Caldwell, Idaho – When paramedics arrived back to Canyon County Paramedic Building from a bogus 911 call about a car accident, they were shocked to see 35-year-old Melissa Farris pinned under the garage door and unconscious. She later died of asphyxiation at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. No one knows exactly why Melissa, who once worked at the building as a paramedic from OctoberOctober reviews 2001 to December 2008, ended up under the garage door. But it has been revealed that the 911 call the team had responded to had been placed by Melissa herself in a successful attempt to lure her former employees out of the building. “It means for us that she was wanting to get into that ambulance bay when nobody was there. Golden Valley, Minnesota When are these young fathers going to realize that with the release of a little sperm (oh I know, it’s a LOT of it) comes some responsibility if said sperm meets and hooks up with said egg? Pasadena, CA - I know there are about as many ways of parenting as there are parents, but none of them should be stuff banned by the Geneva convention. At around 6 am Tuesday, Maria Palaez, age 29, called 911 and reported that her child was not breathing. Emergency personnel arrived to find 2 year old Rene Torres dead at the scene due to asphyxiation. His parents admitted to duct taping him up as a form of punishment and also said that they had taped his mouth occasionally. Though police are keeping the details of the case quiet, they have arrested both the mother and live-in boyfriend, 32-year-old Gabriel Diaz, due to the “suspicious nature of the call” and other evidence found in the course of the investigation. Posen, IL- Like many of the stories we see here on the DD, this story has its share of WTF’s. After only a few hours of rest and having sore muscles from moving shit that’s not mine, I’m feeling kind of lazy this morning, so I’ll keep it short and just allow you all to insert the WTF’s where needed. The grandfather of 22-month old Yvette Palacios said his son was always suspicious of the babysitter, Natalia Pineda, and her boyfriend, Juan Melendez-Reynoso, and that his son argued with Yvette’s mom about it, but the mom was the boss. On at least one occasion, Pineda refused to open the door the toddler’s family while the girl was in her care.

Bedtime with a 2-year-old. It can be a real nightmare for caregivers as the little bastards just don’t want to stay in their beds sometimes. This seemed to be an issue Jessie Rodriguez, 27, was having with the child of his girlfriend, Tisa Hawes, 27. Her 2-year-old boy, Brian Hawes, was having problems falling asleep. So genius decided that he would simply tie the boy down to the bed with the boy’s fire engine blanket. On Sept 21st, after multiple times of the boy wriggling out of his restraints, Rodriguez tied the boy down real good. So good, in fact, that the next morning Brian Hawes was dead.

10/10/08 – Update – Minerva Lopez and Porfirio Olivas-Lopez waived their rights to preliminary hearings during a court appearance on 10/9/08.   They stood mute on the collective charges against them, prompting the court to enter “not guilty” pleas on their behalf.  Additional charges may be filed.

Herrin, IL - Bianca Nicole Starr celebrated her third birthday just weeks ago.  Thanks to her mother, 18-year-old Karrae Starr, little Bianca will never see four.  On Saturday, September 27, police were called to Karrae and Bianca’s apartment.  Bianca was unresponsive.  A few hours later, Bianca was dead.   The only person at home with the toddler on SaturdaySaturday reviews was her mother, Karrae. Las Vegas, NV - Nichole Elizabeth Yegge, called “Nikki”,  would have turned 18 on AugustAugust reviews 8, this coming FridayFriday reviews.  But she won’t have a birthday party or a night out with friends this weekend, because she’s dead.  Nichole’s body was found in a shallow grave in the desert outside Las Vegas last week, her teeth knocked out, her tattoos sliced off.  On Sunday, Anne Osburn, 21, and Gabriel Yates, 31, were arrested for Nichole’s kidnapping and murder. Greenville, SC - On Monday, 8-year-old Dymia Woody did not return home after dusk like she normally did, so her parents started canvasing the neighborhood looking for her. At 10:30 p.m., they called police. Her body was found Tuesday morning in the closet of an abandoned mobile home that was within site of her home. She had been sexually assaulted and died from asphyxia. Police have now arrested a 14-year-old neighbor and charged him with the death of Dymia
