Man Charged With Daughter’s Murder Admits To Incestuous Relationship

Washington, DC — On November 27th of last year, 17 year-old Ebony Franklin was reported missing by her mother. On the 29th, her body was discovered by a pedestrian in a trash container located in an alley. Franklin had been stabbed fifteen times and dropped head first into the receptacle.
The girl was supposed to have been spending the weekend of the 26th with her father. In fact, the two were supposedly meeting that day so he could give her some Christmas presents. Dear old dad, however, apparently told the girl’s mother she had to decided to spend the weekend with her boyfriend. Several calls and texts were later made from Franklin’s phone, to her mother and others, including this: “Remember, the bitch told on my man nowyoo get her out the trash.”
Police say that this was an attempt by the girl’s father, Rodney J. McIntyre, to point investigators away from him. After being questioned several times since November, police have arrested McIntyre and he has been charged with first-degree murder as of Monday.…

LOUISVILLE, KY – I had already posted two stories in a row detailing mothers killing their kids, so I figured I was done with those for the day. But I just couldn’t pass this one up because it is a time-honored tradition here at D’D to welcome in summer with the start of kids being left to cook to death in cars by their brain-dead parents.
Police have arrested 28-year-old Mollie Shouse and charged her with murder after they say she left her 2-year-old son, Kenton Brown, in her car for several hours while the temperature outside climbed to the mid 80′s. On Saturday, Kenton Brown’s grandparents found him unresponsive inside his mother’s Toyota Corolla parked right outside Shouse’s apartment.
Neighbors say they were alerted something was wrong when they heard screams and found an older woman rolling around in the grass. That’s when they say Shouse came running out of her apartment in her underwear. One neighbor tried to revive the boy, but it was too late. The coroner said his cause of death was consistent with environmental hyperthermia.…

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. – Continuing the trend of Xtreme late-term abortions, a mother in Colorado is facing murder charges after being accused of killing her two children before attempting to kill herself. No real shocker that she failed at that last part.
Kelli Lynn Murphy, 41, called 911 Monday morning to report that she was going to kill herself. When the dispatcher asked whether there were any children in the home, Murphy replied: “They are in heaven.” Ruh-roh.
Police in the area arrived within minutes and once inside the home they found the dead bodies of 9-year-old Liam and his sister, 6-year-old Madigan, inside their bedrooms. Murphy was suffering from self-inflicted injuries to her wrists.
On Sunday, a welfare check had been performed at the home at the request of the husband, but no one is reporting what happened during the visit aside from Castle Rock Police Chief Tony Lane saying it “related to this.” How Liam and Madigan died has not been released, but Lane stated they showed no signs of physical injuries.…

IRVINGTON, NJ – I’m having a shit week so I think I will focus on child killers, a subject I usually like to stay away from.
Starting with 30-year-old Venette Ovilde, a woman who was arrested on charges of aggravated manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child after her severely malnourished 8-year-old daughter was found dead.
Ovilde called 911 on Sunday to report that the girl was not breathing. When police arrived they not only found the girl dead, they found her looking like one of those starving Ethiopian kids on television eating bowls of sand with flies hanging out on their eyeballs. She was also sporting an untreated fracture of the femur which an autopsy would later reveal is what she died from.
They also found a 7-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy suffering from similar symptoms, both malnourished and sporting fractures and other physical injuries. The siblings, who were not registered at any schools, were taken to the hospital for observation.
Police feel Ovilde, who is from Haiti, was abusing the children because of possible religious reasons. Police also arrested Ovilde’s roommate, 23-year-old Myriam Janvier, charging them with endangering the welfare of a child.…

Fountain, CO – A police standoff in Colorado ended with a murder suicide and a woman fighting for her life.
At 2:22pm Monday a woman made a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance at a home on Gate House Lane. The line was left open after the call, and dispatchers could hear an argument between a man and woman continue on. A few minutes later police officers arrived. A man holding a gun was seen through a bedroom window above the home’s garage. The man threatened to kill his family if police officers didn’t leave, and started counting backward from five. The responding officers backed down from the home to coordinate a response.
Not long after that the woman, identified as 27-year-old Shannon Paolini, ran screaming from the home. The armed man, 34-year-old Gammall Perez, followed her out firing his weapon. Paolini was hit 5 times in total and collapsed trying to get into a pick-up truck. Police were unable to fire at Perez due to their distance from him and the proximity of other homes.…

CONCORD, Mass. – As everyone following this case already knows by now, the boy found dead along a gravel road in Maine has been identified as 6-year-old Camden Pierce-Hughes, and his mother has been taken into custody.
For those of you who have not been following this case, the body of a boy was found Saturday under a blanket alongside a remote road in Maine. Police were having issues identifying him as he did not match any missing persons reports. Even after they released a computer-generated photo of the boy, no one seemed to know who he was. The only clue they had was from a witness who saw a navy blue Toyota Tacoma pickup truck in the area.
This bit of info is what led to the boy’s identity finally being discovered and how he ended up on the side of the road. Someone saw a suspicious vehicle that matched the description being reported in this case sitting at a Chelmsford rest stop with a woman inside. When police arrived they found Camden’s mother, 42-year-old Julianne McCrery, sitting inside reading the Bible.…

Eau Claire, WI – In 1998, Cher Cha Moua, 54, of Wisconsin, fatally shot his wife, Va T. Moua, 37, and his daughter, high school senior Goshoua Moua, 18, at their mobile home. Moua then drove across town and shot his daughter’s boyfriend, Teng Xiong, 16, at the teen’s home about five miles away, seriously wounding him.
Moua reportedly pleaded guilty but, based on psychologist reports, Eau Claire County Judge Benjamin Proctor instead found him not legally responsible for the shooting spree. In May of 1998, Proctor ordered Moua’s commitment to the Mendota Mental Health Institute in Madison.
But, it appears that Wisconsin suffers from a fear of commitment… Wisconsin state law requires that a petition for conditional release must be granted if a judge determines the individual under a mental commitment no longer is at risk of causing bodily harm to himself or others.
In 2006, Judge Proctor approved just such a conditional release Moua. It didn’t work out so well, though… After being released from a state mental institution, Moua was sent back because he took some sleeping pills and stabbed himself in the stomach, chest and neck — drawing blood.…

Moscow, RU – Proving once again that arresting a cannibal at meal time is a good prosecutorial strategy, police in Moscow apprehended a man suspected of scattering dismembered body parts across the city in recent weeks.
According to published reports, the police visited the suspected cannibal’s apartment early Tuesday morning.
“When the police came to arrest the suspect, he was eating a human liver with potatoes,” a police spokeswoman for the Moscow’s western district said. The unnamed suspect “admitted he had eaten part of his acquaintance’s liver”, said the prosecutor general’s investigative unit.
Police also reportedly found a stew in the suspect’s refrigerator that had been made from human liver. Police have reported that they believe the liver – along with other parts found throughout the city – belonged to the suspect’s friend.
The decapitated head of a middle-aged man was found in the Moskva River in the west of the city on Wednesday. An arm, which had been severed at the wrist, was pulled from water under a bridge in south Moscow’s Tsaritsino Park on May 2, and two feet were discovered floating nearby in the Moskva River on the same day.…

Phoenix, AZ — Tiana Turnman, 18, and Shykeem Jones, 24, are both in police custody, facing charges of kidnapping and murder, after the two allegedly exacted deadly revenge over an apparent nookie session gone bad.
Police said between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, Turnman and five others were hanging out in the apartment 19-year-old Paul Katoa shares with his pregnant girlfriend. At some point that evening, Turnman reportedly hooked up with Andrew McConnell, a friend of Katoa’s, and the two had sex. When the lovin’ was over, witnesses say Turnman got a little pissy due to “a dispute over money exchanged during the sex act” and because McConnell left before the wet spot dried.
The pissed off woman left the apartment, only to return a short time later with a friend. And that friend, Shykeem Jones, was armed with a handgun.
Police say Turnman locked the front door while Jones ordered the others, three men and two women, to hit the ground. After Jones kicked one of the men in the head, Katoa rushed him, and the two began struggling over the gun.…

Houston, TX — Police have made an arrest in the gruesome murder of a man whose headless body was found in the backyard of a vacant northeast Houston home over the weekend.
Noe Morin, 35, was charged Monday in connection with the death of 35-year-old Marlon Thomas - his roommate and best friend of 20 years.
Thomas’ headless, dismembered body was discovered at about 7:00 Sunday evening behind a vacant home adjacent to the duplex he and Morin shared. In the crawlspace beneath the duplex itself, sitting next to a chainsaw, police found a garbage bag containing the missing head and one arm.
Though a neighbor reported hearing two gunshots at about 10:00 Saturday evening, investigators have reported that, except for the whole dismemberment/decapitation thing, there were no other obvious injuries to the victim. The exact cause of death won’t be revealed until after an autopsy is conducted, but my money’s on Husqvarna or Black and Decker…
Police have yet to release a motive in the killing, but friends and neighbors suggest the two may have been arguing about money or drugs.…

Dayton, OH — It took six years and three trials, but a second jury has found 31-year-old China Arnold guilty of cooking her 28-day-old infant to death in a microwave oven.
Arnold was accused of cooking Paris Talley in a microwave back in 2005. At the time of the incident, Arnold lived with her children and her boyfriend, Terrell Talley. Prosecutors said that Arnold placed Paris into the microwave after arguing with Talley over the baby’s paternity. Medical experts testified that Paris was probably in the microwave for more than two minutes. “She died because she was overheated,” said Dr. Marcella Fierro, retired chief medical examiner for Virginia. “She was cooked.”
Her first trial ended three years later in 2008 after a judge declared a mistrial when a 5-year-old boy came forward after the defense had rested their case. The boy stated he had seen another child place the infant in the microwave. It would later be determined the boy wasn’t even at the housing complex that day.
Her second trial ended later that year, a jury finding her guilty but unable to determine if she should get life or death.…

Tenerife, Spain – I don’t normally post stories from other countries, mainly because I barely have enough time to cover the messed up stuff going on in my own. But this one is just too crazy not to talk about.
While the shopping district of Arona was hosting tourists and shoppers, a 28-year-old Bulgarian man walked into a supermarket with a machete and launched an attack on a 62-year-old British woman inside the store. Without saying a word, he stabbed her and then he decapitated her.
He then walked outside with her bloody, severed head in his hands and threw it on the pavement before being subdued by security guards. Police say the man may be homeless and has a history of mental illness, having recently been released from the hospital in February after received treatment for violent behavior. He did not know the woman he attacked, she was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.
People who witnessed the attack had to treated for shock, and from some of the stories they are telling, it’s perfectly understandable.…

Conway, N.H – You remember Krista Dittmeyer, the lovely, inconspicuous-looking young woman whose infant daughter was found in her abandoned car a mere quarter-mile from the retention pond where her body was found. Well, as it turns out, looks can be deceiving. Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of this budding young drug dealer in what has become a tragedy-turned-cautionary tale.
Michael Petelis, 28, referred to himself as her “protector” while her baby daddy served his 18-month sentence for cocaine trafficking. But, as often happens in the drug world, Petelis had only gotten close to her to gain access to her goods (and, no, we don’t know what those goods were at this point, but I’m guessing it wasn’t weed).
What happened next was textbook in terms of robbing a drug dealer. Dittmeyer was called to Petelis’ house and, before she could even get inside, Anthony Papile, 28, came out of nowhere and cracked her in the head with a rubber bat. The two men then bound her with duct tape, stuffed her in the trunk of her own car and, well, you know what happened from there. Authorities aren’t saying whether or not she was still alive when she was submerged. Let’s hope not. Trevor Ferguson, 23, then drove Papile home in exchange for drugs and cash.…

San Diego, CA – A teenager was shot to death after responding to a fake ad posted on Craigslist.
When 18-year-old Garrett Berki and his girlfriend arrived at a location to purchase an item they saw for sale on Craigslist, they found out that the three 17-year-old black males they met weren’t selling anything at all. They had lured Berki to the location to rob him and his girlfriend of their cash and cell phones before jumping in a car and taking off.
Maybe he was just too pissed to think clearly, or maybe his ego clouded his judgement, but for whatever reason Berki made a fatal mistake when he began following the robbers in order to get their license plate number. When Berki followed the teens into a cul-de-sac, he was fired upon after the their car passed each other. Berki was struck and would later die at the hospital.
After shooting Berki, the three teens fled on foot after they crashed their car, but were apprehended shortly after with the help of air and canine units.…

LOUISVILLE, KY – A group of students on a field trip found a dead body in a ditch near Liberty High School Wednesday afternoon. The body was later identified as 14-year-old Terrence “Trey” Zwicker and now police are trying to find out who killed him.
A cause of death has not been revealed, but his death has been classified as a homicide. How long he had been laying there is not known at this point, but police said they do not believe he’d been there long. The teen lived nearby with his mother and stepfather, but also spent time with his dad who last talked to his son Sunday evening. They discussed his job at McDonald’s and his plans for the summer.
Other than that, there isn’t much info on this kid’s death. Some reports state he was not in school on Tuesday and a missing person’s report was never filed by the family. I read about ten different articles on this, and almost all of them involved a guy named Christopher 2X, a “community leader” who seems to be speaking for the family for some reason.…

SOUDERTON, PA – Police have identified the neighbor suspected of killing 9-year-old Skylar Kauffman as 24-year-old James Troutman.
The girl was last seen on Monday as she played with friends in the parking lot of the Souderton Garden apartments where she lived with her mother. When she did not come in for dinner, her mom became concerned and called police. When she still had not been heard from or seen by that night, an Amber Alert was issued and the search intensified.
Sadly, a few hours after the alert had been issued, it was cancelled. Skylar’s dead body was found wrapped in a blanket inside a nearby dumpster. As police began interviewing neighbors, they honed in on one in particular, Troutman, deciding to interview him a second time. That’s when they allegedly spotted blood on his shoes.
Troutman had a prior run-in with Skylar a couple of weeks earlier. She and another girl had used Troutman’s bathroom and noticed naked photos of women on the wall. When Troutman asked if they wanted to see “his bird” they tried to leave but found the door was locked.…
McKees Rocks, PA – A 20 year-old student at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh was shot dead early Sunday trying to trade his iPad for drugs. The man, Malachi Urbini, had apparently contacted another man named “Tay” for heroin.
What started as a small trade of four bags for an iPod became twenty bags in exchange for the over-priced thingamajigger.
A witness who went with Urbini [pictured] stated that when he met the man he was shot repeatedly, then robbed of his iPad. He would be pronounced dead at Allegheny General Hospital shortly after the witness called police. The witness would later pick out 19 year-old Taivon Lamont Cunningham from a photo lineup. No word on whether or not there’s an app for that…
Cunningham was arraigned this morning on charges of conspiracy, robbery and homicide.…

Santa Ana, CA – Annamaria Magno Gana, 41, was charged with murder Monday after allegedly shooting her husband dead on Mother’s Day. Annamaria faces an additional charge of attempted murder for allegedly shooting her 16-year-old son in the arm in the same incident.
Though motive is unclear at this point, police say it started at about 4:40 p.m. Sunday afternoon when Annamaria armed herself with a “high-powered handgun” and fired a shot into a bedroom ceiling.
When Antonio Gana, 72, and the couple’s teen son ran into the room to investigate, the woman reportedly fired, hitting Antonio in the chest. As her son turned to flee, Annamaria fired again, hitting the boy in the arm. Though injured, he managed to call 911.
The shooting may have continued had Annamaria’s 9-year-old son not wrestled the gun away from the crazed woman. Police say the boy grabbed the gun and beat feet outta the house to await the arrival of police and paramedics. Officers later found the gun on the neighbor’s lawn.
Annamaria was taken into custody and transported to Western Medical Center for treatment of gunpowder burns.…

Easton, MA — Seems like we’ve got ourselves a trend here at the DD lately, just in time for everyone’s favorite Hallmark Holiday.
On Wednesday night police received a call about a missing person. An investigation ensued, which would eventually turn up the body of Beth Spartichino, 42, buried in a shallow grave in her backyard. Exhumation of the body revealed what investigators believe to be gunshot wounds to the back. Also found at the scene was a shoe print, which led them to arrest her 17 year-old son, Matthew Worster.
Aside from the shoe print, police say Matthew left other pieces of compelling evidence in the form of voicemails, one of which was left on his father’s phone. In the message, Matthew allegedly stated “I did what I had to do, but know that I will be all right.”
Oddly enough, last year Easton Police received a phone call from Spartichino stating that her estranged husband had threatened to “kill her and bury her in the backyard where no one would find her.” It was around this time that the two began divorce proceedings.…

Madison, WI - James A. Larry, 33, of Madison, Wisconsin was angry that his family would not go along with his conversion to Islam. Very angry. Apparently now seeing the error of his ways, Larry pleaded guilty Wednesday to their murders.
Larry had converted to Islam while serving a prison sentence in Wisconsin for a weapons conviction. His family chose not to convert.
“He was upset at his wife and their family — he felt disrespected that they would not join his religion,” Assistant State’s Attorney Jim McKay said. “He wanted them dead.”
In the early morning hours of April 14, 2010, at the family home, Larry began by shooting his mother, Leona Larry, 57, as she slept on a sofa in the living room. He then went through the house, shooting his wife, Twanda Thompson, 19; his 7-month-old son, Jihad; his 3-year-old niece, Keleasha Larry; and his pregnant 16-year-old niece, Keyshai Fields.
Larry also shot his 13-year-old nephew, Demond Larry, in the face, but the boy survived.
Prosecutors said the defendant also kicked in the bedroom door of a man who lived in the basement of the home and tried to shoot him – apparently because he rented from infidels(?).…
