Timothy and Victor became friends some time after Victor moved to Vegas from California six years ago. Victor had few friends because he felt that he scared most people. But not Timothy Chester. He and Timothy formed a friendship that included spending a lot of time playing online games – and according to Victor, listening to Timothy talk about how much he hated his parents and wanted to kill them. According to Timothy, a pact was made in which Victor would kill Timothy’s parents and then Timothy would return the favor and kill Victor’s. This all came together following an argument Timothy had with his family earlier this week regarding responsibility. The plan was for Timothy’s entire family to be killed, including his sister and brother-in-law. Of course nothing ever goes exactly as planned, but from what I can gather from the source links, this is what happened on Wednesday.

About 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Thomas Chester took his son to a nearby high school to get his transcripts and then dropped him off at Victor’s house. At noon, Timothy and Victor walked back to Timothy’s parent’s mobile home. During this walk, Timothy handed Victor a gun that was taken from his father’s safe. When they got there, Timothy’s mother was asleep on the couch in the living room and his father was in the kitchen. Timothy and Victor went into Timothy’s bedroom after briefly speaking with Timothy’s father.

Victor states that once in the bedroom he tried giving the gun back to Timothy and told him to put it back in the safe. Timothy then handed the gun back to Victor and told him if he didn’t do it, he would shoot him instead. The two left the bedroom and Victor shot Tom as he stood next to the front door. After being shot, Tom then tried to run into the master bedroom, but his own son got to the room ahead of him and prevented him from entering.

Timothy then retrieved a semi-automatic pistol from a bedroom closet and loaded it. When he left the bedroom, he saw his father lying on the floor behind the couch. Carla, who was physically disabled, stood up and began screaming. Timothy, being the greasy fucking pussy he is, ran out of the trailer taking the keys to his parent’s SUV leaving Victor behind in the trailer.

Victor allegedly shot Carla at some point during this time and then used a kitchen knife to stab her in the throat. He stated that he heard a horn blowing outside, and after washing up in the kitchen sink he walked outside and Timothy, along with the SUV, were gone – I guess ending the plan they had to flee to California and then Guatemala. Victor walked home and informed his mother of what he had done and asked her to call police for him. he denied that there was any pact as Timothy stated during his talk with police, but did add that the rest of Timothy’s family should be worried as Timothy wanted them dead as well. He added that Timothy was smarter than he looked.

Neighbors said that the couple were well liked and “pillars of the community” and that “they were the first to help, to organize events…always there at the ready.” “She was a character,” neighbor Garrianne Sage said of Carla Chester. “She didn’t deserve it. She didn’t deserve it at all.” They also commented that Timothy was a quiet guy who kept his head down when he walked the neighborhood, but that he did help out other neighbors and was great with his nephews. Victor’s mother has declined to talk to any news agencies at this point.

Both teens were booked into the Clark County Detention Center on two counts each of murder with a deadly weapon, and conspiracy to commit murder. They also face one count each of burglary for their involvement in the double slaying. Timothy Chester was charged with an additional count of robbery with a deadly weapon. Alexander Cordell And Shani Fecht

When Cordell’s mother arrived at the gate of his apartment complex, she greeted her son and said, “Hey. How’s it going?” Cordell said he told her to hang on while he went to his Jeep to grab the apartment gate access card. Cordell grabbed his rifle from his Jeep and returned to his mother’s vehicle. He smirked at her, said, “That was a lie,”and then opened fire. Cordell shot into his mother’s vehicle nine times while it rolled backwards into the roadway. He emptied the entire weapon into his mother’s vehicle until he was positive she was dead. I can’t even imagine what her last thoughts were. Why? That’s all I keep hearing in my head.

Eight hours later, a SWAT team surrounded Cordell’s vehicle parked at a nearby shopping center. Cordell was sitting in his Jeep along with the rifle and a receipt showing he had purchased the weapon five days prior.  Alexander “Zeke” Cordell was arrested without incident and charged with the murder of his mother with no bail. Cordell asked the officer who transported him “Can I ask you a question, am I going away for a long time? If I do go away for a long time I would like it to be in a hospital.” Recently, Cordell admitted to the police that he had killed his mother and even described himself as a “psychotic killer”. He said murdering her gave him and “adrenaline rush” and he laughed and chuckled about the incident. Sadistic bastard. The police are not saying much about the motive, but friends believe Cordell was upset about moving to Florida. His mother’s second husband, Mike Fecht, got a job in Miami and he was there looking for a house the day Shani was killed.

Shani Fecht was a well-known and well-liked graduate of Ringgold High School. Mike Fecht said in a statement that his wife had the most radiant smile and magnetic personality of anyone he’s ever met. “Her laughter could fill a room of any size, and when she loved you, you knew it. She loved me and her son and daughter with every part of her being.” On her MySpace and Facebook profiles, Shani wrote, “I have an 18-year-old son who’s probably the coolest kid/young man I’ve ever known, I’m very proud of Zeke and look forward to seeing him grow as a man.” She also wrote, “I lost my mother to a violent crime when I was 21 years old, so I try to enjoy life and appreciate each precious moment.” Her mother had been murdered by her father twenty years ago. Shani would have turned 41 on June 11′th this year. R.I.P. Shani Fecht.

Ava Gordon

Around 8 a.m. on Memorial Day, police were called to the home of 62-year old Greg Gordon. His 42-year old daughter had just moved back into his home 7 months prior and, even though some of the neighbors said they had seen the daughter behaving erratically in the past, they had not noticed any prior conflicts between the woman and her father. When police arrived they found Greg Gordon suffering from multiple stab wounds to his stomach. There was also evidence that a shotgun had been fired into the ceiling of the home, but Gordon had not been shot. He was transported to an area hospital, where he later died.

After a search of the property, Gordon’s daughter was found hiding beneath some brush in the woods behind the home. She told the officers that her father had gotten into a heated argument with her over some left-over food. Actually, it was a dinner roll in the fridge that he had placed a note on which specifically told his daughter that he was saving it for later. When the greedy glutton admitted she ate the prized roll, her father became cross with her and attacked. After she was taken to the hospital for injuries she suffered from the attack, she was taken to jail where she remains in custody awaiting a decision on charges.

John Shoultz III, Andrea Howard, and John Shoultz II

Arguments between father and son would sometimes end with stab wounds, gunfire, or with family pets murdered. A friend of the family said they knew something was going to happen when they seen John Shoultz III outside last week with 2 guns and a knife. The younger Shoultz said he was going to get rid of his father. “The dad was unstable, the kid was unstable…well, anything could happen,” said one neighbor. “I’m not surprised, and I don’t think anybody in the neighborhood would be surprised because they didn’t get along.” Neighbors also said they had not seen the mother at the house for some time and she was definitely not around during the night of the shooting.

Police are still investigating, but they believe that John Shoultz III loaded a 10 millimeter handgun with 40 caliber bullets and shot his father with his 19-year old girlfriend Andrea Howard’s assistance. While John Shoultz III sits in jail without bond, his father’s lifeless body now rests in a morgue awaiting an autopsy. Andrea Howard is being held on a $10,005 bond. Looks like the neighbors will be finally enjoying a peaceful Mother’s Day weekend this year and I would not be surprised if it turns out to be one helluva celebration.

Logan Suter

Dunn, NC – Sunday night  Logan Suter, 17, was having another rough night with his stepdad, Edward Christopher Lancaster.   An argument broke out.  Nobody’s sure what happened next, but by the time it was over,  the 33-year-old Lancaster was dead of a gunshot wound to the stomach and Logan Suter was being charged with second-degree murder.  Cut and dried, right?  Well… maybe.

Nothing about this case is as easy at it looks at first glance.  Not even Logan’s actual name.  It’s been reported as Matthew Logan Suter and as Logan Matthew Suter.  In various references to him on the internet, he’s called Logan by his friends.  His Facebook lists him as Logan Matthew Suter.  I’m just calling him Logan.

Edward Christopher Lancaster, called Chris, has a very interesting history of his own.  He and Logan’s mother married after the 2002 murder of Lancaster’s wife, Renee.  Renee Lancaster, 27, was shot eight times in 2002 and left  dead on the side of a road.  Chris Lancaster was not charged with his wife’s murder – two other people, Kenneth Byrd and Roswitha Morrison, were convicted and are now in prison doing about ten years each for the crime.  In their trials, Byrd and Morrison pled self-defense.  Chris Lancaster was left with two children to raise.

Enter Logan Suter’s mom, Lori Suter.  She also had two children, and the blended family seemed to do all right.  But Logan and Chris didn’t get along.  My sources say that Logan complained of verbal abuse and physical fights between him and his 6′1″, burly stepdad.  One friend posted a comment at  WRAL.com saying that Chris Lancaster had allegedly pulled a knife on Logan.  Another commenter there noted that Lancaster had allegedly brandished a taser at his daughter’s birthday party and threatened children with it.   My sources say that Lancaster could be abusive – but there’s no court record of abuse.

So I don’t know exactly what happened.  Was there motive?  Probably, but whether the motive was revenge or self-defense or just “I hate my stepdad”, I don’t know.  Right now, there are more questions than answers. Chris Lancaster died Sunday night, shortly after the ambulance got him to the hospital.  Logan Suter was arrested and charged as an adult with second-degree murder.  He is being held at the Harnett County Detention Center on $150,000 bond.

The following Friday, October 17, Michael Maltese and an unidentified relative (probably one of his sisters) went to report their parents missing. Mike Maltese owned and operated his own tractor-trailer rig and drove often, and he hadn’t shown up for at least one run.

When Michael Maltese talked to the police, he told conflicting stories about when and where he had last seen his parents. Initially, Maltese said that he’d last seen them on October 10 – but within a day, that story was busted when the trip to New York showed up on credit cards. On October 18, Michael Maltese was charged with swearing a false report and released without bail, because Jersey has some smart cops. They knew that if they let him out and waited, something would break.

It didn’t take long.

Even early on, neighbors saw Nikki Taylor drinking outside the Maltese home. And one neighbor overheard a confrontation in the yard when two of Michael’s sisters told him that they knew he knew something, and he’d better start talking. While Michael’s sisters were in tears and sobbing, Michael was “walking around with a smile on his face”, neighbors noted. The tension was getting thick in there.

On October 23, Michael Maltese posted a comment on his own Myspace page asking for information on his missing parents. Pretty ballsy given that he knew where they were, I think. And also too little, too late, since they’d been reported missing for almost a week (and dead for over two weeks) by that time. No blog entry. No nothing, except a missing persons flyer in Myspace comment form. Nice.

On Friday, October 24, the South Brunswick police had Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor go in to the station to for more questioning. It didn’t take long – and although police haven’t released who said what, my bet is that Nikki rolled under the pressure.

According to the arrest affidavits, Michael Maltese killed his parents early on the morning of October 8 and then buried them in Beech Woods Park. And while Nikki didn’t physically murder anyone, she knew what was going on and assisted Michael after the fact. Both Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor were arrested and charged with multiple counts, including murder and credit card theft, on Friday.

On Saturday, the bodies of Jack and Kathleen Maltese were found by homicide investigators. The bodies were buried in shallow graves in a wooded area of the park. Autopsy results and a cause of death are expected early this week.

Michael Maltese and Nicole Taylor are being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Maltese is charged with murder, swearing a false statement, and theft, and is held on $2 million bail. Taylor is charged with theft and conspiracy to commit murder. Her bond is set at $1 million.

Hope that was one hell of a harvest festival.

RIP Michael J. and Kathleen Maltese. Sorry your son is a murdering asshole.

Warren, Rhode Island - James Soares, 60, and his wife Marian Soares, 53, had been missing since July 9. On Saturday, they were found – dead. They’d been bludgeoned to death with a grub hoe and dumped in the cesspool at their home. Now their son, James Soares Jr., 24, is being charged with murder. Way to treat the parents like shit, James. Literally.

The Soares home is a rural ranch style on Baltimore Avenue in Warren. Neighbors say that there were always six or seven people living in the home and lots of cars out front. The Soares were social, and liked to throw barbecues at their home on weekends. But James and Marian Soares had a few skeletons banging around in their closets, too.

Back in 1986, when James Jr. was just a toddler, the Soares home was raided. Inside, police found cocaine, marijuana, multiple prescription tranquilizers, drug paraphernalia, a .357 Magnum and $1,350 in cash which was seized as drug money. James Soares pleaded no contest to felony charges, was convicted, and ended up with a three year suspended sentence followed by five years’ probation. Ancient history, right? Except that in 2002, the house was raided again, this time for weapons.

This time, police found twelve long rifles, three handguns and some 30,000 rounds of ammunition. Which is not so good for a guy who’s a convicted felon and not legally allowed to have firearms. So James Sr. got a year on home confinement and another five years probation.

Marian, for her part, left over 27 types of medication. Neighbors said she had cancer and various other ailments, and that she hadn’t been healthy for awhile. One source called her a prescription drug addict, another a sweet, long-suffering woman who lived with a lot of pain. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle, but drugs have been a part of the Soares family for most of James Jr’s life.

In June of this year, Marian got mad at her son and his girlfriend and filed a restraining order against the girlfriend. She said that James Jr. and the young woman were stealing from her. And James Jr., called “Jimmy”, is known in the neighborhood for his hot temper. He’s been arrested a number of times for vandalism and disorderly conduct. In 2004, police found James Jr. angry, pacing, and holding a weapon. At that time, police found three tire irons and a baseball bat in his car.

Police believe James Soares Jr. bludgeoned his parents to death with the sledgehammer end of a grub hoe on Wednesday, July 9. On July 13, the couple missed a family party – unheard of for them. On July 14, Marian Soares’ sister called police to report the couple missing, and right away James Jr. was under suspicion. His stories didn’t add up. He had a rocky history with his parents, and as their only son, he was the prime suspect. James Jr.’s attitude seemed off, too – instead of searching for his parents, he lived in the family home and hung out like nothing was happening while his parents were missing. That was kind of weird.

On Thursday, July 24, police brought in a cadaver dog, who hit on the carpet in the home and right over the septic tank in the backyard. James Soares Jr. was arrested on Friday. On Saturday, police went into the home’s backyard, lifted the cover off the septic tank, and started looking. James Soares Sr. and Marian Soares had been dead for about 17 days, rotting in the cesspool, their skulls caved in by a gardening tool.

Yesterday, James Soares Jr. was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of his parents. During a brief court appearance yesterday afternoon, Soares was ordered held without bond at the Adult Correctional Institution in Cranston. This morning, he will appear in Providence District Court for a formal arraignment. It’s the first murder in Warren, Rhode Island, in over thirty years.

Kind of a shitty place to leave your dead parents, huh?

Tampa, FL – Something put James Kenneth McElroy in a really bad mood on Tuesday night.  A neighbor walking his dog saw McElroy in the driveway of his parents’ Carrollwood home around 9:00 in the evening, just looking up and down the street.  The neighbor thought it was a little odd at the time, but the McElroys were fairly recent neighbors.  The neighbor noticed the lawn needed mowing.   By Wednesday morning, James Kenneth McElroy’s family had been stabbed, and his father was dead, his mother and sister critically wounded.

James Kenneth McElroy, 21, lived with his parents, James and Karen McElroy, and his two sisters, 18 year old twins Michelle and Melissa.  James Kenneth, who also went by “James C”, had a rocky relationship with his father – rocky enough that the elder McElroy was arrested in 2006 for domestic violence.  Those charges were dropped when Karen McElroy told police her son had attacked his father, and the senior McElroy had only hit James in self-defense.  James McElroy Senior’s mugshot looks like he did take a few hits, but James Kenneth was beaten so badly that he had to be hospitalized.

None of the McElroys have  other criminal records, except James Kenneth, who’s been arrested four times for various weed-related, weapon-carrying, running from the cops hijinks.  He lived on his own – “at large”, as one arrest record put it – for months at a time, although he had recently moved back in with his family. Interestingly, James Kenneth’s arrests had picked up after he moved back in – he was arrested in May of this year and again in June.  As recently as Saturday, officers were dispatched to the McElroy home for a dispute, but no report was filed and nobody was arrested.

On Tuesday night, something happened.  Nobody really knows what yet. Only Melissa McElroy (Myspace) made it out of the house unharmed.  At 4:16 a.m., she called 911 from a neighbor’s house to report that her brother was killing her family.  James McElroy, 50, died at the scene.   Karen McElroy, 54, was stabbed and critically wounded, as was Michelle McElroy, 18.  Both Karen and Michelle McElroy remain in critical condition at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa.

On Wednesday morning, deputies spotted James Kenneth McElroy’s 1989 Jaguar in the parking lot of an apartment complex and arrested him.  This time, he didn’t run.  James Kenneth McElroy was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail on Orient Road, where he is being held without bond on multiple charges, including first degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, and weed possession.

Wittman, AZ - On Monday night, Virgil M. Togstad III, 26, called 911 to report that he’d shot his parents and brother in their Arizona home. When police arrived and took him into custody, Togstad looked around, let officers cuff him, and said, “Maybe I shouldn’t have wasted my family.” Well, isn’t that the kind of decision that could have been made prior to the shooting, there, Virgil?

Monday night at about 7:30, Virgil Togstad III called 911 to report the shooting.  He told dispatch that his name was Virgil and that he had shot his parents and his brother.  When asked why he’d shot the victims, Virgil said that he did it “because they are not his family.”  Except that they were.

When officers arrived, they found the bodies of Virgil Togstad Jr. and Luisa Togstad, Virgil’s parents.  They also found Virgil’s brother, whose name has not been released.  One body was in the house, one was outside on the lawn, and one was “near a doorway.” Togstad swore he hadn’t been drinking or using drugs, but as it turned out, he was pretty wasted himself.  Officers kinda knew he was lying at the scene, what with the alcohol smell everywhere.

According to the brother’s girlfriend, who was at the home, the Togstads were in the yard shooting a BB gun at a target Monday evening.  Togstad Jr., the dad, asked Virgil if he wanted to shoot it.  Virgil said no.  Then Virgil took a handgun from his waistband and shot a round at the target with that instead.

When Virgil’s dad got mad and began to lecture Virgil about using the hanfgun, Virgil turned the handgun on his dad and shot him five times.  When his mom, Luisa Togstad, started screaming, Virgil shot her too.  Then the witness saw Togstad’s brother, her boyfriend, lying on the ground.

Virgil responded by telling passersby to back off, which they did given that he was waving a gun and obviously knew how to use it.  He then called 911.

Thing is, Virgil’s parents knew he was a right nutball years ago and even sent him out of state for treatment. Last year, he held a knife to his mother’s neck after a money dispute, but was judged competent to stand trial.  His parents went so far as to write letters to the judge asking for leniency in sentencing, and Virgil got three years probation instead of prison.  He moved back into their home, where he had always lived.  That’s some blind parental devotion, don’t you think?

Virgil M. Togstad III is being charged with three counts of first-degree murder.  He is being held at the Fourth Avenue Jail in Phoenix.

While Mary Beth was in the hospital, police monitored her phone calls.  Betty Connolly’s autopsy showed that Betty Connolly had died of head and neck trauma consistent with being violently pushed down the flight of stairs, and Mary Beth’s telephone conversations did not sound like her mother’s fall had been an accident at all. When Mary Beth Connolly was released from the hospital on Friday, she was arrested.

Connolly’s brother Daniel says the whole thing was a tragic accident, and his sister is innocent. I bet he wasn’t the person she was calling on that hospital telephone. Connolly appeared in court today and was arraigned on charges of first-degree, second-degree and felony murder, and elder abuse.  She is being held without bond in the Wayne County Jail pending a March 27 preliminary hearing.

Lawrenceville, GA  –   Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr., 17,  was arrested Friday and charged with killing his mother and two sisters.  Late Thursday night, police found the bodies of  Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Deputy Joy Deleston, 39, and her two daughters, Micaiah, 11, and Jelani, 4.  Thirty-five minutes later, Terrell arrived at the home and was arrested after talking with police at the scene.   This case has been in our forums for a couple of days, and I was waiting for a motive so I could post it here with suitably imflammatory comments.   But the case has suddenly been pushed into the spotlight because it turns out that four year old Jelani Gray was the product of a relationship between Deleston and rapper Terius Gray, better known as “Juvenile”. 

The issue I have with cases like this is that now it’s all about Juvenile.  And how it is that a multi-million-selling recording artist has an affair with a part-time actress and sheriff’s deputy.   Juvenile’s gonna get more press out of this than anything he’s done in the past four years, including the birth and paternity issues around his daughter.    And while I feel horrible for the murder of little Jelani, I also feel horrible for her mother, and for eleven year old Micaiah.

Delaston and her children lived in a nice area near Lawrenceville, where gunfire isn’t the norm.  Neighbors reported shots fired on Thursday night, and police arrived to find Micaiah lying inside the doorway, Joy Delaston inside the living room, and Jelani upstairs in her bed, all of them shot to death with an undisclosed weapon.  Police wouldn’t comment on whether Joy Delaston’s service weapon was used or whether a weapon was recovered.  Police further stated that they were unaware of a motive in the slayings.  Joy Delaston had been with Gwinnett County for seven years and was assigned to the Sex Offender Unit, getting child molesters off the streets. 

Terrell is being held without bond in neighboring DeKalb County to avoid any potential conflict because Deleston worked for Gwinnett County. Because of his age, prosecutors cannot seek the death penalty against Terrell. A preliminary hearing will be set next week.

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — When 18-year-old Christoper Ott woke up on Thursday morning, he found his mother and father dead. Barbara and Michael, both 57, had died an extremely violent and bloody death. Michael was found in the bathroom with numerous stab wounds and a floor covered in blood and Barbara was found in the bedroom laying across the bed and had also had multiple stab wounds. Missing was their other son, 24-year-old Mark Ott.

But not for long. He was found driving the family vehicle around 4 p.m. and brought in for questioning. He has had run-ins with police before, and it is being reported that he had recently took himself off of…wait for it…you already know, don’t you? You got it…his bi-polar medication. His parents were well known in the town, as Barbara had been township deputy treasurer for the past 10 years and Michael was an electrician who did a lot of work for the township offices.

2/24/08 UPDATE –  Police found a notebook in Mark Ott’s bedroom with notes on how to kill people, how to clean up blood, and how to get away with jewelry, credit cards, and the like.  Because killing someone means you have to get rid of all the evidence EXCEPT your notes.

When Ott was found, he was sitting in his parents’ Kia  in Detroit.  In the car were televisions and guns from the home, and Mark had written “get car, get jewelry, cut up CCs” on his hand in ink.  Seriously, y’all, if this doesn’t qualify for diminished capacity, well, I don’t know what does.   Ott was in court on Saturday to be arraigned on murder charges in the deaths of his parents, and when asked if he understood his rights and wanted an attorney he said “Yeah, I think so.”

Ott’s uncle, Gary Knight, told press that Mark and his parents had fought sometimes, but nothing violent.  He said that Mark’s parents had tried to get their son help, but that he “never liked  medications”.  “They loved him to death”, Knight said.  Yes, they did.
