Corona, California–Belinda Magana called police Sunday evening to report that her 2-year-old son, Malachi Magana, had disappeared from Lincoln Park while on a Mother’s Day outing with his family. UPDATE -Police are questioning 20-year-old Peter Brozowitz. He has become a “person of interest” say authorities investigating the case. He has retained an attorney and was refusing to talk. There has also been a possible sighting of Britannee on a bus.
Brittanee Marie Drexel, 17, of Rochester, NY traveled to Myrtle Beach, SC without her mother’s permission, to stay with some older friends. She has not been heard from since Saturday. Her mother, Dawn Drexel, along with friends and family were in Myrtle Beach handing out flyers hoping they can get some more information on her whereabouts. Flint, Michigan–Very little information is being released in the case of 9-year-old Shylea Myza Thomas, but this is what I have discovered. Shylea hadn’t been seen in over six weeks–relatives reported her missing to DHS on Tuesday. On Wednesday, her body was found, surrounded by mothballs and stuffed into a garbage bag, locked up in a storage unit in Michigan. Prosecutors say they’re considering rape and molestation allegations against Melissa Huckaby. San Joaquin County Deputy District Attorney Robert Himmelblau said Monday that a homicide charge against Huckaby could include the special circumstances of rape with a foreign object, lewd and lacivious conduct with a child and murder in the course of a kidnapping.

Wheatfield, Indiana- On March 11, 2009, family members of Rosalba Silvana Ricchio, 54, were alerted by a neighbor who had not seen her since Monday, March 9. After paying a visit to Ricchio’s home, they reported her missing to the police. Her house was in disarray and one of the phone lines had been pulled out or cut. Things didn’t look like they normally would if you left the house voluntarily. Another key component was that her two Pomeranians, that she basically worshiped, were locked in a bathroom. Orlando, FL – Wow. Hell of a news day, huh? First, the DNA is back, and the tiny remains found in a trash bag last Thursday are, in fact, those of Caylee Marie Anthony. No real surprise, I suppose. I think we all knew when the body was found that it was hers. Who else would it be? No other tiny little girls with longish brown hair were even missing in Florida last week.
To add insult to murder, it now appears that Roy Kronk, the utility worker who found Caylee’s body, tried to notify authorities in August about the suspicious trash bag in the woods. Yes, the very same trash bag that turned out to hold the toddler’s remains. Three times on three different days, Mr. Kronk says, he called authorities. Yet it was not until the December 11 911 call (when Kronk reported that the bag had opened and a child’s skull had fallen out) that the remains were finally recovered – four months after Kronk made the first call to police. …

UPDATE 12/13/08 – I’ve been told that the hair on the recovered body is a visual match for Caylee’s hair under a microscope. The bone measurements are also correct for Caylee, so it’s just about certain that these remains are hers. More details at the bottom of the article.
Orlando, FL (December 11, 2008) - The search for 2-year-old Caylee Anthony may be over. At about 9:30 this morning, a utility worker who was working near the Anthony home walked into a wooded area to relieve himself. As he walked through the hilly, wet grass, the man stumbled across a trash bag which was held together with duct tape. When the man opened the bag, the skull of a small child rolled onto the ground. Waller County, TX – On March 18, 2007, the nude and mutilated body of a woman was discovered dumped near US Highway 290 in Prairie View, Waller County, Texas. She’d only been dead for about two hours. The young woman appeared to be white or Hispanic, and looked to be approximately thirty years old. She stood 5’4″, and weighed about 150 pounds. For over a year, she’s been known as the Waller County Jane Doe, her body unclaimed. UPDATE – A body has been found off the Long Island Expressway near Shelter Rock Road in Nassau, New York. That body has not been identified, and officials say it’s “too early” to tell if the body is Leah Walsh’s, but the location just about 13 miles from where Leah disappeared on Monday and it appears to have been there for at least 24 hours. Homicide detectives are on the scene, and a Nassau police spokesman says that body “will not be easily identified”. We’ll update as we get information.

UPDATE 10/26/08 – Paige and Levi have been found and their parents are en route to pick them up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where they were spotted under an overpass. The car Levi had stolen from his parents was abandoned in Omaha, Nebraska, and the pair had only sleeping bags for shelter. They have been taken to juvie, where they are awaiting their parents. I’m guessing that somebody’s gonna get grounded. We at the Demon are always happy for a happy ending – and a safe recovery is very happy indeed.  Score another one for the D’D Amber Alert tradition, and good lookin’ out to the person who spotted them. Yay!
Lathrop, MO - Christina Paige Alley, 14, and Levi Samuel Carlson, 16, are missing. They were last seen at a high school football game in Lathrop, Missouri nearly a week ago.  The pair was seen at the football game, and Paige Alley got permission to go home after the band performed at halftime. Paige and Levi have not been seen since, and the credit cards they each had have not been used in the five days since they disappeared. …

10/20/08 – UPDATE – Taylor’s body was found at 10:30 AM today within about 100 yards of where she was last seen. There were no obvious signs of trauma on her body. The state medical examiner is on-site, trying to ascertain cause of death.  Here’s hoping they can quickly determine what happened out there that night.  Rest in peace, Taylor.
