IRONTON, Ohio (AP) — Three people were found fatally shot and a fourth person was discovered stabbed and critically wounded at a pair of residences in southeast Ohio. Authorities on Thursday searched for a missing 8-year-old boy who lived at one of the homes.

Officials were also hunting for 23-year-old Aaron Lawson, whom they called a “person of interest” in the attacks.

Deputies found the bodies of three adults in a house trailer in an unincorporated area of Lawrence County at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the sheriff’s office said. A fourth adult was found stabbed in the head and neck about a quarter mile (0.4 kilometers) away at the residence of a relative of the shooting victims. That person was flown to a hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.

The missing boy, Devin Holston, lived at the second residence. Lawrence County Sheriff Jeffery Lawless told the Ironton Tribune that investigators haven’t determined whether the boy was at the home during the attack. He wasn’t found during a search of the area.

Lawless told the newspaper that all those involved were “related in some way.”

deputies spotted Lawson in a blue truck in Ironton, about 15 miles (24 kilometers) south of where the victims were found, the sheriff said. Deputies chased Lawson before he crashed his vehicle into a ditch and ran into the woods, the sheriff said.

None of the dead or injured has been identified. The sheriff’s office said releasing further information would compromise the investigation. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is assisting Lawrence County in the investigation.

The initial report about the slayings — violence against multiple people found at trailers belonging to related residents — recalled details from a still-unsolved homicide case that rattled rural southern Ohio last year. A spokeswoman for the Ohio attorney general’s office said Thursday that investigators have no indication of a connection between the cases.

The deaths on Wednesday occurred roughly 40 miles (64 kilometers) southeast of the Piketon area, where eight people from the Rhoden family were found shot to death in four homes in April 2016.

I read that the alert was called off because they found Devin but LE isn't saying if he was found alive or dead.

they mentioned same family I was thinking about when I read this but definitely not related still putting my money on the woman who called it in and affiliates there and this could be the same kinda twisted family plot

A heart-sinking moment came Thursday afternoon when investigators announced that 7-year-old Devin Holston was dead.

The boy is the youngest victim of a quadruple murder at a home along state Route 93 in Lawrence County.

Three adults were found shot to death Wednesday night and Devon was reported missing.

A missing endangered child alert was issued by the Ohio Attorney General's Office as investigators combed nearby woods, neighbor's homes and the homes of friends and relatives.

Lawrence County Sheriff Jeff Lawless said at a briefing Thursday that Devin's body was recovered Thursday morning at the original crime scene. He said it appears the body was hidden inside the home.

Warrants have been issued for Aaron Lawson, 23, on three counts of murder and one count of aggravated murder.

I doubt it has any ties to the woman. According to the link cubby posted it seems a male(I assume its the dad) came home from work and walked in on the crime scene. He was stabbed and managed to escape to a relatives house to call police.

The neighbors say that they've seen this guy around there a lot and that he sometimes babysat Devin and his brother. Makes me wonder about the brother since there's no word on another child being involved, although they haven't said if the 3 dead are adults.

Angry ex/bf/husband or was someone(or the entire) in this family involved with drugs?

Or both?
[doublepost=1507963098,1507962675][/doublepost]OR, and the fact the kid was hidden away someplace makes it all the more suspect, was family friend/babysitter here molesting the kid and family caught on or he feared they would?

Names have been given

An Ohio man accused of fatally shooting four people including an 8-year-old boy on Wednesday before fleeing was arrested on Friday, PEOPLE confirms.

Aaron Lawson, 23, was arrested after Lawrence County authorities received a tip from a citizen who spotted him walking down a local street, according to a news release from the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

[..]

Lawson was charged in the death of the four victims, the release states, though the charges are not specified.

[..]

On Friday, authorities confirmed the names of the victims as Donald McGuire, 50, Tammie L. McGuire, 43, Staci M. Jackson, 28, and 8-year-old Devin.

Authorities initially believed 8-year-old Devin Holston was missing after the three adults were found dead, but upon further inspection of the residence the following day, Devin’s body was discovered “hidden” in the home.

Additional charges may be brought against as the investigation continues, the release states.

From giantblues's link:
They said the child's body was put in a place where it was "hidden" and wasn't discovered until after the initial search.

[..]

Lawson is Tammie McGuire's cousin and had spent time in the home

[..]

Lawson is facing three counts of murder and one count of aggravated murder, Lawless said. He could face additional charges.

Its interesting that they slapped him with an aggravated murder charge for Devon. It's Ohio's version of first degree murder and requires that the murder was planned and committed on purpose. The aggravating factor of him being under 13 qualifies him for capital punishment. Were the other adults he was only charged with murder, which is the equivalent of 2nd degree murder. It happened but it might not have been planned.

That along with them saying there could be more charges after the autopsy's and that the boys body was hidden doesn't bode well.
