Branson, Missouri -   And preys on them, it appears.  Peter “Pete” Newman, 33, was a camp counselor and assistant director for ten years at Kanakuk Kamps in Branson, where they love Jesus, sports, the letter K, and your children.  Kounselor Pete really, really loves your children, especially if they’re boys between 11 and 15.  According to an email I received from Joe White, Kanakuk’s owner, Newman was terminated as soon as his proclivities were discovered, and the camp notified authorities and the “impacted families”, offering their assistance to the boys they were able to identify as victims of Newman’s little peter problem.

There is some question, however, of when Newman was actually fired.  Court documents say that Newman wrote an eight-page confession detailing his Kamp activities in June of this year, and was terminated upon receipt.  Joe White says that actually, Newman had not worked for Kanakuk since “sometime in the spring”.   Several of Newman’s victims are now in their late teens or early twenties, but doubtless some boys were, um, exposed to Newman as late as the 2008 camp season or even into 2009.

This case is a little personal for me, because I come from a “Kanakuk family”.  Most of the kids in my family have gone to Kanakuk several years running, and I’ve met Joe White and many of the camp staff (yeah, I’m the black imp of the family).   I have to say that Kanakuk has an excellent reputation for safety, and I know that criminal background checks are done on every potential employee.  Beyond that, White says, interviewers are trained specifically to spot behaviors and answers that could indicate a safety risk.   I never met Pete Newman, but he must have been pretty good at getting the answers right.

Newman apparently worked by grooming his campers.  He’d have them to his home for Bible studies and  sleepovers, where he would invite the boys to go skinny-dippin’ in his hot tub.  That’s when the molestation took place.  I’m trying to figure out how someone can pray with a kid and then get naked, but hey.  That’s why I’d make a bad camp counselor – I don’t really like naked kids.  Hell, I don’t really like dressed kids enough to have them over for a little hot-dogs-and-weiner action.

The probable cause statement says that Newman “engaged in being naked with [victims] while participating in various activities such as Bible studies in the hot tub, swimming nude in the lake, playing nude basketball at night, streaking in the nude at various locations in the Kamp, etc…” and that “fondling and other crimes” occurred repeatedly over a long period of time.

It’s not clear how many boys Newman molested over his decade of employment with Kanakuk.  Court documents show up to sixteen different victims, but specifically list nine.   The K-Kountry web page says that “every action-packed K-Kountry day hums with words of love and encouragement sung by a staff hand-picked for their Christ-like patience and sensitivity.“  Um, I don’t think running naked through Kamp and Bible study in the hot tub followed by a game of hide-the-salami is what Kanakuk had in mind, Pete.  Even more disturbing to me is that K-Kountry is a camp for children ages 7-11, so I think it’s quite probable that Pete groomed or molested boys even younger than those listed in court documents.

On Monday, the Taney County prosecuting attorney charged Newman with second-degree statutory sodomy, two counts of sexual misconduct with a child under 15, and enticement of a child under 15 years old.  He pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday, and is free on bond awaiting his next hearing in October.

Beggs, Oklahoma ” Walking like a man, hitting like a hammer  She’s a juvenile scam, never was a quitter.  Tasty like a raindrop, she’s got the look.” (”The Look” Roxette) I can’t figure out which one of these beauties actually thought this, but from a police statement, at least one of them thought “that it brought her back to her teenage years. And that she got ‘that look”. Hahaha! Those two sentences cracked me up. The look of what, exactly? Someone rode hard and put away not only wet, but mildewed? And it doesn’t speak very highly of the teenage years when even then, you may have had to bribe boys with booze and drugs to get laid. And although these two gals were out of school by a few years (at least), their choice of partners weren’t.

Mindy Carder (30) and Ashley Sprague (21) have been arrested after Beggs Police Department broke a small town sex ring. The secret was revealed when a father took his 14 year-old to the police station last week claiming his son had been having a sexual relationship with a 30 year-old woman in exchange for a little pot and a little booze. Police quickly discovered this wasn’t simply between this one woman and this one boy…there were more. At least one more woman (so far) and at least 9 other underage boys. Awww, but Mindy claimed she absolutely fell in love with one of the boys. Too bad. You’re busted.

Cops in Beggs are trying to keep the information flowing because at least one of the two women may have a sexually transmitted disease. Whatta fine way to celebrate your teens, screwing a skank, getting drunk and high, and contracting something that could make their little dicks drip for quite a while. Woot! While the police aren’t trying to scare anyone, they are encouraging all the young men to come forward and at the very least, get checked out. (guaranteed they’ve checked their junk several times since that news has spread around that little town)

Ah, but the investigation isn’t over. The police chief said, “There’s probably going to be more arrests. The more we learn, we’re gonna come get ‘em. We are going to come get them.” I have no doubt about that shit at all. This has been described, by the same chief as being one of the strangest cases that has unfolded in his 18 years of law enforcement. Well now, that kind of gives one the idea just how small of a town it is. This here is BIG NEWS.

Mindy Carder is being held on three counts of statutory rape and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor with a $76,000 bail. Her partner in crime, Ashley Sprague is facing one count of each and is being held on a $25,000 bail.

They both just have “that look” if you ask me. Hey boys, didn’t they have the “Just Say No” campaign come to your school? I bet they will now.

Lansdale, PA- I know you’re wondering why the picture of this sexy seductress is gracing our front page today, so let me just assure you right away that it’s not because we are now running ads for Rogaine. On May 1’st, 26- year old Katherine Dennery asked two 13-year old neighborhood boys to help her move out of her home. Dennery showed her appreciation for the boys’ help by serving plying them with Schnapps and Vodka.

Sometime later, she lured one of the boys (I’m guessing after he was heavily inebriated) down to her basement. It was there in this dungeon of doom where Dennery used more of her Michael Jackson skills and began to sexually assault the boy.

A curious guest in the house decided to sneak downstairs and see what was going on. The woman crawled down the steps on her stomach and when she seen Dennery and the boy on a sofa having sex, she whipped out her cell phone and began taking pictures. Dennery flipped out, grabbed the phone from the woman, and immediately began deleting the pictures. This did not stop the woman from calling the police and Dennery was arrested on charges of statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, corruption of minors and furnishing alcohol to minors. Dennery, who has no prior criminal history, admitted to the assault. Her bail was set at $25,000 and the police are working on retrieving the pictures from the cell phone.

Unicoi, TN–As a parent, it is your responsibility to protect your children from harm, not bring harm to them. Kimberly Potter fails as a responsible parent…she fails miserably. She knew her new boyfriend Michael Jones was a sex offender, but yet, she allowed him to move into her home; a home she shares with two young daughters, ages 11 and 16. Read on, it gets worse.

Kimberly met Michael through Myspace. Although it isn’t known exactly how long the two had been communicating, she felt comfortable enough with him to pack up her daughters last month and travel from her home in Tennessee to a motel in North Carolina to meet with Michael.

After her initial visit with Michael, she continued to talk and message him through Myspace until February 26. That day, Kimberly drove to North Carolina again…but this time, she left with more than motel soap…she left the state with Michael.

Now, at this point, I want to make it very clear that Kimberly knew Michael was a sex offender…he even had the GPS ankle bracelet to prove it. When the pair returned to Tennessee, Kimberly visited the Unicoi County Sherriff’s Department-she wanted to know if Michael could stay in the county with her. Child Abuse Advocate Carla Ragland told Kimberly that Michael could not be in the residence with her kids. Period. That would put him in violation of the terms of his release, and because it’s not a good idea!

Kimberly didn’t listen. She allowed Michael to remain in her home. The UCSD received information on Friday that Michael was at Kimberly’s home. Once the officers began investigating the case, they learned that Michael had tried to kiss Potter’s 11-year-old daughter. Officers paid a visit to Kimberly and her new house-guest. Michael was arrested.

On Saturday, Kimberly’s 11-year-old daughter was interviewed in the presence of her father. During that interview, it was discovered that Michael kissed the child around her chest area and he left bruises on her.

Kimberly’s 16-year-old daughter was interviewed. She told investigators that she and Michael had sex on two separate occasions. And guess what? Kimberly was allowing them all to sleep in the same bed. I feel ill…

Michael admitted to having sex with the 16-year-old but denied trying to kiss the 11-year-old. He said he bruised her chest because he was pinching her there.

Michael Jones, 26, is being charged with failure to register as a sex offender, aggravated sexual battery, and aggravated statutory rape. His bond has been set at $250,000. The North Carolina sex offender registry lists Michael as having been convicted of felonious restraint against a minor and indecent liberties with a minor. The age/s of his previous victim/s is not listed.

Kimberly Potter, 34, was arrested and charged with child neglect. Her bond was set at $100,000 and she has been ordered to have no contact with her children until a custody hearing can take place.

Danial and Linda Rinehart

Harrisonville, MO–The baby in the cooler was wrapped in a blue blanket…clothed in dark blue pants, a blue turtle neck, white socks, and a stocking cap. There was a stuffed teddy bear and a toy car alongside him in his makeshift coffin. Another cooler, sealed with silicone, held yet another tiny body, this one wrapped in a thin blanket. There is another cooler, buried somewhere in Oklahoma, that holds yet another dead baby. The babies were fathered by their own grandfather, Danial Rinehart.

The abuse began in 2003. Rinehart began raping his 13-year-old daughter. She gave birth to her first child on March 24, 2004; she was 15-year-old. The baby girl died on July 8, 2004. The teen, her sisters, and her mother placed the baby into a cooler, sealed the lid, and buried the child in Oklahoma.

The family moved to Harrisonville in 2005. The teen gave birth again on August 2, 2005. The baby was born in a pickup truck…Danial and Linda delivered that child, Linda cut the umbilical cord. That child is still alive.

Another baby was born on November 17, 2006…another boy. Danial and Linda again assisted in the delivery. According to a probable cause statement, the baby boy became ill and died of pneumonia on February 28, 2007. No one sought medical attention for the child. The teen dressed the child, left a teddy bear and a toy car in the cooler, and sealed the lid. The teen and Danial dug a hole in the garage floor and buried the baby.

And again, the teen gave birth to yet another child on April 8, 2008…this time in a camper on the family’s property. Danial told the teen that the baby was stillborn. She wrapped it up, put it in a cooler, and put it in the garage near it’s sibling.

In October, the family’s secrets began to emerge when one of the suspect’s daughters told police that her sister was being molested by their father and had birthed four of his children. She also told authorities where they could find two of the bodies.

Authorities arrived at the home with cadaver dogs on October 15, 2008. The dogs hit on a scent under a work bench, but a dig in that area revealed nothing. The teen later admitting to moving both of the bodies after her mother told her that investigators were headed to the property. Both babies were moved to a different garage. The property was sold and the Rinehart’s moved on.

On January 1, 2009, investigators received another call. The new owners of the property had found two coolers…a large blue one and a small maroon one. Both containers contained the remains of a child. On Wednesday, January 21, the Cass County sheriff’s office put out a news release asking for the public’s help finding Danial Rinehart.

A tip led authorities to rural Daviess County, about 100 miles north of Harrisonville. About 10 p.m. Wednesday, Daviess County deputies went to the mobile home where authorities now think Danial Rinehart, his daughter, and her 3-year-old son had holed up for at least two weeks. The trailer was surrounded. Danial Rinehart was arrested. The 3-year-old, the one child that lived, was taken into state custody.

On Friday, Danial Rinehart, 47, was arraigned on charges of second-degree murder, endangering the welfare of a child, statutory rape, two counts of incest and two counts of accessory abandonment of a corpse. Further charges are pending. (He is being charged with second-degree murder in the death of the third child, for failing to seek medical attention). Danial admitted to the sexual abuse and told authorities that his daughter had given birth to four children, ‘two of which he was sure were his.’ He is being held on $500,000 cash only bond.

Linda Rinehart, 47, faces one count of endangering the welfare of a child. I hope to gawd that there are more charges on the way. She knew her husband was raping her child. Her husband was shacked up with their daughter, not her. She assisted in the deliveries of her own goddamn grandchildren. She was fully aware of the dead children. For fucks sake! In a vomit inducing statement, Linda told authorities that she was ‘jealous of the close relationship Danial had with her daughter.’ When asked why she didn’t leave? ‘Because I’m not good enough for anyone else.’ And…the mother of four daughters stated ’she wanted a son so bad that even if her husband fathered the child with her daughter, she was willing to accept it. Oh. My. Gawd. She is already out on $10,000 bond.

Other family members claim to have no idea what was going on. They never knew about any babies. Danial kept the family on the move. None of the Rinehart’s four daughters ever attended school. The family lived in fear of Danial…they were told that if they ever opened their mouth, they’d be dead. As far as Linda is concerned, she was no longer living with Danial, she was more or less out on her own, and yet, she said nothing. Not a fuckin’ word. She wasn’t scared of him…bitch wasn’t even in denial. She just wanted a son. Fuck you both. Rot.

Claymont, DE–Mothers share many things with their teen daughters; Clothing, makeup, secrets, jewelry, the bathroom, boyfriends. What? You mean to tell me you never looked at your teen daughter’s boyfriend and thought, ‘Daaaamn. I gotta get me some of that!’ No? Me either. Juli Faunce did though.

Yes, 38-year-old Juli Faunce was banging her daughter’s 14-year-old boyfriend. On two separate occasions in November, the boy was an overnight guest in her home and she really made his visits memorable. In a strange, and slightly disturbing twist, when she found out that the young boy was also sexing up her daughter, she got jealous. A woman scorned, she called the cops and said the young boy had raped her daughter.

Authorities were called to Faunce’s apartment on Sunday to investigate a report that the teen boy had forced himself upon and raped Faunce’s teen daughter. Their investigation led them to the teen boys mother who said, ‘WTF? I just found out that my son was boning Faunce…not her daughter.’ Ok, maybe those weren’t her exact words, you get the idea. Seems that young guy was getting it from mommy and her daughter. Talk about having your cake and eating it too…..

Juli Faunce was arrested and locked up, charged with four counts of third-degree rape. Her bond was set at $40,000 and she was released later that day. She has been ordered to stay away from that 14-year-old and all teen-aged boys in general. Neither the teen boy nor the teen girl was charged with anything.

UPDATE – 1/1/09 – Jose Diaz has admitted molesting “at least five” boys, and additional victims have come forward.  Quel suprise.  The State Police investigator assigned to the case is still interviewing children, but says the number right now looks to be “between five and ten.”   The case has been remanded to a grand jury.

Rochester, NY - Jose M. Diaz, 40,  is a volunteer firefighter.  That’s him up above.  He likes his shiny red truck.  He also likes young boys.  Mr. Diaz was arrested on Wednesday due to allegations of repeated sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy in 2005.   The boy’s mother contacted police.  Mr. Firefighter Man was arraigned on eight counts of second-degree criminal sexual act, and bond was set at $100,000.

The thing of it is, since his arrest and arraignment, three other children have come forward with allegations of sexual abuse by Diaz.   Three children came forward in just five days.  It makes me wonder if we’ll be hearing lots more about Jose Diaz’ escapades in the near future.

While we wait to see who else wants to tell tales of Jose’s pedophilic ways, he’ll be cooling his heels in the Monroe County Jail, pending a preliminary court hearing at 11 a.m. Monday in Rochester City Court.   He’s been suspended from the fire department, as well.

Denton, TX–Former middle school teacher Lauren Cosgrove is tenacious. When she sees something she wants, she lets nothing stop her from getting it. Cosgrove, 30, had her eyes on the prize. The prize in this case…her soul-mate, a 13 year-old-boy. Arrest? Nah, that doesn’t stop her. Restraining order? Nothing but a useless piece of paper. She’s been arrested twice over the young lad, let’s hope the third time is a charm.

Back in 2007, Lauren was an English teacher at Strickland Middle School. It was in this English class that Lauren found her young soul-mate. The married mother of two admitted that the two grew close during the school year. They ’shared their problems with each other.’ Well, she shared more than problems with the 13-year-old boy.

During summer recess, Lauren decided she needed some summer employment. She chose babysitting. Her clients? The young boy and his siblings. How convenient for her!

According to court records, the boy’s siblings told their parents that they had seen the boy and the teacher go into her bedroom and shut the door numerous times. The sibling also stated that he had seen the two kissing and holding hands. When confronted, the boy admitted to police that he was involved in a sexual relationship with Cosgrove, they had planned to be together once he turned 18. The boy said ‘he was worried what the consequences for Lauren would be. He said Lauren had told him she was afraid she would lose her children if anyone found out about their relationship.’ In July of 2007, Cosgrove was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault. She posted $20,000 bail and was freed the same day she was arrested.

Cosgrove had been a teacher at the middle school since 2003. At the time, school officials cooperated fully with authorities and their investigation but stated that, ’since school is not in session, there is no immediate need to remove the teacher from the proximity of children.’ It is unknown at this time if she lost her teaching job due to the charges of sexual assault.

You would think that she would have left the young stuff alone but noooo, in October of the same year, Cosgrove was arrested again. She was accused of trying to arrange to talk to the boy using one of his friends to set up a three-way telephone call. She wanted to tell the boy ‘what to say to make things better for her in court.’ Just hours after her arrest, she was free on $5,000 bail on the charge of tampering with a witness. Since then, both of her cases have been pending.

Fast forward to Monday, December 1st…the young Romeo snuck out of his bedroom window and got into Cosgrove’s car and drove off into the sunset. They spent a few hours alone together. Could they have been planning their future together? Or was she trying again, to convince the young boy to lie in court, to minimize the damage? I’m going with the latter…later on that same day, Cosgrove sent a text message to the boy asking if his parents would drop the charges in exchange for a large sum of money. I guess not. Once mom and dad found the text on the boys phone, Cosgrove was arrested again. The charge, tampering with a witness.

Guess what? She has posted bail, again. Yes…shortly after her arrest, Cosgrove posted the $5,000 necessary to free herself. I do believe we may have another Mary Kay Letourneau on our hands.

Fairfield, IL - Catharine L. Miller, 33, wanted a wife and a baby, like many people do.  Thing is, Miller wanted the wife and the baby to be one person – a fourteen-year-old girl.  Yeah.   Miller, who is from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, approached the girl in an online chat room in September.  The relationship quickly progressed from chatting to texting to calling.

On Monday, Miller and the girl met in a hotel in Flora, Illinois.  Miller proposed marriage and gave the girl an engagement ring, a baby bottle, and a whole new set of sexual hangups.  Thanks, Catharine!  I guess it’s a good thing she’s studying to be a counselor, huh? 

Catharine Miller reportedly attends college in Cincinnati, Ohio, and is “studying counseling”, according to the criminal complaint.  Her name is also spelled “Catherine” in several news reports.

On Tuesday, November 11, Miller apparently sent the 14-year-old a text message to let the girl know that she had reserved a motel room in Flora, Illinois for the weekend.  Miller told the girl to be at a location in Cisne, Illinois on Friday to be picked up.   Miller then drove from Cincinnati to Cisne and picked up the girl.

The criminal complaint says that “Miller proposed marriage to the victim and presented her with a diamond ring. She also gave the victim a baby bottle because the victim would then be her baby.”

You know, there’s just no way that I can even make that look funny.  I tried.  And if the girl was of legal age, it might be kinky, but it would be perfectly legal.  I have no problem with people who love each other being together in whatever safe, sane, consensual manner works for them.

But holy CATS, y’all.  This girl wasn’t just a little bit underage – she’s fourteen.  And a 33 year old woman who has studied psychology is well aware of the mental and emotional manipulation involved in seducing a young girl.  To then add everything that baby bottle represents into the equation is wrong on more levels than I can fit into this article.

Then, of course, Miller had sex with the girl over the weekend.  Because nothing says “I love you and want to nurture you forever” like a ring, a baby bottle, and a little statutory rape.

On Sunday night, a relative of the girl got suspicious of Miller being in town and hanging out with a young teenager and called the police.  On Monday morning, Miller was arrested at the hotel, where she was found to be in possession of child pornography.  I’m gonna bet she took a few pictures over the weekend.

Catharine Miller is being held at the Wayne County Jail on a federal charge of “traveling in interstate commerce to engage in sexual conduct” – in other words, child porn.  Miller is also charged in Wayne County with aggravated criminal sexual abuse.  Her bond on the county charge is $250,000, but she is being held without bond on the federal charge.  Investigators say more charges may be forthcoming.  And I am just flabbergasted at the incredible stupidity of Catharine Miller.

Morganton, NC – Gary Adam Molesa, 64, is an upstanding citizen of Burke County, North Carolina.  He has been involved in numerous youth organizations.  His TV repair shop sits right behind his daughter Jaimie Pope’s dance and gymnastics studio.  He’s an all around great guy, even loaning out his camera for Halloween photos at Pope’s business.  Anyone wanna guess where this one’s going?

If you guessed “daughter turned on camera and found pictures of her father molesting a minor boy”, you win the Dreamin’ Demon prize package of the day.  (It’s a barf bag emblazoned with our logo.  And a shot glass, to drown your disgust.)

Some people, when faced with the pictures Jaimie Pope saw, would erase them.  Oh, they might confront dear ol’ dad, but the shame and embarrassment – not to mention the very thought of the publicity – might be enough to sway even people who believe themselves to be advocates for children.

Not Jaimie Pope.  She called police and turned in her father, showing officers the photos she found on his camera.  Then she contacted the parents at her dance studio and gym and asked them to talk to their own children, to make sure they’re all right. Pope described her reaction to finding the pictures as “shock”.  “I was shocked, just shocked, overwhelmed, disgusted, mad, sad, angry, she said.

Jaimie Pope and a friend were just getting ready to shoot some pictures of kids in Halloween costumes at her studio when they turned on the camera and found the photographs under Molesa’s favorites, said court documents.

Molesa took the fifteen year old boy to his (Molesa’s) house, where he then molested the boy and forced him to engage in sexual activity while snapping away on the camera.  Molesa then uploaded the shots onto his computer, because he’s a nice guy like that.

When asked why he’d committed such acts against a minor, Molesa mumbled, “My wife is dying.  I was lonely.  It just happened.”

You know, like his car just happened to go to his house, where he just happened to force himself on a young boy, and the camera just happened to click itself, and he just happened to upload the pics to his hard drive so he could just happen to enjoy them later.  Yeah, that’s lonely, all right.  Oh, and while I’m at it, way to send your wife to her eternal reward with a little dignity intact, assclown.

Gary Molesa was arrested Wednesday and bonded out – but by Friday, he was back in jail again on new charges after investigators found evidence that Molesa may have more victims.

Jaimie Pope says that given what she saw, she believes there are more victims out there, and she hopes that law enforcement can find them.  Of turning in her own father, she said, “I found some incriminating evidence and I had the choice of either turning him in or not turning him in, and for the sake of my kids and the sake of here at the gym I decided to turn him in, it’s really hard, but nothing justifies what he did.”

Jaimie Pope is my hero.

And Gary Molesa is sitting in the Burke County Jail in Morganton, charged with two counts of statutory rape and two counts of indecent liberties with a child while the State Bureau of Investigation processes evidence taken from his home.

Christopher French, Teacher’s Aide/Rapist

Winchester, MA – 28-year-old Christopher French was indicted Thursday on charges of child rape, child enticement, posing a child in a state of nudity, disseminating visual material of a child in a state of nudity, possession of child pornography and dissemination of matter harmful to minors.   The charges involve at least 6 minors.   

Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone said, “We allege that he engaged in a pattern of grooming these young, impressionable girls through a series of inappropriate online conversations on Web sites such as Facebook and Myspace. The defendant then took those conversations further by exchanging sexually explicit photos, enticing the underage girls to meet him for sexual relations, and, in one case, committing child rape against a 14-year-old girl.”

French has been around kids for awhile, too.  First as a substitute teacher, and then in his full time position as a special education teacher’s aide and soccer coach at The McCall Middle School in Winchester.   Ain’t it always the way?

On June 28th, Winchester police executed a search warrant and seized computer equipment.   Evaluation of the contents of the hard drive showed that he’d been “communicating inappropriately” with a number of girls during the years of his employment at the school, with both students and other girls he met online.  He liked to send naked pictures of himself to many of them, and requested — and sometimes received — naked pictures of the girls in return.   He kept everything on his computer, catalogued by the name of the victim, so there’s not a whole lot of grey area here.

On at least two occasions, he enticed girls to meet with him in person for sexual activity.

Ultimately, he raped one 14-year-old in her own home, and then threatened her into silence.   He also repeatedly invited a 13-year-old student in his school to come join him in his hot tub, and told her that “naughty things” happen in his hot tub.  Ick.   Smart girl that she was, she declined.   French continued to press her to meet him to “fool around,” and sent her a sexually explicit questionnaire.

This scumbucket was arrested on June 28th, and charged with one count of child enticement.  Bail was set at $5,000.00 and he was ordered to stay away from children under 16.  He posted bail and walked out the door, though he has been suspended without pay by the school since that arrest.

And here’s a really juicy tidbit by a local TV station’s investigative team:  Back in September, while out on bail, he was found working on school property painting lines on a school field.  French was unsupervised for part of the time and students can be seen walking nearby.   Worse still?  The man who hired him to do this job is a police officer in Winchester, and ought to know better.

I assume we’ll hear further information on bail for the new charges shortly.  But based on the number of victims who’ve been identified by his own computer files, it sounds as if Christopher French won’t be returning to the classroom any time soon.   And the teenagers of Winchester are just a wee bit safer tonight.

Harrington, DE – Meet Mack N. Smith. Mack was convicted on Jan. 7, 1997 of engaging in unlawful sexual intercourse with a victim under the age of 16 (the conviction record says she was between 12-15 years of age). He served some time, and is a registered sex offender designated as a “Moderate Risk” by the Delaware State Police Sex Offender Registry. He lives on Dormon Street, occasionally goes by the alias of Malcolm M. Smith, and is listed as unemployed. But being unemployed doesn’t mean he hasn’t been keeping busy. Oh, no it does not!

You see, on September 3, the police department was contacted by the Division of Family Services to investigate a reported rape of a 14-year-old girl at a home on Dorman Street. Investigators spoke to the girl, and learned that between July 23 and Aug. 15, 32-year-old Mack forced the victim into his home, held her against her will and raped her. Police say Smith threatened the victim with physical injury if she told anyone. It’s unclear from the information available whether she was held that entire time, or whether there were multiple attacks. I’m sure that will come out in time.

Whatever those details, police in Delaware deemed them sufficient to charge Mack with eight counts of first-degree rape, four counts of second-degree kidnapping, four counts of unlawful sexual contact, four counts of terroristic threatening and four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. That’s a boatload of charges, Demons, and they bring joy to my heart. But wait, there’s more!

Apparently, Mack didn’t really think more jail time fit with his plans, so following his arraignment, Mack broke free and ran out of the police department! Run, Mack, run! He tried to hide in a home on New Street, but police located him and brought him back.Why is that good? Well, for the privilege of a few fleeting moments of freedom, police added charges of second-degree escape, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, pedestrian crossing at any place except marked crosswalk and third-degree criminal trespass.

Giggle. Yes, they charged him with Jaywalking! Isn’t that awesome??

In any event, Mack N. Smith is now jailed with a bond of $193,502 (I love round numbers, too, DE!).

As an interesting aside, a poster in the comments section of a local news station (WBOC) claims to have been his neighbor, and says that his wife had no idea he was a sex offender. When she found out, and divorced him, HE was granted custody of their children (2 daughters and a son). I am seeking verification of this, and will update with anything I find.

Welcome to the Dreamin’ Demon, Mack N. Smith! May you remain in prison for the rest of your natural life, and never lay hands (or eyes) on another teenaged girl. Mwah!

Naval Recruiter Douglas Nathaniel Bowie

LaMarque, TX – It seems that Douglas Nathaniel Bowie, 31, misunderstood his job description.  You see, when he was told to recruit a few good men and women, he seemed to think it was for sex.   And since he apparently prefers sex with women — or girls — that’s where he placed his recruiting efforts. 

He’s been initially charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child, but more charges are likely, because Douglas had sex with two 12-year-old girls, and police are speaking to a 16-year-old about her relationship with Mr. Bowie, as well.   Oh, and she has a kid.   Oh, and the kid may very well be Douglas Nathaniel Bowie’s.  Police have taken DNA samples, and are awaiting the paternity results.

Bowie was arrested after one of the 12-year-old girls wrote a letter detailing a history of sexual assaults by Bowie that began when she was 6 years old.

Not surprisingly, this is not the first time Mr. Bowie has been in this kind of trouble.  As we know, pedophiles rarely do it “just once.”   No, sir.  Bowie was first investigated in 2005 when another girl told police that he had sexually abused her.   That girl eventually recanted her story, and the case was dropped, but police say they will take another look at that case in light of the current charges.

Douglas Nathaniel Bowie was arrested in his Naval Recruiting Office at The Mall of the Mainland September 3rd, and is being held on $240K bond.  His wife has had no comment.

Mercer County, PA – Well, she did apologize.  Ashley Irene Moore, 19, is a married mother of infant twins.  She’s also the erstwhile girlfriend of a fourteen-year-old boy.   Ashley “dated” the junior high school student for several months earlier this year, after her babies were born.  Her husband was stationed in Korea at the time. 

Apparently, Ashley Moore and the jailbait broke up and Ashley felt the need to confess to her husband, Pfc. Tucker Moore.  She emailed him in Korea to tell him what she’d done, and over several emails, she told him she was sorry for cheating on him with a kid barely into puberty.

Problem was, Pfc. Moore was unamused with his wife’s fickle adultery, and appropriately concerned with the age of the boy she was banging.  He forwarded her emails to Grove City police, who spent a few months investigating (in this case, investigating means “made a couple of phone calls and dropped by the house”).

After talking with the young male recipient of Ashley Moore’s advances, they talked to Ashley, who freely admitted having had a sexual relationship with a kid who still watches Nickelodeon after school.

Police arrested Ashley Moore in August and charged her with statutory rape, corruption of a minor, indecent assault, and sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 16.  Given that she had twin babies at home and a spouse in the military, authorities were nice and let Ashley out of jail on her own recognizance – at which point Ashley’s husband, Pfc. Moore, became incensed that his wife was being prosecuted.

I’m not really sure what Tucker Moore thought was gonna happen, here.   He was out serving his country, his wife was screwing a fourteen year old boy, he told the cops, and the cops arrested his wife.  What about that sequence of events doesn’t make sense?

Pfc. Moore then told police that he didn’t really mean to get his wife into trouble.  After all, he said, “people make mistakes”.  And sometimes, Tucker, my man, those mistakes are felonies.

As our member Castille put it, “I  wonder if there’s a Hallmark card for that: ‘Now that we’ve reconciled, I’m sorry I called police to report you as a sex offender’“.

Ashley Moore is awaiting trial on her charges and, if convicted, could face five years in prison and have to register as a sex offender.

Aiken, SC – Stephanie Gail Kirkland, 20, enjoys the music of Ashley Tisdale and Usher, hanging out with friends, her kitten, Chipper, and having sex with a thirteen-year-old girl.  Stephanie turned herself in to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for her arrest on charges that she sexually assaulted the girl multiple times last year.

The Sheriff’s Office says that Stephanie engaged in lewd sexual contact with the thirteen-year old between May and December of 2007, and that the assaults occurred in multiple locations.  Deputies didn’t say why the charges are just now being filed. Details are being withheld, although I have no doubt that some of our readers would pay big bank to see Stephanie reenact the encounters with another girl of legal age.

Stephanie is a tiny little thing – 4′11″ and just about 100 pounds.  She looks younger than her stated age.  So what’s happened here, really?  Is Stephanie a predator who likes the young stuff?  Or is there something else going on here behind the scenes?  After all, she did turn herself in to deputies.  And as of this evening, she’s out of jail on an order of release from the judge in her case.  And while charges aren’t generally filed without some evidence, Stephanie looks pretty innocent – on the surface.

Then again, it’s unusual for a young woman to molest a child, but not unheard of.  And a thirteen year old cannot give consent in South Carolina.  Surely Stephanie knew the girl’s age.  If she were a guy, no matter how cute or innocent-looking, we’d be hanging him by his balls.  So what do you think?  Did she do it, or not?

Stephanie Gail Kirkland is charged with three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of lewd acts on a minor.  Since she’s out of jail now, maybe she’ll come explain to us what really happened.  Maybe she did it.  Or maybe the young pussy Stephanie likes is just a kitten named Chipper.

Update 9/30/2008 - Barbara is not returning phone calls yet, but Assistant Solicitor Steve Kodman stated that multiple inconsistencies in the victim’s statements was a factor in their decision to drop the charges.

“There are times where law enforcement has enough probable cause to make an arrest, but we have to be able prove it beyond a reasonable doubt to take it to court,” Kodman said.

Officials will not be charging the 13-year-old with any crime as they have stated nothing leads them to suspect the alleged victim lied about what happened. So, there you go.
