HOUSTON, Texas - I’ve been wonderin’ were my necrophiliacs been hidin’! But just when I thought they had vanished, James Patton is here representin’ the Necro Ghoul Crew. Ahem. 39-year-old James Patton’s creepy activities were discovered after police got a warrant to seize his computer stemming from harassment charges involving an ex-girlfriend. But investigators found a bit more than they bargained for when they retrieved pictures from Patton’s computer showing Patton placing his member on the foot of a nude female corpse. They also found an image of a female corpse with the legs spread open. “I can tell you that the defendant’s male sexual organ was seen in various poses with those of dead bodies,” said Donna Hawkins with the Harris County DA’s Office. Insert all kinds of SHUDDER here.

The photos were determined to have been taken in 2004, and Patton admitted to police that he last messed with a corpse a year ago when he was employed as funeral director at the Earthman Funeral Home. He was arrested over the weekend on a misdemeanor charge of abuse of a corpse and released after posting a $1,500 bond. A spokesperson for the company that owns Earthman Funeral Home released a statement trying to convince everyone that no, really, we are not creepy and we do not fondle your dead loved ones.

“These allegations are deeply disturbing. They are contrary to everything the entire funeral profession stands for. The vast majority of people in the funeral industry are people with the utmost integrity. They are caring, compassionate professionals who daily help families through extremely difficult times.”

Seriously, though. I never quite got people who fuck around with corpses. I’m not talking about some hot chick who may have just died of alcohol poisoning, I mean, what guy hasn’t found themselves in that situation, right? But a funeral home corpse? Ugh.

Not too creepy looking, huh ladies? I mean, aside from his nose trying to exit stage right.

Quincy, Massachusetts – “City of Legends”and “Birthplace of the American Dream” are just a couple examples of nicknames for this historic community in the Southeastern part of the state. The city is divided up into many different established neighborhoods with individual histories and characteristics. Scrolling through the names and descriptions of these sections, one clearly gets a great sense of pride and community spirit. No where could I find the area that might house the uber rich or the extremely impoverished. I’m pretty sure they’re not closely mixed though. Where do the really twisted fuckers live in Quincy and what do they do to get their jollies off in such a stodgy town? The closest I could come to answering that question was the story of Joseph Beatty and his little experiment with necrophilia.

Oh yeah. I was excited to come across this sick fuck. We’ve got a little bit of everything encompassed here:  domestic violence, strangulation, blood, a knife, attempted suicide, and a body devoid of life that had been screwed.  Joseph Beatty is a plethora of unbelievable news.

Neighbors of his victim, 33 year-old Mary Beaton, state loud arguments were not an uncommon sound emitting from her apartment as it seemed as though she and Joseph must have had a lot to say to each other and subconsciously wanted witnesses. The arguments were loud and sounded violent. And per witness accounts, the neighbor’s fears were realized when Mary Beaton was found dead in her apartment.

Police received a call from Boston Medical Center where Joseph’s sister was sitting at his side as he was recovering from a suicide attempt. Police found and searched his vehicle and they recovered a bloody knife he is believed to have used to harm himself. He also allegedly told the tale of strangling his girlfriend in her apartment, laying her on the bed, removing all of her clothes and screwing her. Nice. Touching. He’s all remorseful now though. And despite his touch of mental issues, he’s really a nice guy and would do anything for anyone. Yes, they’re already saying it. But he’s a thoughtful psycho…after he was all finished, he removed two crucifixes and placed one on each side of her head.

Although the authorities are awaiting autopsy results, Joseph Beatty is being held in conjunction with her death. But he’s so nice. How sad.

Johnson City, Tennessee–There are very few details being released on this case, but, I promise you, the few details that are known are nauseating. First, I was like, ‘huh?’ Then I was like, ‘whaaaa?’ And then, all I could say was, ‘Ewwww! That’s nasty!’ This is the story of Codey Wayne Miller and his accomplice, Christopher Johnson. Miller, 17, is being accused of strangling his mother, 36-year-old Sherry Cooper, and sexually assaulting the corpse.

Detectives believe Miller strangled his mother last Thursday, raped her dead body, threw her in a trash can, and placed her in the backyard. Cooper’s body had been in the trash can for two days before it was discovered.

Codey Wayne Miller is being charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and abuse of a corpse. He is being held at the Upper East Tennessee Juvenile Detention Center pending a June 5 status hearing. The District Attorney plans to petition to have Miller tried as an adult in the case. If convicted as an adult, Miller faces life in prison. If the case remains in juvenile court, Miller could only be held until he is 19 years old. That’s a comforting thought….

Police have also arrested 36-year-old Christopher Johnson in the case. It is believed that he watched Miller murder Cooper and failed to intervene or contact authorities. Court documents state that Johnson retrieved the trash can and instructed the teen to put Cooper’s body in it. One, or both of them, then placed the trash can outside. For his role, Johnson is facing charges of felony murder and abuse of a corpse. His bond has been set at $150,000. If convicted, he could spend life behind bars.

I’m hoping that more details will be released after the autopsy, which is scheduled for Tuesday.

Jose Perea & Helen Hancock

Just this last Saturday, a woman’s body was found in bushes near a rural boat landing by a woman walking her dog. The woman was identified as 40-year old Helen Hancock and it is believed she was a prostitute. Not too many details are out on this one, but the following is what I have learned so far.

Helen Hancock went to 28-year old Jose Perea’s mobile home on April 10, 2009. Sometime during her visit, Perea strangled Hancock. After he murdered her, he left his home and picked up his two roommates from work. After returning home, Perea showed them Hancock’s body. Perea told them he was high, fell asleep and woke to discover Hancock dead. Fearing for their lives, the two roommates left the mobile home that night. The following morning, after sleeping all night with his trophy, Perea dumped the body.

Perea’s roommates did not keep quiet. They told their pastor on Sunday, who notified the police. Authorities were able to capture Perea on a bus in Texas on Monday. The bus was heading for Mexico. Perea is currently held at the Cameron County Jail where he will be extradited back to South Carolina.

Ruth Ann Trueblood & Robert Conde

Fort Lauderdale, FL- One thing I learned, after being married for going on 15 years, is that you don’t mess with a man’s beer. If my hubby wants a cold one when he gets home, especially after working a 16-hour shift, it’s there for him in the fridge. He’s been disappointed a few times when I forgot to pick some up, but he never thought about killing me because of it. At least, I hope not. This is the reason why Robert Conde is gracing our front page today. A lot of crazy people kill for the most ignorant reasons and murdering someone over beer is one of them.

Robert Conde and his girlfriend, Ruth Ann Trueblood, were homeless. Last Wednesday morning, officers responded to the 600 block of SW 1st Ave. after receiving information that a woman had passed out. When officials arrived at the scene, they found the lifeless body of Ruth Ann Trueblood.

Lurking nearby was Robert Conde. When police questioned Conde’s relationship with the victim, he said he didn’t know her. Officers noticed blood on Conde’s hands and interrogated him further. Finally, Conde admitted he lied and told the officers, “OK, all right. I did it. I killed her.”

Conde said he and Trueblood had been together outdoors when she told him he couldn’t have any more beer. Conde got pissed and began hitting Trueblood. He said she was on her back defenseless as he punched her several times in the face until he knew she was dead.

Not wanting to look a gift horse in the mouth, the sick fuck then removed Trueblood’s pants and tried to have sex with her corpse. *Ewww… blech… shiver*  After being unable to perform his ghastly deed, the nasty necrophiliac then covered her up and lay next to her body. This psycho shithead definitely needs to be kept behind bars for the rest of his life.

Robert Conde, 41, was arrested and charged with one count of first-degree murder. He is being held in Broward County’s jail without bond. He also has a history of more than two dozen arrests in Broward. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a very important beer-run to make.

Update 9/8/2008 – Kenneth Douglas has pleaded no contest and has been found guilty of abuse of a corpse. He will undergo a psychological evaluation and then face sentencing on Sept. 30. He is only looking at a max of 18 months in prison.

Kenneth Douglas, David Steffen, Karen Range

CINCINNATI – Back in August of 1982, 19-year-old Karen Range answered her door and was greeted by a door-to-door salesman named David Joseph Steffen. Steffen severely beat the teen and slashed her throat with a paring knife in such a manner that the girl was almost decapitated. He was convicted of aggravated murder, rape and aggravated burglary in 1983, and sentenced to death. While he admitted to the killing, he has always maintained his innocence in regards to the rape. DNA tests later showed that he was not lying and he was not a match for the fluids found inside her body. Now, 20+ years later, a person has been charged with the sexual assault. Turns out it was morgue assistant, Kenneth Douglas, who worked at the Hamilton County morgue where Range’s body was taken to.

Douglas worked at the morgue from 1976 to 1992, but quit by just not showing up to work one day and giving no notice. In March of this year, Douglas, now 55 years old, was arrested for drug trafficking and as required by Ohio law, ordered to provide a DNA sample. That DNA sample matched the 1982 semen sample gathered from Range.

In the time that Douglas worked as a morgue attendant, 29 cases have been found where rape kit evidence is available to be tested. Investigators believe, after interviewing Douglas, that more offenses were committed.

“Our initial indication is it’s less than five but we don’t know,” Hamilton County prosecutor Joe Deters said.

While they are not revealing all the specifics of the conversations with Douglas, it is being reported that when Range’s body had been at the lab for testing, Douglas removed Range’s unwashed body from a refrigeration unit, where it had been stored for 4 hours, and sexually assaulted it. Now it is being revealed that Douglas has also worked for some funeral homes. Prosecutors are now checking with these past employers.

Douglas has pled guilty to the charge of gross abuse of a corpse and is being held on a $700,000 bond. Gross abuse of a corpse is a low-level felony and carries a maximum sentence of 12 months.

“This is just one sick dude,” Assistant Prosecutor Mark Piepmeier said after Douglas’ arraignment.

Nick Grunke, Alex Grunke, Dustin Radke

Wisconsin - Two years ago, when the site was a bit different, we posted an article about the three young men who attempted to dig up a corpse so one of them could have sex with it. They were busted before being able to get the body out of the grave and arrested. Since this happened in Wisconsin, the appeals court upheld dismissal of charges against the three claiming there was no law against necrophilia. But things have changed as the state Supreme Court is now stating that Wisconsin law makes sex acts with the dead illegal.

State law bans sexual intercourse with anyone who does not give consent “whether the victim is dead or alive at the time………A reasonably well-informed person would understand the statute to prohibit sexual intercourse with a dead person”.

Third-degree sexual assault charges have now been re-instated against the three and they are now facing up to 10 years in prison. Read on for the gruesome details.

Back in 2006, Nicholas Grunke, 22, saw the obituary of 20-year-old Laura Tennessen . She had died a week prior in a motorcycle accident. Nicholas then enlisted the help of his twin brother, Alex and their friend 22-year-old Dustin Radke, to help in a plan that involved them digging up the corpse of Laura Tennessen so that Nicholas could have sex with her in a predetermined spot behind Grunke’s house.

So, on the night of 9/2/06, the three headed out to St. Charles Cemetery equipped with digging tools and a tarp. Along the way, they stopped at a Wal-Mart in Dodgeville where they bought condoms. At some point during their activities in the cemetery, a Village of Cassville Police Officer was dispatched to the area to investigate a report of an unoccupied, suspicious vehicle. When the officer arrived, he observed Alex Grunke walking toward the vehicle, dressed in black. He was also extremely nervous and sweating profusely. After some questioning, Alex he confessed that there were two people in the cemetery digging up a corpse. When officers investigated, they found Laura Tennessen’s grave had been tampered with, the top of the vault that held the coffin being visible. Nick and Dustin were nowhere to be found, but were arrested the following morning walking down the road 8 miles from the cemetery.

So, have fun in court Alex, Nick and Dustin. I hope this case drags on and on for you three creepy motherfuckers and I am more than happy to keep your three ugly faces right smack in the limelight. Just a shame that Laura’s family will have to deal with this on top of losing her. Fuck the three of you.

MONESSEN, Pa. — Funeral director Johnny Draper left the Draper Funeral Home to talk to some friends across the street. After about 10 minutes, he noticed a light on in the basement and decided to go investigate. Draper found the body of a deceased woman, who had been previously prepped for a viewing, with one her legs up in the air, her stockings had been removed and the plastic covering her body had been torn open. He also found Roderick Jones lying next to the coffin trying to hide. Draper restrained the man until police arrived. Jones has a history of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief as well as being convicted of abuse of a corpse in 1999. [Link]

A judge set bail at $400,000 with conditions that included Merino surrendering his passport and submitting to a psychological evaluation. If convicted,he faces a maximum of 10 years in prison. Kevin Wade Daily

CITRUS SPRINGS - Citrus Springs detectives foiled a plot that consisted of Kevin Wade Daley, 50, killing a man and using the corpse for his sexual activities. Authorities were notified when a man Daley met online came forward, a man Daley had been trying to recruit into his plot to murder a man from Homosassa who was doing construction work in his neighborhood. “He actually came up with his name and his place of business, and actually called the man’s place of business on the prospect of saying what a good job he had done on the work he did in the neighborhood,” said Gail Tierney, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. Police recorded Daley’s phone conversations as he was talking about his plans. They also seized his home computer as evidence. Daley is in jail with no bond, charged with criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder. Us good-looking guys already have enough issues dealing with all the gawkers and women throwing themselves into our beds, now we got to worry about homosexual necrophiliacs killing us? PURCELL, Oklahoma - We posted an article about this, back in 2006, but it was before we changed the site over. But Kevin Ray Underwood was charged with killing 10-year-old Jamie Rose Bolin. He lured the-girl into his apartment, killed her and sexually assaulted and mutilated her body. He was caught a couple days later when investigators found her body in a plastic container in his bedroom closet. The goal was cannibalism. Anyway, he is in court right now undergoing his trial, and jurors got to see his videotaped confession. The crime was pretty heinous in itself, the girls reported last words are tough. [Link]

Last, but not least, we have Bryan. You all may remember Bryan James Hathaway from back when we posted about him sometime last year. If not, no worries, in a nutshell, Hathaway is a sick, sick man who also has a fascination with dead animals. He likes to fuck them. Shortly after being released from jail for the 2005 killing a horse named Bambrick to have sex with it, he came across a dead deer in a ditch. Not looking a dead gift deer in the mouth, he proceeded to drop his drawers and have sex with it right there in the dirt. [Link]

In the tape, a soft-spoken Underwood told FBI agents that he hit her over the head with a wooden cutting board while she was watching television and playing with his pet rat. When asked what happened after he hit her, he stated “That’s something that’s haunted me forever since it happened,” he said. “She started yelling, I’m sorry,’ which I’m like, What is she sorry for? She didn’t do anything wrong. It’s me. I’m the one that should be sorry.“‘

He also stated that he regretted hitting her immediately after he did it, but it was too late to turn back. So the regretful Underwood did what anyone does when they feel bad about hitting someone in the head with a cutting board. He smothered her with his hands, sexually assaulted her lifeless body, draped the corpse over the bathtub and began sawing her neck with a decorative dagger, nearly cutting her head off. Yup.

No one is denying he did this, but their defense is that he started having fantasies of eating people after he started taking Lexapro, the antidepressant. The only reason why he picked a kid was because he knew they would be easier to contain. That they would not be able to fight back.

At the end of the videotaped confession, Underwood appeared to become tired and then became physically sick.

I’m a little buzzed and decided to listen to Ozzy’s Dairy of a Madman, so I figured I throw a couple more stories out there for you guys tonight. Starting with this guy. If not, no worries, in a nutshell, Hathaway is a sick, sick man who also has a fascination with dead animals. He likes to fuck them. This story garnered a lot of attention, not just because of the Dead Deer Fucker’s nasty actions, but also because they really didn’t know how to charge the guy. As sick as the act may seem, a dead deer is an inanimate object. I mean, I have no plans on giving my toaster-oven oral, but I don’t necessarily want to go to jail for it if I ever do. It’s a victimless crime more or less. Also, while it is illegal to have sex with an animal in Wisconsin, the law said nothing about an animal’s corpse. Hathaway eventually pleaded no contest to a charge of “misdemeanor mistreatment of an animal”. He was sentenced to six months’ probation and ordered him to be evaluated as a sex offender and treated at the Institute for Psychological and Sexual Health in Duluth, Minnesota.

Well, this guy just cannot stay out of the news. He has now been sent to 9-months in jail after having his probation revoked. He is accused of violating the terms of his probation by using alcohol and marijuana, lying to his probation agent, and having unapproved contact with a minor child and sexual relations with another adult. Can you imagine what is going through the head of that other adult if they did not know about Hathaway’s past? That has to be the LAST place a woman is thinking a guy would have previously placed his dick. I mean, the only way I could imagine my dick being inside of the carcass of a dead dear would be if I happened to be naked in the snow, about to die, and I come across the carcass of a deer and had to split it open to crawl inside to stay warm. And even then I’d be hesitant.

Bryan James Hathaway is a true deviant, no question. I am not defending his actions, but I am just curious what the rest of you think in regards to him being charged with a crime for doing them. Is it because the animal used to be alive? What if I have a sexy grizzly bear stuffed and mounted and I decide to have my way with it, should I be charged as well? I dunno, help me out here. I’m on the fence with this one. If it is illegal to have sex with an animal carcass, should there be a stage of decay before it is deemed NOT illegal? What if it is just bones? Or a nice bear skin rug in a fancy hotel? What about a thawed Butterball turkey? What’s the difference? Police recorded Daley’s phone conversations as he was talking about his plans. They also seized his home computer as evidence. Daley is in jail with no bond, charged with criminal solicitation to commit first-degree murder. MONESSEN, Pa. — Funeral director Johnny Draper left the Draper Funeral Home to talk to some friends across the street. After about 10 minutes, he noticed a light on in the basement and decided to go investigate. Draper found the body of a deceased woman, who had been previously prepped for a viewing, with one her legs up in the air, her stockings had been removed and the plastic covering her body had been torn open.

He also found Roderick Jones lying next to the coffin trying to hide. Draper restrained the man until police arrived. Jones has a history of burglary, criminal trespass and criminal mischief as well as being convicted of abuse of a corpse in 1999. Jones is being held in the Westmoreland County Prison, charged with abuse of a corpse and burglary, police said.
