Mendota, California - Very little information on this one, but here’s what I got. Alex Christopher Mercado, 4, was reported missing last FridayFriday reviews evening. Alex had been left in the care of an older sibling when he disappeared. About 24 hours after little Alex vanished, his body was found stuffed in the clothes dryer of a neighbor’s home. The body had been placed in the dryer after he was killed. Though police aren’t releasing the cause or manner of death, it is being reported that a 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody and charged with murder. Cleveland, OH - Arshon Baker, 5, was born behind bars and his life pretty much went downhill from there. His mother, 24-year-old Angel Glass, was serving a three year stint in prison on a felonious assault charge when she gave birth to Arshon. For five years, she beat the child. When Arshon was admitted to the hospital in full cardiac arrest last FridayFriday reviews, medical personnel noted that the child was covered in cuts, burns, and bruises from his head to the bottom of his feet – some old, some new, some scars suspiciously shaped like an extension cord. Cartwright, Oklahoma – Not a lot of details on this but enough to raise some questions. 11-year-old Dakota Cheyenne Hughes was spending the weekend at her Aunt’s house who lives next door. Reports state that she was up late watching movies with 34-year-old Jason Lee Belew — an acquaintance of one of Dakota’s relatives and a man she had known for about a month. At around 4 a.m. the Aunt woke up and found Dakota dead in a back bedroom and Jason was nowhere to be found. Kissimmee, FL – The guy you see before you, with the bad-ass stripey-head ‘do, is 19-year-old Jonathan Alicea. Much like many of the men we feature here on the Dreamin’ Demon, Jonathan has a girlfriend with a couple of rugrats. And, much like many of the women we feature here, that girlfriend trusted her man with the lives of her children while she went about earning a living. And, like many of the stories we feature here, it doesn’t end well. Jonathan was playing Mr. Mom on Sunday and whipped up some dinner for the kiddos, ages 2 and 6. The 2-year-old may not have been extremely thrilled with Jonathan’s culinary skills and refused to eat. (Dinner was hot dogs and scrambled eggs – doesn’t sound very appetizing to me either). Pulaski, VA – I’m looking at that fabulous mugshot and all I can think is “Boo-fucking-hoo bitch, cry me a river.”  Lisa Hylton, has plenty of reason to turn on the waterworks, but I am not sure which one she is actually using.  Could one of them be the fact that her 3 year old son has died or could it be because she has been arrested for his murder? Some time Tuesday, Hylton left her drug stash out where a curious toddler could get a hold of it.  The 3 year old boy ingested some of the drug and while Hylton was aware of this, she chose not to seek medical attention for him for approximately 14 hours.  I guess when the boy stopped breathing, she thought it would be  a pretty good idea to call 911.  Unfortunately, the kid did not make it and was pronounced dead at 5:30 AM Wednesday morning.  Several hours later, Hylton was arrested and charged with second-degree murder and felony child neglect. Casselberry, FL – Nioshka Bello is considered by neighbors to be an excellent and doting mother. That’s weird, because based on the fact that her mugshot and story are being featured here on the Dreamin’ Demon, you gotta figure that the chick is lacking in the most basic of parenting skills. Nioshka used to have a 2-year-old daughter named Janessa Sandoval, who, according to neighbors, was very well kept, doted upon, and happy. That happy little girl is dead – her mommy strangled her with a bra. Yes, Nioshka managed to rid this earth of one more toddler, but failed miserably when it came to taking her own life. He is charged with hitting two toddlers while driving drunk. He drug them both for a block before one of the children, a 2-year-old boy, became dislodged. His 1-year-old sister was not so lucky. She remained lodged in the wheel well of his SUV – still in the wagon she had been sitting in – where she remained even after Dinkins parked his vehicle at his home a mile away. Hookstown, PA - Wyatt Smitsky, 4, was reported missing at 7:30 FridayFriday reviews evening – he was last seen playing in the yard with his sisters, ages 3 and 6, around 6:30 that evening. It was believed that Wyatt had simply wandered away from home and got lost. Authorities were especially concerned when it was revealed that Wyatt suffered from an congenital heart defect and required medication. Authorities, family, friends, and neighbors searched for Wyatt until 4 a.m. – coming up empty. The search started anew at 11:00 SaturdaySaturday reviews morning, but was called off a little less than two hours later. Wyatt had been found – face down in a septic tank filled with solid waste. And authorities don’t believe Wyatt accidentally made his way into the tank. The lid on the tank, which is similar to a manhole cover, was way too heavy for Wyatt to maneuver on his own. St. Charles, Missouri - Evan Hassan Wormley, aka EV THA TV, had a bad morning yesterday.   So did his two-year-old son, Ev Junior.  So did Random Casino Bystander Guy, who was just trying to scratch a gambling itch at a St. Louis-area casino.  At 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, aspiring hip-hop artist Wormley, 21, showed up at the Ameristar casino in St. Charles.  That’s not weird, right?  People gamble at all hours.  But Ev was (a) drunk, and (b) had his kid with him, and the baby was wearing nothing but a dirty diaper.  That probably should have been Sign #1 that things weren’t going to go well for either Evan.  [Read more...]

Cheyenne, WY – Southeast Wyoming is hell. It’s a gray, desolate, nightmarish wasteland full of howling wind and the ugliest, most desperate shrubbery in the world. When the wind isn’t sucking all rational thought from your skull like a passenger jet with the windows blown out, I’m almost certain that it actually rains road kill. It’s the least populous state in the nation, which means most people have chosen slightly lesser hells like Bakersfield, CA, or even Delaware. Stop and ask a local why the fuck you just saw a sign with a picture of a rabbit with antlers growing out of it’s head. They jokingly call this taxidermy-for-tourism‘s-sake a “jackalope”, but I call it mutilating at least two corpses. It is a place that warps the mind, sickens the soul and ruthlessly chaps the lips of any who dare enter it. Oshkosh, WI – On May 18, emergency crews were called to David Reimer’s home on a report of an unresponsive infant. When paramedics arrived, they found 2.5-month-old Logan Boyer unconscious and lacking a pulse – Logan died four days later. AutopsyAutopsy reviews revealed the cause of death was traumatic brain injury and further revealed numerous rib fractures in various stages of healing, a broken arm, and trauma to the head. Investigators believe that Logan had been an ongoing target of abuse. Targeted? W.T.F. After a lengthy investigation and a consultation with a national expert on shaken-baby syndrome, an arrest was made.
