Orange Park, Florida – On Monday afternoon, Somer Thompson, 7, was walking home from Grove Park Elementary with a group of kids that included her twin brother and 10-year-old sister. After getting into an argument with some of the group, she began running home. She has not been seen since. An Amber Alert has since been issued. Thompson is white, 3 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 65 pounds. She has brown hair that was in a pony tail and was wearing a cranberry colored jumpsuit with pink stripes and a black T-shirt underneath. Her backpack is black with pink and white skulls and crossbones. “This is an all-out search,” Sgt. Dan Mahla, of the Clay County Sheriff’s Department said at a news conference Tuesday afternoon. “We are going to keep trying and trying and trying. Dallas, Texas–Hinky meters were going off like crazy when the story of Daisja Weaver hit the forums last Wednesday. Daisja’s mother, Tamaira Creagh, had quite a frightening tale to tell. Last Tuesday evening, while Tamaira was preparing to move items to a new apartment, a Hispanic male, dressed in red and black, entered her apartment and attempted to sexually assault her…she managed to fight him off. Philadelphia, PA–It started with a call to 911…Bonnie Sweeten informed a dispatcher that the SUV she and her daughter were in had been rear-ended by a Cadillac. Following the accident, two black men exited their vehicle, grabbed Sweeten and her daughter, shoved them in the Caddie’s trunk, and sped off…and that’s where she was calling from. CANCELED – Je-ni Cushondra Scott told her father that she managed to escape from a home on the south end of Grandville Street, and he picked her up near Warren and EvergreenEvergreen reviews at about 11:50 a.m. today, Detroit Police Det. Sgt. James Graham said.

Detroit - An Amber Alert has been issued for 13-year-old Je-ni Cushondra Scott from Detroit. Her father states he dropped her off at a bus stop near Grand River Ave. and Greenfield Rd. at 7:30 a.m. Monday. He later received a text message from her in which she texted she was locked in a basement of a house on Grandville Road. He then received nine text messages from her in a two hour time span that included her texting that her battery was dying.

BRADENTON, Florida – On Monday, migrant worker Rosa Sirilo-Francisco was at the Hillsborough County Health Department with her 2-month-old daughter Sandra Cruz-Francisco for a routine checkup. She was approached by a woman, 43-year-old Amalia Tabata Pereira, who informed her that she was an immigration official and that they were at their home waiting to deport them to Mexico. If Sandra was handed over, Amalia told Sirilo-Francisco, she could stay in the United States.

Esme Kenney

Cincinnati, OH–The lovely young lady you see above is 13-year-old Esme Kenney. Esme, the baby of the family, was a seventh-grader who attended the School for Creative & Performing Arts. A gifted child, she was a vocal music major and an instrumental music major. She sang in the choir and played the cello in the junior high orchestra. She loved talking on the phone, playing cello, and doing homework.

Esme went out for a jog on SaturdaySaturday reviews…she never made it back home.

At around 4:30 Monday morning, the couple awoke to the sound of their 3-year-old daughter, Francis, screaming. Putnam County, FL - I usually deal with fear and disgust by hiding behind humour, it works well for me most of the time. As I read about missing Florida girl, Haleigh Cummings, I feel a chill that no humour can mask. This makes writing far more difficult for me, no emotional buffers. At approximately 3:30 am yesterday morning, 5 year old Haleigh Cummings of Hermit’s Cove, FL was not in her bed when her father’s girlfriend checked on her shortly before her father arrived home from work.  In fact, she was nowhere to be found at all.  By 11:00 am an Amber Alert had been issued by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Seminole County, FL–Julinia Moreno’s nomination for MotherMother reviews of the Year has just been ripped to pieces, set on fire, stomped on, and flushed down the toilet. So, don’t be looking for her at the award ceremony.

Moreno, 24, wanted to party SaturdaySaturday reviews night but couldn’t find a sitter. No problem. She placed her 1-year-old son, Jamir Worgs, into his car seat, went to the party, left the car running, and left him alone in the car. He sat out there alone, for hours…while she partied. That’s only the beginning of this twisted tale of tardism.

UPDATE 10/26/08 – Paige and Levi have been found and their parents are en route to pick them up in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where they were spotted under an overpass. The car Levi had stolen from his parents was abandoned in Omaha, Nebraska, and the pair had only sleeping bags for shelter.  They have been taken to juvie, where they are awaiting their parents.  I’m guessing that somebody’s gonna get grounded.  We at the Demon are always happy for a happy ending – and a safe recovery is very happy indeed.   Score another one for the D’D Amber Alert tradition, and good lookin’ out to the person who spotted them.  Yay!

Lathrop, MO - Christina Paige Alley, 14, and Levi Samuel Carlson, 16, are missing.  They were last seen at a high school football game in Lathrop, Missouri nearly a week ago.   The pair was seen at the football game, and Paige Alley got permission to go home after the band performed at halftime.  Paige and Levi have not been seen since, and the credit cards they each had have not been used in the five days since they disappeared.  [Read more...]

UPDATE 10/19/08 -Cole Puffinburger has been found SAFE in Las Vegas.

At about 11:30 EST last night, a citizen called police about a little boy walking the streets in Las Vegas. When police arrived to get the child, they found that he was Cole Puffinburger. Cole was taken to a hospital to be checked out but appears to be relatively unharmed, at least physically. Details at the bottom of this article.

Las Vegas, NV - Early Wednesday morning, six-year-old Cole Puffinburger was kidnapped from his Las Vegas home by two or three armed Hispanic men posing as police officers. At least, that’s the story police got when they were called yesterday by Cole’s mother. [Read more...]
