Columbus, OH – She pulled up at Burlington Coat Factory in a Hummer stretch limo on Tuesday. She claimed that she had won $1.5 million in the lottery and dammit, if you wanted a new coat or some clothes, she was buying, as long as you didn’t spend more than $500. She told customers to call their friends and family – get ‘em down here and get ‘em some free clothing – she’d be there with her money until the store closed. And come, they did. One customer said she didn’t need clothes, but needed help with rent. The newly rich philanthropist didn’t even blink as she wrote the check. The customers were piling in – there were about 500 wandering through the aisles and getting their purchases tallied, and there were about 1,000 people outside the store waiting to get in. And everyone got a two new outfits and coats and lived happily ever after – their faith in the kindness of their fellow man restored. The end. Ha! Yeah right. This is the Dreamin’ Demon, fuckers.

Linda Brown

Yes, Linda Brown was offering something for nothing. “I won the lottery for half a million dollars,” she said.  “I don’t want any of it and that’s why I am here at Burlington.” She whipped out her debit card to pay for the merchandise that had been rang up at that point. The card maxed out at $5,000. No big thing. She told everyone that she was going to hit up the ATM and return with the rest of the money shortly. Customers and management alike waited in anticipation. And waited. And waited. Linda Brown didn’t come back. Oh yeah, and Linda Brown didn’t win the lottery.

The customers finally realized they had been had and they were none to thrilled. Promised free stuff, they wanted their free stuff. A riot broke out. People started tearing shit off the racks and throwing it around. People were walking out of the door with shopping carts full of stolen merchandise. The limo driver, when he realized Brown wasn’t going to be coughing up the $900 she owed him, turned her in to police.

Linda Brown, 44, was arrested on three outstanding warrants for aggravated menacing, misuse of a 911 system and causing false alarms. No charges have been filed against her for the clothing hoax pending a mental health evaluation. She could be charged with inducing panic and fraud.

Police said they have no way of tracking down the customers who stole items and fled, but they’re reviewing surveillance video.

Phoenix, AZ - A word of warning to all of my Demon friends that possess a peter – please, take a minute to study the mugshot attached to this story. If you, or any of your manly body parts, have had any contact with the beastly oaf, authorities in Arizona and California would like to have a word with you. Furthermore, if you allowed this man to give you a thorough physical and make off with a smidgen of your semen in the hopes of getting some cash, well, you’re screwed! (Literally and figuratively). The man’s name is Jeffrey Graybill, but those who have been screwed may know him as Dr. Robert Richardson. Graybill allegedly set up an ad on Craigslist offering to pay Caucasian and Latino suckers men between the ages of 18 – 25 as much as $4,000 to be sperm donors for stem cell and/or other research. And wouldn’t you know it? He got ‘em to bite – hook, line, and sinker.

Graybill’s spiel was this: He was “Dr. Richardson,” a fertility doctor soliciting sperm donors for the nonexistent Fertility Clinic of West Los Angeles. After receiving a response to his Craigslist ad, the Dr. would communicate with the cash-strapped donor by telephone or e-mail before scheduling a physical examination. These exams would take place in either the victims homes or the Dr.’s apartment. Wait….what? One would assume that if one is undergoing a physical examination and bodily fluids are involved, one would want to be in a sterile environment. Like, say, a fertility clinic? He offered his patients a 3-page printout full of FAQ’s about sperm donation – the packet also warned informed the patient that the examination could take up to two hours to perform. The Dr. went one step further in making himself look the part – he actually carried a black medical bag. And the bag had a stethoscope in it! Ahhhh…I see. Anyone carrying a stethoscope and a black bag is totally trustworthy. Carry on…

The physical examination was thorough – a couple of his victims stated that Graybill insisted on examining their genitals before he would accept them as sperm donors. And, seeing as how one of the charges against him is sexual penetration with a foreign object, I’m guessing he did a bit more than just fondle their junk. After the exam, he collected his semen sample and essentially told the men, “The check is in the mail,” or some shit like that.

Several victims in the Los Angeles area filed a police report after they didn’t receive any cash. They even went looking for the good doctor, but investigators discovered that Graybill moved his ‘practice’ to Phoenix in July ‘09. Authorities in Phoenix believe he may be pulling the same scam in their state. It has been confirmed that, so far, Graybill has as many as 25 victims, including the real Dr. Robert Richardson, who’s identity Graybill borrowed.

Jeffrey Graybill, 40, was arrested on Thursday and charged with numerous felonies, including practicing medicine without certification, identity theft, sexual penetration with a foreign object, and sexual battery by fraud. Bail has been set at $590,000. I don’t even wanna know what he did with all those *gag* samples.

Paducah, KY- Like many parents, it just kills me when my kids get sick. Every time, I wish I could whip out a magic wand and make their aches and pains disappear. I cannot even begin to imagine the enormous amount of helplessness some parents feel when they learn their child has a tragic illness and may die. The courage and strength it takes for them to somehow get through each day without breaking down amazes me. In January, Karen Clark informed a news crew at the Ronald McDonald House at Kosair Children’s Hospital that her 12-year old daughter was dying of cancer. “We’ve been here at least every month since last January,” said Karen Clark to the reporter. “It’s been a hard road but she’s making it. She’s very positive so we do okay with it.”

Everyone who knew Clark…friends, family, grandparents, and even members of their church believed her daughter was dying. Hell, even her daughter believed it because her mother told her she was. Clark explained to the reporters that she was a single mom who could not work because of all the care her daughter needed. That was when the monetary gifts started pouring in. Her daughter’s Sunday School raised nearly $1000 dollars and some people paid her rent and utilities. But it was all a lie. A lie so extreme that the Bitch informed several people that her daughter’s care was palliative and that hospice was going to be called in. Clark even called some people about participating in the child’s funeral.

It was a police officer who had to inform Clark’s daughter and her daughter’s grandparents that she was not dying of cancer. Officers confronted Clark on July 30 and she confessed that it was all a story that she made up to get attention. She denied doing it for money, but she did accept the monetary gifts. She said that it was just a small lie that grew into a bigger one. The lie started when her daughter had gone to Kosair Children’s Hospital for some tests and that’s when she began telling people the girl had cancer. Kosair cannot disclose any information about the girl’s medical condition other than the child did not have cancer and is not terminal. The Ronald McDonald House was not aware of the situation either and found out when they were notified by reporters. Clark is now charged with a felony that could carry 5 years in prison and police say more charges may come as they discover more people who donated money to the lying Ham-witch.

Brooklyn, NY - This story has been going on a few days now, but after seeing the video, I HAD to post it. Thomas Prusik’s mother died back in 2003 – natural causes I am assuming as no foul play is being reported – but that didn’t stop Thomas from collecting her Social Security checks. By reporting a bit of false info to the funeral director, Thomas was able to continue receiving the checks and simply dressed up as his dead mother to cash them even going as far as renewing her drivers license in April – dressed as her. But his scam went further than just social security and also involved some million dollar property as well. Officials state this scam netted him $62,000 in Social Security payments and $65,000 in state rent subsidies. Think I’m kidding? Read on for more details, and a video of him in action. 

As you saw, this guy pulled this off for SIX YEARS. That’s dedication to your craft right there. But the government doesn’t look too kindly to people dressing up like dead people to rip them off, so Thomas, 49, is looking at 25 years or more with the 47 counts of grand larceny, forgery and conspiracy charges he got nailed with. Another man, Mhilton Rimolo – reportedly the dead woman’s nephew – has also been arrested accused of helping Thomas pull off the scam. Thomas reportedly had a coffin in his living room when Ciy marshals went to evict him and had even made up a son and a nephew.

But make no mistake, this guy is no Norman Bates, no matter how creepy his actions seem. This guy was running a pretty good scam, even if it was a bit TOO ballsy. Almost conning a million dollars on top of the thousands he had already received over the years and fooling bureaucrats, banks, lawyers, mortgage brokers and title company representatives along the way. I am not condoning what this guy and his accomplice have done, so don’t take this next comment the wrong way, but I am real curious as to how much time he is about to get compared to some of the drunk drivers who kill people, or child molesters we have featured on the site.

Huntington Beach, CA- Yvonne Jean Pampellonne, 30, wanted some new ta-ta’s. The implants she had done 10 years ago were getting a little old and saggy. Yes, sometimes gravity just plain sucks. I’m in the market for a new set of hooters as well, but I’m not about to follow in Yvonne’s crooked footsteps.

In September 2008, a woman named Cindy Payne went to the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery in Huntington Beach for $15,000 worth of cosmetic surgery. She had liposuction and a breast implant done to make her fun-bags a little more fun.When Cindy failed to return for her follow-up appointment, the doctors at the Pacific Center became concerned. They tried to call her, but her phone had been disconnected. When they received a phone call from a very angry man wanting to know why they were charging his  credit card $15,000, the doctors realized they had just been robbed by the boob-bandit.

The facility contacted authorities and soon discovered that the name and social security number Cindy had given them were as fake as her boobies. Not about to be scammed by this sexy swindler, the doctors decided to do some detective work on their own. After all, they still had Cindy’s old melons.

Apparently, implants have identification numbers that physicians keep records of. Using physician forensics, the doctors checked Cindy’s old implants for the lot and style numbers encoded on each side. Then they ran a search on the numbers and found there was only one plastic surgeon who used both of those numbers. After police provided a photo line-up to the doctors, they were able to identify their cleavage crook who’s real name is Yvonne Jean Pampellonne.

Huntington Beach Police issued a $20,000 arrest warrant for Yvonne Jean Pampellonne. Pampellonne surrendered with her attorney in court Tuesday and was released on $20,000 bail. She will be arraigned May 27 in a Westminster courtroom on charges of commercial burglary, grand theft and identity theft.

If only Pampellonne had known there are other ways to get some new knockers without breaking the law. The money goes directly to the doctor performing the plastic surgery.

Aaron Flynn

On March 13, after a subsequent traffic stop, Aaron Flynn, 26, was stopped in Newton County driving a 1993 Geo Tracker registered to Ricchio. It was found that Flynn had a suspended license. The vehicle was seized and Flynn was arrested. When officers questioned Flynn about why he had Ricchio’s vehicle, he stated he had been living with Ricchio, on and off, and had done some work for her. He said he had not seen her since Monday. Flynn posted bond and was released that same day.

The following day, police were alerted by a family member that another vehicle of Ricchio’s, a Ford Taurus, was seen at a home in Newton County. Officers investigated the car at the residence and discovered both human blood and hair residue in the trunk. Aaron  Flynn was found inside the home. He was taken in for further questioning and during the interview police questioned Flynn about $300 that was missing from the victim’s bank account after her disappearance. Flynn gave the police a false alibi of how he obtained the money and he was arrested for theft.

The next morning Flynn said he wanted to talk to the detectives and said that he believed he knew where Ricchio’s body was. Flynn took police to a wooded area in north Newton County, a private farm in Sumava Resorts, and there Ricchio’s body was discovered in a shallow grave covered with sticks.

Also arrested were two cousins, Chris Henderson, 30, and Matthew Henderson, 23. Flynn was friends with both of them and police believe they were with Flynn on the day of Ricchio’s disappearance. They got in the car knowing that Ricchio was in the trunk.

After the autopsy, officials stated Ricchio died from blunt force trauma to the head and neck.What investigators believe happened is that Ricchio was pushed to the ground and a shovel was placed at her throat. Someone then stepped on the shovel. Investigators are still trying to determine when Ricchio was killed, but believe she was killed on the farm where her remains were found. Just the thought of someone being murdered like that, especially by someone they knew…chills me to the bone.

Aaron Flynn, who was initially charged in Jasper County with theft, forgery, criminal confinement, fraud and kidnapping, is now being charged with felony murder in Newton County with his bond set for $110,000. If convicted, Flynn could get 45 to 65 years in prison and fines of up to $30,000. Christopher and Matthew Henderson are being held in the Newton County Jail on charges of aiding a criminal.

As Flynn was being escorted by officers into court last Friday, he said loudly to the press, “Put in the newspaper that I’m sorry.”After being read the charge and possible punishment in the courtroom that day, Flynn said he would plead not guilty. Before leaving the courtroom, Flynn hugged his mother and told her he loved her. Boo-fucking-hoo baby huey!

R.I.P. Rosalba Silvana Ricchio

Redwood City, CA - On whom do you rely?  I mean, if everything in your life were to fall apart and you needed someone to help you when you were no longer able to help yourself, who would you turn to?  For me, it would be family.  Whether I needed a loan or a place to stay, there are a number of people who I know would help out, whether or not they’d be happy about it!

Amelia Ramirez knows no such comfort.  Amelia is a 58-year-old woman with the mental capacity of a 5-to-8-year-old.   Her loving and devoted brother and sister took her in and promised to take care of her, but it seems as if they forgot how vulnerable she is somewhere along the way.  Well, that, and they liked getting her monthly disabilty checks quite a bit.

It all started when police received a call on November 18 about a teenager brandishing at knife at a home on MacArthur Avenue.  While police were taking a look around, they happened upon Amelia Ramirez in the backyard, shivering in a thin nightgown.  She had trouble answering their questions, but it turns out that while Bertha Cano Lozano, 45, and her brother Jesus Cano Ramirez, 53, were living in their 3-bedroom house with their 7 pit bulls and Bertha’s 16-year-old daughter (she of knife-brandishing fame), Amelia was living on the dirty, concrete floor of an 8-by-12 foot shed in their back yard.  That’s the shed up in the picture at the top.  Looks comfy, no?

She had a single mattress on the floor, one thin blanket, a lamp, and a small heater with a frayed cord.   What she did NOT have were running water, a TV, a radio, books, etc.  It was pretty much one mentally-incapacitated woman left to rot in a shed.   The family claims she was happy out there, and that she had a Barbie doll and a coloring book for entertainment.  I know that would make me ever-so-much happier in that situation, and I’m sure Amelia would have expressed her appreciation if only she had the mental capacity to do so.

Apparently, Amelia has been living in that shed for 20 years.  Yes, that’s T-W-E-N-T-Y years.   And in a surprising twist, her siblings have been cashing and keeping Amelia’s monthly Social Security checks the whole time.  Furthermore, the prosecution contends that the theft extended to her share of the home which the three siblings equally inherited and from which she was excluded.    A nurse argued at a hearing on December 3 that Amelia Ramirez does not have the mental capacity to understand the theft of her benefits or inheritance.   Doesn’t it warm the cockles of your heart this holiday season?  I’m not entirely sure what cockles are, but mine are all atingle.

Bertha Cano Lozano and big brother Jesus Cano Ramirez have both been charged with elder neglect.  Bertha has also been charged with embezzlement of an elder by a caretaker.  Both have pleaded not guilty to all charges, and remain in custody in lieu of $250,000 bail.  They appeared in court on December 3, where the defense argued that their crimes were being overblown, as they did not participate in activity likely to produce great bodily injury or death.  The smart judge saw it otherwise, and declined to lower bail or drop any charges.  Both are scheduled to return to court December 18 to enter a Superior Court plea and set a trial date.

Amelia is in the care of Adult Protective Services.  I hope the strangers responsible for her will see that she gets some warm clothes, a proper bed, and a little TLC, since her family never did.

Burney, CA - In November of 2007, Joyce Guzman’s 21-year-old son, Lance Cpl. Kyle Guzman, an Iraq war veteran, was killed by accident during a training exercise. Guzman wasn’t alone when she received word of his death. She had her half sister there to support and help her through this trying time.  But the offer of help from her half sister, Carol Ann Damico, 33, and Damico’s boyfriend, Raymond R. Brogan, 41, was definitely not the kind of help she had in mind.
Rather than help Guzman, they helped themselves. Damico and Brogan have been charged in Sacramento federal court with stealing nearly $200,000 in life insurance benefits. They are accused of using the money for their own benefit including buying two boats, a motorcycle and a boob job.

The day after the funeral, the couple conned Joyce Guzman into signing legal documents saying they would handle the paperwork and other affairs that needed tending to. Damico assured her that Guzman should not worry, Brogan would take care of everything, including her bills. A relief for the grief stricken mother.

Several months later, Guzman became suspicious. Any one of a number of things might have tipped her off. Perhaps it was Damico’s newly expanded bustline? Their new furniture? The couple’s joint MySpace has any variety of things that may have been clues: motorcycle, jet skis, a couple of cars and trucks, vacations and day trips. Their MySpace sites makes it clear they have many toys and times they’ve enjoyed since they took over Guzman’s affairs. Enough to make anyone wonder.

When Guzman questioned Brogan, he feigned indignation and insisted he was acting in her best interest by investing her money. She demanded proof and was shown a statement of a trust account that had been established in her name with a balance over $177,000.

Joyce Guzman was apparently not convinced. When authorities became involved, her accounts were examined and the statement scrutinized. The “trust fund” did not exist and checks drawn on Guzman’s account were forged or misappropriated to Damico and Brogan. Brogan’s past also came to light as prior convictions for burglary, transportation of a controlled substance, insufficient check funds, domestic violence and assault with a deadly weapon.

Damico and Brogan made appearances before a U.S. Magistrate Judge who advised them of the charges, penalties and their rights. He ordered Brogan held without bail, given his lengthy criminal record and the circumstances of this case. He ordered Damico released to the custody of her mother with a $50,000 unsecured bond, on the condition that she live with her mother.

What should have been an act of love and concern for a family member has turned into a selfish act that brings more grief. One thing that can’t be taken from Joyce Guzman is the love and pride she has for her son. There should be no such consideration for Damico and Brogan. I wonder if they will make her return the implants?
