Arlington, Washington - On Monday Keira Earhart,38, pulled into his driveway to witness someone running from his house. He went inside to find his wife’s jewelry missing and called 911. Police arrived but after a search, were unable to find the burglar. A second 911 call was made a few hours later, Earhart telling police that the burglar was back in the area and that he had ran into a field near his house. Police arrived a second time, finding Earhart in the field, but once again they were not able to find the burglar. On Wednesday morning a neighbor called police saying he had found the body of a man in a creek near Monday’s burglary. The body was of a 25-year-old who had been shot to death. After a little investigating, police learn neighbors heard shots on Monday, before the second 911 call was placed. One reported Earhart told them he had taken “warning shots” at the burglar. Earhart was booked into jail facing second-degree murder charges. The dead man did have the stolen property in his possession.  Not sure if the Castle Doctrine applies in Washington, but even if it did I am pretty sure it doesn’t cover shooting a fleeing burglar in a field near your house three hours after the crime was committed. SORRENTO, Florida - After having lawn-mowing equipment stolen before, Shane Biel installed an alarm on the locked trailer he uses to house machinery for his lawncare business. But around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning, the alarm went off from someone breaking in for another go. The homeowner went outside, armed with a firearm and confronted 23-year-old Brett Lee Canada who had used a pair of bolt-cutters on the lock Biel had installed. Biel says Canada lunged at him so fearing for his life, he opened fire, killing him. Police say Canada has a history of this type of crime. No charges are expected to be filed against the homeowner. Detectives believe the man’s story and under the Castle Doctrine, a Florida resident can defend themselves and their family in their home with deadly force. WINTER GARDEN, Florida – One lucky family, I think. 48-year-old Rubens Morais and 27-year-old Marcela Borges were home with their 5-year-old son on SundaySunday reviews when four masked intruders took them hostage. They were all tied up and blindfolded and taken to Apopka. The next day, Borges was forced to withdraw $23,600 from the bank. They were then taken back to their home. Sometime Tuesday, Borges removed her bindings as well as the mask of one of her young, female captors. Not liking that, she reportedly stated “She saw my face and knows who I am. You have to kill her!” Borges, not liking that, jumped from a second-story window. As she ran to a neighbor’s house, one of the captors opened fire on her, hitting her in the side. All four captors then fled the scene. Victor Manuel Sanchez, 20, and Miguel Diaz-Santiz, 25, and Oscar Diaz-Hernandez, 19 have been arrested. The female suspect is still at large. [Read more...]

FERRUM, Virginia – 23-year-old Jessica Goode was out in the woods collecting frogs for a science project with two other Ferrum College students when 100 yards away 31-year-old hunter, Jason Cloutier, took aim with his high-powered rifle and fired — mistaking Goode for a deer. The bullet struck Goode in the chest, passed through her and through the hand of 20-year-old Regis J. Boudinot. Goode turned to Boudinot and stated “I’m going to die” and then collapsed. Cloutier immediately tried to help Goode, but it was too late. Although this is a tragic accident, Cloutier was not supposed to be hunting on the property. He now faces charges of manslaughter, reckless handling of a firearm and trespassing. He is currently out on bail. A Remembering Jess Goode Facebook page has been created if you want to stop by. OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma police say the suspect in the deaths of four people has turned himself in. 28-year-old David Allen Tyner surrendered to the Mayes County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday and now faces six murder charges. He is a suspect in the deaths of Jennifer Lynn Ermey, Casey M. Barrientos and Millie Barrera and 22-year-old Brooke Phillips – one of the prostitutes featured on the HBO reality series “CathouseCathouse reviews.” On November 9, their bodies were found in a burning home where Phillips and Barrera had been shot to death – Phillips was shot six times. Both women were pregnant (hence the six murder charges.) A motive is not known at this point, but Tyner supposedly knew one of the victims. There may be more arrests to come as police do not feel Tyner acted alone. Radar Magazine has a lot of articles about this case and it looks like Phillips hung out with a pretty rough crowd. Highland Park, MI - Information is still trickling in on this one, but here’s what we have so far. It is being reported that at around 2:15 Monday afternoon, witnesses watched Jamarr Pinkney Sr. march his naked 15-year-old son, Jamarr Pinkney Jr., out of a home and to an empty field. Once at the field, Pinkney Sr. allegedly ordered his child to “get on the ground” – the boy could be heard saying, “No daddy, no.” Pinkney Sr. grabbed the boy’s head and fired one round. WitnessesWitnesses reviews say Pinkney Sr. then calmly walked to his vehicle and drove off. The teen died from his injuries later that afternoon – authorities took Pinkney Sr. into custody a few hours after the execution. The boy’s aunt, Yolanda Cherry, states that father and son had been arguing in her home earlier that day. “He beat my nephew real bad in the head where he had knots like he had been in a boxing ring,” she said. San Francisco, California – In what has come to a shock to everyone, gunfire erupted at a hip hop concert. Nine people where shot outside of San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom Sunday night after leaving the sold out “HouseHouse reviews of SoulSoul reviews” concert put on by the hop and R&B radio station KMEL. Two groups got into a fist fight that escalated to one or more individuals breaking out the firearms and wounding nine people in the crowd. All are expected to live, but the shooter has not been apprehended or identified. I doubt police are getting much help from witnesses as I am sure no one saw anything. Interesting promo poster, though. Prophetic, even. Ya know, I liked concerts better when they simply ended with Christians handing out pamphlets. SUMTER COUNTY, Florida – Denise Textor, 59, was charged with attempted first degree murder after shooting her husband twice in the chest with a .38-revolver while he was taking a shower. Dennis was able to escape the home through the bathroom window and call 911 from a neighbor’s home. He was airlifted to the hospital where he was in stable condition on FridayFriday reviews night. Married for 17 years, the couple had retired to Florida from New Jersey where Dennis was an assistant chief law enforcement officer and Denise was a detective. While police where trying to get her to come out of the house, a possible motive for the shooting was revealed. KISSIMMEE, Florida – September 19th was a long day of drinking and arguing between Phillip Lee Rogers, 63, and his wife Tammy Rogers. At some point, Rogers looked at his wife and asked “Why don’t you just kill yourself?” Tammy then asked for Phillip’s gun. She placed the gun to her head, pulled the trigger but nothing happened. The gun was not loaded. She then told Phillip to put load the gun, which he did by placing one round in the chamber and handing her the gun back. Tammy then placed the gun in her mouth and pulled the trigger. Tammy was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center where she survived her injuries, although she is now unable to care for herself. WEST PHILADELPHIA – Scarce info at this point, but the news is reporting that two teens got into an argument on a school bus that ended when a 15-year-old pulled out a gun and shot at the 17-year-old, grazing his ear. The injuries were not life-threatening, but the victim shit his pants was taken to the hospital where he was reported to be in stable condition. The suspect then shoved the gun in the bus driver’s face before getting off and fleeing the scene. He was arrested a couple blocks away still carrying the .25-caliber handgun. The school bus was on its way to the CEP Miller Disciplinary School, where both the shooter and the victim are students. No word on if the bus had cameras installed. Belen, New Mexico – The story of any son getting so angry at their father that he would shoot them in the back of the head is tragic enough but this story is compounded by the fact that Benjamin Hilburn was only 10 when he pulled the trigger. Benjamin would state in the 911 call that he was angry at his father, 42-year-old Bryon Hilburn. He would expand on that later, telling investigators he felt his father was too harsh with him and punished him too much. In August police say Benjamin shot his dad in the back of the head with a shotgun while his 6-year-old sister was in the room. Benjamin, now 11 years old, is in the custody of his mother and has been charged with first-degree murder. It is quite possible he is the youngest person to be charged with murder in New Mexico, a state that does not charge anyone under 14 as adults. NEW ROCHELLE, New York – 29-year-old James Pileggi, an Eastchester police officer for two years, was off-duty the other day sitting in the passenger seat of an SUV with two other men. He was showing how the laser feature on his 9mm Glock service weapon worked when he accidentally showed 27-year-old Andrew Everett how deadly the weapon is by shooting him in the throat. Everett, who was standing outside of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Pileggi has been charged with second-degree manslaughter. FLEMING ISLAND, Florida - When Dana Whitelaw, 47, got out of the shower Tuesday morning, she found her entire family dead. Her husband, Jerry Whitelaw, 49, had shot their two children — 16-year-old son, Kevin, and 11-year-old daughter, Katy — while they slept. He then turned the gun on himself. Court records show that Dana had filed for divorce in late AugustAugust reviews after 16 years of marriage, but continued to live together during the process. Police have no records of ever having to go to their residence in the past. Kevin was a junior at St. Johns Country Day in Orange Par, Katie attended Grace Episcopal. I think what makes this particular murder-suicide is the blatant purpose behind it. Jerry wanted Dana to live after this, knowing it was the best possible way to hurt her. Kill her kids, then let her live with that fact. Absolutely horrifying in its cold-blooded callousness. I can not possibly imagine anything my wife could do to me that could have me killing my own kids to get back at her. Claremore, OK – With friends like Preston Dohrer, you might want to think about a life insurance policy. Or, hey, how about a whole new class of friends? As is evident in Preston’s Myspace pictures, he likes to party. And set shit on fire. And, as is evident with his dead friend, Michael Duke, Preston also likes to play with guns. Emergency personnel were called to Preston’s residence at about 1:45 SaturdaySaturday reviews morning. Seems the boys had been drinking that night and horsin’ around a bit.
