said they saw..wasn't a body. It was indeed a prank.

No dead people were pulled from the water either time, so it seems like a bit of a stretch to include those other "incidents"?

Yay, media! Digging deep in those files to make a story out of a sad tragedy! And vilify this park..

Because said blob "couldn't be located!" Omg, the negligence!

Seriously. Sounds like this article was written by an ambulance chaser.

We don't know when those incidences occurred. It could be that the "blob" was a body and she didn't look in the correct location or didn't look at all.o_O
The kids who reported a body - it says the LG thought it was a prank. No info if he actually looked and how close in time it was to when man was pulled out.
Either way it is negligence that this man drowned and was on the bottom of the pool for god knows how long.
LG are there for a reason.:banghead: And for him to be laying at the bottom of the pool tells me that he had been there for little bit.... Even 4 min is too long.
All the water parks and pools I've been too lately, hire kids and HS students that look like they are falling asleep, have better things to do or are just completely unaware of what is going on in the pool.

According to the news report video at the link below, the mentioned incidents all happened within about 20 minutes prior to the body being found. The video includes an interview with a young girl who claims to have reported a body to two lifeguards who dismissed her on account of them just "searching" the pool, and deciding some scrapes in the paint were what was seen. (The blob)

It doesn't look good from here. I'm sure surveillance footage will confirm the kids story one way or another.
