Police Investigating Krista Dittmeyer’s Disappearance As Crime, Executing Two Search Warrants
April 25, 2011 at 3:51 pm by Morbid
CONWAY, N.H. – Police to execute two search warrants in relation to the disappearance of 20-year-old Krista Dittmeyer, the mother who was reported missing after her car was found abandoned with her infant daughter inside.
Someone noticed her car on Saturday, sitting in the Cranmore Mountain ski area parking lot for several hours with its engine running and hazard lights flashing. Police would find Dittmeyer’s daughter in the back seat, alive and unharmed.
Dittmeyer was nowhere to be found and at the time I type this, that still seems to be the case. Police have come out and stated that they feel she has been the victim of a crime, mainly because nothing points to Dittmeyer leaving behind her car and child by choice.
“There is nothing we’ve uncovered to indicate that she voluntarily absented herself from the vehicle or the child,” Lt. Chris Perley said. “People have asked about suicide or mental illness, but there’s nothing to indicate either of those things.”
Her family agrees, stating she would never leave her daughter in her car by herself unless she was forced to.…

Baltimore, MD – While the news and online media clamor to post every damn scrap of news they can get their dirty hands on regarding the disappearance of Holly Bobo, another missing teen we posted about back in January has been found dead. Workers at the Conowingo Dam spotted the body of 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes floating in the Susquehanna River around 7:30 Wednesday morning.
Barnes is from Monroe, NC and was visiting her half-sister in Baltimore during Christmas break. She vanished from the Reisterstown Square Apartments on Dec 28 after leaving the apartment to get something to eat. Her last Facebook post said she was at her sister’s apartment with her sister’s boyfriend. By March, police reported they had no leads and had ruled out everyone that had come and gone from the apartment.
Unfortunately for her, she was not a pretty white girl. We can sit and debate why certain missing girls get more media attention than others all day long — is it the media, or is the media just giving the public what it wants — but the fact remains that in the entire time we have been posting stories on this site, nothing ratchets up the Facebook Shares, the comments, the online bloggers, the criminal profilers and the legal talking heads like a perfectly good white girl who has gone missing.…
Continue ReadingUpdate: Holly Bobo Still Missing, Brother Did Not See Her Dragged Away
April 16, 2011 at 8:14 am by Morbid
PARSONS, Tenn. – When I first reported on Holly Bobo, the 20-year-old girl missing in Tennessee, it was based on the very first media reports that, as usual, were full of incorrect information. Three days later, and a clearer picture has developed surrounding Bobo’s apparent abduction.
Holly’s brother did not witness her being dragged from the family’s carport as originally reported. He saw her being led towards a wooded area by a man in camaflouge that he assumed was her boyfriend. He only saw him from the back and he had her by the arm or hand, but not in a forceful manner. He did not become alarmed until he found Bobo’s car still in the carport along with some blood. He called his mother, who was not at home, then called 911.
That paints an entirely different picture and answers my initial questions about the brothers involvement and makes a lot more sense. Police also are reporting he has been ruled out as a suspect. But that isn’t the only news about Bobo’s abduction.…
Continue ReadingHolly Bobo Missing After Man In Camouflage Seen Dragging Her From House
April 14, 2011 at 12:19 pm by Morbid
PARSONS, Tenn. – There’s a frantic search going on in western Tennessee after a 20-year-old nursing student was last seen being dragged into a wooded area by a man wearing camouflage.
Police say they recieved two 911 calls Wednesday morning. One from a neighbor who heard Bobo screaming and the other from her family. Both Bobo’s mother and her 25-year-old brother reportedly watched from a window as the man dragged Bobo from the carport towards a wooded area near the home.
Investigators would not say if family members tried to intervene or if they were suspected in the abduction, but did clarify that this was not a home invasion, that the suspect never made it inside the home.
About 250 volunteers searched the rural area around her home Wednesday, with around 50 people returning today to resume the search. Neighbors and nearby communities have shown up to help in the search, bring food and offer their support to Bobo’s family.
Bobo is a gorgeous, 5-foot-3, 110-pound blonde, last seen wearing a pink shirt and light blue jeans.…

March 21, 2011 at 1:39 pm by Morbid
Orange, Conn — The FBI, state and local police are searching for 12-year-old Isabella “Bella” Oleschuck who was reported missing by her parents on Sunday morning.
Her parents believe their daughter, who is deaf in one ear, left without their knowledge Saturday night. She does not have her hearing aid. “The parents discovered her missing from her room, and there’s no indications at this time of foul play, so we’re covering all angles,” Orange Assistant Police Chief Ed Koether said. “We’re continuing to do the search and will do so until we have successful resolution.”
Dive teams are searching a pond behind Racebrook School and police would like to speak with a young man and woman seen walking near the pond early Sunday morning. At this time police are classifying Oleschuck as an endangered runaway, but are not ruling anything out.
Oleschuck has blue eyes and shoulder length blond hair. She is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weights about 120 pounds. She might be wearing a light blue jacket, brown felt hooded cape and black rain boots.…

Colorado City, TX – The mother of Hailey Dunn, the teen who has been missing for two months now, was arrested on Thursday, charged with hindering apprehension or prosecution, possession of dangerous drugs and false report to a police officer.
The Mitchell County District Attorney’s Office says they went to Billie Dunn’s home to carry out a search warrant on her longtime boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. During the search, law enforcement said Dunn lied to them so they took her into custody and charged her with the three misdemeanors. The dangerous drugs Dunn possessed are reportedly prescription drugs without a proper prescription.
This comes after law enforcement revealed child pornography was discovered among the porn found in Adkins’ home and on a jump drive found in Dunn’s home. Both Dunn and Adkins have been named “persons of interest” in Hailey disappearance, Adkins being the only one named as a suspect.
You know, the more information that comes out regarding Billie and her boyfriend has me thinking that Hailey blew her brains out when she realized that she may grow up to be just as dumb as her mother.…
Continue ReadingTwo Young Boys Missing For A Decade; Adoptive Parents Arrested
March 11, 2011 at 12:38 pm by Wanderer
Colorado Springs, CO - Did you think it was suspicious that it took Casey Anthony three months to finally report her daughter missing? What about a couple who never informed authorities that their two adopted sons went missing in 2001 and 2003? That’s not suspicious AT ALL, is it?
A search for two boys who haven’t been seen for as long as ten years has been launched in Colorado. On January 22nd, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a suspicious incident regarding the disappearance of Austin Bryant. When police went to investigate, they found that Austin was indeed missing and hadn’t been seen since sometime between 2003 and 2005. He was 7 years old in 2003. As investigators continued their work, they discovered that a second child–Edward Dylan Bryant–also had been missing for quite some time. He disappeared in 2001, at the age of 9.
Here’s the real kicker… adoptive parents Edward and Linda Bryant never reported either of the children missing. I am immediately thinking the worst in this situation and hoping this new media attention will shed some light on what happened to Austin and Edward.…

March 8, 2011 at 4:19 am by Wanderer
NEVADA — A high school senior has been arrested on suspicion of murder after the body of one of his missing classmates was found buried in a shallow grave.
Micaela Costanzo, 16, was reported missing on Friday after failing to return home from track practice the day before. On Saturday morning, a searcher found a freshly dug grave on a rural road near Utah that ended up containing a body that was positively identified as Costanzo’s.
Hours later, the victim’s former boyfriend, Kody Cree Patten, 18, was arrested on suspicion of murder after a cooperative investigation between the West Wendover Police Department, the Elko County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI. The vice principal of the high school, Craig Kyllonen, indicated the Patten and Costanzo were friends and used to date.
Patten was in school on Friday and reportedly attended a vigil for Micaela over the weekend. His Facebook is sparse, his last wall post from January stating” “i cant freakin believe this shit! i try my freakin hardest and you blow it out the fuckin window like it dont mean shit!”
The disappearance of Costanzo, a popular athlete at West Wendover High School, prompted more than 100 volunteers across the state to search for the teen. The searcher who found the grave said he was driving on a rural road near the Utah border Saturday when he noticed some ground had been dug up and called police.…
Shawn Adkins and Billie Dunn Lose the Child, Keep the Child Porn
February 25, 2011 at 9:38 am by impqueen
Colorado City, TX – It’s about to get real in CCity, denizens. Hailey Dunn, 13, has been missing for two months – and now child porn has been found in Billie Dunn’s dresser drawer. According to Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs, child porn, bestiality, and “deviant pornographic images and videos” were found on a memory stick in the master bedroom of Billie Dunn’s home early in January. Another 108,498 files were found on the computer Shawn Adkins used at his mother’s home in Big Spring. That’s almost ONE HUNDRED NINE THOOOUUUUSAND files. Which is, like, a metric shit ton of porn, no matter what kind it is.
According to the affidavit for search of digital media, the memory stick in Billie Jean Dunn’s dresser (bottom right drawer, if you care) was taken on or about January 5 – a week after Hailey was reported missing. The computer was taken from Big Spring on December 30 and entered into evidence around January 5 – about five minutes after Shawn’s mom called the cops and told them she was coming to get her computer.…

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio — The body of a missing Ohio mother was found in her mother’s basement today and police are calling her mother’s boyfriend a person of interest.
Tiffany Brown, 26, went missing six days ago while out running errands. I saw a bit of this story on Nancy Grace (shut up) the other day and it seems that after she dropped her two kids off with a neighbor, she vanished.
Her Honda Civic was found parked at an apartment complex with the keys inside, on Monday and it was revealed that on Saturday her cell phone was turned on and a call or text sent to Chicago. An “illiterate” text I remember one of her friends or family saying on the show.
But now Tiffany has been found. While police were interviewing Brown’s mother, Deb Neely, Wednesday night they found some bloody clothing in an upstairs area of her home. After searching further they found Brown’s dead body hidden in the basement where 37-year-old Samuel K. Littleton lived. He is Neely’s live-in boyfriend.…
Continue ReadingColorado City, Texas - Hailey Dunn, 13, has been missing since December 27. We’ve covered the case here and in our forums, with the usual “oh, Mom’s boyfriend” response. I mean, really. You see a few hundred of these and it plays out like variations on a damned theme every time, right? Mom was high, Dad was also kinda high, mom Billie Dunn met 25-year-old Shawn Adkins online, moved him in, Hailey went missing, and now everyone’s all shocked like this shit never happens and Nancy Grace acts like she’s won the lottery. Again. But now we have affidavits and search warrants and new case data, and the case appears to be breaking. Hailey, at this writing, remains missing, and no one has been arrested or charged in her disappearance. Shawn Adkins is a person of interest.
Now, some Myspace pics have come up that show Shawn Adkins flashing the Evil Devil Sign, and one affidavit lists multiple true crime documents printed by Billie Dunn involving serial killers.…
Continue ReadingDid Chainsaw Massacre Role-Playing Lead To Zahra Baker’s Death?
January 6, 2011 at 5:04 am by WandererNewton, NC — As the months pass, more information is coming out about the Zahra Baker case. For those of you who aren’t familiar, this is the case of the 10 year old girl who was reported missing on October 9th after a fire broke out at her father’s home. Zahra had a pretty tough life, losing a leg to leukemia, needing hearing aids in both ears and being abused by her stepmother. There have also been accusations of Elisa’s relatives raping the child before her death. Today more interesting details were released. The stepmother told police the girl actually died on September 24th, 2 weeks before being reported missing. Elisa’s information led police to Zahra’s remains which were scattered around North Carolina. And now it seems as if Elisa’s ex-husband, Aaron Young, may have something to do with the case. Oddly enough, Elisa told her new husband that Aaron was her brother, and according to the warrant, pictures of Aaron with Zahra are on Elisa and Aaron’s facebook pages.…
Continue ReadingBALTIMORE, MD – Here’s the second missing person story about 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes, who has been missing over a week while visiting family in Baltimore.
While visiting three half-siblings during Christmas break, Barnes vanished from the Reisterstown Square Apartments on Dec 28. Unlike the Dunn case below, police in this case do seem to expect foul play. “Detectives are growing increasingly concerned with this disappearance and now suspect foul play, possibly abduction,” police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in an e-mail. “Investigators have no leads.”
Barnes left the apartment to get something to eat and has not been seen or heard from since. She missed her plane back home, left behind personal items in the apartment she was staying, and the cell phone she took with her has not been used since that day. That bit of information is the one that has me thinking this will not have a happy ending.
Readers of this site know that an unused cell phone almost always leads to a missing person investigation turning into a murder investigation.…
Continue ReadingCOLORADO CITY, TX – Good morning, fuckos. I figured I would start out the day by reporting on two missing person cases making the rounds in the news this morning, starting with 13-year-old Hailey Dunn. Nancy Grace is covering this one so you may hear a lot more about her if she doesn’t turn up. Hailey has not been seen since December 27 after telling her mother’s boyfriend she was walking to a friends house to spend the night. She never made it there and oddly, the girl’s house she was supposed to be staying at has stated she wasn’t even aware Hailey was coming over. Hmmm. Police initially thought she may have been a runaway, but are now classifying her as a missing person, but not necessarily an abduction. Colorado City Police, Snyder Police, Mitchell County Sheriff’s deputies, Texas Rangers and the District Attorney’s Office have all joined in the search. Members of her community have even helped raise $10,000 to be used as reward money for anyone who helps bring her back home.…

December 28, 2010 at 10:26 am by MorbidHOUSTON, TX – An Amber Alert was issued Monday for 12-year-old Jonathan Foster. He was last seen around 1:45 p.m on Christmas Eve at the Villa Nueva Apartments where he lives with his mother and stepfather. Shortly afterwards, his mother recieved an emergency phone call at work. “Someone called and said it was an emergency,” said Mary Gifford, the missing boy’s grandmother. “But by the time she picked up the phone, no one was there.” Foster’s biological father and other relatives live within walking distance and Foster often spent time at their homes. His mother called police at 9:30 pm. when she was unable to find him. “I don’t know if it’s an abduction,” said Sgt. Stuart Harris of HPD’s Missing Persons Unit. ”I don’t know if he just walked off. I don’t know if there’s foul play involved. We have no reason to think he’s a runaway. … He’s missing under suspicious circumstances, which is always a major concern for us.” Jonathan has red or auburn hair and blue eyes. He is 4 feet 8 inches to 5 feet tall and weighs about 100 pounds.…
Continue ReadingLAS VEGAS — Seems as if ethnicity doesn’t factor into a missing person’s case if the person missing is a hot Puerto Rican, former Redskin Cheerleader and current cast member of the “Fantasy” show at the Luxor Las Vegas hotel and casino. A slew of news articles are reporting on 31-year-old Debbie Flores-Narvaez who has been missing since December 12. She was last seen leaving her residence at the Onyx Apartments on her way to see her ex-boyfriend, Blu Griffith. Friends and family became worried when she did not arrive at a scheduled rehearsal the next morning. Griffith said that Flores-Narvaez came to visit him that evening, but did not stay long saying she was going to meet some friends. She never met with those friends and her car, a burgundy Chevy Prism, was found abandoned on Thursday in the northeast part of Las Vegas. Reports are her purse was found inside. I’m sure everyone thinks Griffith has done something with her as evident by some of the remarks made by friends and family regarding Debbie’s relationship with him.…
Continue ReadingLAKEWOOD, Wash. – Three men left work together on Sunday and their families have not seen them since. Jesus Bejar Avila, 25; Yazmany Ortiz, 25; and Christian Rangel, 19, carpooled together and after leaving work at Lake Union Wholesale Florist in a 2007 silver Chevy Silverado, they seemed to have disappeared. The three men were briefly seen at a Kent, Washington apartment complex where the vehicle was recovered, but that’s it. Avila called his girlfriend after clocking out with the others at 3:15 p.m. to ask about dinner. ”He just called to see if I would be at the store so I could make something to eat,” says Getsemani Ortiz-Torres. Rangel has a baby on the way and Bejar is married with a little boy. Since Sunday, there has been no activity on any of the men’s cell phones or bank accounts. Before any of you racist douchebags make a comment about it, all three of the men are said to be here legally and do not have criminal records. Kind of messed up you even have to put that information in an article like this, but it is apparent by the comments left on the individual news articles that if you are Hispanic, you must prove you are here legally before anyone will give a shit if you go missing under suspicious circumstances.…

December 14, 2010 at 9:34 am by MorbidGILGO BEACH, NY — Looks like police may have stumbled upon a body dump along an isolated strip of Oak Beach after discovering four bodies there in three days. Nassau County police were in the area on Saturday using a K-9 unit to search for Shonnan Gilbert, 24, who disappeared in May. Gilbert reportedly worked as a prostitute and was last seen after arranging a meeting with a client via Craigslist at nearby Fire Island. While conducting their search, police found the first body, reportedly a female. They came back on Monday and found the second body and then found two more several hours later. The bodies were in various states of decay, two of them reportedly wrapped in burlap sacks. Police were back in the area this morning, but there have been no reports of any other bodies found. The medical examiner is working to identify the remains. Homicide Squad detectives ask anyone with information to contact them at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS. Continue ReadingVANCLEAVE, MS - I haven’t been keeping up with this one much, normally because the Zahra Baker story pretty much filled up my missing, dead kid quota for the last month. But reports are the body of a 3-year-old Chase DeBlase was found Wednesday near Vancleave, Mississippi. The boy had not been seen since March and investigators believe that’s around the time he was killed by his father, John Joseph DeBlase. They believe his sister, 4-year-old Natalie, was killed months later in June when she was last seen. The kicker? They were not reported missing until November when the children’s stepmother, Heather Keaton, told police she feared for her safety and needed protection from DeBlase, who she claimed had probably murdered his children. The children’s biological mother did not have custody because she didn’t have a place to live and says she never reported them missing because she is a shit parent claims DeBlase would not let her. Deblase was arrested Friday and charged with two counts of aggravated child abuse and two counts of abuse of a corpse.…
Continue ReadingAmber Alert Issued For 12-year-Old Brittany Mae Smith After Her Mother Found Dead
December 7, 2010 at 9:21 am by MorbidVirginia — An Amber Alert has been issued for a 12-year-old girl whose mother was found dead inside their home. After 41-year-old Tina Smith had not shown up for work in three days, a co-worker went to her home and found her dead inside. Her daughter, Brittany Mae Smith, was missing along with Tina’s 32-year-old boyfriend, Jeff Easley. Tina met Jeff over the Internet and after some time flirting online, Easley eventually moved in with Smith and her daughter a few months ago. “Police have said that the young lady is in extreme danger,” said Teresa Hamilton Hall, public information director for Roanoke County. Police had originally shown up at the house over the weekend after Smith had failed to show up for work, but found no reasons to break into the home and no vehicles in the driveway. Easley’s red 2000 Chevrolet SUV was located by police but Smith’s car, a silver 2005 Dodge Neon sedan, Virginia tag XKF-2365, is still missing. Police aren’t calling Easley a suspect in Tina Smith’s homicide, or revealing how she was killed, but the alert explicitly names him Brittany Smith’s abductor.…
