Cops: Man Shoots Teen After She Refuses To Give Him Her Last Cigarette

Pittsburgh, PA — Pittsburgh police arrested Lamarr Stephen Marshall, 32, after he shot a 16-year-old girl, identified in a criminal complaint as Lakeisha Lane, because she would not give him her last cigarette.
Lt. Dan Herrmann said Marshall approached the girl at a residence and asked for a cigarette. Lakeisha told police that when she told Marshall no, he pulled out a gun and shot her once in the leg. He then fled.
The girl’s injuries are not considered life-threatening. Police said she is in stable condition at a local hospital.
Marshall was arrested after the shooting and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and illegal possession of a weapon because of his being a convicted felon. He is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail.

SUMMERFIELD, FL — Six people have been arrested and charged with killing a 15-year-old boy, burning his body and then shoveling the ashes into paint cans. This story is just like the one detailed in the movie BULLY, about another group of young geniuses from Florida who murdered a peer, but on a seemingly higher level of retardation.
Police say that 15-year-old Seath Jackson (facebook) received a text message from his 15-year-old ex-girlfriend, Amber Wright (facebook), wanting to get back together. This text was sent sometime after Jackson had declined an offer by Wright to meet her at the home of 18-year-old Charlie Kay Ely.
With this new text, Jackson went to the home and walked right into a trap. He was unaware that he had walked into an ambush by a group of people that included Wright’s new boyfriend, 18-year-old Michael Bargo, a teen he had fought with several weeks prior.
Bargo was at the home with Wright, her 16-year-old brother, Kyle Hooper, and 20-year-old Justin Soto (facebook).…

Chicago, IL — Police have accused a 21-year-old woman from the south side of Chicago of murdering a 40-year-old man because she thought he may have given her an STD.
Ashley Nicole Steele, along with a companion/possible accomplice, reportedly went to the home of Derrick Grey on February 4th. It was there that Steele and Grey argued over the alleged STD sharing. At one point, Grey went into the bathroom and closed the door. This is when police say Steele decided to get her revenge on the victim. She found his gun and opened fire through the closed door.
It isn’t clear if Steele and/or her companion called the police or if it was a neighbor who heard the shots, but police did arrive at the victim’s apartment shortly before midnight. They were unable to gain access to the residence and firefighters had to come and break down the door. Inside they found Grey, face down, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
An autopsy performed later that day determined Gray died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was obviously ruled a homicide. Steele was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with first-degree murder.…

LEANDER, TX – Yesterday, a Leander High School freshman took a gun into one of the school’s bathrooms and fatally shot herself.
None of the students heard a gunshot and were not aware anything had happened until they heard the screaming from someone who went in the restroom and discovered the body of 15-year-old Meagan Allen.
No word yet on why she decided to end her life this way, or where the gun came from, but one news report had students saying Allen was bullied in school, but school officials were quick to point out that at this point, they have no real evidence of that. Over at KVUE, they say a source informed them Allen had told her friends she was going to kill herself. They didn’t believe her so they didn’t say anything to anyone until it was too late.
Not a lot of information on Allen aside from the fact that she was “very active” with the TX-20007 AFJROTC group. I checked out a couple of the obligatory memorial pages created on Facebook earlier this morning, and aside from some trolls who usually show up on pages like that, I didn’t see a lot in way of real friends.…

Phoenix, AZ – Not a lot of information on this one yet, but Phoenix police were reportedly told that a 15-year-old boy was shot at a party over the weekend because he couldn’t hold his liquor.
When police arrived at the apartment complex where the alleged shooting took place, they found the teen had been shot in the stomach…four times.
According to Sgt. Robert Vasquez, there were several underage drinkers partying it up at a house party late Friday night, including the victim. “A couple of the people at the party may have gotten upset with the victim for some reason,” he said. “And, we are being told he was dragged outside and shot.”
The reason? The kid may have committed the ultimate party foul and ralphed in a child’s bedroom. This apparently pissed off a couple of adults at the party and they may have had something to do with the new holes the kid is sportin’ in his belly. Though the teen was still alive and on his feet when police arrived, his condition at this point in unknown.…

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – DJ Megatron, aka Corey McGriff, was found dead with a gunshot wound to his chest. Reports are the 32-year-old was killed while heading to a store near his home at around 2 a.m. on Sunday.
Not gonna lie…I have no earthly idea who this guy is. Hell, I’d only heard of 106th and Park after the news reported on Chris Brown’s appearance on the show following his hissy-fit in his Good Morning America dressing room.
But from what I can gather he was a popular DJ who worked for R&B stations in Boston, Philadelphia and New York’s Hot 97 radio before hosting a segment on the BET show titled “What’s New.” Currently, police have no suspects or witnesses and are asking anyone with any information regarding McGriff’s murder to call CrimeStoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
McGriff had just recently moved into his new home with his longtime girlfriend. He had just celebrated the birth of their 3rd child together.

ANDERSON, S.C. — Police were called to the Sanders Ferry Boat Ramp near Lake Russell on Tuesday morning after a fisherman found two people dead inside a Toyota 4-runner.
The deceased were identified as 36-year-old Jason Sanders and his wife, 23-year-old Candace Sanders, both from Georgia. They had both died from gunshot wounds.
Today Anderson County sheriff’s deputies said they have arrested Jason Sander’s 17-year-old son, Landon Thomas Sanders, and have charged with two counts of murder.
At a news conference, Anderson County Sheriff John Skipper did not reveal a specific motive but did say that there was an on-going dispute between Landon and his parents that ended at the boat ramp when Landon shot his father and stepmother from outside the vehicle.
Police also arrested Danny Wade Scott, 24, and Thomas Riley Madden, 29, charging them both with accessory to both murders.

OCALA, Fla. – Poor Helen Staudinger. All she wanted was a kiss from her 53-year-old neighbor, Dwight Bettner.
She wanted one so bad that she refused to leave his house until she got one. But Bettner rebuked her advances, explaining that he had a girlfriend already and that she needed to get her ass out of his house.
The 92-year-old woman returned home scorned to retrieve a .380 semi-automatic handgun she used to fire four times into Bettner’s home. She told police that she was aiming at the car he loved so much, but all four shots went into the home, one of the bullets missing the man by mere inches.
According to the police report, Bettner told police that he has had ongoing issues with Ms. Straudinger since he moved in six months ago and feels that she is enamored with him. Despite telling Staudinger that he’s in a relationship, she insists he is “supposed to be her man.”
He added that Straudinger even attempted to strangle another woman with whom she thought he was having an affair. Staudinger was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and shooting into an occupied dwelling.…

SAN ANTONIO, Texas. – When a Taco Bell customer found out his Beefy Crunch Burritos were going to cost him $1.49 each instead of 99 cents, he became enraged and began firing a BB gun at the manager through the drive through window.
Apparently the man’s tantrum didn’t stop after firing at the Taco Bell employees as he proceeded to waive a pistol and an assault rifle in the parking lot, according to Police Sergeant Chris Benavides.
Inside the restaurant, employees and customers hit the floor to protect themselves, while the burrito deprived assailant began firing at arriving police cars. Several shots were fired, although it is unclear which gun he used. The man fled to a nearby motel and barricaded himself in a room, coming out only after being forced out with tear gas.
The name of the suspect has not been released because he had not yet been formally charged as of early Monday. Benavides said that the man will be charged with three counts of attempted capital murder, and that additional charges are possible.…

ALGONA, Iowa — You all may not remember Michael Swanson. We reported on the 17-year-old last November after he went on a crime spree that left two female convenience store clerks dead. He’s back in the news today because like his last court appearance, Swanson finds all of this quite humorous.
Swanson was again seen laughing and smirking as he walked into the Kossuth County Courthouse yesterday. The teen was in court as the prosecution and the defense argued on whether or not Swanson should be tried one time for both murders, or tried separately for each.
Swanson’s attorney plans to use an insanity defense in both cases, which may also explain the idiot’s antics in court.
“It is absolutely better for us to try this once instead of twice. It is an all or nothing defense and to do that once is better than having to do it twice,” said Charles Kenville.

St. Augustine, Florida.– Repo men have a much more dangerous job than I previously thought. When not being drug through the streets, they are getting shot at. On Wednesday night a repo man was killed as he attempted to repossess a truck from 51-year-old Jesse Elorde Ramirez.
Wilfred Rivera, 48, and Delbert Charles Power Jr., 31, are the unlucky repo men who got the orders from the bank to repossess Ramirez’s vehicle because of non-payment. When they went to Ramirez’s home Wednesday afternoon, they made it clear that they were there for to repossess vehicle. Ramirez wasn’t keen on this, so he came out of his home with a gun and fired multiple times at the two men.
Deputies were called to the house after reports of gunfire and found one of them men lying next to a tow truck, while the second victim was found moments later in a nearby driveway. Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene, while Power was taken by air ambulance to Shands Jacksonville where he is expected to survive.…

Denver, Colorado – Police in Denver have arrested a 12-year-old boy after his parents were found dead in their home, and two of his younger siblings were found critically injured.
On Tuesday night, the 12-year-old called 911 reporting shots had been fired and that three people in the home had been shot. When police arrived at the home, they found the dead bodies of Charles Long, 50, and his wife, Marilyn Long, 51. They also found a 5-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy suffering from life-threatening injuries. The 12-year-old was uninjured and taken in for questioning.
The two younger children were taken to Kit Carson County Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to The Children’s Hospital in Aurora, where they remained were listed in critical condition yesterday afternoon.
Yesterday they were not calling the young boy a suspect, although he was being questioned and the police told the public they did not suspect a person at large. Today they announced they have arrested the 12-year-old.
“The case has been referred to the district attorney for the filing of formal charges against the 12-year-old,” said Steve Johnson, the assistant director of the Colorado Bureau of Investigation ”There are no other suspects at this time.…

Palatine, IL — Police say a 49-year-old man shot and killed his daughter’s 21-year-old boyfriend before turning the gun on himself after a fight over the family dog.
On Sunday night, Christine Kuemper showed up at the home she once shared with her estranged husband, Edward, in an attempt to retrieve the family dog. Edward denied the request. A short time later, the couple’s teenage daughter arrived with her boyfriend, Bradley Morrison, in the hopes of convincing the man to relinquish the animal. Edward continued to refuse and the quarrel intensified.
The argument took a deadly turn when Edward took his .40-caliber handgun and shot the young man twice in the head. Moments later, he turned the gun on himself. Police found Bradley’s body on the front porch and Edward’s on the front lawn. Both were reported dead at the scene.
“They were a good family, we went to the same church,” said neighbor Bob Waldmann. “There was never any sense of aggression. [Kuemper] never said anything remotely considered negative about anyone.” Other neighbors claim that the tension between Edward and Bradley was apparent.…

Hickory, NC — Police have charged a 19-year-old with murder after a man was killed in what some investigators are calling one of the most bloodiest crime scenes they’ve seen in years.
Early this morning, Michael Anderson, 19, called 911 to report he had shot his roommate, 36-year-old Stephen Starr. When police arrived at the home, they found Starr’s dead body laying on a bed in the front bedroom.
He’d been fatally shot with both a handgun and a shotgun then had his body hacked up with an axe. Not quite satisfied with their handiwork, the killer used a knife to carve words into his body. A pen was used to write even more.
Anderson was taken into custody at the scene and charged with murder this afternoon. He told WBTV’s Steve Ohnsesorge that he was “sorry” to Starr’s family.
Investigators are also trying to determine exactly what the relationship between Starr and Anderson was besides them being roommates. Anderson told police that the two were just friends, but a neighbor said Starr introduced the teen as his son — which he is not.…

Orlando, FL — A 17-year-old boy was admitted to the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies Saturday night after shooting himself in the nuts with a 9mm handgun.
After receiving a 911 call from the teen’s 12-year-old sister, officers arrived at a home in the Peppertree Apartment complex to find the boy suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the testicles. “I shot myself by accident,” the unidentified teen told police. “Get an ambulance.”
The teen reportedly told police he was lying on his bed, watching television and playing around with the pistol when it fired. “I was trying to tie the gun around my leg,” he said. Police said the bullet went through the scrotum and lodged in his right upper thigh.
Officers found a Smith and Wesson on the floor of the teen’s bedroom with five unfired cartridges in the magazine. Authorities are still trying to determine where he obtained the weapon.
The police department is now recommending that the boy be charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a minor and unlawful discharge of a firearm.…

PLACERVILLE, Calif. – The principal of a Northern California elementary school was shot to death by the school janitor yesterday morning, police said.
Sam LaCara, 50, was shot in the torso in his office at Louisiana Schnell School. Arrested at his home without incident was the school janitor, 44-year-old John Luebbers. The shooting was believed to have stemmed from a dispute between the two men. At least one student may have witnessed the attack.
LaCara was taken to a nearby hospital, but would be pronounced dead shortly after 11 a.m. LaCara’s family say that he loved his job and parents stated he did a good job at the school. Some parents told reporters that Luebbers was “grumpy” and often “rude” toward the students.
Teachers and staff say that Luebbers was not fired or laid off, but that he was angry with something that had happened Tuesday. It is also being reported that LaCara and Leubbers were good friends who golfed together. The two even went shopping for a gun together, according to a friend of Leubbers.…

After recieving a phone call from a concerned relative police went to the home of 50-year-old Julie Schenecker on Friday morning. After no one answered the front door, they went around back and found Schenecker on the back porch in her slippers and a bloody robe.
She explained to them that on the day before she was on her way home from picking up her son, 13-year-old Powers “Beau” Schenecker, from soccer practice when she shot him twice in the head with a .38-caliber pistol.…

Spartanburg, SC – In what authorities describe as a calm, controlled, methodical tone, a 14-year-old boy called 911 dispatchers just before midnight on Monday and told them he had just killed his father, grandmother and his great-aunt. In the same tone, he also said he would be waiting for them at the home.
When police arrived at the home, the boy came out of the house with his hands in the air – he was taken into custody without incident. Inside the residence, officers found 44-year-old Joe Robert Lankford dead in his bed – he had been shot once in the mouth. The boy’s great-aunt, 83-year-old Virginia Gaston, had died from a gunshot wound to the forehead. The boy’s grandmother, 80-year-old Rachel Gaston Lankford, was alive, but had been shot in the face. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.
The boy told police he had shot them all with the .22-caliber rifle his father bought him for his birthday last September. Why? When questioned, the boy simply said, “I don’t know.” Spartanburg Public Safety Director Tony Fisher said the teen does not have a history of mental health issues, nor has he had any discipline issues at school.…

Philadelphia, PA – According to Philly police, a 31-year-old male was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital early Monday morning after getting shot in the gut for eating another man’s cake.
Police say two friends were sitting in a vehicle at about 2:40 a.m. on Monday, when the passenger began eating a piece of cake the driver of the vehicle had in his car. This displeased the driver…immensely. Though authorities have chosen to remain tight-lipped on the flavor of the cake in question, I’m assuming it was chocolate because all kinds of hell broke loose. The two began arguing inside the vehicle and I’m sure some rather harsh words were tossed about. The fight continued outside of the vehicle, but quickly ended when the driver reportedly pulled out a gun and shot the alleged cake eater.

Woman Charged After “Accidentally” Shooting Her Hubby In The Baby Maker

Kansas City, MO – An unidentified woman was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault Monday night after police were told she shot her husband in the penis with his own handgun. The unidentified victim, a 50-year-old man, was preparing to drive himself to the hospital when police showed up. He told the responding officers that he had been in the bedroom showing his gun off to the wife while demonstrating how to use the safety. The husband said that as the wife was practicing using the safety, she accidentally fired the weapon, sending hot lead directly into his baby maker. However, a witness reported hearing the couple arguing in the kitchen, with the wife telling the husband, “If you don’t give me my card, I will shoot you.” The witness said she summoned police shortly after hearing a single gunshot. Police said they found a small amount of blood on the floor, but didn’t specify which room. After checking out the man’s injuries, police arrested the 42-year-old wife.…
