Tim Lambesis, Singer For As I Lay Dying, Accused Of Hiring Hitman To Kill WifeOcenaside, CA – Tim Lambesis, the 32-year-old lead singer for the jumbo shrimp Christian metal band As I Lay Dying, has been arrested and accused of trying to hire a hitman to kill his estranged wife.

Police received information last Thursday that Lambesis was “soliciting another individual” to kill his wife, Meggan, who filed for divorce last September. She currently lives in Encinitas with three Ethiopian children the couple had adopted.

According to the San Diego Sheriff’s Department, “The Encinitas Detectives, The San Diego Fugitive Task Force and the Sheriff’s Special Investigation Division investigators immediately initiated an investigation. The investigation culminated this afternoon [Tuesday], when Lambesis solicited an undercover detective to kill his wife.”

In his defense, while the Bible is pretty clear that you should not kill anyone, it’s a bit hazy when it comes to hiring someone else to do it for you. Lambesis was arrested without incident, then booked into the Vista Detention Facility. His next court appearance should be today or tomorrow.

I’ve never listened to As I Lay Dying, or any religious themed band that doesn’t worship the devil, so I have no idea if they are any good or not.…

Sue Hutchison, 82, Accused Of Trying To Have Three Family Members KilledHOOVER, AL – Hoover detectives say they arrested 82-year-old Sue Hutchison for trying to arrange for three of her relatives to be killed.

Police were first contacted on April 15th, and information was provided that suggested Hutchison was attempting to hire a hitman to off three of her relatives, allegedly over concerns about who might inherit her husband’s estate. Hutchison set up three meetings with a man she believed was a middle-man who knew a 3rd party who was willing and capable of carrying out the murders.

During one of the meetings, Hutchison insisted that they not use the word “killed” but instead should refer to what she wanted done as “eliminated”. Probably after scratching ‘iced’ and ‘whacked’ off her list as being too Sopranos. At two of the alleged meetings, money exchanged hands, along with some dry skin. On April 18th, Hutchison was taken into custody in the Lee Branch shopping center parking lot.

When interviewed, the old biddy admitted to detectives to orchestrating the plot. She believed the murders would be carried out on Wednesday night, and told police that she’d watched the local news Thursday morning to see if there was a story about the murders.…

Police: Woman Hired Grandson To Kill Husband Because She Was Sick Of HimCHICAGO, IL – A Chicago grandmother is in jail, charged with commissioning her grandson to snuff his grandfather, according to reports, because she was “sick of him.”

Janet Strickland, 64, was charged with one count each of first-degree murder and armed robbery with a firearm after her husband, William Strickland, 72, was killed in a hail of bullets in front of their home by his 19-year-old grandson, whose name is also William Strickland.

Janet Strickland, who knows about doing things the Chicago way, was not present at her bond hearing on Saturday. She was being held at a local hospital where she was being treated for lung disease and high blood pressure, according to the Chicago Tribune. Her bail was set at $500,000.

In full-on Capone mode, granny Strickland plotted with her teenage grandson, an admitted member of the Black P. Stones street gang, to kill her husband because she was “sick” of Strickland and wanted him dead, said Assistant State’s Attorney Jacqueline Kwilos.

“They discussed on numerous occasions killing the victim,” Kwilos said during the hearing.…

Priest Found Guilty Of Hiring Hit Man To Kill Teen Who Accused Him Of Sex AbuseDALLAS, Texas – Two years ago I posted about the Roman Catholic priest accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill a teenager who accused him of sexual abuse. On Thursday, a jury found him guilty.

For those too lazy to click the link above, here’s some background. 52-year-old Rev. John Fiala got busted in a sting set up by The Department of Public Safety and its Texas Ranger Division after one of Fiala’s neighbors went to police claiming the priest had offered him $5,000 to kill someone.

That someone was an 18-year-old boy Fiala had met in 2007, when the boy was only 16 and when Fiala was a priest at the Sacred Heart of Mary Parish. Authorities say Fiala would meet the teen at the teen’s grandmother’s house and would groom him with gifts like a cell phone, MP3 player, and cash for a car. In 2008, during a trip to a youth event, Fiala allegedly raped the teen at gunpoint in a motel room.

Afterwards, Fiala began abusing the teen at least twice a month.…

Mother Of Two Charged With Hiring Hit Man To Kill HusbandHouston, TX – Brittany Martinez, a 24-year-old emergency medical technician, has been charged with solicitation of capital murder after prosecutors say she paid a man to kill her firefighter husband.

According to court documents, she got caught after the man she hired to help her husband, a restaurant manager at Casa Ole, went to police. He told them that Martinez confided she was having marital issues and she wanted him to kill her husband. She would pay him $500 up front and then $1000 to $2000 once the job was done.

The manager told her he didn’t want to kill her husband, but he’d find someone who would. Two weeks later, on Sunday, Martinez gave the manager $500, her husband’s work schedule along with a photo of her husband — all to be relayed to the would-be killer. She needed the job done quickly, before her husband noticed the missing funds.

After she left, the manager called her back and recorded the phone call. In the recording, Martinez gave instructions that the hit man should kill her husband in the back parking lot of the fire station where he works in order to avoid security cameras positioned across the street.…

Animal Rights Activist Accused Of Hiring Hit Man To Kill Fur WearerCLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio – A woman in Ohio has been charged with hiring a hit man to kill a random person wearing fur at a public library.

Police say 27-year-old Meredith Lowell, a self-proclaimed animal rights activist, created a fake Facebook profile under the alias Anne Lowery to help her find someone willing to kill a person in cold blood to draw attention to the crimes she says are being committed by the fur industry. Using this profile, she posted the following request:

“I would like to create an online community on facebook which would allow me to find someone who is willing to kill someone who is wearing fur toward the end of October 2011 or early November 2011 or possibly in January 2012 or February 2012 at the latest.”

It didn’t take long before she got a taker; an undercover FBI agent who had been alerted to the post. The agent contacted Lowell and through emails, she was able to provide more details on the job she wanted done. For $730 in jewelery or cash, she wanted the agent to murder someone at a local library where she would be present to hand out animal cruelty pamphlets immediately after the murder had taken place.…

More Charges For Man Accused Of Contract Hit On Daughter He ImpregnatedSteger, IL – Robert J. Deja, 45, was back in court on a second sexual assault charge. …and judging by the now $12 million bail, prosecutors are clearly not amused.  If you are near a dry erase board, it may come in handy on this one…

Deja’s legal woes began in July after authorities reportedly learned of allegations that he had been sexually abusing his adopted daughter for approximately four years. Police then learned the young woman has a 3-year-old child fathered by Deja.  Police reports say Deja became upset when he found out that his now 20-year-old daughter had a new boyfriend. This reportedly prompted Deja to kick his daughter out of the house. Deja then attempted to hire his brother as a hit man to kill his daughter and her boyfriend. It is believed that the brother – who is, of course, the woman’s uncle – tipped off authorities.

On October 12, Deja was arrested and held on $7 million bail on charges of solicitation to commit murder and criminal sexual assault.…

Target Of Facebook Hit Shot To Death

August 16, 2011 at 1:34 pm by

Target Of Facebook Hit Shot To DeathPHILADELPHIA, PA – Back in June, we posted about a girl who used Facebook to hire a hitman to kill her baby daddy.

Not surprisingly, that plan failed miserably and she and the intended hitman were arrested.

Now it is being reported that the intended target has been shot to death mere hours after a hearing in which a judge ordered the two accused held on criminal solicitation for murder and attempted murder charges.

London Eley, 20, posted a status on Facebook offering $1,000 to kill her ex boyfriend, 22-year-old Corey White, who is also the father of her child. “I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father,” the post stated.

Timothy Bynum,18, responded with “say no more….what he look like?…. where he be at?” Eley provided Bynum with White’s address and description, to which Bynum responded that he will “need dat stack 1st” and “ima mop that bull.”

While the pair successfully murdered the English language, their plans to murder White fell through after his aunt noticed the messages and contacted the police. Eley was charged with solicitation to commit murder while Bynum was charged with attempted murder and conspiracy.…

Woman Charged With Using Facebook To Hire Hit ManPHILADELPHIA, PA – A 20-year-old woman is in jail after police say she solicited a hit man on Facebook to kill her ex.

The internet can be used for everything nowadays and finding someone to take out your ex-boyfriend is no exception. London Elay allegedly posted a status on Facebook offering $1,000 to kill her ex boyfriend, who is also the father of her child. The post showed up last month and stated “I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father.”

What’s surprising, but sadly isn’t, is that she got a taker. Timothy Bynum,18, responded with “say no more….what he look like?…. where he be at?” After Eley provided an address and description of her ex-boyfriend, Bynum then allegedly informed Elay he will “need dat stack 1st” and “ima mop that bull.” [my new pickup line -Morbid]

The ex-boyfriend notified police, likely saving his own life, after his aunt saw the messages on Facebook.

Officers who searched Bynum’s home found a .22-caliber handgun with the serial number destroyed. Eley is charged with solicitation to commit murder and Bynum is charged with attempted murder and conspiracy.…

Jury Rejects Reality TV Defense, Finds Woman Guilty Of Hiring Hit Man To Kill HusbandBOYNTON BEACH, FL – A jury has found 26-year-old Dalia Dippolito guilty of hiring a hit man to kill her husband back in 2009, rejecting her defense that she and her husband planned the murder-for-hire plot so they could get on reality TV.

At face value that sounds like one of the dumbest defense strategies ever concocted, but in all honesty, she really didn’t have a snowball’s chance in hell of beating the charges — so I guess it was better than nothing.

You may remember Dippolito from a few years back when we first reported on her. She gained some national attention when she was not only caught on video telling the “hit man” that when she sets her mind to something, she gets it done, but also caught on video arriving at the mock crime scene and putting on a pretty humorous performance.

Police had set up roadblocks and crime scene tape outside of the town house she shared with her husband, Michael Dippolito. When she arrived on the scene officers informed her that her husband had been murdered.…

Teen Who Tried Hiring Hit Man Through Facebook Has Accepted Plea DealWEST CHESTER, Pa. – One of the dumbest teens I have had the pleasure of posting about has admitted that he solicited a hit man through Facebook to kill a woman who accused him of rape.

Police say 19-year-old Corey Adams made a post on his Facebook that stated, and I quote: ““I got 500 on a girls head who wants that bread? Hit me up anyway possible.”

The girl’s head he is referencing is a 20-year-old woman who told police that after she consumed three drinks at a party in June, she started feeling nauseous. She says Adams offered to drive her home in her car. She blacked out only to wake up to Adams allegedly cutting her pants leg of with a knife and raping her.

She reported it to police who set up some taped recordings, one in which the woman asks Adams why he raped her. It was after that conversation that genius went on Facebook looking for someone to kill her. Detective Stan Billie contacted Adams posing as a hit man and set up a meeting to discuss details.…

Priest Accused Of Sex Abuse Charged With Soliciting Someone To Kill Teen AccuserTexas — Wanna talk about one evil prick? Check this out. A Catholic priest out on bond on charges he sexually abused a teen boy has now been charged with attempting to hire someone to kill the teen. Rev. John M. Fiala, 52, met the teen back in 2007, often visiting him at his grandparent’s house. Authorities say he initially groomed the teen with gifts like a cell phone, MP3 player, and even cash for a car. In 2008 during a trip to a youth event, Fiala raped the teen at gunpoint in a motel room. Fiala then began abusing the teen twice a month, sometimes on church grounds, under the guise of private catechism lessons. Even though the boy was in his late teens, Fiala would keep him submissive and silent by threatening to harm his family or his girlfriend if he told anyone. He would repeat these threats with daily text messages where Fiala would also threaten to kill him and himself so they would go to heaven together.…

MILWAUKEE, Wisonsin – A man waiting in jail on sex assault charges just added a couple more felonies under his belt after trying to hire another inmate to kill his victim so they could not testify. Sunil Singh was accused of getting a 14-year-old drunk back in March before raping and beating her in the basement of an apartment building. While awaiting trial, police say that Singh enlisted the help of another prisoner in an effort to win his case — by killing the teen victim. Investigators have recordings of Singh telling the other inmate to “kill her, throw her in the garbage.” He explains that without the witness to testify against him, “I win my case.” As payment, Singh gave the man the combination to a safe located in the gas station where he used to work. Singh now adds two more felony charges under his belt and the possible addition of 18 years in prison.…

Police: iPad Thief Charged In Plot To Kill Victim

August 19, 2010 at 11:12 am by

Denver, CO - Back in April, TheMorningStar posted a story in our forums about Bill Jordan – the man who had to have his pinky removed at the first knuckle because of some punk-ass loser thug. Jordan had just purchased an iPad at the mall and was walking toward the parking garage when the thug approached him and tried to rip the Apple bag out of Jordan’s hands. Unfortunately, Jordan had the shopping bag cord wrapped tightly around his fingers. “He was almost sitting on the ground he was pulling so hard and it was still tied around my fingers; and it wouldn’t come off and then finally he gave it one big jerk; and that’s when he stripped the skin off my pinky and it went right down to the bone,” Jordan later told reporters. The kid grabbed the iPad and took off. Jordan’s finger was mangled so badly, amputation was necessary. Through video surveillance, authorities were able to identify the suspect in the robbery – Brandon Smith. The 21-year-old has been sitting in jail awaiting his fate since being picked up just days after assaulting Jordan.…

Did Terri Horman Want Kyron’s Daddy Dead?

July 6, 2010 at 9:29 am by

Portland, OR – In last week’s update, I wrote that Kaine Horman took the child he has with Terri Horman and moved out of the house before filing for a divorce and a restraining order. Now we may know why. According to an article published by the Oregonian on Sunday, a landscaper who worked for Kyron’s family told detectives that Terri offered to pay him “a lot of money” to kill Kaine. The unnamed landscaper said Terri approached him with the murder-for-hire plot about six or seven months before Kyron disappeared. She described being in a bad marriage and claimed that Kaine had been unfaithful. The landscaper said he had no intentions of going through with the hit, but he truly believed Terri was dead serious. On June 26th, the landscaper, who is fully cooperating with authorities, was wired and a meeting with Terri and an undercover officer was set up. Unfortunately, Terri ended the conversation before anything incriminating was said. Later that same day, Kaine was informed of the plot and he wisely got the hell outta Dodge.…

Los Angeles – I had no real intentions of posting this guy and I was hesitant in even placing this story in the celebrity category, but he did have his own television show, so screw it. Juan-Carlos Cruz, the host of “Calorie Commando” on the Food Network in 2004, has pleaded not guilty to the charges of attempted murder and solicitation of murder. This comes after a homeless man told Santa Monica Police Department’s homeless liaison officers that Cruz had been trying to recruit him and another man to kill his wife, Jennifer Campbell. He told them that Cruz had given one of the men a weapon and a cellphone as well as instructing them how to bypass his security system. He wanted her throat cut, but later asked that they simply strangle her. But luckily his plans were thwarted and he is now sitting in jail. The reason for me posting this? Cruz’s motive. It’s as dumb as it is ballsy.…

Chicago - The piece of shit displayed today is 32-yr. old Edward Floyd. He was already in jail for child molestation when he sexually assaulted two children, including a 4-yr. old girl, back in November 2007 and was linked through DNA evidence. Floyd now faces solicitation of murder charges after police say he tried to hire someone to murder his two victims, their parents, and two others. Floyd is held in the maximum security division of the jail and is in protective custody. He is only permitted to leave his cell for one hour a day and during that hour he told other inmates he wanted to find someone to carry out a killing for him. The sheriff’s Criminal Intelligence Unit caught wind of Floyd’s plan and arranged for an undercover officer to pose as a hit man. Floyd wrote a detailed letter to the officer which included the family’s address and where the children slept. …

Danish Minhas Loved His Mom To Death

January 7, 2010 at 11:19 am by

Houston, TX – When 43-year-old Tabassum Khan was found stabbed to death in the early morning hours on November 25th, authorities suspected her 17-year-old son, Danish Minhas, may have had something to do with it – at the time, though, they just couldn’t prove it. Danish, who discovered the body, told investigators he’d spent the entire night away from home and discovered his mother’s body when he returned home that morning. Which was weird, because Khan ran a tight ship and was rather strict with her son when it came to curfew. Six weeks after Khan’s death, one of Danish’s friends was busted for selling drugs on school grounds, and oddly enough, his fingerprints matched those found in Khan’s home. Police hauled in 18-year-old Nur Mohamed for questioning. It was then revealed that Danish had placed a $4,000 bounty on his mother’s head and Nur took the bait – he confessed to stabbing Khan nearly 50 times while Danish stood as look-out. …

Gallatin County, ILL- Residents were surprised when small town Sheriff Raymond Martin was arrested on drug charges; the 20 year policeman was caught in a large scale marijuana distribution ring, where him and his “source” were selling about 20lbs of weed on a biweekly basis. However, that surprise pales in comparison to the community’s shock when Martin’s wife, Kristina Martin, and son, Cody Martin, were arrested while visiting him in prison. The charge? Murder-For-Hire! The entire family got in on this cop’s corruption when they collaborated with two men, “identified as Kevin B. and Thomas H.”, to plot murder- and the victims were to be witnesses in Daddy’s drug trial! Now all three are locked up with a bond of one million bucks each, set to appear in court today (Tuesday). Interestingly enough, Martin remains sheriff and continues to draw on his $40,000 a year salary. Gallatin County is on top of it, though – they have written Martin a letter, urging him to resign.…
