Axel Charrette, 2, Drowned By Teen Babysitters Drug Crazed BoyfriendMexico City - Two-year-old Axel Charrette was killed in Sayulita, Mexico while on vacation with his family at a vacation home they were renting, and now his 16-year-old babysitter and her boyfriend have been charged with his murder.

In a statement released to The Watch, Jen and Randy Charrette stated they had hired a 16-year-old girl to help around their vacation home. On February 28, the girl was babysitting their two boys when she let her 17-year-old inside the home.

Realizing that her boyfriend was in a violent, drug-crazed state, she locked herself in a bathroom and left Axel outside the home and his older brother in another part of the house. For reasons unknown at this time, the boyfriend hurt Axel and then tossed him into a pool where he drowned.

They go on to say that the teen and her boyfriend have been arrested and charged with murder in Mexico City. They were also told by a source in the US State Department that the case is ‘Mexico’s number one priority right now.’

The Charrettes concluded the statement with, “There are no words to express our grief – but we wanted you to know what happened because the truth, as horrible as it may be, is important.…

Babysitter Accused Of Slamming Baby Pleads Not Guilty In Childs DeathWAUKEGAN, IL — The Illinois woman accused of killing a 3-month-old baby, allegedly by violently slamming her down on a table, has pleaded not guilty to murder.

Sarah Gumm, 33, is facing life behind bars if she is convicted of the multiple murder and battery charges filed against her in connection to the death of Rylan “Turtle” Koopmeiners, the baby girl she’d been babysitting for six weeks.

On July 27, Rylan was rushed to the hospital after Gumm called 911 to report that Rylan was not breathing. She was pronounced shortly after arrival and an autopsy report would reveal that the girl had a skull fracture and cranial hemorrhaging.

Her cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma, the medical examiner noting a significant amount of force caused the fracture and that Rylan probably died within an hour of receiving the injuries.

Gumm would later admit to investigators that she had gotten angry after Rylan became fussy during a diaper change. “She admitted she put the baby down on a table such that the baby’s head hit the table,” Lake County assistant State’s Attorney Ari Fisz said.…

Nanny Caught On Camera Suffocating Baby Multiple TimesHOUSTON, TX – A woman is behind bars after hidden surveillance camera captured her abusing and repeatedly suffocating the baby she had been hired to care for.

The parents of a 4-month-old girl say they hired 48-year-old Tirza Magana before their baby was born and that she had been working for them for five months until May. That’s when they decided to install a nanny cam after noticing their daughter was acting strange and lethargic. After just one day of filming, the parents reviewed the footage and were horrified at what the it had captured.

According to court documents, the video footage shows Magana placing her hands over their child’s nose and mouth while applying pressure, causing the baby to “flail about, struggling to breathe.” She does this four times over a fifteen minute period and can even be seen switching her grip.  She is also seen “holding the baby up by her head as the child’s dangling body made jerking movements.”

The parents immediately fired Magana and called police. Magana was ultimately arrested and charged with endangering a child and is in jail on a $10000 bond.…

Police: Sitter Poured Mixture Of Salt And Detergent Down Evil Infants ThroatFederal Way, WA — A 33-year-old certified nursing assistant is facing charges of second-degree assault of a child after police say they found an infant in her care covered in a white powder, burnt, bleeding and gasping for air in her home on January 10.

According to authorities, Mabinty Williams was babysitting the 4-week-old infant as a favor to a family friend, and in the four hours that she had possession of the child, had called her husband to complain about the kid no less than 16 times. Williams reportedly sounded a little more desperate and “off” with each call, prompting the man to return home.

When the husband arrived at the apartment, he said Williams insisted that he take the child back to it’s parents. Like, now. The man told police he told his wife he had to return his company vehicle, but would return shortly and take the baby. By the time he got back, though, the police were on scene.

Seems the couple’s neighbors called police right after Williams appeared at their door claiming there was someone in her house.…

Babysitter Charged After Filming Herself Molesting GirlMANALAPAN, NJ – A 32-year-old woman has been arrested after police say she  sexually abused a 5-year-old girl she was babysitting, and streamed video of the abuse online.

Jennifer Mahoney was charged with two federal counts of the sexual exploitation of a child after police raidied the home of a man in Texas and retrieved three videos of Mahoney molesting the girl.

Two of the videos were Skype sessions that show Mahoney talking to someone online while wearing a lace top with her breasts exposed. She is kneeling at the foot of a bed performing oral sex on the sleeping child who is lying on her stomach with her buttocks exposed. At some points in the videos, Mahoney can be seen masturbating or laughing.

The second video was recorded with an iPhone and shows Mahoney giving the girl a bath and asking her to bend over so she can rinse her off. “Like a mermaid?” the child asks Mahoney. “Like a mermaid, sweetheart,” Mahoney replies before putting her fingers in the girl’s vagina.…

Woman Arrested After Nanny Cam Catches Her Abusing TwinsChicago, IL – A 65-year-old woman in Chicago has been arrested and charged with abusing two infants in her care after a hidden camera captured her physically abusing them.

The mother of two eight-month-old boys installed the camera after a doctor noticed bruising on one of the boys and advised her to install a hidden surveillance camera.

When the boys’ parents reviewed the video captured by the newly installed “nanny cam,” they watched in disbelief as the children’s caregiver, 65-year-old Alice E. Vesely,  could be seen slapping, kicking, punching, smothering, grabbing, tossing, and recklessly lifting the twins by their arms and clothing.

The parents turned the video over to police who arrested Vesely and charged her with two counts of aggravated battery to a child. She is currently in jail on a $300,000 bond.

I always admire the parents who take the logical approach in these situations and contact police after discovering the abuse of their children. I would hope I would behave in the same fashion and not satisfy my need to confront the abuser and beat the life out of them.…

Babysitter Charged After Transporting Baby In Back Of Pickup Truck Daytona Beach, FL — Ever wonder why Red Baron Pizza has to warn consumers to place crust side down, or why the Hormel Pepperoni I am currently snacking on warn not to eat the packet inside? (I shit you not, here is a pic I just took.)

Well, it’s not always a way for companies to protect themselves from lawsuits. Sometimes it’s because some people are just so stupid they have to be warned not to change the blade of a chainsaw while it is running.

Case in point, 23-year-old Keyona Davis, a Florida babysitter who was caught on camera transporting a baby in a stroller while in the back of a pickup truck.

Police received calls from concerned people who reported seeing a woman travelling in the back of a pickup while holding on to a baby stroller containing an 8-month-old infant.

Police caught up with the truck and arrested Davis, charging her with felony child neglect. While in court, her public defender argued that the charge was too harsh, as the baby was unharmed.…

Babysitter Charged With Murder Accused Of Leaving Child To Die On Floor While She Played YoVilleGLOUCESTER CITY, NJ — A woman is behind bars today accused of beating a little girl and then leaving her to die on the floor as she played Yoville on Facebook.

Sheila Polanski, 33, was babysitting 2-year-old Madeline McHenry last Tuesday when she called 911 to report the girl was having problems breathing. When paramedics arrived, they immediately noticed that the toddler had some bruising around her forehead, chest, and abdominal area. She was taken to the hospital, but would fall into a coma and then die on Thursday in her father’s arms.

Polanski offered up a number of reasons why the little girl she had been babysitting since May showed signs of physical trauma. These explanations included the girl striking her head on a wooden banister, a metal table leg, a chair leg, a refrigerator door and even that she had fallen off a table. But finally she admitted that she was stressed out over being evicted from her apartment, and when the little girl would not stop whining, she picked her up around her chest and shook her violently before throwing her to the floor.…

Babysitter Charged With Intentionally Scalding ToddlerYork, PA. – A 23-year-old woman is accused of burning a child’s hand so badly, his skin was peeling off his fingers.

Amanda Marguerite Coeyman, 23, was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and endangering the welfare of a child, after police found that her version of events was inconsistent with the facts in the case. Now, maybe I just watch way too many crime shows, but I have no clue how this chick thought her story would actually fly with investigators.

On May 18 at about 12:45 p.m., Coeyman called York County 911 to report that a 2-year-old child in her care had burned his hand in the shower. When police arrived, the child’s hand was so badly burned that his skin was red and swollen with large blisters and some skin was actually hanging off of other fingers. He was transported to Johns Hopkins Medical Center.

Coeyman, a former assistant Eastern York coach, claimed Myles Miller (pictured) had burned his hand in a bucket she was filling with hot water in the shower.…

Former Babysitter Arrested On Sexual Assault Charges After Teen Commits SuicideCañon City, COBrenda Harding, a 30-year-old married mother of two, was arrested and ultimately charged with two felony counts of sexual assault on a child after police began investigating a teen boy’s suicide.

15-year-old Tristen Hagen’s body was found on a ridge overlooking Harding’s home earlier this month. The Fremont County Coroner ruled the death a suicide from an overdose of two prescription medications, Oxycodone and Skelaxin. While investigating Hagen’s death, police learned the boy had been in a months-long sexual relationship with Harding. Police have inferred that Hagen’s untimely death was a direct result of said relationship.

According to authorities, Harding, a friend of Hagen’s stepmother, babysat the teen and his two younger siblings in the summer of 2010. The two reportedly had sex for the first time in June.

Concerned about the texts and phone calls between the teen and the woman over the past few months, Hagen’s father attempted to end the relationship, demanding that the two cease and desist. When it became apparent that the relationship hadn’t ended, Hagen’s father contacted Harding and told her to leave the boy alone or he would seek a restraining order against her.…

10 Year Old Child Writes Note To Teacher Detailing MolestationSt. Cloud, FL – At the end of the school day last Thursday, a teacher at Hickory Tree Elementary School found a note on her desk. The note, which had been written by a 10-year-old student, indicated that the child no longer wanted to go to the babysitter’s house after school because the babysitter’s boyfriend had been touching her.

The child later told investigators the babysitter’s boyfriend, 59-year-old Daryl Alan Rea, would often tickle her, his hands eventually working their way down her body to her crotch. Sometimes his filthy paws remained on top of her clothing, and other times his filthy paws slipped underneath her clothing. The child told police this had happened on multiple occasions.

Rea was taken into custody after the child positively identified his picture in a lineup. When questioned, a cooperative Rea told police that it was possible he did touch the child inappropriately. He has since been charged with two felony counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.…

Detectives seized $4,400 in cash, approximately $6,000 worth of crack cocaine and a couple digital scales. Police also found several bags of sex toys and pornography in a room where children’s toys were stored. Booker was reportedly selling the toys and porn in addition to the crack.

TITUSVILLE, Fla. – A woman first reported missing with the 7-month-old she was baby-sitting has been charged after the boy’s body was found in a cooler.

On Sunday a woman reported her missing infant to police. She told them that she dropped off her 7-month-old son, Ja-veon Brushan, with 40-year-old Carolyn Miller on Thursday and now could not locate her or her son. She told police it was not out of the ordinary for Miller to watch her baby for days at a time but she is usually able to contact her.

Police found Miller on Monday morning, but she denied having any knowledge of the whereabouts of Ja-veon. After further questioning, Miller admitted she wasn’t being quite honest about that and took police to her boyfriend’s house where in the backyard, was a cooler containing the corpse of Ja-veon.

Miller told police that several days ago she woke up to find the baby dead and did what any rational person does in that situation and packed the baby’s dead body up like a six-pack of beer and pretended it never happened.…

Police: Child Care Worker Charged In Two Abuse Cases

November 10, 2010 at 7:08 am by

Tulsa, OK — Meredith Howard, a teacher’s aide at the John Knox Child Development Center, was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of felony child abuse by injury for two separate incidents that occurred at two separate day care facilities more than two years apart. According to police, Howard has been on administrative leave since Thursday after being accused of digitally penetrating the vagina of a 19-month-old child at John Knox. Howard told police the child began squirming during a diaper change, and well…she may have accidentally slipped the kid a knuckle. According to the pediatrician who examined the child, the injuries were not consistent with accidental insertion, but were consistent with sexual abuse. The pediatrician also stated that the laceration to the child’s vagina was deep enough to require surgery. Police say that in this particular case, a child abuse charge will be easier to prove than a sexual abuse charge. As for the other charge, Howard stands accused of using unreasonable force after she reportedly broke the thigh bone of an 8-month-old boy in December of ’08 while employed at a day care center affiliated with Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian.…

Another Bad Sitter Busted By Nanny Cam

October 24, 2010 at 10:17 am by

Joliet, IL – Paul Carlos wondered why his normally rambunctious 2-year-old son behaved so angelically for the sitter, 52-year-old Erin Denny. “He’s going through the terrible twos, but he listens to her,” Paul said. “That struck me as kind of odd.” So, he decided to set up a nanny-cam. When he picked his son up after work on Tuesday, he and the kid sat down to view the recording. It was then that he witnessed Erin beating the snot out of his kid. “I didn’t think there was going to be anything bad on that video,” Paul said before describing how his kiddo freaked at the sight of himself being beaten by the bad sitter. “He screamed and he jumped.” Apparently, Erin couldn’t find the remote for the TV, so she took to beating on the toddler. “I never would have guessed,” he said. “She seemed like such a nice lady.” After viewing the recording, Paul reportedly went after the bitch – chasing her in circles around a kitchen island.…

Athens, AL – Back in October of 2009, Nathan Vossler was accused of kidnapping a 6-year-old neighbor girl in Clarksville, Tennessee. Police say Nathan pushed the child into his home and forcibly removed her coat and shoes. When the girl started crying, Nathan reportedly threatened to hurt her if she didn’t shut up. He eventually allowed the child to leave the apartment unharmed. He was arrested on charges of especially aggravated kidnapping and jailed on $50,000 bond. The day after his arrest, his wife, Mary Vossler, was arrested and charged with aggravated arson after she allegedly set fire to Nathan’s computer in what police believe was an attempt to destroy evidence against her husband. Though the hard drive survived the fire, a description of it’s contents has not been released. Whether Mary ever bonded out is unclear, but Nathan finally made bail in May or June of this year and left the state of Tennessee for Alabama. And he has apparently stepped up his game a notch. Just last week, a woman called police to report her 3-year-old child had been sexually assaulted while under Nathan’s care.…

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. – Police have charged an 11-year-old baby sitter with felony murder and child cruelty in the death of 2-year-old Zyda White. The toddler died over the weekend after suffering blunt force trauma to the head. The girl’s mother called 911 after arriving to pick her up Saturday night. The babysitter, whose mother is a co-worker of the victim’s mother, said the injuries resulted from a fall off of a bed. But autopsy results did not support that. White’s mother told reporters she wants the accused to do life in prison but has probably learned by now that the maximum sentence allowed for someone under the age of 13 charged with murder is two years in a juvenile justice facility. So if it was an intentional act or not, she’ll be back home in no time. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that the place these two work at is pretty awkward at the moment. Also, do people regularly employ 11-year-old babysitters?…
