WINTER GARDEN, Florida – One lucky family, I think. 48-year-old Rubens Morais and 27-year-old Marcela Borges were home with their 5-year-old son on Sunday when four masked intruders took them hostage. They were all tied up and blindfolded and taken to Apopka. The next day, Borges was forced to withdraw $23,600 from the bank. They were then taken back to their home. Sometime Tuesday, Borges removed her bindings as well as the mask of one of her young, female captors. Not liking that, she reportedly stated “She saw my face and knows who I am. You have to kill her!” Borges, not liking that, jumped from a second-story window. As she ran to a neighbor’s house, one of the captors opened fire on her, hitting her in the side. All four captors then fled the scene. Victor Manuel Sanchez, 20, and Miguel Diaz-Santiz, 25, and Oscar Diaz-Hernandez, 19 have been arrested. The female suspect is still at large.

Tacoma, Washington – Officials with the Pierce County Sheriff’s office and Tacoma and Lakewood Police say that on three separate cases, fast food managers were pulled over by a vehicle with red and blue flashing lights shortly after closing and leaving their restaurants. The two men would approach the car wearing bandanas over their faces, showed guns and then handcuffed the victims. One of the men would take the manager back to the restaurant and force the victim to unlock the doors, open the safe and give them cash. The second suspect then picks up the first. On Oct. 5, 2009, the McDonald’s on Steilacoom Boulevard in Lakewood. Oct. 23, 2009, 3:15 a.m. the Wendy’s on Hosmer Street in Tacoma and on Oct. 25, 2009, the Burger King on Mountain Highway in Graham. But on Sunday, these two changed their game. The robbers stopped the manager of a Lakewood Wendy’s, but she did not have a key to the restaurant. So the pair improvised. They handcuffed her boyfriend who was with her and put him in the trunk then took the woman and raped her.

The men are described as white males, ages 20-25 years old, 5-feet 8-inches tall with thin builds. They wore dark hooded sweatshirts, dark hats, bandanas, and gloves, and have brandished handguns. They drove a dark newer SUV and an older black Honda with tinted windows. This is the car that was equipped with red and blue lights on the dashboard. Police say if you do not feel safe while being stopped by an unmarked car, to slow down and call 911. Police say most officers will understand. And by “understand” they mean, “taser your ass once they get you out of the car.” Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges filed in the case. Richmond, California The homecoming dance took a horrible turn for a 15-year-old girl just prior to midnight Friday evening. When police drove up to Richmond High School about an hour after the dance had ended, they observed several young men fleeing the scene. Upon investigation, they found their 15-year-old victim unconscious and suffering from “different injuries indicating she had been assaulted.” The “assault” is believed to have been a gang rape that lasted for 2 hours. And if that isn’t bad enough, police say there is a high probability of there being video of the assault shot from cell phones. Those images were captured by a group of observers who refused to intervene in any way.

At around 9:30 p.m., the girl was waiting for a ride from her father after leaving the dance. Before he got there a friend from school invited the girl to join a group of people hanging out and drinking in an alley across from the school. The teen joined in on the drinking, but passed out. That’s when the men attacked her. Her father was out looking for her as she was being raped, beaten and robbed. Police believe as many as a dozen people watched the 15-year-old girl being beaten and gang-raped by as many as six others over a two hour period, some even filming the attack on their cell phones. It wasn’t until word of the assault reached someone at the dance that someone finally called 911.

When police arrived at the scene, the attack was still taking place. They witnessed people fleeing the scene. One of those men, 19-year-old Manuel Ortega, was arrested and being held on a $800,000 dollar bond on suspicion of rape, robbery and kidnapping. The girl was found semi-conscious, half-naked and curled up by a lunch table. The victim was air-lifted to the hospital where she was listed in stable condition over the weekend.

Police also responded to Richmond High School Monday, to take into custody a freshman after he reportedly voluntarily surrendered. They have not yet named him as a suspect. The remaining arrests cannot come soon enough. I sure hope to God they catch the other motherfuckers who took part in this, as well as those who heard her screams and/or watched this poor girl get brutally raped.

ALBANY, Oregon – On September 19th, Vidal-Hernandez went to Samaritan Albany General Hospital and told the staff that her friend had given birth to triplets on the side of the road on was on her way there via Life Flight helicopter. Staff went to verify her story, and noticed that she had walked away. The staff began looking for her and located Trinity Vidal-Hernandez at the maternity ward nurses station. She was escorted her off of the floor and the Albany Police Department were contacted. She gave police a similar story and showed them a photo of a newborn infant she claimed that her friend had sent it to her. Albany Police Detectives are now saying that Trinity Vidal-Hernandez’s intent was to steal a baby.

She was arrested yesterday and charged with attempted kidnapping, initiating a false report, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief and has been placed in the Linn County Jail. How did detectives come to this conclusion? Well I am sure a lot of information still hasn’t been made public, but here is what is being reported.

Obviously, the friend having a baby story was fake. Vidal-Hernandez told family members she worked at the hospital as recently as August 2009. During this time, police said Vidal-Hernandez began to spend time at the hospital while wearing scrubs. Investigators say she has displayed similar behavior at other hospitals. In her defense, she states that a nurse over-reacted when the nurse overheard Hernandez talking about a friend’s kids. Also, she worked at a health clinic across the street from the hospital, and that’s why she was seen wearing scrubs.

Vidal-Hernandez is married with three kids of her own, and a neighbor had this interesting jab when reporters asked her about her neighbor. “I would have never guessed kidnapping a kid, especially an infant, when we often wonder how she deals with the ones she has that she doesn’t watch half the time,” Cindy Johnston said.

The investigation is ongoing; anyone with information regarding Trinity Vidal-Hernandez is asked to call Albany Police Detectives at 541-917-7686.

Regardless of what this woman was up to – attempting to snatch an infant or just being really strange – kudos to the staff of Samaritan Albany General Hospital for keeping an eye out and reacting quickly.

WESTMINSTER, Colorado – On September 19th, witnesses inside a Walmart in Westminster say they saw Kevin Salyers sexually assault a young girl, pick her up and try to flee the store. I say “try” because Kevin never made it out of the store. This was due to 22-year-old Cameron Aulner, who was working the Comcast table at the front of the store. He heard people yelling for someone to stop 34-year-old Salyers, but since no one was doing so, he tackled Salyers himself and helped hold him there until police arrived. Oh, forgot to mention, Aulner is in a wheelchair. “It was something that happened so fast, I didn’t even think about it,” Aulner said Tuesday. “I’m not a hero. I just did what you’re supposed to do.” Yeah man, you really did. Read on to check out some video.

This brings up the discussion that rears its head here on occasion. Obviously we have no idea who all witnessed this or what the age and physical capabilities of the bystanders where, so I am will not judge the people who stood around and watched – you know, the other shoppers there who had working legs. But it is interesting to read stories like this and wonder what you would do in a similar situation. Sure we get a lot of gung-ho “I’d do the same thing” type talk (I’m one of those) but do we truly know what we would do when faced with putting our very lives on the line for a stranger?

Austin, TX – He kidnapped the 9-year-old girl as she walked to her school bus stop the morning of September 24th. He threatened her with a knife and forced her into his truck, threatening to cut her if she didn’t stop screaming. When he got the child back to his apartment, he tied her hands with dish rags and stuffed her in a closet. He fed her toast with jelly and some ravioli. After holding the child for most of the day, registered sex offender Charles Butcher let the child go, relatively unharmed and untouched, after she told him, “It’s time for me to go home.” At about the same time the child’s mother was calling police to report her daughter missing, Butcher was releasing the girl. It’s not every day we get a story like this one on the Dreamin’ Demon…

Officers spotted the child about 30 minutes after her mother called 911. According to police affidavits, the child told officers that she had seen Butcher pass her by that morning and return a short time later. He approached her from behind, covered her mouth, lifted her from the ground, and forced her into his truck. She tried to call for help on her cell phone, but Butcher took it and destroyed it. She was able to give a detailed description of her abductor, his vehicle, and his home. According to the arrest affidavit, detectives from the sex offender and registration unit linked Butcher to the kidnapping, but exactly how they made the connection is unclear.

Turns out, Butcher is up to old tricks. Back in ‘91, he was convicted for the aggravated sexual assault of a 9-year-old girl in Korea, where he was stationed in the military. In ‘95, he was convicted of abduction with a weapon in Ohio (Based on a translation of Ohio state law, the offense in Texas would have been solicitation of a minor). Butcher made parole in ‘04 with special conditions that he not be around children. After the ‘91 conviction, Butcher was required to register as a sex offender for life – which he has failed to do. Once this story hit the media, his neighbors started to talk. “He knew every girl’s name in this immediate area,” neighbor Don Rogers said. “He didn’t know any men, but knew every girl and every dog’s name of those girls. It was strange.” Yes Don, that is strange! Strange enough that Don is fixin’ to move now. “When it happens right in your back pocket, it’s something you’re not going to forget for a very long time, a very long time,” he said. Amy Denny occupied the apartment directly under Butcher. “I told my friends when I moved in the first month that if anything happens, check the guy upstairs because he gives me a weird vibe,” she said. Hindsight, and all that…

Authorities also believe Butcher is a peeper. Austin police said that they had received two previous reports that Butcher was peeping through neighbors’ windows – a resident reported a man looking through her windows in August, but police Lt. Mark Spangler said that may not have constituted a crime. Spangler went on to say that while Butcher may have been peeping through windows, it’s not clear whether he was doing it for sexual gratification, which is required for criminal charges under state law. Well, I’m sure he wasn’t doing it because he wanted to check out her interior design skills.

Charles Eugene Butler, 42, was arrested Friday on several traffic violations and is being held on charges of aggravated kidnapping and failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. His bail has been set at $600,000. What do ya say you keep the skeevy bastard in there this time, eh?

LARIMER COUNTY – A little over a week ago, two sisters-in-law were out on a hike along Signal Mountain Trail near the Comanche Peak Wilderness Area. As they were walking, A man wearing gray camouflage clothing and a face mask jumped out of the woods attacked them at knifepoint. “An assailant surprised them – jumped out from behind some trees and put a knife to one of the victim’s throats,” Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said at a news conference on Monday. “It was obvious from the statements that he made as well as from his actions that he intended on committing a sexual assault.” One of the women used her walking stick strike her friend’s attacker. When he turned on her, the other woman attacked him. The man then ran off. Roadblocks were set up and police began searching for the assailant reporting they had a person of interest that night. That person has now been arrested and identified as 38-year-old James Jud Bondsteel of Loveland.

He is facing charges of second-degree kidnapping, criminal attempt to commit a sexual assault, first-degree assault and menacing with a deadly weapon. Kudos to the police department for acting quickly and apprehending this idiot before he tries this dumb shit again and actually succeeds. And congratulations to the ladies as well. It may not always work in every situation, but fighting back just seems to be the best thing to do when a fat dude in a ski mask is trying to rape you in the woods. I wonder if walking sticks will see a sales increase over this?

And fellas, there are much better ways to meet women on these hiking trails. You need to do what I do. I simply put on my Jr. High gym shorts sans underwear, headband and knee-high socks and head out to the local park. I jog in place until a female comes around and I start doing leg exercises like lunges or squats. It only takes a couple times for my testicles to kiss the dirt path before the chick is running like hell – probably to go get a pen to write down her number, or go get her friends so we can hang out – I am not sure, as they always seem to get lost on the way back to me.

Waco, TX – Prisscilla Mechell, 25-year-old wife and mother, had everyone believing she was going to squish out a kid any day. Actually, she was supposed to make that happen last Monday morning, after telling her family that she was scheduled to have labor induced. Oh, happiness and joy! One problem. Prisscilla miscarried about 4 months ago. Ut-oh! Her husband, daughter, family, and friends are all expecting to see a shiny new baby and Prisscilla couldn’t very well just conjure up an infant. Or could she? As luck would have it, a friend of hers had just given birth to a bouncing baby boy just a week ago – maybe she could just borrow that one, or something.

Prisscilla paid a visit to the new mother and baby Monday morning. She kindly offered to watch baby Ryder, while mom, Kourtney Miller, took a nap. After Kourtney dozed off, Prisscilla took off with the boy, drove seven miles to her house, and promptly shaved the kid’s head with a razor to change his appearance. (This is where I picture her gluing a fake mustache on his little lip to further hide his true identity). Knowing that Kourtney was going to wake up and wonder where the hell her spawn got off to, Prisscilla started to freak out. The authorities would certainly know that she had the baby, so, she placed the little guy on the floorboard of her car and started looking for a place to hide him. And hide him she did. She put Ryder in a dumpster behind an abandoned gas station before returning to Miller’s home. Wait….what? Why the fuck didn’t she just take the damn kid back to his mother, cry “April Fool!” and just hope Kourtney had one helluva sense of humor? Well, because, in Prisscilla’s own words, she would “would rather have the baby die than to be caught with him.” What. The. Fuck. Bitch is plain crazy.

The police were still at the Miller home when Prisscilla reappeared without Ryder. Knowing the jig was up, she fessed up, telling deputies where they could find Ryder. There, under some trash and insulation, lay an overheated 1-week-old baby boy, and he was pissed! The deputy who found him said he was crying, hot to the touch, flushed, and had abrasions on both of his tiny knees. Other than that, the kid was in fairly good shape. Ryder was released from the hospital on Wednesday. Prisscilla, who somehow managed to avoid getting a severe beat-down from Ryder’s mom, is now looking at charges of aggravated kidnapping and injury to a child. Bond has been set at $500,000.

Oh, and on top of that, Prisscilla’s husband of five years, Scott Mechell, filed for a restraining order and a divorce. He wants Prisscilla to undergo a psych eval and he wants full custody of their 5-year-old daughter. “I am very concerned that my wife would injure our daughter or would take our daughter and leave the court’s jurisdiction,” he wrote. He is also requesting that Prisscilla have no visitation until after the next court hearing. Bravo, Scott.

Cincinnati, Ohio – Sorry people, I have had a busy day today but I could not let this one go. James Orr, 66,  is on trial for aggravated robbery and kidnapping. On Wednesday a witness had just taken the stand when Orr leaned over to his lawyer, Norm Aubin,  and asked him if he had anything he could eat because he was hungry. Aubin said that he did not. Orr told Aubin that he was hungry again but Aubin simply ignored him. Undeterred, and obviously very hungry, James pulled out his colostomy bag, squeezed the contents out on the defense table – and began eating the contents.

Orr was removed from the courtroom, and Judge Cooper ordered the table washed down. The Sheriff’s office later reported there was shit on Orr’s lips, beard, and hands. But still, no one is buying that he is really crazy. “He’s a con man. He has over 50 aliases and has convictions in Ohio and New York for thefts and robberies,” assistant Hamilton County prosecutor David Prem said, “He’s done just about everything a person can do to avoid justice.” Orr tried to pretend he was insane earlier, but was ordered to stand trial after court mental health workers deemed him mentally sound. Orr faces more than 60 years in prison for the armed robbery of a woman he forced to drive to get money.

BATTLE GROUND, Washington -Another story of a loser jackass trying to abduct a teen girl off a public street and failing miserably. A 15-year-old girl was jogging when a man pulled up beside her in a silver pickup truck and accosted her at gunpoint, telling her to get into the vehicle. She decided she’s rather not and began screaming alerting a neighbor nearby. She broke free and the witness called police, giving a very detailed description of the vehicle and the man who sped off in it. Within minutes the truck was spotted and the driver, Matthew Ortiz, was arrested.

Police say that Ortiz has no record, so without the witness and the details he was able to provide, it would have been tough to make an arrest. And thank they did because 27-year-old Matthew wasn’t playing around. Police revealed some of the contents found in his truck: a knit ski mask, gloves, zip ties, camouflage clothing, a loaded handgun and other items. As we have stated before, it may not work all the time, but if you are ever approached like this you better assume your life is at stake and if you’d like to keep it a while longer, it may be good to fight for it.

Ortiz is in the Clark County Jail on charges of first degree kidnap and first degree assault. Congrats to the teen for saving herself, the neighbor for getting involved, and the Battle Ground Police Department for their quick arrest.

CHESAPEAKE, Virginia. - Here is a nightmare story that had a nice ending. On Thursday, a 15-year-old girl was walking down the 1700 block of Dock Landing when Christopher Scott Little, 33,  pulled his white pickup into a nearby driveway, got out and grabbed her, putting her into his vehicle. At some point, Christopher stopped the vehicle and the teen jumped out. Christopher gave chase and tried putting her back in the truck, but she was able to flee and alert police. She gave them a description of Christopher, his vehicle AND the license plate number. He was picked up a short time later and with the teen’s identification, charged with one count of abduction by force..

Little is a complete stranger to the teen and to possibly show how close this story could have turned into something even more horrific, Little was convicted in January 2007 in Hanover County on two counts of carnal knowledge of a child, according to the Virginia State Police sex offender registry. Kudos to the teen for not only taking her life into her own hands, but having the state of mind to remember all the info needed to get this creepy motherfucker off the streets.

UNION COUNTY, GA- I didn’t put this one up initially because it sounded so brazen an act that I thought for sure it would have been solved by now. But as some of you have heard or read, Kristi Cornwell, 38, was taking a walk last Tuesday at around 9 p.m. While talking on the phone with her boyfriend she stated a car was pulling up to her. The boyfriend then described sounds of her screaming and sounds that led him to believe she was being kidnapped. Some of her personal items were found at the scene, her cell phone recovered 3 miles away on Friday. 150 registered sex offenders have already been interviewed as well as some ex-husbands. Witnesses reported a white, Suburban-type SUV and a tan or gold Toyota or Nissan compact car in the area at the time of the abduction. Anyone with any information that could help in the case is asked to call the Union County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 706-835-2902 or 706-835-2900.

Bridgeport, CT- On July 26, two 22-year-old women were leaving an apartment building after visiting a friend when 27-year old Joshua Gonzalez allegedly showed them a handgun and forced the women inside his apartment. Gonzalez ordered the women to hand over their cell phones. Then, and this is where the shit gets freaky, Gonzalez brought out two formal prom dresses and nylon stockings and told the women to put them on. When the women refused, Gonzalez handed them a black book and told them to write their complaints in it.

Gonzalez then allegedly handed one of the ladies several bullets and ordered her to hold the ammunition. He informed them that his skeevy plan was to re-create a scene from a fetish movie, “The Stocking Secret.” Both women pleaded with Gonzalez to let them leave, and that was when he allegedly forced them to lie on a bed on either side of him and fondle him while he touched them.

About 45 minutes later, the women said Gonzalez held a gun on them and forced them to watch him take a shower. When Gonzalez finally allowed the women to leave, they immediately called police. Joshua Gonzalez now faces two counts each of first-degree kidnapping with a firearm, unlawful restraint, fourth-degree sexual assault, reckless endangerment, threatening and one count of criminal possession of a firearm. He plead not guilty to multiple charges on Tuesday, requested a jury trial, and a judge continued the case to Sept. 15.

Phoenix, AZ – Thursday was quite a day for Salvador Medina. At 9:00 a.m. that morning, he was released from prison after serving time for sexual abuse/dangerous crimes against children. He was given a ride to meet with his parole officer, went through the out-process, was issued a GPS ankle monitor, and was back on the streets by noon. Just hours after his release, Medina was up to his old tricks. And, shortly after midnight, back in police custody. After he departed the PO’s office, he managed to remove his ankle bracelet. At 4:00 p.m., he accosted three sisters, ages 15, 15, and 11, coming out of a department store. He watched as the girls got settled in the car – then he made his move. He allegedly forced his way into the car, threatened the 15-year-old driver with a pair of scissors, and demanded she drive out of the area. And, so she did.

When they arrived at the area of 27th and Baseline, Medina allegedly sexually assaulted both teen girls. He threatened to kill their younger sister if they didn’t co-operate. Five hours later, he ordered the driver to return him to Central and Baseline – he then let them leave. He wasn’t quite finished with his crime spree though. About 15 minutes later, Medina noticed a couple of women with a toddler getting into a car. He allegedly approached the women and demanded money. When he was refused, Medina grabbed the toddler from the back seat of the car and threatened to kill him if they didn’t hand over the cash. He got a few bucks and ran off. Right after midnight, Medina called the police. He told them someone was following him and he felt his life was in danger. Officers arrived, took in the fact that Medina matched the description of the suspect in the sexual assaults and robbery, and arrested the skeevy, no-good, bastard. Salvador Medina, 29, was booked into jail and charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault, multiple counts of sexual assault, and multiple counts of kidnapping. This time, guys, how ’bout you house the fucker under the jail.

About that GPS bracelet. Why wasn’t he busted before he could kidnap, rape, and rob? According to the Arizona Dept. of Corrections: “This GPS tracking system monitor is designed to notify the parole office electronic monitoring device by e-mail if an offender has gone beyond the range of the offender’s residence between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.”

Austin, TX - Margarita Niño had told those closest to her, including the one man brave enough to mount the beast – her boyfriend, that she was expecting a little bundle of joy. On the day the blessed event was to occur, Margarita informed everyone that she was off to the hospital to squish out a new kid and she was gone. On the way to the hospital, Margarita made a detour. You see, before she could return to her family with a shiny new baby, she first needed to find one. Yes, Demonites – Margarita wasn’t full of baby, she was full of shit. But, as luck would have it, she already had a couple victims in mind – Blanca Zacarias and her 12-day-old son. Margarita had met Blanca through a mutual friend just days earlier and put her diabolical plan in motion. She would drug Blanca, kidnap her and the child, kill Blanca, dump her body, and raise her child. What could possibly go wrong?

The first couple steps in her evil little plan went off without a hitch. Margarita met with Blanca and served the new mother some drugged up tea. When Blanca was sufficiently out of it, Margarita loaded her and the baby into her car and headed for the border. Good thing Margarita has a big mouth and a lead foot.

While driving to Mexico with her captives, Margarita called a friend and informed her that she was going to drop Blanca off a bridge. Strike one. Before Margarita made it to the border, she was pulled over for speeding. Strike two. The officer, not knowing that Blanca and her child had been kidnapped, and Blanca being drugged up and unable to inform him of the hambeast’s plan, issued Margarita a citation and let her go. Because Blanca lacked identification and immigration documents, she and her child were detained and handed over to immigration authorities. Once the drugs wore off, Blanca was able to relay to officials that she had been drugged and kidnapped. She and the baby were taken to the hospital for examination and released. Both mother and son are safely back home in Austin. Authorities were able to track down Margarita and arrest her. Strike three, bitch. Margarita Niño, 40, has been charged with two counts of third-degree kidnapping. Bail was set at a measly $1,000 per count.
