Authorities are still desperately asking for the public's help in the search for a missing teen they believe may be in "grave danger."[...]

Aleah was not in their Evansville, Indiana home. A stroke as an infant had left Aleah almost completely immobile and in need of constant care.

Her wheelchair and daily medication, meant to help control severe seizures, were left behind, according to police.

"Please, I'm begging whoever has my angel, this is day five without her precious smile waking up to me," Cara Beckerle, Aleah's mother, posted last Friday on Facebook. Monday now marks day eight without Aleah.

Because Aleah cannot walk or speak beyond a few words, police are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

"There is someone out there who knows where Aleah is," Evansville Police Department Captain Andy Chandler told Dateline. "You can't just carry a disabled 19-year-old out of her home and have no one see anything."

A small army of volunteers has spent the past week fanning out through the city, splitting into teams to check creeks, fields and in urban areas. Thousands of fliers have been posted and passed out. Aleah's photo continues to lead local newscasts, is on the front page of newspapers, and is still being shared online by countless people, many of them strangers.

More than 5,500 people have joined the Facebook group 'Bring Aleah Home.' Postings with wishes of hope, search suggestions and the latest on the case fill the digital wall. Search teams with several national organizations have joined the efforts, including the Ohio chapter of Texas Equusearch. Despite massive efforts, few clues have reportedly been discovered.

"We're not just looking at one path right now," Capt. Chandler said. "We've conducted numerous interviews and are focused on finding her.

Aleah Beckerle is described as 4'10" tall, weighing 95 lbs. with short, brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with the words 'Dance Theater' written on it.

So about all they know is that she didn't wander off on her own. You would think someone would have seen something. Yeah this does not make sense.

I totally think its the family too....really, who else would kidnap a person that is immobile and unable to fend for themselves.

It might not be beneath an especially sick person, purposely looking for a female who can't fend for herself... The thought of that gives me shivers... But I totally think it's family. With someone that care-dependent, that's an automatic motive.

Yikes, the movie boxing helena comes to mind.
But there is the question of medication.
She needs her medication.

~ @Athena ~ Aleah being taken by an individual looking for a female that would be unable to flee and totally at their mercy was one of my first thoughts, and known to this family. Not ruling the family out but it always makes me nauseous to go there in cases such as this. Not feeling very hopeful at this point.

Being a caregiver myself someone like her would have constant supervision around the clock so how would someone have time to snatch her while being cared for? Picking up someone out of a wheelchair is a lot of effort despite how much they weigh or picking her up in general takes a lot of effort and it's not a quiet process either. Someone is hiding something I'd keep an eye on whoever was constantly taking care of her just saying

Agreed, a perv is just as likely, but it will be a friend or neighbor, someone familiar with the girls helplessness.

Well, looks like Dad didn't do it.

http://www.fox19.com/story/32509965...irl-devastated-he-cant-help-look-for-daughter

Aleah's dad, Demarco Roach, has been in the Vanderburgh County Jail for a little over a month. Jail staff had to deliver the news to him that his daughter vanished from her East Iowa Street home.

He says it is devastating that he cannot help look for her because he is in jail.

So Mom has been taking care of her...did she have help or was she doing it alone? Was it too much for her?

That's what I'm saying and whoever else was helping the kid looks like a two man assist.

Unless she chopped her up in the bathtub...then it could easily be a one person job.

From here it looks like a blessing for this kid...wheelchair bound and her Dad in jail,

born to losers and DOOMED from birth.

Poor Girl...Aleah...I love her name.

Your just a negative Nancy aren't you? Do you even have friends outside the cyber world?

Have you ever noticed that the women who turn out to be bat-crap crazy in a lot of these type stories have an abundance of close-up FB selfie pics of an alluring nature? I swear it's a pattern, kind of a narcissistic thing. That's what stuck out at me on the mom's page...

That's not true...I'm not a Negative Nancy...like at all, and of course I have friends outside

of the cyber world. My best bestie and I met when we were in our twenties and

have been friends for over twenty years...super rich friendship...we've been through

a lot together, marriage, birth, divorce (hers) vacations...cancer...Everything!

You were way off on your assumptions about my relationship status...single...its complicated,

none of that applies to me.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.
And stay positive about this kid. Miracles do happen.

I think it's a class thing. My trashiest Facebook friends always have the most selfies and tend to zoom in and dress as skankily as possible. Unfortunately, they're generally far less attractive, too, so they don't even share beautiful boobage. :pout:

People with interests, careers, basically anything going for them have photos of themselves out actually doing and experiencing things instead. They aren't into the flagrant attention whoring as much, either.

With all this talk of miracles, has anybody considered that Jesus practically specialised in restoring sight to blind people and telling cripples to get up and walk?
