After Being Fatally Stabbed By Best Friend, Woman Kills Best Friend’s Child With Car

CLEVELAND, OH – Here’s a crazy one out of Cleveland where a woman has been accused of stabbing her best friend while she sat behind the wheel of a car. The stabbed woman then tried to hit her attacker with her car, but hit her attacker’s 2-year-old daughter instead. The woman and the toddler both died.
The incident happened on Thursday night when 29-year-old Kimberly Black and her best friend, 29-year-old Sharice Swain, got into an argument while sitting in a running car parked in Black’s driveway. Police say Black left the vehicle, retrieved a knife from her home, and then fatally stabbed Swain in the face and neck.
As neighbors ran to assist Swain, she stepped on the gas in an attempt to run over Black, but ended up hitting Black’s two daughters, 2-year-old Kimshia Ruffin and 1-year-old Taraji Ruffin, before running into Black’s home and collapsing part of the roof.
For reasons unknown, Black stripped naked and stood in the street holding both of her injured toddlers. One neighbor says she picked up a bloody, broken Kimisha after Black dropped her and cradled her until help arrived.…

Canada – While perusing the news for some articles to post, I found an update on Vince Li, the Canadian cannibal who beheaded and ate parts of a stranger on a Greyhound bus. Last week he won the right to leave the grounds of the mental hospital where he is being held. Oh, Canada.
Back in 2008, 40-year-old Li was a passenger on a Greyhound bus traveling at night along a desolate stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway. For no known reason, aside from Li being batshit insane and God telling him to, Li stood up and began calmly stabbing the fellow sitting beside him in the neck and chest.
The victim, 22-year-old Tim McLean, was a carnival worker returning home to Manitoba after working at a fair in Alberta. He didn’t have much time to defend himself as he had been sleeping while listening to music on his headphones. The bus came to a stop and everyone inside fled, leaving poor McLean to be carved up at the hands of Li.

Mississippi — Police are warning drivers along Mississippi’s northern highways to be extra cautious about pulling over for a vehicle after two people were found shot to death by a someone police think could be posing as a cop.
The Tate County Sheriff’s Office released the following warning via their Facebook Page:
“We urge everyone to be cautious while driving, especially at night. If someone attempts to pull you over with flashing lights and you feel unsure of stopping, DON’T PULL OVER. Use your cell phone and dial 911 and if it’s a real officer then the dispatcher will confirm it for you and if it’s not a real officer they will send help to you. Our deputies have been told not to overreact if someone does not immediately pull over. Your safety is our primary concern.”
This warning comes after two people, in separate incidents, were found shot to death along Mississippi highways within days of each other. In both cases, it looks as if the victims had pulled over for someone.…

Corpus Christi, TX - A five year research project at Columbia School of Law has established that Carlos DeLuna, 27, was wrongly executed in 1989 after a string of proceedings – and errors. A report, entitled “Los Tocayos Carlos: Anatomy of a Wrongful Execution,” traces Deluna’s path to his lethal injection.
In February 1983, Wanda Lopez – a single mother – was stabbed to death in the gas station where she worked in Corpus Christi. That night Lopez had called police for help twice to protect her from an individual with a switchblade.
“They could have saved her, they said ‘we made this arrest immediately’ to overcome the embarrassment,” law professor James Liebman said.
Forty minutes after the crime Carlos DeLuna was arrested near the gas station. DeLuna said he ran from police because he was on parole and had been drinking.
Deluna was identified by a single eyewitness who saw a Hispanic male running from the gas station. There were some immediate discrepencies. Deluna was dressed differently and clean shaven.…

IRVINGTON, Ala. – Police in Alabama are investigating the murder of a monk who died inside a Buddhist temple at the hands of a fellow monk.
Shortly after two monks at the Wat Buddharaksa Temple were seen arguing, a third monk would find one of them dead. Reports are that 45-year-old Chaiwat Moleechate and 32-year-old Veun Phidsamay where arguing over chores and following orders when Phidsamay beat Moleechate to death with a blunt object.
Veun Phidsamay was later arrested and charged with murder after admit to police that he murdered Moleechate. Police have obtained a search warrant for a nearby mobile home where they hope to find the weapon Phidsamay used on Moleechate.
“I’m shocked. I couldn’t believe it,” said temple President Visanou Khamphouy. “How many years people stay together and kill each other like that?”
Moleechate has been on the news before and can be seen in the following video from 2010 talking about the Wat Buddharaksa Temple congregation building a new temple after fire destroyed their old one in 2008.

RAGLAND, AL – Police have charged a 14-year-old with the murder of his 9-year-old half-sister who was found dead on Thursday, hanging from a tree in her family’s backyard.
Katelynn Arnold’s aunt became concerned when she did not return home from a bicycle ride around the neighborhood on Thursday and started looking for her. She did not find her with any of the friends she normally played with and returned home to find the girl in the backyard, hanged from a tree with an old tire swing rope.
Rescuers removed the girl from the tree and rushed her to the hospital where she would be pronounced dead. An autopsy would show cause of death to be ligature strangulation. Investigators would immediately call the death “very suspicious” but would not say why. That is until early the next day when they arrested Katelynn’s 14-year-old half-brother and charged him with murder.
The teen has admitted to police that he killed the girl by hanging her from the tree and has provided them with a motive that they have yet to reveal to the public.…

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – A community is reeling after a 14-year-old girl stabbed her 4-year-old cousin to death.
According to reports, Leon “Tater” Thomas III and his 11-year-old sister were at their grandparents, where their 14-year-old cousin also lived, when the stabbing took place.
The kids were in a front room of the two-story apartment while the grandparents were upstairs. Leon’s sister ran upstairs to get them when the older girl’s temper started to get out of control over reasons unknown. When she returned downstairs, she found that her cousin had repeatedly stabbed Leon.
The boy was rushed to the hospital, but would die later that day. The 14-year-old suspect was found shortly afterward walking down the street several blocks away, covered in blood.
She was taken to the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center on a preliminary charge of murder. Her detention hearing is scheduled to take place today, where it will be decided if she should remain detained and when prosecutors can ask that she be transferred to adult court.
The girl as an eight-grader at John Marshall Community High School who neighbors describe as a “sweet, quiet girl.” They say she belonged to the church and participated in youth programs and the choir.…

Little Rock, AR — A 58-year-old man is facing murder charges after police say he intentionally ran down a teen boy with his grocery-getter after the young thug relieved him of his wallet.
According to witnesses, Michael Sadler had just cashed a check at the Asher One stop convenience store Thursday, when 14-year-old Michael “Lil Flip” Stanley rode by on his bike and jacked his wallet before pedaling down the street.
Incensed, Sadler hopped into his mini-van and gave chase, jumping the curb and tearing through several yards before finally mowing the kid down in a vacant lot.
Once the kid was immobilized, Sadler reportedly dragged him out from underneath the van and began beating the holy hell out of him. One witness told police Sadler even tore the kid’s clothing off in an attempt to find the wallet.
“He ran over him than pulled him out from under the van and started beating him up and choking him. That’s what I saw.” said witness Dewayne Turner. ”He [Stanley] is well loved; you know kids are going to be kids.…

Dallas, TX – Police have charged a 28-year-old woman with murder after they say she cut off a man’s genitals before stabbing him to death while in a Texas motel room.
A security guard at a Motel 6 contacted police to report he had heard a loud argument going on between a man and women in one of the motel’s third-floor rooms. He told them that when he went to investigate, he witnessed Cristal Richardson walking down the hall naked and covered in blood.
Responding police were let into the room by the motel manager, and there they found the dead body of 34-year-old Cedric Owens. According to the medical report, Owens had suffered, “multiple stab wounds to his upper body, his throat was cut and there was traumatic amputation of the penis and scrotum.”
Richardson was treated at the hospital for minor, offensive injuries to her hands before being booked on a charge of murder with bond set at $200,000.
The two were casual acquaintances who both have criminal records that include assault and drug related convictions. Richardson’s attorney said she had simply acted in self-defense.…

WINTER PARK, Fla. — Police have announced they have a suspect in custody in connection to the execution style murders of two teenagers whose bodies were found burning alongside a popular walking trail.
Last month, some bicyclist riding along the Cady Way Trail found the burning bodies of 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart, best friends who both attended Winter Park High School.
It is now being revealed that police have a suspect and have had him in custody since two days after the boys were found. His name is Jessie Davis and it may come as a shock, judging by his picture, but the 30-year-old is an alleged drug dealer with a lengthy criminal history. He also lives one mile from where the murders occurred.
Davis was arrested on April 17 on charges of violation of probation, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, attempted first-degree murder and armed robbery. These charges are not related to the deaths of Presha and Stewart.…

Lake Wales, FL — Christopher Whaley, 23, is in police custody after reportedly admitting to fatally stabbing his grandmother as she bathed Saturday evening.
The proverbial sh*t apparently hit the fan shortly after a verbal confrontation between Whaley, his grandmother, 69-year-old Barbara Denmark, and another relative as the family was preparing to return home from a mini-vacation in Daytona Beach.
“Chris is exceptionally angry because he’s been forced to come home and couldn’t stay with new best friends,” said Sheriff Grady Judd. “So angry that he decided to kill his grandma who he’d been living with for the last five years.”
Family members told police that Whaley lived with Denmark for the last five years because, due to his “mischievous” behavior, she was the only one that would take him in. Shocking.
Anyway, upon his return home, Whaley began plotting. He decided to off grandma first, then figured he’d head on over to the aunt’s house and kill her, too.
With a knife in each hand, Whaley allegedly entered his grandmother’s bathroom and proceeded to slash and stab, leaving the woman with nearly 25 stab wounds.…

BALTIMORE, MD - Police announced they have a man in custody in connection with the murder of 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes.
In January 2010, Barnes traveled from North Carolina to visit her half-sister in Baltimore during Christmas break. She disappeared from her sister’s apartment complex on Dec 28 shortly after leaving to get something to eat. On April of 2011, her dead body was found floating in the Susquehanna River.
On Wednesday, police arrested Michael Johnson, the ex-boyfriend of Barnes’ older sister and the last person to see her alive. Johnson had been questioned several times during the investigation and was asked to provide a DNA sample. He dated Barnes’s sister for over 10 years, according to Barnes’ father.
This arrest comes on the heels of the lead investigator, Detective Daniel T. Nicholson IV, being suspended after being accused of using his position to investigate his own daughter’s disappearance last weekend. She was eventually found safe, but an investigation was launched into whether or not Nicholson improperly used departmental resources in his search.
Johnson’s lawyer, Russell Neverdon, hinted that this arrest is simply an attempt to salvage the credibility of the case following Nicholson’s suspension.…

Puyallup, WA – A Washington state man faces more than 25 years in prison after being found guilty of murdering a female roommate and then concealing the crime. He was also found guilty of an additional charge related to his “kissing” the genitals of the victim before burying her in a shallow grave.
On September 12, 2011, the ex-wife of Kelly Merz, 51, walked into the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department precinct to report that Merz had just called her and confessed to killing 33-year-old Cori Lewis. An investigation followed.
According to a prosecutor’s press release, in August 2011, the victim, 33-year-old Cori Lewis began renting a bedroom in Merz’ two-bedroom apartment with a friend. After “tension among the roommates,” Lewis and her friend were given an eviction notice by Merz. This reportedly lead to an argument between Merz and Lewis that “turned violent.” In his interview, Merz reportedly told investigators that, during the altercation, he, “tried unsuccessfully to break her neck.” According to prosecutors, “intent on killing Cori, he pinned her to the floor, pulled a .380 handgun from his back pocket, placed the muzzle to her head and fired once,” killing her.…

WINTER PARK, Fla. — Two teen boys who grew up together, hung out together and got in trouble together may have died together after their burning bodies were found on the side of the road earlier this week.
Initial reports were that early Sunday morning, bicyclists on a popular bike trail called 911 after finding what looked like two bodies burning on the side of the trail.
“I can’t tell if there is two mannequins or two people burning,” the caller said.
Unfortunately, they weren’t mannequins and dental records were used to positively identify the bodies as best friends, 16-year-old Nicholas Presha and 18-year-old Jeremy Stewart, who both attended Winter Park High School.
Nicholas is also the son of Bernie Presha, an investigator for the state attorney’s office who said his son snuck out of the house at around 2 a.m. Sunday, and that he had been unable to find him when he went out looking for him.
Residents of the nearby Sun Bay Apartments complex reported hearing gunshots early that morning, and one said they heard arguing outside their door just hours before the bodies were found.…

OKLAHOMA CITY – That’s one hell of a title, right? On Tuesday, a woman was sentenced to life after she pleaded guilty to beating her dwarf roommate to death with a crystal ball and a DVD player.
Police say 40-year-old Clara Ann Blocker was homeless and had been staying with 41-year-old Erik Scott Saxton temporarily when the beating death occurred.
Initially, the 5″11 Blocker told police she would have never hurt Saxton, who stood 4″5 tall and was partially paralyzed, because he was a little person.
She would later admit that the two had been drinking when they got into an argument. Enraged, she admitted to using a crystal ball to hit Saxton in the head, then used a DVD player to beat the man. She has never revealed what the argument was about.
On Tuesday she pleaded guilty to first degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
“He was a little man with a big heart. His heart was kind and open, and he wouldn’t have warranted an attack,” said Saxton’s mother, Juanita Saxton Tischendorf.…

SAO PAULO, Brazil – Police have arrested three people who have confessed to murdering two women, eating parts of their bodies and then using their remains to make meat pies sold to neighbors, schools and hospitals.
Police were first alerted to 51-year-old Jorge “Sweeney Todd” Negroponte, his wife, Cristina da Silveira, and his mistress, Bruna da Silva, after they used the credit card of a missing woman.
According to reports, a 5-year-old girl living with the suspects showed police where the remains of two missing women, Alexandra Falcao, 20, and Gisele da Silva, 30, could be found buried in the backyard of the house.
After the three were picked up by police, they confessed to their crimes. They told police they were part of a cult they created called ”Cartel” that seeks to purify the world and reduce the population. They planned on doing this by killing three people a year. COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rayshawn Laster pleaded guilty to fatally shooting his mother in the head last December, admitted doing so in a text to a neighbor and then provided updates on Facebook while on the run from police.
On December 30, police received a call from 49-year-old Brenda Laster-Taylor in regards to an argument she was having with her 26-year-old son, a known gang member. Laster had already fled the premises by time the officers arrived, but returned around 7:30 p.m. and shot his mother in the head while she talked on her cell phone.
He immediately admitted to shooting his mother in a text message to a neighbor that read, “i killed brenda.” After failing to carjack a man outside of a bar, he posted as series of status updates on Facebook using a cell phone.
“To all my solids n my real friends. Forever hustlin. Even after death. Solid 4 life,” one read. At around 9 p.m. an update stated, “I’m sorry for nothing. My journey has come to an end.”

MONROE, Wash. – Last year we reported on the heinous murder of Jayme Biendl, the 34-year-old prison guard at the Monroe Correctional Complex, who was murdered in the prison chapel by inmate Byron Scherf. His videotaped confession has been made public, one in which he explains why and how he killed Biendl.
Scherf was serving a life sentence for rape and assault when he was noticed missing during a head count last year. He was eventually found sitting in the prison’s chapel where he often volunteered, suffering from scratches and bite marks to his arms and hands.
He explained he had been attacked by a pack of Mexicans and had fallen asleep in the chapel. It was an hour later, while Scherf was being questioned in the shift lieutenant’s office, that Biendl’s body would be discovered inside the chapel. She had been strangled to death with an amplifier cord.
Scherf would be charged with Beindl’s murder and the prison would suffer some fallout in regards to Biendl’s fellow employees trying to cover their incompetence, and even some changes that improved worker safety.…

Providence, RI – Police have confirmed that the body found in a backyard storage shed of a home in Rhode Island does belong to the autistic teen who went missing in Massachusetts last month.
Joseph Webster, 19, was last seen at a Motel 6 on March 13. His family became increasingly worried when the teen never returned home because he had never stayed out overnight before.
He also suffered from mild autism and severe diabetes that required him to take insulin every eight hours. Even more distressing was the fact that Webster did not have enough insulin with him to survive the length of time he had been missing.
Police would eventually arrest 19-year-old James Howze and 22-year-old Lara Corey in connection to the teen’s disappearance, accusing the pair of assaulting Webster and stealing his car.
Corey had been staying in Room 214 at the Motel 6 where Webster was last seen and at the time he vanished. Prosecutors said blood and a shovel were found at the hotel and Howze had tried selling Webster’s car in Rhode Island.…

LIVONIA, Mich. – Police say a teen was upset over his recent breakup with his girlfriend when he broke into her home and used an axe to kill her mother and her new boyfriend before killing himself.
On Wednesday, 19-year-old Brian Douglas White entered the home of his ex-girlfriend, 17-year-old Desiree Staperfene, and used an axe to kill her mother, 46-year-old Angela Kim Staperfene, as well as Desiree’s new boyfriend, 19-year-old Jacob Lee Burns. Both would die from multiple axe wounds to the head.
Reportedly, Desiree was forced to watch as her mother and boyfriend were murdered. She was injured during the attack, but the Stevenson High School senior was able to flee the home and call 911. When police arrived on the scene, they found White dead after having blown his brains out.
Desiree was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and released from the hospital. Friends say White recently confronted Desiree at school and say his controlling nature is the reason she recently broke up with him.
