Novato, CA – I don’t even know where to start with this dipshit.  I don’t think I have seen this much stupidity and blatant disregard for all that is resonable in well…ever.  Edward Schaefer, 43, driving his Harley drunk,  with 6 DUI convictions under his belt already, ran down and killed 9 year old Melodie Osheroff as she was crossing a crosswalk with her father.  Oh, but no folks, the douchebaggery does not end there.  Schaefer is an assclown to the extreme.  When answering to the charges in court, Schaefer flipped off the prosecution and cameras.  What a tool.

Schaefer was speeding and ran a stop sign before he plowed down Melodie and her father, Aaron Osheroff.  As Melodie lay still and struggling for breath and Aaron lay with one broken leg and the other partially severed, Schaefer flailed and screamed “Oh, it hurts so bad!  I need medication!”  Pussy.   Melodie died the next morning at a children’’s hospital and Aaron was airlifted with critical injuries to another hospital, where one of his legs was amputated.  He is currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Schaefer’s blood alcohol level was 0.16 at the time of the accident, so evidently his 6 prior DUI convictions did not teach him a lesson.  And judging by his actions in the courtroom that day, killing a little girl and permanently altering the life of her father didn’t teach him anything either. Schaefer is being charged with murder, DUI, mayhem and vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and with gross negligence.  Time to put this bastard where he will never have the chance to drink or drive again.  UNDER the jail sounds good to me.

Do people honestly feel that this man should not be charged with a murder charge? I know we have this argument here from time to time in regards to DUI related fatalities leading to the drunk driver being charged with 1st or 2nd degree murder, and I feel that both sides of the argument hold weight. But Jesus, SIX DAMN TIMES?

Daniel Robbins Begins A New Chapter

Here is a winner for you. Daniel Robbins, 22, got into a road rage accident in 2005. He chased after a car he said had cut him off. His passenger was 16-year-old Jessica Rogers, his brother’s girlfriend. During the chase, Robbins managed to hit a pole, leaving Rogers partially paralyzed. As a result of his actions, Robbins received a whopping 180 days in jail, but was released early under the stipulation that he be placed on probation with certain conditions attached. Two of conditions being that he not drink or do anything illegal, but Robbins decided to smoke marijuana and drive illegally and on Friday, Robbins got so plastered at a party that police had to be called to escort him home because someone at the residence didn’t want him there any longer. 

As he stood in court to answer to these actions, Assistant Mercer County Prosecutor James Scott told Superior Court Judge Charles Delehey that Robbins “continues to show that he doesn’t (respect) the privilege that probation offers him…He continues to flaunt the law. I am asking that you sentence him to the maximum sentence of 18 months in prison.”

Judge Charles Delehey, being a kickass judge, agreed with him stating Robbins “seems to be a person who is indifferent to society’s rules. We know that prison is not a place for rehab. But … you failed to observe the terms of probation. The court can’t ignore what transpired here. The court extended an opportunity and that opportunity was wasted.” and then proceeded to give him the max. 18 months in prison.

And you know, before anyone says they think that this sentence is a bit harsh for someone who just broke probation…and has now received more time for that than had they just finished out the original sentence. Boo fuckin’ hoo, you coddling shit. To show just how deserving Robbins is of this new sentence, he stated in court that he is “emotionally disturbed, I can’t handle my own life. I don’t have a car. I destroyed my father’s last name. I feel terrible about this whole thing and I hurt every day. I’ve been taunted, assaulted.  It’s not an excuse. People point their fingers at me. It’s hard for me to be a strong person. I’m very weak. I admit that.”

He then explained how he has remained unemployed because he slipped on ice and hurt his ankle. He said this while Jessica sat in court with her father. Sat in a motorized wheel chair I should add. Jessica’s father Scott Rogers, who I like, stated “I imagine it is hard to be him. Think about how hard it is to be Jessica. He doesn’t have an idea as to what hurt is. All I hear from him is ‘I, I, I.’ He hurt his ankle. Jessica can’t walk. I’m glad he got the maximum sentence.” Me too, Scott. Although had things been done my way, he would had been in prison already from the original charge.

But Jerome Ballarotto, Robbins lawyer, wants everyone to realize that everyone has Robbins all wrong. He wasn’t sending a big ‘fuck you’ message to the courts when he violated his probation stating, “It’s not like he’s thumbing his nose at the system. It’s not a total failure. It’s a partial failure.” Laugh Out Fucking Loud. Partial failure.

Know what type of people I hate more than pedophiles? Whiners. The “Woe is me” person that spends to much time bemoaning the state of their lives. Everytime I hear someone go in to just how terrible their life is, I just want to shove a pacifier in their mouths, slap them across the face and tell them to shut the fuck up. You got kids lying around with flies in their eyes, men living in tents in the woods beside I-277, people making due without sight, sound or even their arms and legs…and I’m supposed to give a shit that your husband didn’t like your goddamn pot roast? That you may not be able to pay your cable bill this month? You cant find a job, but wont apply to Wal-mart? Cry me a river so I can laugh at how funny your face looks when it scrunches up like that.

Aaron Saunders and James Brogden

Highway Patrol were chasing a front-end loader Saturday morning, a front-end loader that had been stolen from Cherokee County Speedway. The person who stole the vehicle was Aaron Christopher Saunders, 28. Police tried stopping him by shooting out the tires, but Aaron was having none of it. Police say he intentionally tried to run over officers, even running over one of the patrol cars. Aaron drove the front-loader to 973 Pleasant School Road, tearing down trees and signs on the way there. Aaron began destroying a car at that residence when a man house-sitting for his son-in-law, James Ellie Brogden, 67, came out to investigate, Aaron killed him with the front-loader.

Deputies then shot Aaron, where he later died after being airlifted to the hospital. At first, his rampage remained a mystery, but now more details have come out as to why Aaron did what he did. He was drunk. And angry.

Seems as if he had a little tiff with his girlfriend, April Holcomb, because *gasp* he was drunk. He then went to a bar and sent her a text message stating that he was gonna be on the front page. But she didn’t take that seriously because, well shit, he did that all the time when he got drunk. In fact, she said, “He was drunk. He’s one of those people that doesn’t need to be drinking because he’ll black and out not know what’s going on.”

Two different reports state two different ways in which Brogden was killed. One states that Aaron beelined towards him when he came out to investigate and ran over him. Another states that Aaron dropped a car on top of him. But April doesn’t think it was on purpose. Oh, no…not Aaron. “He’s not a monster like they made him out to be,” she said. “I don’t think he intentionally did it. I think he didn’t see the guy because if you’re in a big old loader you cannot see because it’s dark outside and you got the car picked up”

But it really doesn’t matter if it was intentional or not, as either way this drunk asshole took out a man who has done nothing but try to improve the community around him. Brogden was a major in the Salvation Army where he had served for 40 years. He also worked at a rehabilitation center in Charlotte, NC.

“Cecil Brogden was one of the finest men I’ve probably ever met…He is a man of integrity — a great Christian man, a man of faith, a man of the Word. One of the finest preachers the Salvation Army has ever had.” Major Dalton Cunningham stated.

And what does he get for his efforts? Well, for some of you, he is playing ping-pong with God about right now. But to me? He met his end at the bottom of the treads of a goddamn front-end loader, leaving behind a wife and three children. Just doesn’t seem right, does it? All that “mysterious ways” crap I guess.

No real reason for me posting this, as there will be no trial or anything like that. It just always burns me when good people get taken out in completely stupid ways by equally stupid people. In Brogden’s wildest dreams, I cannot imagine that he ever thought his death would be in the form of a 10-ton front-end loader driven by a drunk, at 3 in the morning, in front of his son-in-law’s house. Tragic. So for all you praying people, tell God I said thanks for taking another good one, and for blessing some police officers with good aim.

Colorado Springs, CO - Tammy Williams. 24, had been driving for the Harrison School District since February. Last Thursday, she was taking kids home following a route she had been driving for around 3 weeks. The route includes a street with a set of dips in them. Tammy slowed down for the first set, but did not do so for the second. Watch the video above and imagine a school bus going over them at a moderate speed. Now imagine kids in the bus, unbuckled of course, and you can get an idea of what happened next. Aside from some of the kids being thrown from their seats, one of them fell out of the back of the bus.

Tammy has since been fired and has now been ticketed with reckless driving resulting in injury.In total, four children were hurt, one of them seriously. By news reports, the serious injury was not the kid who fell out. Seems as if he was standing at the back of the bus holding on to the exit latch when Tammy drove over the dip. He only suffered scrapes and bruises. The most seriously injured was 9-year old Maliah, who suffered a lacerated liver after being thrown in the air and coming to rest on the back of a seat.

A video has been recovered from inside the bus, and will be used as evidence. I’ll get it posted here as soon as it becomes available. One of the injured boys stated that the students were cheering Tammy on as she sped over the dips. So, aside from Tammy’s recklessness in probably just trying to show the kids some fun in a stupid way, why was a kid standing against the back of the emergency exit in the first place, and ultimately, why the fuck aren’t school buses equipped with seatbelts?

Franklin, TN – Crystal Snow, 22, has been a time bomb parent waiting for casualties for quite some time.  Just months ago, in April, she was cited for a vehicle accident in which her then-five children were not properly restrained or in car seats.  In August, Snow stabbed her ex-boyfriend in front of her children.   And now, her four year old son, Beqwatrus Miller, has died in yet another collision – because he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

The Division of Children’s Services has yet to remove any of Crystal Snow’s children, saying they are “working with her on questionable parenting issues”.   Oh, well, as long as they’re working on it.

Crystal Snow has a penchant for giving her kids nigh-unto-unpronounceable names: Deciandra, 6; Beqwatrus, 4; Lavontasha, 3; and the one year old twins, Jajayveon and Kajayveon.  But given that she started having these babies at the ripe old age of 16, I guess it’s no surprise she wasn’t finished adding extra letters and dotting her i’s with little hearts.

But she seemed to be doing all right, even with her near-constant state of pregnancy, until late 2007.  Between December of 2007 and August 20, 2008, Franklin police were called to Snow’s house 17 times.  SEVENTEEN.  That’s a lot of domestic disputes and welfare check-ups, folks.

On April 30, Snow was driving a Plymouth Voyager with her five kids in it when she got into an accident.  None of the kids were properly restrained – Deciandra, then 5,  was in the front seat without a booster. The twins were in booster seats, but were sliding out of them because infants don’t belong in booster seats.  And Lavontasha and Beqwatrus were in the back of the van, unrestrained.  The details on that accident are largely unavailable except that it was an “injury accident”.  Crystal Snow lost her license, but kept her kids.  It was the second time in a month she’d been ticketed for improper child restraint.

In August, Crystal got into a fight with a former boyfriend – not, apparently, an unusual occurrence.  She pulled a knife and stabbed him in full view of several of her children.  She was charged with aggravated assault, bonded out, and… kept her kids.

Family, friends and neighbors were having fits, calling the Department of Children’s Services, asking for help.  DCS hasn’t released how many hotline calls were made, but neighbors say they called multiple times asking for something to be done.

DCS says that improper child restraint isn’t necessarily neglect – that they “take things on a case by case basis”.  When asked about whether aggravated assault in front of the kids constituted endangerment or abuse, a spokesman said that the agency had been “working with” Crystal Snow on her “questionable parenting”.  Which, I guess, makes it okay that she apparently still had no decent carseats and can’t drive to save her life – or her child’s.

On Saturday, Snow was behind the wheel of a 1992 Buick LeSabre  when she ran a stop sign and slammed into a tractor-trailer – or, rather, she slid under it.  None of the children was restrained.  Beqwatrus, 4, was killed, along with Snow’s current boyfriend Deadrick Harrison, 24.

Snow and her surviving four children were taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.  They are now listed as “stable” and charges are likely to be forthcoming for Crystal when she gets out of the hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the semi and his wife are okay.

But get this – DCS still says they “have not made a decision” about what to do with Snow’s remaining children if and when they recover.  Um, say what?

Alexander Martinez

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, Calif. - Joni Kelley was driving on a suspended drivers license when, for reasons not known, she left the road she was driving on, went down a driveway and into a wall of an empty home a few houses away from where they lived.. She is in critical condition. Her 5-year-old grandson, Alexander Martinez, who was in the car at the time, was pronounced dead. Oh, get this… the boy was in her lap.

The absolute stupidity displayed in this incident is one of those that always has me a bit conflicted. Sure, in all likelihood, this was an accident and Joni had no intentions of murdering her grandson that day. I do have some sympathy for her in that if she lives, she will have to live with the fact that she is solely responsible for this little boy’s death and will pay for it in a myriad of different ways both legally and emotionally. But goddammit, just how stupid is this? Do any of you actually still do this? Let small children ride unrestrained? Or in your lap? In 2008?

“He should have never been in her lap,” said Norma Martinez, Alexander’s other grandmother. “If he’d been in the back seat where he belonged this probably never would have happened. As far as I am concerned, she killed him.”

The child was not restrained of course as he was in her lap, and Joni herself had elected to not wear a seat belt. To top things off, the airbags deployed when the 1996 Camry hit the wall. Get the mental image of what happened to that kid at time of impact? Also explains why Kelly is in critical condition as I would assume that absorbing the impact from hitting a wall with the upper body of a 5-year-old boy cannot be healthy. It’s why they have airbag deployment systems in new vehicles and not a mechanism that launches small children at your face  whenever you collide into something.

Police are taking a blood sample, but have stated they do not think drugs or alcohol was involved. They are still unaware of why Kelley pressed the gas (though I am guessing having a 5-year-old in her lap may have had something to do with it), nor do they know how fast she was traveling at time of impact, but reports say that the car hit the wall of the house hard enough that it rolled backwards back into the street. Kelley lives with her grandson’s parents, who also have a 2-year-old.
