Davis Wahlman, of Green Lake, told KOMO News when he got to his house he found a couple of lights on and his bathroom window screen in his tub, but said nothing strange dawned on him until he heard some noises coming from his attic the next morning.

"I am kind of jolted out of bed," Wahlman said. "I hear rummaging around above me, which I know is the attic so I'm like 'That's kind of weird.'"

Wahlman tried to figure out what in fact was going on and noticed a light that was on in his office space. The door was locked and when he knocked, he got no response. He then heard a woman’s voice coming from the room.

"'Jimmy? Is that you, Jimmy?'" Wahlman explained. "I'm like 'No, it's not Jimmy. Who is this and why are you in my house?'"

The woman then opened the door and Wahlman began grilling her on why she was in his house.

"I'm like 'Who the heck are you?' Why are you in my house?'" Wahlman said. "And she just keeps kind of going 'This is my house. I live here. I've been here for three days. Jimmy said I could live here, Jimmy said I could stay here.'"

Wahlman said he tried to keep the woman in the house until police arrived, but said it took 18 minutes for officers to arrive, and she got away. He said that was a bit disappointing.

He told KOMO News that he was still unsure how the woman got into his home without messing up anything. He said only a few things were out of place and a fire escape ladder was hanging from the deck.

The woman was described as having dark hair, wearing gym warm up pants with a black track jacket and white hood. She also was carrying a backpack and was wearing a white-knit cap.

We've got serious mental health issues in this state. In fact, the government just sued Western State Mental Hospital, fining them $1,000 for every time it takes them more than a week to get a patient in, and they're up WELL over $100,000 already. Of course, it takes them that long because they're underfunded... by the... government, sooooo...

I don't even care anymore. I'm going to vote a straight socialist ticket this year. I've got the ballot on my counter at home, and I've noticed there are tons of Indians running. It's a good sign.

Dang this could have been pretty damn scary. It definitely could have been a lot worse. I'm kinda laughing at the guy finding his door locked and knocking on doors in his own house...lol. the woman's response was pretty funny too. I can just hear her now, "I live here dude! Where the fuck you been!? The electric bills due!"

I think it's pretty damned scary anyway! I guess I'm in the minority here, but few things would creep me the hell out more than seeing a lady living in my attic.
Every bit of this, to me, is the stuff of nightmares.
Including (but definitely not limited to): "Jimmy said I could stay here."
GAH!

**So it seems I AM capable of writing a short post! Well I'll be switched!

How does this dude totally disregard coming home and finding the screen from his bathroom window in the bathtub. It seems there were a lot of clues.

That would have been my clue to go back out across the street and call the cops.

This Davis guy doesn't seem to be playing with a full deck... o_O from the article, the only real emotion that came from him that I could ascertain was "a bit disappoint[ed]."

Huh. Of ALL the emotions you could choose there, Davis, that's the number one you're gonna go with? Not even surprise? I think most rational people would have either fear or surprise at number 1, the other at number 2, or possibly a tie. I don't think "disappointment" would even come into the equation.

Solely based on this little bit of information, I think he should've invited her to stay. I think they would've made fantastic roommates, if not f-buddies or a couple! They seem to be hovering around the same level of crazy.

Yeah...because those state operated mental institutions were beacons of hope.

Yeah...India...that's a great place. They still have bubonic plague and cholera...not to mention the fact that any woman on public transportation is fair game for rape hordes.

As a 4'11" woman, I probably would have called 911 or at least a few neighbors over before confronting a stranger in the attic...Idc to look like a pussy lol.
