YUCAIPA, CA – A 13-year-old girl hanged herself after being bullied at school, leaving a note calling herself a “loser.”

On the morning of November 28, the family of Rosalie Avila woke up to find the girl had hanged herself in her bedroom.

“I had to find my daughter hanging in her room,” said her father, Freddie Avila. “That’s a vision you never want to see from your daughter in her bedroom.”

She was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, before being declared brain dead and removed from life support on December 1.

Her family says Avila left behind a note in which she apologized, while also calling herself a “loser” and “ugly.”

Avila’s father said his daughter had endured two years of bullying at Mesa View Middle School.

“She kept a journal or a diary of the people who hurt her and people that called her ugly and just putting her down,” said her mother.

It had gotten so bad recently that Avila had started cutting herself so her family had placed her in counseling.…

AURORA, CO – A 10-year-old girl reportedly committed suicide after a fight between her and another girl was posted online.

According to the father of Ashawnty Smith, his daughter was involved in a fight with her alleged bully on school grounds last month.

“She got into her first ever fight. It was recorded by a student and sent to an app called,” her father said.

The video that was posted showed Ashawnty and another girl fighting on Sunrise Elementary School property while other kids watched.

The girl’s mother said the fight started after her daughter confronted the girl she claims had been bullying her daughter.

Once the fight was posted online, the girl suffered even more bullying. The bullying got so bad that, according to her parents, Ashawnty ended her own life.

“My daughter came home two weeks later and hanged herself in the closet,” her mother said.

Ashawnty was rushed to the hospital where she would spend two weeks on life support before dying Wednesday morning.

The girl’s parents believe Ashawnty was the victim of “bullycide” and are hoping that by coming forward and telling their story, they can help prevent another child from killing themselves because of bullying.…

MARQUETTE, MI – An 11-year-old boy hanged himself after his 13-year-old girlfriend faked her own suicide on social media.

When this story was first making the rounds, the mother of the boy was talking about her son’s suicide in hopes it would get other parents to talk to their kids about the dangers of social media.

Katrina Goss did not go into details regarding the motives behind her son deciding to end his own life, aside from saying it was because of a social media prank. Her original statement read:

My son Tysen Benz was an 11 year old student, athlete, comedian, friend, brother, charismatic and all around amazing child. On Tuesday March 14th he impulsively chose to end his own life as a result of a horrific act of a social media prank which is under investigation by authorities. He clung on with the help of life support until Tuesday April 4th. He has now been set free and can Rest In Peace. He was loved by everyone he knew and he will absolutely never be forgotten.

Deandre BloomfieldNEW YORK, NY – A 13-year-old boy is in the hospital suffering from second and third degree burns because, according to his mother, a bully sprayed him with cologne and then set him on fire.

Deandre Bloomfield was burned on December 2nd at the 13-year-old suspect’s apartment, says Bloomfield’s mother. She says the teen sprayed cologne on her son, who is disabled and a victim of bullying, then lit him up.

“First he smacked me. I got up and I said, ‘Don’t smack me again.’ And when I wanted to leave, he picked up a perfume bottle with a lighter, and he sprayed it on me,” said Deandre. “He did it two times. The first time he did it sparked on me and that’s when I started to run, and he threw the whole bottle at me.”

Even worse, the suspect’s mother and sister were in the home at the time and did not get immediate medical attention for her son after he rolled around and snuffed out the flames.…

Roy WilliamsROCKFORD, IL – Roy Williams, Jr. has found himself facing some serious charges after the 56-year-old tried running down a group of children he believed were bullying his daughter.

Williams initially confronted the group of kids with a cane after his 13-year-old daughter got in a fight at a bus stop outside Nelson Elementary School.

Williams called police to report the fight, but before they could arrive, Williams decided to take matters into his own hands and drove his SUV towards the kids, jumping the curb in the process.

As you can see in the cellphone video that was taken by a bystander, Williams didn’t hit any of the kids but not because of a lack of trying. Williams stayed at the scene until police arrived and was arrested after they viewed the cellphone footage.

“He should have not taken matters into his own hand and we would have investigated that initial incident and tried to resolve it without there being any further violence,” says Assistant Deputy Chief Doug Pann.

Williams is now facing aggravated assault with a vehicle and assault with a deadly weapon charges.…

Teri JohnsonFRESNO, CA – The mother and stepmother of a 12-year-old boy were arrested after police say they walked into a school cafeteria and assaulted two girls accused of bullying their son.

According to police, three carloads of people showed up to Cooper Academy earlier this month after they got sick of hearing about two girls, ages 12 and 13, bullying the 12-year-old boy.

The boy’s family say they have complained to school officials for months but the bullying has continued. So the family decided to confront the girls, and did so in the school’s cafeteria.

This confrontation turned physical and lead to the boy’s mother, Teri Johnson, and stepmother, Inez Hernandez, getting themselves arrested for assaulting the two girls. Both women were charged with conspiracy and misdemeanor willful cruelty to a child.

The women deny the accusations and are demanding that surveillance video be released.

“You will nowhere in that video see me or Inez anywhere near the little girls. That is against all my morals. The video will speak a thousand words,” Johnson said.…

Sandra RiveraORLANDO, FL – Sandra Rivera is facing some serious charges after she attacked and kidnapped one of her daughter’s classmates because he called her a name.

According to reports, the 28-year-old mother became enraged after learning that her 9-year-old daughter had been called a curse word by an 11-year-old boy at Eccleston Elementary.

Instead of going to the school, or talking to the boy’s parents, Rivera went to the school and waited for the boy to exit. When the boy got on his bike, Rivera walked up to him and lost her fucking mind. After throwing the boy off his bike, she physically assaulted him.

“She slammed me into the wall and then she came behind me and started choking me and hitting me on the head,” the boy said. All of this was captured on school surveillance video.

If that weren’t enough, she also threw the boy’s bike in her van and forced him to get inside. “She told me ‘tell me the instructions to your house or I’ll kill you,'” he said.…

KaronNEWARK, DE – Two boys, ages 13 and 14, have been arrested in connection to videotaped attacks on a mentally challenged man.

The videos were posted online and showed 26-year-old Karon being beaten by several teenagers while other teenagers stood around and watched. The teens can be seen repeatedly punching Karon in the face and body slamming him.

Karon’s mother says he suffers from Williams Syndrome and has the mental capacity of a second grader. “He doesn’t do anything to anyone but be kind,” she said.

The cool thing about this story, aside from the teens getting busted, is how they got busted. A 16-year-old girl saw the videos and wanted to do something about it.

Angeliz Marrero re-posted the attacks Saturday using #TheBullyProject. Within 24 hours, she had 18,000 new Instagram followers. “It spread so fast and I’m just so grateful for everybody that’s helping me out because if it weren’t for everybody helping, supporting and everything, this wouldn’t even go viral and that man really deserves justice,” said Angeliz.…

Rebecca SedwickORLANDO, FL – The family of Rebecca Sedwick, the 12-year-old girl who jumped to her death last year, has filed a lawsuit against one one of the girl’s alleged bullies, the School Board of Polk County, Cemex Construction Materials of Florida.

“I feel like I need to have some definitive answers and get some form of justice for Becca in order to start the whole healing process,” said Tricia Norman, Rebecca’s mother.

According to Norman’s attorney, David Henry, Rebecca’s family is seeking at least $15,000 from each of the defendants in order to “hold those accountable to account.”

For those of you who may have missed this story when it happened last year, Rebecca killed herself by jumping from a tower at an abandoned cement plant. There were reportedly various factors for her doing this, including ongoing harassment from two of her classmates, 14-year-old Guadalupe Shaw and 13-year-old Katelyn Roman.

After Rebecca started dating Guadalupe’s ex-boyfriend, she became the target of repeated physical and online attacks. Aside from the standard-issue name calling, she was also encouraged to kill herself.…

Matthew BurdetteSAN DIEGO, CA – The parents of a teenager who committed suicide last year say he took his own life after another student filmed him masturbating in a school bathroom then posted the video online.

Matthew Burdette killed himself on November 29. His family had noticed the once happy, popular teen had become withdrawn in the days leading up to his suicide, but say they never saw it coming.

Matthew left a note that stated he had no friends and that he could no longer handle school. Wanting answers, his family started asking questions – starting with school officials at University City High School.

They say school officials wouldn’t tell them anything about what may have happened at the school to have caused Matthew to suddenly hate school so bad that it would be part of his reasoning for ending his own life.

However, other students didn’t have such issues. They told Matthew’s family that their son was being relentlessly bullied over a video that was posted online that went viral.…

No BullyPLEASANT PRAIRIE, WI – Parents of a six-year-old girl have filed a restraining order against one of her five-year-old classmates after the boy allegedly told the girl he wanted to slit her throat and watch her bleed.

According to the girl’s father, Brian Metzger, that threat was just one of the many things the boy has reportedly done to bully his daughter while in school at Prairie Lane Elementary School.

“The whole year she’s been dealing with it. There have been other students in the classroom who have been dealing with the same individual,” Metzger said.

Metzger says his daughter has been kicked in the face, and had sand and rocks thrown at her on the playground. Metzger went to the school requesting the boy be removed from the classroom. When nothing changed and the bullying continued, Metzger took matters into his own hands.

He ended up filing a police report as well as filing a temporary restraining order against the five-year-old boy. Only then did the school remove the boy from the class.…

Lauren BuschMaryland – Police say two Maryland teenagers recorded themselves physically assaulting an autistic classmate and forcing him to perform sex acts, some with animals.

St. Mary County Sheriff’s Department said 17-year-old Lauren Bush and an unidentified 15-year-old girl admitted they assaulted the 16-year-old autistic boy with a knife on multiple occasions between December and February.

Sheriff Tim Cameron said all three teens attend Chopticon High School and that the girls preyed on the boy. They allegedly assaulted him with a knife, kicked him in the groin, dragged him by the hair, coerced him to engage in a sex act with an animal, and forced him to walk on a partially frozen pond where he fell through the ice.

The latter act being a possibly deadly one according to Sgt. Cara Grumbels. “You’re dealing with somebody who doesn’t have the mental capacity of you and I,” she said. “Somebody like that could go into a kiddie pool and may not be able to get themselves out. That’s what’s really kind of disturbing to us, among the other allegations in this case.…
