Growing Push For Police To Charge People Who Assaulted ReportersSacramento, CA – When I posted the video of a FOX news crew being attacked by a mob of mourners outside a California IHOP, I only did so because it was a slow news day. Also, I thought the chick in green was the most annoying person ever and the way reporter John Lobertini used his mic against the angry crowd was hilarious. He was like a fairy waving a wand.

I didn’t have much of an opinion on it because I didn’t know what words were exchanged between the crew and the crowd that had gathered at an impromptu memorial for a man that had been shot and killed there earlier that day.

But I did think that at least some of those people involved would be charged with dragging camerawoman, Rebecca Little, to the ground by her hair and then kicking her while she was down. But to date that has not happened and a growing number of people want to know why — including the people who started the obligatory Facebook Page.

Sacramento police say their hands are tied as this is a misdemeanor case and if the victims don’t want to press charges, what are they supposed to do?…

According to police, Zoey’s parents, Jennifer and Adam Thrower, left her next-door with Jeremy and his wife, Jamie McIntosh, on Thursday. It was agreed that Zoey would spend the night with the couple and Jennifer would pick her up at about 4:00 p.m. the following day.

Babysitter Charged In Beating Death Of 4 Year Old Zoey SlaglerWhen Jennifer called Jeremy on Friday to inform him she was on her way home, he said he would just take Zoey over to her place. When Jennifer arrived home to check on her daughter, she found her unresponsive. Police say the severely bruised child had no pulse when first responders arrived at the home.

Jeremy was placed under arrest after he reportedly admitted to striking the child several times because she wouldn’t obey him and because she continued to cry for her mother and father. Autopsy results showed that Zoey died from blunt force trauma to the head.…

News Crew Attacked By Angry Mob Of Mourners

February 21, 2011 at 2:59 pm by

Sacramento, CA – Want to see what happens when a news crew intrudes on an impromptu memorial for a man who got killed in an IHOP parking lot? You’re in luck. The following is raw video of some angry mourners attacking reporter John Lobertini and photographer Rebecca Little yesterday as they, along with other news crews, were covering the shooting death of a 27-year-old man earlier that day.

Not really a vicious attack, but had it not been for some level heads you could see how that could have turned out a lot worse than it did. John Lobertini really needs to go take some fighting classes or something. The way he wielded that microphone reminded me of the way some little girls throw when playing softball.…

Police: Woman Tortured, Disfigured In Brutal Attack By Estranged HusbandHouston, TX – Police have arrested a man after they say he tortured and mutilated his estranged wife for hours in a case deputies are calling the most brutal and vicious they have ever seen.

You know when Sheriff Garcia calls a suspect a “rabid dog” that they must have done something really, really messed up and if 39-year-old Gregory Longoria Jr. is guilty of what he has been accused of, I’d say Garcia was holding back.

After being separated from his common-law wife for six months, Longoria became enraged when he thought she was seeing another man. So he told the 33-year-old woman that if she and their 1-year-old toddler did not go back to his apartment, he would kill her and everyone in her family. She had no reason to doubt this as Longoria has a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1989 that include charges of theft, attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault of a family member and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

Once there, Longoria forced her to undress and began taking obscene pictures of her.…

Teen Killed Mother With Claw Hammer After She Took Away His PS3Philadelphia, PA – Our resident forum Overlord posted a story back in November of last year regarding a teenager who was accused of beating his mother to death with a claw hammer. He tried to hide the body behind the house, but was busted a few days later when family members became suspicious.

It is now being reported that the motive behind the attack was because 16-year-old Kendall Anderson had his Playstation 3 taken away from him after an hours long argument with his mother, 37-year-old Rashida Anderson.

Kendall admitted to pacing  for a few hours before finally coming to the conclusion that he must murder his mother because he “was tired of all the arguing.” He waited until she had fell asleep before hitting her over 20 times with a claw hammer. But she wasn’t dead.

Kendall tried to finish his mother off by cremating her in the oven. When that did not turn out like he planned, he smashed her head in with a chair leg, then dragged her body out into the alley behind their house and covered it with debris.…

Murder Suspect Admits To Brutally Attacking Woman He Met On Match.comLas Vegas, NV -- Police say that a Vegas man was so pissed at a woman for breaking off their relationship, he drove to Phoenix and brutally beat and stabbed the woman to death.

Reports are 53-year-old Wade Ridley drove to the home of his ex-girlfriend, 62-year-old Anne Simenson, and stabbed her multiple times with a machete and a butcher knife. He then stole her car as well as some jewelry and electronics.

After he was pulled over driving Simenson’s car and arrested outside the Hard Rock Hotel, he admitted to the murder, robbing a Safeway pharmacy of some oxycodone shortly afterwards and that weeks earlier, he had tried to murder another ex-girlfriend.

In that incident, Ridley told police he was so angry with a woman he met on Match.com for breaking up with him, he broke into her garage and waited for her to come home with the sole purpose of killing her. He told police he wanted to make her pay “for how she mistreated him.”

When 49 year-old Mary Kay Beckman arrived home, Ridley admitted to knocking her to the ground and stabbing her multiple times until the blade of the knife broke inside her. Undeterred, Ridley then began stomping on her head and neck “until she stopped making the gurgling noise.”

“He stomped on her eight times, I’m sure it was on her face,” says neighbor Hsuemi-Mei Yeh, who witnessed the attack from her bedroom window across the street.…

Police: Man Beat Elderly Mother With Flashlight

February 4, 2011 at 4:36 am by

Police: Man Beat Elderly Mother With FlashlightHesperia, California — Jerry Wayne Baker doesn’t want to pay rent. In fact, when his 73-year-old mother asked him to begin paying for the roof over his head, Baker made sure his mother knew he was not going to pay her a penny.

According to police, the 50-year-old man brutally beat his elderly mother with a flashlight. He seemed to focus the beatings on her arms and then threatened to break her hands so she could no longer play the piano. During the attack, police say he also tried to choke the woman.

Baker was arrested on Wednesday morning on suspicion of elder abuse and making terrorist threats after deputies were called out to St. Mary Medical Center on Tuesday night where the victim was recovering from the alleged beating.

Baker may get his wish: he won’t have to pay rent in jail… at least not a monetary value anyway.…

Police: Man Clocks Girlfriend For Failing To Ask Permission To Use The RestroomNewport Township, PA — A woman told police her boyfriend beat her with an alarm clock and a couple of folding chairs last week because she didn’t ask for permission to use the restroom.

Jarrett Edmonds apparently became “enraged” when the brazen woman dared to use the facilities without getting the nod of approval from his holiness. The girlfriend told police Edmonds beat her with a digital alarm clock before switching it up and arming himself with the chairs. He repeatedly struck the woman in the head, face and torso.

She went on to tell investigators that Edmonds held her hostage in the home for nearly an hour, denying her request to leave or call an ambulance. At some point, he reportedly tried to force the woman to stand outside naked just to embarrass her. Edmonds eventually relented and allowed the woman to go to a friend’s house to call 911.

The woman was left with various bumps and bruises, deep lacerations to her head and a broken nose. Two bloodied folding chairs and an alarm clock found at the scene were bagged and tagged as evidence.…

Man Charged With Severely Beating Child With Belt Over Several DaysNEW BEDFORD, Mass., -- A mother and her boyfriend have both been arrested after a 4-year-old boy was beaten so badly, a hospital nurse was reportedly brought to tears after seeing his injuries.

Police say the boy had bruising and cuts all over his body and dried blood in his ear resulting from his mother’s boyfriend, 31-year-old Elvis Garcia, beating the boy with a belt “and other means” over a period of several days.

Garcia was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon resulting in substantial bodily injury and reckless endangerment of a child. The boy’s mother is facing charges of permitting substantial injury to a child, reckless endangerment to a child under 18 and being an accessory after the fact because she was aware of the ass-kicking Garcia was doling out on her son.

Richmond, VA — Police are actively looking for the men who beat up and robbed two other men in the city’s popular club district , then posted a video of the assault on Youtube.

The video shows a group of six to seven black men kicking the ass of two white men. The video was posted on Youtube with a comment about this being what happens when white people use the “N” word. I’m assuming they mean “nanocephalous” or maybe even “Narnia” but I’m not sure.

But whatever the “N” word is, the victim states they didn’t use it and never would have and didn’t even see his attackers until they came around the corner and began yelling at him and his friend.

“All I can remember is some guys starting to, like, yell at us and shout at us, and the next thing I know, I was waking up the next morning in the hospital,” said one of the victims, a software developer in his mid-20s.

Det. Flores believes the motive was to promote a website, even though one of the men’s wallet was stolen.…

Phoenix, AZ — Police say an 11-year-old girl was severely and brutally beaten by a family member just moments after being sexually assaulted by that family member’s friend. Arrested was 34-year-old Jon Gary – a man police say has raised the child since she was an infant.

According to authorities, Gary witnessed his adult friend sexually assaulting the child on January 10. The friend accused of molesting the child later told police that Gary ordered the girl into her room and hit him once before retreating to the kid’s bedroom to kick her ass. The alleged rapist told police he left the home after Gary pointed a gun at him.

The victim, who ultimately spent 6 days in ICU, doesn’t remember anything before the beating other than drinking some “some soda that tasted funny.” She does remember Gary kicking, punching and stomping her until she lost consciousness. She was hospitalized with a liver laceration, a right adrenal gland hemorrhage, an acute 11th rib fracture, a concussion, an acute vaginal injury, and multiple bruises.…

Fort Pierce, FL — Accused of killing his pet pit bull, Joseph Barker told police he had grown tired of the dog’s incessant barking, so he beat it with a tire iron a bit before stabbing it to death.

According to authorities, on January 8, Joseph Barker paid a friend $20 to drive him and the 3-year-old pit bull to the L-20 canal. After exiting the vehicle, Barker reportedly struck the dog on the head a few times with a tire iron and tossed him into the canal. The blows to the head didn’t kill the dog, and as it tried to climb the embankment, Barker reportedly grabbed it and stabbed it in the neck approximately 26 times. He later told police he didn’t feel that beating and poking the animal full of holes was inhumane.

A family member later learned of the incident and retrieved the dog’s body from the canal before contacting police. Barker, 35, is being held without bond, charged with animal cruelty.…

Dad Gets 15 To Life For Killing Infant Son

January 25, 2011 at 1:57 am by

Troy, Ohio — Jason Durig was sentenced yesterday morning to 15 years to life in prison after being convicted of killing his infant son back in July.

The death of 8-month-old Caleb was caused by blunt force trauma to the head according to the coroner. Both of Caleb’s parents, Jason Durig and Tara Durig, were arrested on July 26th after police found their infant son dead inside their apartment. Tara Durig had called them to the scene at about 11:45 am that morning. Jason Durig caused the death by beating, biting, and strangling the baby.

In December, Durig changed his plea to guilty just before he was scheduled to go on trial for murder and child endangering. Both parents were being held on $1 million bond each. Tara is charged with permitting child abuse and child endangering and is expected to be sentenced next week.

Jason Durig has been in trouble with the law before. In 2007 he was convicted and sent to prison on charges of child abuse and endangering after causing second-degree burns to another one of his children while he was giving him a bath in a kitchen sink.…

Columbus, Ohio – Not a big surprise, but the man accused of killing his child by repeatedly slamming him on the ground has been indicted on aggravated murder charges and had his bail set at $2.5 million.

As Jaded reported in November, 20-year-old Quindell Sherman was charged murdering his 3-month-old son, Jayden Sherman after getting into an argument with the child’s mother. During this argument, Sherman slammed the infant onto a concrete landing. He then struck the baby’s mother, Sonja Mitchell, and great-grandmother, Carolynne Holmes, before picking the baby up and throwing him an estimated 25 feet, into the middle of E. 16th Avenue.

Sherman then ran into the street, grabbed the infant by an arm and “dragged him down the street like a rag doll,” police reported. Not quite finished, this monster then ran into an alley, turned around to face the house and slammed his son on the ground again. He grabbed the baby again and hid in a trash bin, where officers said they found him standing on the child.…

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — A second Broward County school principal got themselves arrested this last week. The first was Coral Park Elementary Principal Amanda Miles who was arrested after police reportedly found drugs in her home. The second was a principal at Hallandale Beach high school who has been charged with aggravated child abuse after allegedly beating his 16-year-old daughter with an extension cord.

Darren Jones, 42, reportedly admitted to using a power cord to hit his daughter on her arms, legs, back and hands on January 9 because he was simply trying to discipline her. The beating left visible bruising on her arms, legs and back according to Child Protective Services report. The teen has since been removed from the family’s home.

Jones, the principal at Hallandale High School for the last two years, bonded out of jail on Saturday and is co-operating with police. He isn’t speaking to the media, which is probably a very wise move, leaving that to his lawyer.
