Chicago, IL — Marcos Santos was charged with aggravated abuse of a child after police say he burned his 2-year-old son’s genitals with a hot frying pan after the kid requested a diaper change earlier this month.
According to police, the toddler toddled into the kitchen and informed Santos that he needed a diaper change. Santos apparently got angry when the child’s diaper fell apart, so he did what any sane parent would do in the same situation….he swept up all the stinky, soaking wet pieces of cotton and threw them in the trash. Just kidding – he grabbed a hot frying pan and placed it on the kid’s crotch, causing first- and second-degree burns to the boy’s penis, scrotum and thigh.
Police say Santos then attempted to treat the kid’s burns with toothpaste – it wasn’t until three days after the fact that medical assistance was sought.
Santos, 39, has been ordered held on $500,000 bond. Kiddo’s mom, 36-year-old Joanna Pawlina, is also charged with endangering the life and health of a child, a misdemeanor, because she was fully aware of the injuries and failed to seek medical attention.…

ORLANDO, Fla. – Officials say a woman angry about her daughter being bullied on Facebook, walked into her kid’s middle school and struck a student before instructing her daughter to fight.
The incident happened Tuesday morning at Lockhart Middle School where 30-year-old Leslie Thomas allegedly entered and struck a student near the cafeteria. She then told her daughter to fight the other girl, preventing others from stopping the brawl once it started, even striking another child in the process.
Thomas was arrested on charges of that included child abuse and battery. Her children have been removed from her and placed in the care of relatives. In the video attached to the link above, a reporter asks Thomas if she struck a child but you can’t hear her response because of a really long beep.
This isn’t the first bullying story we have posted where a mother encourages her daughter to fight while also getting in a few licks of their own. Daphne Melin, Chesica White, and Latena Fitzgerald are just a few mothers who, like Thomas, were frustrated over bullying and tried stopping it in the dumbest ways imaginable.…

CLEVELAND, OH – Police have arrested a man, accusing him of shoving a baby wipe down his infant’s throat.
Joshua Rains, 25, was arrested Wednesday at the MetroHealth Medical Center and charged with felony child endangerment after his eight-week-old son had to have a baby wipe surgically removed from his throat.
Rains told police that while changing the child’s diaper he wiped his son’s mouth with a baby wipe only to notice the wipe had disappeared. Once he figured out his little shop-vac had swallowed the wipe, he said he tried to pull it out, but only succeeded in jamming it further down the baby’s throat.
Police are calling bullshit and say his description of events doesn’t jive with the baby’s injuries. The baby’s current condition is unknown, but he was on life support on Saturday. Interesting to note, this isn’t the infant’s first visit to the hospital for an injury. At five days old he was treated for a detached eye lens, and I just shuddered while typing that.…

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A man in Texas is facing criminal charges after his infant son was burned with hot cheese from inside a Pizza Pocket.
Police say 32-year-old Lionel Brown was arguing with the baby’s mother while microwaving a pizza pocket. The argument escalated to the point that Brown went after the woman, who was holding their 3-month-old son, and attempted to smash the pizza pocket in her face.
In doing so, scalding hot cheese oozed out of the pizza pocket and dripped on to their infant, causing redness and blisters to his neck. Brown grabbed his from the woman and slapped her twice before she was able to get the baby back and call police.
Brown, who was already wanted for not registering as a sex offender, was charged with injury to a child.
Speaking of food related burns, the worst one I ever experienced was after biting into a piece of pizza fresh from the oven and having the entire topping slide off in my teeth. It left me with a goatee made from a layer of melted cheese, adhered to my chin by a mixture of scalding hot tomato sauce and my salty tears.…

STANTON, TX – Police have arrested a man after they say he immersed his girlfriend’s baby in scalding hot water.
According to reports, a woman left her infant son in the care of her boyfriend, 24-year-old Dominick Peña, while she went to work on Tuesday. Some time later Peña called to inform her that the boy had been burned.
The woman rushed home and immediately took her son to the hospital. He was then flown to a Lubbock burn unit because of the severity of his injuries. Doctor’s say the boy is in serious condition, suffering from 2nd degree burns to his body.
Peña was arrested and charged with injury to a child, a 1st degree felony, and is being held in the Martin County Jail while police continue their investigation and try to refrain from beating Peña’s ass.
“You just have to think outside of being a human and just think as an officer and do your job according to the law because it’s hard to not be really upset with this,” said Sheriff Woodward.…

WHITMORE, Calif. – We have hundreds of stories involving women killing their infants after giving birth. Some choose to suffocate the baby while others stab them to death. Others, like the woman police arrested in California, let their baby starve to death.
Jessica Nicole Bradford, 23, was arrested Sunday after the mummified remains of her baby were found inside a utility closet at Julian Youth Academy. Bradford lived and worked at the school that’s described as a Christian residential boarding school for troubled teens.
She admitted to police that after getting pregnant she hid her pregnancy from everyone, including her boyfriend of three years, giving birth to a baby girl on Sep 19th. Instead of dropping her off at a hospital, or giving the child up for adoption, Bradford decided to kill the infant by doing nothing it all, including not even giving the girl a name.
She admitted to hiding her daughter in a vacant building where she lived for four days before starving to death. Bradford said she would periodically check on her baby during this time to check on the progress of her murder, in between working and visiting her boyfriend.…

Daytona Beach, FL – I hate writing stories about baby rape almost as much as I hate baby rapers, but I couldn’t talk Jaded into writing this article about a teen accused of raping a 9-month-old girl, so here goes.
On Thursday afternoon, a woman called 911 to report her neighbor, 19-year-old Edwin Wren, came to her house stating there was an emergency in the home where he was staying. She said she ran to the neighbor’s house and immediately saw blood on the carpet.
Knowing that the couple who lived there had a baby girl they often left in Wren’s care, she started looking for her and found the infant crying in pain and bleeding profusely.
“I went in there to check on the baby … and it looks like the baby has been raped,” the distraught neighbor sobbed in the 911 call. “She was crying really bad when I got there.”
The baby was taken by EVAC ambulance to the hospital where she underwent surgery to repair tears to her body, Gary Davidson, Volusia County sheriff’s spokesman said.…

Texas – As a redditor (AuntieChrist) who mainly lurks in /r/wtf to keep an eye out for any interesting news articles, I have watched a video posted on Reddit blow the fcuk up this morning. The video shows a man beating the crap out of his teen daughter because she was downloading music and games on to her computer using Kazaa.
The video was made in 2004, but the girl getting assaulted has waited until now to upload the video because she “wanted the world to know the truth.” While most readers of D’D read articles here detailing abuse that make the following video look like family game night, I am posting it because the man doing the beating is William Adams, a Texas court-at-law judge.

Jacksonville, FL — Troy Howell, 29, was taken into custody Wednesday after a drug bust not only revealed an “elaborate” grow station in his mobile home, but a teen chained to a mattress, as well.
The teen, Howell’s 18-year-old nephew, reportedly told police his uncle kept him chained up in a padlocked room to prevent him from running off and telling authorities about the grow operation.
“A really heavy linked chain ran through the floor — it’s a mobile home — tied to an axle under the house and ran up and it chained him around his neck to keep him from running away” said Chief Investigator Chuck Brannan, of the Baker County Sheriff’s Office.
Police said the teen had marks on his neck, a black eye, and various bumps and bruises on his head, shoulders and back. It wasn’t all bad, though…the kid apparently had some sort of doorbell within reach to alert someone when he needed to use the restroom or grab a bite to eat.
Howell, the teen’s supposed guardian, had the wrong kid chained up – it was actually another one of his young charges that turned him in….…

North Platte, Nebraska – This will be the last one for me today before I head out to start a mini Halloween vacation full of bourbon, pulled pork and horror movies.
A mom in Nebraska has been arrested, along with three other adults, after two of her sons were found locked inside a dog kennel.
When police went out to check the welfare of four children living in a trailer, they found a nasty-ass mobile home full of the usual trash, shit and piss you come to expect in stories like this.
But a disgusting trailer full of animal turds isn’t what got some people slapped with felony child abuse charges. It was the dog kennel found in the trailer that contained a filthy mattress and 22-year-old Ashley Clark’s two boys, ages 3 and 5.
Clark told investigators that she only locked her two sons in the dog kennel, which measured 42 inches by 30 inches, to keep them from climbing out the window and out of her mobile dump.
The two boys were removed from the trailer and placed in state custody along with two girls, ages 8-years-old and 8-months-old, who also lived in the trailer with their parents, 25-year-old Bryson L.…

Oneida, NY — Two women are facing child endangerment charges after allegedly forcing a 2-year-old child to eat feces from his own diaper.
Police allege that caregiver Julie Patane squeezed a soiled diaper out and dribbled the contents on the child’s mouth, forcing him to eat it. She is also alleged to have placed an actual turd on the kid’s lips and demanded that he swallow it down. Another child in the home reportedly witnessed the child being forced to snack on his own crap.
Oneida Police Chief David Meeker said, “I think she just lost her cool or something trying to potty train the child and unfortunately didn’t know how to handle it.”
Though very few details are available, the child was apparently sportin’ numerous bruises, leading police to believe that Patane may have been responsible.
“It was the number of bruises and where they were located that made it kind of odd,” Chief Meeker said.
Where was this child’s mother, you ask? From what I gather, she has been allowing Patane to care for the child for more than a year now.…

Anaheim, CA — The pathetic lookin’ sack of crap to the left is 24-year-old Joshua Robey – he’s accused of trying to kill his 2-month-old son by repeatedly shaking and punching him and swinging him around by the neck in a “noose-like” blanket.
Robey’s girlfriend apparently suspected him of cheating on her, so she set up a hidden camera in her home to record him while he was alone in the home, caring for the infant. And I can’t even begin to imagine the horror, fear, anger and revulsion she felt when she viewed the recording the next morning.
According to prosecutors, Robey is seen wrapping a blanket around the infant’s neck and picking him up by lifting both ends of the blanket like a noose. He is then seen swinging the child, by his neck, for more than a minute. He was just gettin’ started…
Police said Robey laid the child down and proceeded to punch him in the chest several times with a closed fist. He then slapped the child numerous times, grabbed him by the throat and began to violently shake him.…

Fayetteville, NC — Police say a mother and her boyfriend are facing charges for failing to seek medical assistance after the woman’s 4-year-old child shot himself in the hip more than a month ago.
According to investigators, the boy shot himself back on August 26, but wasn’t seen at the hospital until October 5. The initial complaint at that time was that the child was having difficulty walking. Now, I’m not a doctor, but I’m guessing that the bullet found lodged in the kid’s hip may have played a factor in said gimpiness.
The boy’s mother, 26-year-old Quinisha Edwards, turned herself in Friday night – her bond was set at $100,000. Mom’s boyfriend, 25-year-old Vincent Massey, turned himself in on Saturday morning and is being held on a $185,000 secured bond. Both are now facing charges of felony child abuse, failure to store a firearm to protect a child, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Massey faces an additional charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.…

Eerie, Colo – Last one for me before I start the weekend. Police have arrested a couple after a man returned home to find a frightened boy hiding under his front porch.
Amanda Jolliff, 36, and her boyfriend, Richard Smith, 31, have been charged with child abuse, false imprisonment and crimes against an At Risk juvenile after they say they kept Joliff’s 14-year-old son locked in a room inside their mobile home.
The boy finally escaped after being left in the mobile home alone, but since he didn’t have anywhere to go, he crawled under a neighbors porch to sleep. The man who found the boy told reporters the boy “was terrified” and didn’t want to be home when his mom and her boyfriend got back.
Officers described a disgusting living situation when they entered the mobile home where the boy lived.

BRIDGEPORT, CT – I was just about to write a story about a woman in Pennsylvania who abandoned her kid in a Taco Bell parking lot when I found an update on 29-year-old Juliette Dunn who Jaded posted about back in July. She and another woman have admitted to supplying beer and cocaine to Dunn’s 4-year-old son and 10-month-old daughter.
Dunn and 33-year-old Lisa Jefferson both plead guilty Wednesday to two counts of risk of injury to a child after an event that happened back in June. Police were flagged down by someone who informed them Dunn and Jefferson were at a playground with Dunn’s two young children. They said they watched Jefferson make Dunn’s 4-year-old son chug a bottle of beer. When he had finished, Jefferson allegedly called the boy an alcoholic.
When police approached the women there was an empty 40-ounce bottle of Steel reserve beer on the ground beside the boy and a baby bottle was next to the 10-month-old girl that contained a dark liquid that smelled like alcohol.…

Norman, OK — A man accused of biting a 1-month-old infant in his care reportedly told police he did so out of frustration.
Thomas Culbertson, 22, was charged with four counts of child abuse by injury after the child was admitted to the hospital with a broken leg, multiple bite marks and a torn rectum.
According to police, Culbertson admitted to biting the child’s foot out of frustration earlier this month, leaving a bruise. He also admitted to having chomped on the girl on at least two other occasions – once on her back and again on her leg. He told police the broken leg was an accidental injury that occurred when the child fell off of a dresser.
And the torn rectum? Culbertson reportedly admitted to causing the injury, but no further details were given. My guess is he got a bit aggressive while changing the kid’s diaper.
Hospital personnel reported that all of the injuries were abusive in nature and nonaccidental.
Culbertson is currently being held on $250,000 bail. The child is expected to recover.…

YELM, Wash. — A couple have gotten themselves into some trouble after doling out a rather unorthodox form of punishment on to their 16-year-old daughter after she went to a party without permission.
After her father, 38-year-old Fremon Seay, picked the teen up from what he called a “crack house,” he brought her home and whipped her legs with a switch while he sat on her back. Feeling that this punishment wasn’t adequate, Seay came up with a radical form of punishment — a sword fight.
Seay, being one of those “Renaissance fighters” who dress up in medieval garb and participates in mock sword fights, figured out a way to discipline his daughter and get in some training at the same time.
He suited up in medieval armor then made the girl do the same, handing her a wooden sword. Then, from 2 to 4 a.m. Sunday, he forced the girl to duel him in the front yard until “she could no longer stand from exhaustion.”
When the fight was over and Seay declared victory, he reportedly apologized to his daughter when he saw the extensive bruises she had suffered to her face, torso and legs, telling her that he did not mean for things to go that far. Police got involved after the teen texted pictures of her injuries to a friend who then called 911.…

Bartow, FL — Hattie Branch, a former Polk County bus attendant, is facing charges of child abuse after a physical confrontation with a 14-year-old boy on her bus was captured on surveillance video.
The recently released video shows the teen in question engaging in horseplay and tossing a 5-year-old over a bus seat while the bus was parked on school grounds back in June. The younger boy’s legs swung around and his feet accidentally hit Branch as she was walking by. “He done hit me!” yelled Branch. And it was on…..
Branch, just 4’7″, lunged at the much taller teen. She knocked that kid on his ass, smacked him around a bit, put him in a full nelson, pulled his hair and got all bitey. Rochester, NY — Pedro Cordero is facing charges after police say he punished his 7-year-old daughter by holding her hands over an electric stove element and siccing the family dog on her.
Police say Cordero held both of the child’s hands over the burning element, causing second-degree burns, before sticking her in a room with the family dog and ordering the critter to attack. So, on top of the burns, the kid was left with bruising and dog bites, too. Nice.
The douche reportedly failed to seek medical treatment for the child. Police say the kid’s grandma finally stepped in and had the kid seen at the hospital…several days later. Cordero was then booked on charges of assault and child endangerment.

Woman Accused Of Stapling Stepdaughter’s Ear, Burning Her With Iron

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A woman in California has found herself in a bit of trouble after a recent visit to the DMV where her stepdaughter informed a stranger that she was being abused.
Police say when 35-year-old Duewa Lee went to use the bathroom at the DMV, her 12-year-old stepdaughter informed someone there she was being tortured at the hands of her stepmother. She claimed that not only was she being beaten, but that Lee had burned her with an iron and stapled her ear.
A DMV employee reported the girl’s claims to the Sheriff’s Department, proving that they’re not all totally worthless human beings whose entire purpose in life is to make you as miserable as they are.
On Wednesday, Lee was taken into custody and placed in jail on suspicion of 10 counts of endangering the life or health of a child and one count of torture. The Sheriff’s Department, who placed the girl into protective custody after a medical evaluation, said the abuse had been going on for several months.
