Long Island – Last Thursday, the guys from Rescue Ink: Unleashed got a call about a disturbing case of animal cruelty. The cast, a bunch of big, schmexy, tattooed, biker types who strive to save stolen and abused animals, headed out to the home of 43-year-old Sharon McDonough. Upon discovery of five dogs in the home, crammed into cages, malnourished and neglected, the crew put in a call to the SPCA. Further investigation revealed that the five dogs inside the home were just the tip of the iceberg. The SPCA returned to Sharon’s home Saturday morning armed with a search warrant and some shovels – they wanted to start digging in her back yard. And dig they did, unearthing the remains of as many as 20 cats and dogs.

“It looked like a real murder scene, as if they were gonna pull out dead bodies out there,” neighbor Andrea Martinez said. “The smell was unbearable. They were taking bags out by the dozen. It was crazy.” According to the tipster, Sharon’s oldest son, 21-year-old Doug McDonough, his mother would “buy a new dog, treat it like it was the greatest dog in the world for a few days, then they would sit in the cage until she decided to kill them.” If that wasn’t heinous enough, it is believed she enlisted the help of one of her seven children to hold the animals while she tortured them. “It was a concentration camp for the animals,” Douglas McDonough said. “My sisters and me, we got the end of it, too.” Sharon’s children range in age from 18 months to 21 years.

Though authorities suspect that each of the dead animals belonged to Sharon, her neighbors aren’t so sure. Seems that more than just a couple of cats and dogs have disappeared – never to be seen again. Neighbor Sharyn Padula said three of her animals have gone missing in the past year. “If they find my pets, I want her to pay,” she said. Necropsies are planned on each of the corpses. Five dogs, one cat, a bird, and a hamster were removed from Sharon’s home, alive.

Neighbors say that Sharon has been a ‘little off’ since the death of her husband in an auto accident last year. Sounds like ‘little off’ is a huge understatement. Damn.

Charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty, Sharon McDonough was released without bail yesterday. If convicted on the animal cruelty charges, she faces up to a year in prison on each of the misdemeanor counts. If it is determined that Sharon intentionally killed the animals (ummm, DUH!), the charges could be raised to a felony and she would likely face more time.

Knoxville, Tennessee – What’s up with all the animal cruelty stories lately? I swear to God I am not looking for them – it just seems as if all the local news outlets have a story about some jackass doing something stupid to an animal. In this case the jackass is 45-year-old Jimmy Lovell (nickname “Dog”) and what he did with a small, brown terrier. In front of a crowd of people yelling for him to stop, Lovell dragged the small dog behind his vehicle for about a block before finally stopping. He got out, grabbed the dog and placed her in his vehicle before driving off. The dog was later found abandoned on a roadside. The dog, now named Little Brown Dog, will survive but she got her ass kicked by massive road rash injuries. “Basically, (she has) skin wounds, ligament wounds, joint wounds and bone wounds on all four paws, but she also has a large wound over her sternum or over her breast bone that has been created in a similar manner,” Dr. Patricia Sura said. “Some of her bones have been sheared, so to speak, so they’re only half the width of what they once were because they’ve been ground down to that extent.” Lovell was arrested and felony count of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Now if you go to the source link below be sure to read the comments. As usual with animal cruelty cases, emotions go from one end of the emotional scale to the other. But at the heart of the debate is whether he did this on purpose. If it was just an accident, even I feel that a felony charge is a bit harsh. I get that the dog was severely injured, but if there was no real intent to harm the dog, what the hell?

So that has me wondering why they brought out the big guns? Reading the main article it is clear that people tried stopping Lovell but he continued driving. In his defense, he states he was just scared of the mob of people chasing after him. His defenders state that if he had done it on purpose, why do it in front of a crowd? Why take the dog and place her in the front and not toss her in the back?

And you know, I could even understand all that except for the fact that he abandoned the dog and left her for dead. But I think the reason for the felony charge comes from the a detail in the comments about the dog being his girlfriend’s. along with Knoxville Police Spokesman Darrell DeBusk saying, “A lot of times it’s done to get back at another individual. If the dog is actually owned by somebody else and they’re mad at that individual, then they mistreat the animal to get back at that person.”

LOGAN, Ohio — More animal cruelty at D’D and a teen I wouldn’t mind seeing catch a bit of PETA Hell if what he is accused of doing is true. Prosecutors say 18-year-old Bryan Able killed and mutilated a stranger’s house cat, then used the animal’s organs as fishing bait. Saundra Harvey, an agent with the Humane Society, went into a bit more detail saying he “went to a home, went up on the porch, picked up a cat, took it to his pickup truck, threw it on the ground. The cat was meowing; he stomped its head, proceeded to disembowel it, took its liver and went fishing with it.” But he wasn’t done there. He later took the cat’s carcass and placed it on the hood of a student’s car parked at Hocking College. A college where Able is a law enforcement student. Prosecutors are frustrated because the toughest charge they can file is a misdemeanor animal cruelty charge.

If convicted, Able faces a maximum sentence of six months in prison. But that doesn’t sit well with Hocking County Prosecutor Laina Fetherolf. “Someone who could do something like this has the potential to be a very dangerous person,” Fetherolf said. “The laws need to be changed accordingly.” Look, I know cats are from hell. I own one myself – we hate each other. It stares at me and I know that it is just waiting for me to die so that it can feast on my testicles. But damn, sent from the bowels of hell or not, this cat was someone’s pet. The lack of empathy with some of these animal abusers astounds me at times…as does the abundance of stupidity.

I’m pretty sure I found his Myspace, not that it took a lot of effort, but not gonna post it without proof of it being him. Although, his friends posting pictures of cats in his comments section kinda lean towards it being the same guy.

SYRACUSE, New York – When Joanne Cichy returned home from trick-or-treating with her kids Saturday, she could not find her kitten. It wasn’t until she checked her digital camera the next day that she realized what had happened to it. On the camera was video of her live-in boyfriend, 22-year-old Rascell Williams, using a belt to hang the kitten from a door frame. The video shows the kitten struggling before going motionless and Williams walking in and out of frame. Williams was charged with unjustifiable animal cruelty. The 4-month-old kitten was later found alive under the porch.

Austin, TX – Last month, Christopher Shaw’s roommate went on a week-long vacation and asked Shaw to take care of his cat, Donna, while he was gone. When Shaw’s roommate returned home, he found his beloved Donna broken up and locked inside a laundry room. Shaw allegedly told his roommate that he accidentally stepped on Donna and she scratched him, so he kicked her and locked her up in the laundry room and left her there for several days. When Donna’s owner took her to the vet, an exam showed that she had suffered from much more.

Donna was suffering from severe head trauma, was blind and unable to walk, had cuts on her legs and hind paws, her jaw bone had been ripped down and the wound around the exposed bone had become severely infected. She was so terribly broken, she needed to be put down.

Authorities called bullshit on Shaw’s original story and when confronted with the extent of Donna’s injuries, Shaw told authorities that, ok, he didn’t just kick the cat, he actually kicked her down a flight of stairs. Two different vets called bullshit on that story as well – the injuries just didn’t match Shaw’s story. Not only did he stomp the crap out of the cat, but he left her behind a closed door, to suffer, for a week. I wish I had a mugshot for ya, folks, but as of last Thursday, Christopher Shaw still wasn’t in police custody. If convicted of animal cruelty, Shaw, 25, faces a possible two year jail sentence and fines up to $10,000.

COVINGTON, Kentucky – A boy and a girl, both 12, are charged with taking a neighbor’s pet cat and tossing the animal over a fence into the waiting jaws of another neighbor’s four Chow-mixed dogs. A the cat was torn to shreds, the pair watched. The cat’s owner is pretty upset. “The cat was like a kid to me,” said Ronny Owen. “To me, that is the beginning of a serial killer.” The owner of the dogs isn’t real happy either. “I told them, I don’t see how all of you find something like this funny. It’s not funny,” she said. “Because they were laughing in the back of the cruiser like they couldn’t care less.” The two kids are each charged with one count of first-degree animal cruelty and face up to five years in prison. DeLand, FL – Before you blow your top and end up gracing the front page of the Dreamin’ Demon, remember, there are many effective ways of dealing with stress without resorting to violence. Of course, I neither know nor practice any of them, but I have heard of ways others deal with their tension. Some people shop ’til it hurts. Others drink themselves into oblivion – forgetting their own name and the reason for their angst. Some toke it up and pig out on Doritos until their mood improves. And Morbid, well, he masturbates. A. Lot. (Ask him about his carpal tunnel sometime). When Darren Daniels discovered his wife may have *gasp* smoked his last cigarette, he went postal and killed his pet rat. What the hell the rat had to do with anything is beyond me…I guess there wasn’t a toddler lurking anywhere in the vicinity.

In the midst of a tempter tantrum that would make any two-year-old child proud, Daniels grabbed the pet rat from it’s aquarium, smashed it’s little rat head on the edge of the tank, and proceeded to strangle it to death. Strangled? Really? You gotta be a real he-man to choke a rat to death. His wife, freaked out by the manly show of homicidal violence and perhaps fearing she may be next, ran from the house. She was hanging out on the porch when Darren burst outside screaming that he couldn’t bring the rat back to life. He grabbed his wife by the chest and wouldn’t let go. The woman was able to escape the rat-killer’s clutches after he began to repeatedly bang his own head into the wall. She found safety under a bush somewhere near their apartment complex. She waited there, in her leafy hidey-hole, for about an hour.

It was a neighbor who called 911 after he/she discovered a hole in the wall near the doorway.  When deputies rolled onto the scene, Darren rolled out. They eventually caught up with him, and with the help of some stop sticks, were able to apprehend the fucking nutjob. At the couple’s apartment, officers found two other large white rats, an aquarium with snakes and lizards, and a large python curled up in a ball on the bedroom floor – the rest of the animals were unharmed.

Darren Daniels, 22, is looking at charges of battery and fleeing. It is not known whether he will face animal cruelty charges. He has already made $3,000 bail and was released from his cage. He could make bail but couldn’t buy another pack of friggin’ smokes?!? His mamma had this to say about her adorable spawn: “He don’t have a mental problem. He lacks self control and needs to grow up and act like an adult.” Yeah. Something like that…

AUSTIN, Texas – A woman learned that the man who was living with her, 26-year-old Cecil Leary, had been abusive to his previous girlfriend. So in a big twist on this site, she told him to get out. A month later, she returns home to find the door of her apartment ajar and in another intelligent decision rarely seen here, she didn’t go in – rather, she called police. When they went inside, they found the place had been vandalized,  spray painted walls, broken furniture and oddly enough, a dog crate being held in a bathtub full of water with a televisions sitting on top. Also, her 3-month-old pit bull puppy, Lovely, was nowhere to be found. But the fate of her dog would soon be revealed through a series of text messages she would receive from Leary.

Turns out Leary did actually drown the dog by putting the puppy in the carrier, then putting that into his ex-girlfriend’s bathtub. He placed the television on top of the carrier so it would not float and then filled the tub with hot water. A few days after receiving these texts (where Leary also complained that she still had some of his shit) police located the body of Lovely in some nearby woods. An arrest warrant has now been issued for Leary on a charge of felony animal cruelty. Leary has not been located.

If that is true, tell me, why is the worthless creature still breathing without the aid of a machine and some tubing? Through Daily’s computer, investigators were able to track down some of the slime that responded to the ad. They are as follows: Robert Thompson, 34; David Garcia, 41; Patricio Moreno, 43; and Alisa Nice, 31. The girl told them that Daily had, on more than one occasion, tied her up and forced her into group sex with these skeevy fuckers. He forced her to have sex with him. He forced her to have sex with his dog. Good thing the asshole had a thing for photography – because without that kind of proof, this shit would be hard to believe. The 4-year-old child was located and interviewed – she confirmed the abuse. That little girl is being cared for at a child abuse assessment center in McMinville.

Stuart, FL - While partying with friends Saturday evening, Cassandra Lauderdale took a break from the festivities to bathe her dog, a Catahoula named Dolly. Maybe Cassandra was scrubbin’ the pup’s nether-regions too hard, or maybe Dolly just thought her human was a total bitch, but, for whatever reason, Dolly allegedly turned around and nipped at Cassandra. Chances are, the human bitch had been cruel to the canine bitch on a fairly regular basis. Anyway, Cassandra stewed and seethed over that nip for the next 24 hours. The next night, Cassandra exacted her revenge. Partying again, with several guests in attendance, Cassandra reportedly stabbed that bitch to death.

Officers were called to the home at about 10:30 Sunday evening after one of Cassandra’s guests called to report that she had just stabbed her dog. When deputies arrived and asked Cassandra where her pooch was, her response was, “I killed the bitch.” She also mentioned that she had every right to kill that dog and it was nobody’s damn business. Snarky bitch. One party goer told deputies that he witnessed Cassandra dragging the yelping dog into the bathroom, and, oh yeah, she changed her clothes before the cops showed up. Another witness reported seeing Cassandra dragging the dead dog out of the bathroom and heard her saying she buried it. The bathroom was a bloody mess – bloody towels, bloody clothes, bloody knife, and a leash and collar. Dolly was found in the back yard, dead from multiple stab wounds.

A friend of Cassandra’s told officers that this wasn’t the first time Dolly had tried to bite Cassandra. “This particular dog, no, it’s not the first time,” Crystal Morris said. “But she’s also had another dog bite her before and we had that one put down, but the Humane Society did it, and this time she didn’t want to wait for the Humane Society to come get it, so she did it herself.”

Cassandra Lauderdale, 23, was arrested and charged with animal cruelty resulting in death. Bail was set at $2,500. It’s somewhat comforting to know that officers seized a rifle and a shotgun from her bedroom.

CHICAGO, Illinois – A dog with its eye ripped out, a dog with a leg twisted backward and a dog with its lower extremities nearly ripped off its body. That’s just a taste of what police found during a raid on a Chicago home daycare. Seems as if it wasn’t just children the owner’s were caring for. In a garage attached to the back of the house, dog-fighting equipment was located. In fact, when police arrived on Tuesday, they found “a very aggressive” pit bull in the garage, with blood on the floor and along the sides of a car. “Also in the garage were syringes, medication, bite sticks and harnesses used in dog fights,” the sheriff’s office said in a release. “The chest of the dog found in that garage was shredded from a recent fight and its penis was bitten almost completely off.” Some video after the jump, as well as a link to the full article which should piss you off. Roseville, MI – Kimberly Ross and her 13-year-old daughter returned home just before 11:00 p.m. Monday evening to hear an odd ‘clunking sound’ coming from their washing machine. I can only imagine their horror when they opened up the door to see their new little kitten, Ruby, lifelessly bouncing around in the spin cycle. If that, in itself, wasn’t bad enough, the Ross family had also been robbed. Some kitty killing, sticky fingered criminal had ransacked their home – making off with a laptop, video game system, and some cold hard cash. Oh, and did I mention the pilferer actually removed a load of laundry from the machine in order to make room for the 7-month-old 6-pound kitty? Nice.

The Michigan Humane Society offered up a $2,000 reward, and CrimeStoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to Ruby’s killer or killers. Authorities made a break in the case on Wednesday with the arrest of 19-year-old Ty-Shawn Bost. Though they haven’t specified what led them to arrest Ty-Shawn, they had enough evidence to serve a warrant and make an arrest. During questioning, Ty-Shawn admitted to his involvement in the kitten’s death, stating that the animal was tossed in the wash because “it was bugging him.” Gimme a break you fucking punk. What the hell could a 6-pound kitten possibly do to deserve that kind of treatment? Purr at ya? I don’t even like cats and this story just pisses me off. Asshole. Authorities say that Ty-Shawn has absolutely no connection to Ruby’s human family and believe that it was more than likely a crime of opportunity. They don’t believe the asshat acted alone, but have not named any other suspects as of yet.

The asshole is now sitting behind bars charged with one count of second-degree home invasion, a 15-year felony, and one count of killing or torturing an animal, a 4-year felony. Kittery, Maine Delving into the psychology behind animal cruelty produces a glimpse into the motivation. It’s said that those who would commit such a horrendous act may feel unnoticed, powerless, and perhaps under the control of others. “They” also state that the perpetrators may abuse animals to threaten, shock or offend others, perhaps demonstrating a rejection of societies rules. “They” also claim the ass committing these acts may be copying something they’ve seen or something that may have been done to them, or perhaps a safe way to seek revenge on someone who owns that pet. Maybe this is why I never pursued my major – I call this psychology bullshit. People like Matthew Dorrbecker, who mutilate animals for shits and giggles, are just sick fucks.

I can hear it now. One of the articles I found starts out with “The son of a Navy submarine commander”. The defense attorneys for this 20-year-old boy are probably going to claim Matthew’s daddy was always gone, he didn’t get a lot of attention, and what attention he did receive was too strict coming from a disciplinarian. I hope I’m wrong. I hope they leave that shit out of it when he goes to court.

Police were making a routine check of a closed playground at a school when they noticed Matthew Dorrbecker walking away with a dufflebag. When police questioned him he stated he was just finishing working out but when police looked in that gym bag, they allegedly found bloody butcher knife and bloody gloves. Behind the school they discovered a message scrawled in blood and a bloody path that led into the woods where they found the remains of a gutted black cat.

“Stop Please,” “He made me,” “My mind,” “No holes,” are four messages clearly seen written on the pavement. Matthew was immediately handcuffed and admitted to strangling and gutting the cat. “We believe he has some mental issues,” states the Kittery police chief. (Really? What may have been your first clue?) Matthew has been checked into the local hospital for a little psychiatric evaluation.

There have been a few mysterious disappearance of cats in the Kittery area spanning over the last month or so…one was found hanging by it’s neck from a tree. Although the police don’t yet know if those can be linked to Matthew, I sure hope they find out soon if they have more than one sick fuck on their hands. And if it is Matthew, I find the progression of abuse disturbing.

Akron, OH – Most of us here have a soft spot in our heart for our critters – some of us treat them like family. Whether it be cats or dogs, rats or rabbits, hamsters or fish – we love them and they love us back. And, most of them do so unconditionally. We all have our favorite type of critter, one that meshes with our personality and our lifestyle. Regardless of which type of critter you prefer, they are all living creatures. They feel love, they feel fear, they feel pain. They don’t deserve to be abused, neglected, or maimed any more than most of the human population. To abuse another living creature for shits and giggles and turn around and brag about it is not only heinous, it’s fucking retarded. Take Elizabeth Carlisle for example. Elizabeth used to work at a Petland pet store. Thanks to her cruel antics, she is now unemployed and the store has been permanently closed. The little bitch drowned a couple of injured rabbits she was being paid to care for. If that shit wasn’t bad enough, the bitch posed for the camera, a dead rabbit in each hand, and posted the pic on her Facebook. *Warning: The picture that follows the jump might be disturbing to some. It sure as hell ruined my day.

The deliberate drowning occurred on July 28 in the back room of an Akron Petland store. The rabbits had already sustained numerous injuries after they had been allowed to attack each other in the same pen. The injuries included deep wounds to their bodies, a broken jaw, a missing eye, and one was paralyzed from the waist down. Had these rabbits been provided with the proper care and supervision, it is highly likely that neither would have sustained any injuries, period. Elizabeth took it upon herself to end their misery. I don’t know if many of you are familiar with rabbits, but I gotta tell ya, when they are scared or in pain, they scream. Like a baby in pain. It is a chilling and heart-wrenching sound. I can only hope, if they had the chance to scream before being submerged, that bitch hears the echoes for years.

From Petland’s statement to the press:

Petland policy demands that medical treatment and protocol is to be provided and determined by the store’s consulting veterinarian and not be undertaken by an employee. Petland policy also dictates that no animal be euthanized in ANY manner by any staff member.

Back to the picture she is so fucking proud of. When one of her Facebook friends inquired as to whether or not Elizabeth drowned the rabbits she was holding in her hands, she wrote, “[T]he manager took the pic for me. [S]he reminded me that there were people outside as [I] was swearing at them to just hurry up and die but then she was so kind as to take this picture.” Based on the ‘hurry up and die’ remark, I’m thinking those rabbits might have put up a bit of a fight. Her dad, Joe Carlisle, had this to say: “She is a good, good person who is innocent totally as a human being of any and all wrongdoing,” he said. “She is being unfairly maligned.” Joe, your kid is an idiot. It doesn’t take more than a couple of brain cells to figure out that if you post a pic like that, you’re gonna have to deal with the bullshit that follows.

Elizabeth Carlisle, 20, has now been charged with two counts of animal cruelty and is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 17.

Las Cruces, NM-Carlos Sanchez-Trillo, 20, has a nasty temper when things do not go his way. Last Wednesday, officers responded to a report of domestic violence where they found a 3-5 month old Chihuahua mix named Lucky badly injured. The officers learned that Sanchez-Trillo had become angry when his 18-year old girlfriend had returned home late from giving blood. Sanchez-Trillo allegedly grabbed his girlfriend by her arm, twisted it behind her back, and removed a ring on one of her fingers.

Sanchez-Trillo then told his girlfriend her dog, Lucky, which had began going into seizures, was going to die because it was left outside in the heat too long. But two witnesses at the residence told police that Sanchez-Trillo had submerged the dog in the bathtub in an attempt to drown it and then threw it against a wall. Sanchez-Trillo then beat the dog with with a rolled-up magazine. Unfortunately, Lucky did not live up to his name and was later euthanized by county animal control officers. Sanchez-Trillo was charged with battery against a household member and one fourth-degree felony count of extreme animal cruelty.

Besides Lucky, there were two other Chihuahua-mixes in the residence as well as three pit bulls. Sanchez-Trillo allegedly threw his sister’s Chihuahua down a flight of stairs two months ago, breaking one of its legs. One of the witnesses claimed Sanchez-Trillo had also previously punched one of his dogs in the face and ran over another dog, breaking its leg as well. They said that as a child, Sanchez-Trillo had a habit of blowing up frogs with firecrackers. Sanchez-Trillo was being detained under a no-bond hold for violating probation for a previous aggravated burglary and larceny charge.
