EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND – I don’t know what’s going on in Edinburgh at the moment, but in all my time trawling the sordid mass we call the internet, never have I regretted clicking on a link as much as I did when I discovered this story. Francis Murphy, 26, wasn’t best pleased that his girlfriend of 10 years dumped him for another man, so turned up at their home, attacked the man and then tried to gouge out her eye with his thumb and fingers. The victim, 27-year-old Natalie Farrell, passed out when Murphy started choking her. When she woke up, her eyeball was hanging by the optic nerve, resting on her cheek. He used a metal coat hanger to do the deed. This not being revolting or damaging enough for Murphy, he ripped off the eyeball and chucked it out the window, where a neighbor later found it laying in the street. The Judge who sentenced him told Murphy, “You were convicted of crimes which are almost medieval in their barbarity, which would make any right thinking person recoil in horror. ” Recoil? I had to leave my desk after reading the story and I’m hardly what you would describe as “right-thinking.”  Murphy reckons he remembers nothing of it. I reckon he’s a savage nutcase who deserves far more than the 12 years in jail he’s been sentenced.

Tampa, FL – What the hell is it with all the fire here on the Dreamin’ Demon lately? It seems like Morbid just posted a story about a cowardly asshole setting fire to his significant other and here we are with yet another one. Demonites, meet Christopher Hanney. Authorities report that on November 17, after the two argued, Hanney allegedly attacked his estranged wife, Audrey Mabrey – first clubbing her in the head with a hammer before dousing her with lighter fluid and lighting a match. Witnesses report seeing Audrey run from her home, engulfed in flames, to the safety of a neighbor’s house. Audrey, a 26-year-old mother of two very young children, is now hospitalized in critical condition with burns to over 80% of her body. When police arrived on scene, Hanney, 44, was found in the backyard, suffering from burn wounds as well. He was released from the hospital the following day and taken into custody. Hanney, a former New York police officer, is being held without bail on charges of attempted murder in the first-degree.

This isn’t the first instance of domestic violence in the couple’s marriage – a domestic violence report was filed on the 20th of October and a warrant was issued. In that incident, Audrey reported that Hanney had gotten violent with her and had tried to rape her. The case was never prosecuted because Audrey gave conflicting reports about the incident. She told friends and family that she was scared of Hanney, but stated that she couldn’t afford to leave him. The two continued to live in the same home, but shared separate bedrooms.

Audrey’s parents are doing what they can to raise enough money to travel from Texas to Florida to be with their daughter and care for their grandchildren. A trust fund has been set up for the Audrey and her kids – those interested can go to any Bank of America and tell them you want to donate to the Audrey Mabrey and Children fund.

New Haven, Connecticut – More information on the story about Howard Stewart setting is girlfriend, Christina Lee, on fire. Police released the 911 call for one, in which you can hear Lee screaming that Stewart was setting her daughter on fire. No regard for her injuries, just wanting help for her daughter. There is also info on what led to the attack. The couple were arguing about bills and the fact that the 12-year-old who escaped with no injuries, told her mother the night before that Stewart had been touching her private parts. The little girl got lucky as she woke up as Stewart was pouring a flammable liquid on her and saw Stewart tossing a match on her. She was able to run out with her 3-month-old sister. Lee suffered burns on 40 percent of her body and remains in critical condition.

The New York Post is reporting that Diana Falzone filed a police complaint last Tuesday, after Anthony Michael Hall, 41, allegedly attempted to kick down her door and then bashed her head against the wall when she finally let him in. She was granted a temporary restraining order in Manhattan Family Court on Thursday. Falzone claims the Hall’s harassment was going on before the head-bashing incident and the order states  Hall must “refrain from assault, stalking, harassment . . . menacing, reckless endangerment . . . intimidation.” Hall, who suffers from bi-polar disorder, will appear at a hearing next week. His lawyer says all the allegations are bullshit. Falzone is a Sirius radio personality and relationship expert for The Huffington Post. Her last column was titled “How Not to Date a Loser“.  I had no clue who Falzone was until now, but after checking out some pics I am here to say that Holy Shucking Fit she is pretty hot. Not that that’s an excuse for Hall to be stalking her – if he is – but it sure explains things.

Moscow – I was gonna post this earlier, but was waiting on more information. Captain-Lieutenant Nikolai Zakharkin, 31, suspected his common-law wife, Irina Lapuzina, 27, was cheating on him when she did not return home one night. So after drinking heavily, he sent her a chilling text message stating, “You can say goodbye” to her 8-year-old twin daughters, Dasha and Katya. He then threw both of them off of their eight-story balcony. Unbelievably, both girls survived because of the trees they fell through and not landing on pavement but as you can imagine, they both got pretty tore up. Katya, who was asleep when she was tossed, suffered a ruptured spleen. Dasha suffered serious concussion, five broken ribs, a ruptured liver and a possible backbone injury. Zakharkin has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. Wishing the girls a quick recovery and wanted to note that I love Russian names. The female names usually sound like sexy spies and the males always sound like videogame villains.

GERMANTOWN, Wisconsin - 37-year-old Charles Avey, Sr. walked into the sheriff’s department admitting that he had strangled his 14-year-old step-son to death. He was not lying. Police found Cody Reetz dead in a minivan parked in a Wal-mart parking lot. The motive? He was mad at his wife and wanted her to suffer like he says she has made him suffer. Police feel Avery’s actions were in response to domestic abuse charges his wife had filed on him stemming from a hammer attack. Court records show Avery has five felony counts pending against him, has a history of writing bad checks and a former wife filed a restraining order against him. Germantown police are recommending a first-degree intentional homicide charge and state the killing was premeditated. The sad thing about these types of stories is that Avery will get exactly what he wanted. If I were the mother of Cody, or the biological father, I would be technically insane at this point.

NICHOLS HILLS, Oklahoma – Details are scarce at the moment, but police have arrested Dr. Stephen Wolf, 51, on suspicion of killing his 9-year-old son, Tommy Wolf. Numerous 911 calls were made by his wife, Mary Wolf. One from a neighbor’s home and then two more from inside the Wolf home. When police arrived at the scene,  they found Mary with defensive wounds to her face and hands and Tommy dead at the scene. No word on cause of death, although Wolf had to be disarmed by arriving officers – reports are that it was a knife. No word on what started the altercation, but police believe that it started in the boy’s bedroom. Dr. Wolf has practiced medicine for 17 years and Tommy was a 3rd-grade student at Christ the King Catholic School.

SUMTER COUNTY, Florida – Denise Textor, 59, was charged with attempted first degree murder after shooting her husband twice in the chest with a .38-revolver while he was taking a shower. Dennis was able to escape the home through the bathroom window and call 911 from a neighbor’s home. He was airlifted to the hospital where he was in stable condition on Friday night. Married for 17 years, the couple had retired to Florida from New Jersey where Dennis was an assistant chief law enforcement officer and Denise was a detective. While police where trying to get her to come out of the house, a possible motive for the shooting was revealed. Denise told investigators she could not take Dennis Textor’s controlling ways any longer. Congrats Denise, you don’t have to worry about that any longer.

FLEMING ISLAND, Florida - When Dana Whitelaw, 47, got out of the shower Tuesday morning, she found her entire family dead. Her husband, Jerry Whitelaw, 49, had shot their two children — 16-year-old son, Kevin, and 11-year-old daughter, Katy — while they slept. He then turned the gun on himself. Court records show that Dana had filed for divorce in late August after 16 years of marriage, but continued to live together during the process. Police have no records of ever having to go to their residence in the past. Kevin was a junior at St. Johns Country Day in Orange Par, Katie attended Grace Episcopal. I think what makes this particular murder-suicide is the blatant purpose behind it. Jerry wanted Dana to live after this, knowing it was the best possible way to hurt her. Kill her kids, then let her live with that fact. Absolutely horrifying in its cold-blooded callousness. I can not possibly imagine anything my wife could do to me that could have me killing my own kids to get back at her. That is signs of one very, very selfish man – or one that is extremely mentally disturbed.

Mountain Home, Arkansas Armed with a face only a mother could love, a criminal past, and an axe, Jason Marshall pretty much fucked up his parole. Monday, police received a couple of distressed phone calls regarding a domestic disturbance, the second of which the victim stated she and her children were able to escape their abuser but needed medical attention. An ambulance was dispatched to intercept the patients, Elizabeth Marshall (41) and her 9-year-old son at an intersection and they were transported to a nearby hospital.

The big question here: WHY? Perhaps better asked: HOW? Seriously, Jason, who’s 29-years-old, had a colorful background of domestic abuse which landed him in prison once before. It’s not clear if Elizabeth is the same wife that was attacked with a knife previously – if so – maybe lessons aren’t easily learned there in Mountain Home. I could possibly see sticking around after that if he were the catch of the century and it’s hard to imagine that being the case here.

Jason is accused of whooping up on Elizabeth and then, as her 9-year-old son was coming to her rescue, Jason allegedly picked the child up and slammed his head against the wall. As they were fleeing, Jason picked up and threw an axe, just missing Elizabeth and striking her car. I doubt that story was hard for the police to swallow because when they arrived at their home, Jason put up a little protest and had to be tasered. I’m wondering, if when he was going after the cops, any of them looked at him and thought, “IT IS ALIVE”. I may have shit my pants.

And even though there was another throw-down in the booking area of the local jail which caused some damage, police were able to arrest Jason on domestic battery, aggravated assault, and resisting arrest. I might have suggested beating him with an ugly stick but man, that shit molded onto his face.

DeLand, FL – Before you blow your top and end up gracing the front page of the Dreamin’ Demon, remember, there are many effective ways of dealing with stress without resorting to violence. Of course, I neither know nor practice any of them, but I have heard of ways others deal with their tension. Some people shop ’til it hurts. Others drink themselves into oblivion – forgetting their own name and the reason for their angst. Some toke it up and pig out on Doritos until their mood improves. And Morbid, well, he masturbates. A. Lot. (Ask him about his carpal tunnel sometime). When Darren Daniels discovered his wife may have *gasp* smoked his last cigarette, he went postal and killed his pet rat. What the hell the rat had to do with anything is beyond me…I guess there wasn’t a toddler lurking anywhere in the vicinity.

In the midst of a tempter tantrum that would make any two-year-old child proud, Daniels grabbed the pet rat from it’s aquarium, smashed it’s little rat head on the edge of the tank, and proceeded to strangle it to death. Strangled? Really? You gotta be a real he-man to choke a rat to death. His wife, freaked out by the manly show of homicidal violence and perhaps fearing she may be next, ran from the house. She was hanging out on the porch when Darren burst outside screaming that he couldn’t bring the rat back to life. He grabbed his wife by the chest and wouldn’t let go. The woman was able to escape the rat-killer’s clutches after he began to repeatedly bang his own head into the wall. She found safety under a bush somewhere near their apartment complex. She waited there, in her leafy hidey-hole, for about an hour.

It was a neighbor who called 911 after he/she discovered a hole in the wall near the doorway.  When deputies rolled onto the scene, Darren rolled out. They eventually caught up with him, and with the help of some stop sticks, were able to apprehend the fucking nutjob. At the couple’s apartment, officers found two other large white rats, an aquarium with snakes and lizards, and a large python curled up in a ball on the bedroom floor – the rest of the animals were unharmed.

Darren Daniels, 22, is looking at charges of battery and fleeing. It is not known whether he will face animal cruelty charges. He has already made $3,000 bail and was released from his cage. He could make bail but couldn’t buy another pack of friggin’ smokes?!? His mamma had this to say about her adorable spawn: “He don’t have a mental problem. He lacks self control and needs to grow up and act like an adult.” Yeah. Something like that…

AUSTIN, Texas – A woman learned that the man who was living with her, 26-year-old Cecil Leary, had been abusive to his previous girlfriend. So in a big twist on this site, she told him to get out. A month later, she returns home to find the door of her apartment ajar and in another intelligent decision rarely seen here, she didn’t go in – rather, she called police. When they went inside, they found the place had been vandalized,  spray painted walls, broken furniture and oddly enough, a dog crate being held in a bathtub full of water with a televisions sitting on top. Also, her 3-month-old pit bull puppy, Lovely, was nowhere to be found. But the fate of her dog would soon be revealed through a series of text messages she would receive from Leary.

Turns out Leary did actually drown the dog by putting the puppy in the carrier, then putting that into his ex-girlfriend’s bathtub. He placed the television on top of the carrier so it would not float and then filled the tub with hot water. A few days after receiving these texts (where Leary also complained that she still had some of his shit) police located the body of Lovely in some nearby woods. An arrest warrant has now been issued for Leary on a charge of felony animal cruelty. Leary has not been located.

OVERLAND PARK, Kansas – I was going to put this up today if she had not been found yet, but looks like I will be putting it up for the opposite reason. Police said they have recovered Keighly Alyea’s body but gave no other details aside from having three men in custody in connection with her death. Alyea, 18, was last seen with her vehicle last Tuesday. Original reports at that time stated she may have been with Jaymes Dean Beebe, 22, and Dustin Brian Hilt, 18. On Sunday, her 1993 green Mazda 626 was located parked unoccupied on the street in the 6200 block of Marty. A third man, Sean Merritt, was questioned. On Monday night police searched two homes, one of them belongs to the relatives of one of the men originally questioned. No other info is being released at this point. The suspects in custody have not been officially named, nor where Alyea’s body was located.

Alyea’s father posted a message on the Facebook group page:

“I would first like to say how much I appreciate all of your efforts to help me find my daughter. I cannot even explain how much it means to me that everyone was so thoughtful. The Overland Park Police just announced that they have 3 people in custody… for the murder of Keighley. They are going to bring her home to us real soon. I must go be with my family now, but please never forget her. I love you, Keighley. Dad.”

Keighley had was involved in a domestic violence situation on Sept. 28 when an ex-boyfriend and his sister got into an violent altercation in which Keighley intervened. That ex was one of the people originally questioned. After going missing, all communication from her had ceased, which threw up red flags immediately.

“She would get on the Internet every single day,” said her uncle, Ed Frentrop, “and talk to people on Facebook and talk to people on her phone and text people. She talked to her mom and dad every single day. She talked to my daughter almost every single day through texting and whatnot. Then everything stopped.”

Not much in way of other information at this time, but I will be sure to update the story as more information becomes official.

Eustis, FL – My teen daughters and I share many of the same interests – we have similar taste in music, clothing, books, and movies – and are always borrowing one item or another from each other. Lisa Johnson and her daughter, Jessica Fixl, have something in common as well. His name is Richard Bowman. Lisa and Richard had been living together as a couple for about a year. After Lisa had to go away to serve a stint behind bars, Richard and Jessica ended up doing the nasty. Ya know, it’s one thing to borrow a pair of pants or shoes from your mother, but, borrowing her boyfriend? That’s just gross. When Lisa was released from the Gray Bar Motel a couple weeks ago, she returned home and resumed living with Jessica and Richard. And the rest of the story plays out kinda like an episode of Jerry Springer.

As you may have guessed, Richard continued to screw both of ‘em. That was more than Lisa could take. Police were called to the home on Friday to referee an argument between the skanky mother and daughter. Deputies noted that Lisa looked to be intoxicated and told her to sleep it off. They then left the home without any further ado…

About 20 minutes later, officers were called back to the residence. This time, Lisa was sportin’ a bloody forehead. She initially told officers that she went back to bed as directed, but awoke when her daughter, jealous of her mother’s relationship with Richard, attacked her. A juvenile witness at the scene, however, told a different story. The witness said that Lisa entered a room where Richard was staying, grabbed hold of his package and squeezed, saying she was going to “rip them off.” The bitch had quite a grip on the dude’s sack and wouldn’t let go. Jessica responded with a punch to mamma’s head. The end.

Now both women are cooling their heels behind bars. Lisa Johnson, 46, was booked on a charge of felony domestic simple battery on Richard. It’s a felony because she was convicted of criminal domestic abuse in 1991 and convicted of battery in early September. Jessica Fixl, 25, is looking at one count of domestic battery. The charge was upgraded to a felony because she had prior felony conviction in ‘08.

Alabama – Curtis Watts was a pastor at the Dingler Chapel in Randolph County. Key word being “was” because Mr. Watts ended up getting shot to death by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department Sergeant whose hand he cut off. Last week, police responded to a 911 call from Watt’s wife. She claimed he had assaulted her. Watts ended up tazing Watts multiple times, was charged with resisting arrest. He was out out on bond when deputies went to his residence to serve Watts a Protective Order signed by his wife. Watts began swinging an axe at Sergeant Jason Freeman, who fired a tazer in return. This didn’t stop Watts who continued swinging his axe and ended up chopping off one of Freeman’s hands. Other deputies on the scene then opened fire on Watts, killing him. Freeman is currently recovering after surgeons re-attached his right hand. Read on for a veejo report.
