Thank God Derryn Hinch's political party won a seat or two in the election. He's been screaming for a similar setup to America, where all sex offenders are labelled and listed and you can find out where they are.
Plus he's pushing hard for much much harder sentencing on child rapists amongst other things.
These two fuckers will suffer in jail. That's the only solace I can take out of the whole thing. Because dollars to donuts, some weak shit progressively minded Judge will give them an easy ride.

Unfortunately, Australian culture is far more european in regards to its treatment of vile criminals. They won't spend much time in prison and will be welcomed with open arms back into society quite shortly.

ETA: Also the police have clarified that earlier reports of the baby's condition of 'she's fine' were not meant to describe her physical condition- so I'm guessing there was 'damage' done?
And as for the mother being involved- the baby has been removed from & put into foster care.
